Are you a Liberal?
Ed Lynch reveals the the early warning signs. Best go check it out, just to be sure.
You might be a liberal if …
You think that if someone is getting richer, someone, somewhere, must be getting poorer.
You think that Rush Limbaugh’s listeners are mindless "dittoheads," but you have never doubted anything that you heard from Michael Moore.
You believe in global warming today just as firmly as you believed in global cooling back in the 1970s.
You believe that there was never, ever a problem with biased news coverage until Fox News went on the air.
You think that Dan Rather got a raw deal.
You think that the phrase "separation of church and state" is in the Constitution.
You are worried about how the French view Americans.
You believe that nativity scenes should be banned from public view, but that anyone objecting to pornography “only has to look the other way."
Those are just my favorites, there's more. Read the rest!

Hillary is evil - and so is Bill
In 1999, a survey of nearly 20,000 readers of the New York Post ranked Mrs. Clinton the sixth most evil person of the millennium.
Her husband, then-President Bill Clinton was ranked No. 2 on the evil list, second only to Adolf Hitler and way above mass-murdering Soviet leader Josef Stalin.
Hitler received 8.67 percent, or 1,664 votes, and Clinton received 8.47 percent, or 1,625, placing him well above mass-murdering Soviet leader Josef Stalin, who got 6.69 percent, or 1,284 votes. And Herself, came in sixth on the survey, with 3.99 percent and 765 votes.
Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Dr. Josef Mengele were offered up as choices, along with Saddam Hussein, Charles Manson, Idi Amin, Genghis Khan, Jeffrey Dahmer, Benito Mussolini, Ayatollah Khomeini, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Ivan the Terrible, Fidel Castro, Vlad the Impaler, Timothy McVeigh and Marquis de Sade. Neither of the Clintons were among the choices - their names were written in, by respondents.
Ah, but that was then and this is now. The make-over has begun.
On this year's Gallup survey, Bill Clinton finished second to President George W. Bush for the most admired man.
Herself is now the most admired woman, edging out Oprah Winfrey.

Tsunami Victims
From Nealz Nuze:
CNN was carrying a video clip yesterday showing a disaster survivor screaming "Please tell the world, where is America?" He had just survived a terrible natural disaster and may well have lost members of his family, and there he is asking "Where is America?"
His screams just validate what most of us already know ... when times get rough pretty well anywhere in the world the people affected look to America for help. One day they may be demonstrating outside an American embassy demanding for the withdrawal of all things American from their part of the world, and they next day they reflexively look to America for rescue.
These people will put aside their desires for American weakness until this tragedy is passed. Then it will be back to business as usual.
See the t-shirt the man is wearing as he watches a strecher being carried by? (click to enlarge the picture)
This is probably a tsunami victim who will be screaming for more aid from America as the tragedy unfolds.
Thanks for the tip Warren

Who is Ramsey Clark?
The Antiprotestor Journal sums Clark up in a few short paragraphs:
Clark is well-known for having far left political views and for providing legal counsel to numerous dictators and mass murderers. He is also highly critical of most US foreign policy. Though he accuses the Bush administration and Israel of Nazi-like war crimes, it is interesting to note that Clark's client Karl Linnas, an ex-Nazi concentration camp guard in Estonia, was reponsible for the murder of some 12,000 resistance fighters and Jews during WWII.
Clark has also represented the deposed president of Liberia, Charles Taylor during his 1985 fight against extradition from the United States to Liberia, and in 1989, fringe candidate Lyndon LaRouche, who faced charges of conspiracy and mail fraud.
Clark also represented Slobodan Milosevic in the International Criminal Court and Elizaphan Ntakirutimana, a leader of the Rwandan genocide.
He also represented PLO leaders in a lawsuit brought by the family of Leon Klinghoffer, the wheelchair bound elderly tourist who was shot and tossed overboard from the hijacked Achille Lauro cruise ship by Palestinian terrorists in 1986.
Prior to the start of the second Gulf War Clark was retained by the state of Iraq, serving as legal counsel for the Hussein regime.
Clark is affiliated with VoteToImpeach, an organization advocating the impeachment of President George W. Bush. He has been an opponent of both Gulf Wars.
It is also widely claimed that his association with Lyndon LaRouche in the early 1990s went beyond legal counsel to advocacy.
He is the founder of the International Action Center, which has much overlapping membership with the Workers' World Party, a Communist organization.
Clark and the International Action Center helped found the anti-war group A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) a major organizer of the large anti-war rallies that preceded the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
During protests organized by A.N.S.W.E.R. criticizing the Bush administration, speakers were forbidden to criticize his client, Saddam Hussein.
So there, you have it. Ramsey Clark: Far-leftist America-hater, and the mass murderer's best friend.
Thank you Rocco.

