Of course Americans are sympathetic to racism...when it is legitimate. This incident has only as much to do with race as Mrs. McKinney accuses. Her statement of 'This incident started with the inappropriate grabbing of ME...a female, black, congresswoman' is a baseless accusation of racism. First and foremost, she was violating rules, to which the officer responded; the fact that she is a black female is just circumstance.

McKinney's actions disgust me, and I'm glad at least a few democrats are coming out to condemn her actions.

Yes, and sadly, what Cindy is doing is desensitizing us to incidents of real racism, like to boy who called wolf.