Israel aid missions return, "unneeded," from Sri Lanka and Thailand
Israeli aid teams returned Wednesday from brief visits to Thailand and Sri Lanka after local authorities said that their assistance was not required.
Israel's army on Tuesday canceled plans to send a 150-member team to aid in recovery efforts in Sri Lanka due to opposition from the Asian country, Israeli officials said.
Israel's army planned to send medical staff to set up field hospitals, including internal medicine and pediatric clinics, the army spokesman said.
This action by the Thailand and Sri Lanka authorities caused the Vatican to issue a condemnation of Israel for failing to provide emergency assistance, calling for "a radical and dramatic change of perspective" among people "too often preoccupied with making war."

The Year of the Boob
No, I am not talking about John Kerry.
The Wolf Files explains that 2004 was the Year of the Boob — from Britney Spears' quickie Vegas wedding, to Janet Jackson's now-legendary Super Bowl striptease, to the owners of the $28,000 grilled cheese sandwich, boobs were everywhere in 2004.

This is not funny
A man angry that he got no presents for Christmas burned down his parents' house early the next morning, police said.
"He was irritated that his family gave him no presents for Christmas," Lower Southampton police officer Peter Liese said.
Steven Murray, 21, was charged with arson and risking a catastrophe in the blaze that broke out early Sunday. No one was injured.
Jeepers. Maybe I should send him Mr. Limpy.

A former terrorist speaks
Walid Shoebat is an alias.
[H]e was a terrorist, Shoebat said. He and friends tried to lynch an Israeli soldier. Once he was recruited to carry a bomb to destroy a Jewish bank and should have died when it exploded. His life was spared because he disobeyed his instructions, Shoebat said, explaining that he had seen Palestinian children playing in front of the institution and didn't want to harm them. Instead of putting the bomb in a wastebasket at the bank's entrance, as he had been ordered, he put it on the roof.
"It exploded at 6 p.m. exactly," Shoebat said, explaining that he had been told not to part with the bomb until that time.
As a college student in Chicago, he surreptitiously raised funds for the Palestinian Liberation Organization.
Shoebat was born of a palestinian father and an American, Christian mother. He moved to America and he is now an evangelical Christian. He was interviewed by the St. Petersburg, Florida Neighborhood Times before speaking at a Jewish synagogue in St. Petersburg.

No Ordinary Soldier
With 11 paratroopers under her command, Army Airborne Capt. Kellie McCoy coolly directed fire and cranked out rounds from her M-4 carbine to take out two of the enemy in breaking a well-planned ambush of her convoy.
McCoy's courage and leadership near the rebel stronghold of Fallujah on Sept. 18, 2003, earned her the Bronze Star with combat "V" for valor.
"Capt. McCoy willingly and repeatedly took action to gather up her soldiers under enemy fire and direct fire at the enemy," the medal citation said. "Her actions inspired her men to accomplish the mission and saved the lives of her fellow soldiers."

Secret Santa
My most memorable gift this year came anonymously, but, I am pretty sure who sent it. Two clues - the postmark and the accompanying note.
Perhaps this will give you some comfort and bring back a few memories.
Yup. It's Mr. Limpy, something every woman can do without. The one I got was pink, which if memory serves, is a certain someone's favorite color.
That was pretty funny, but I think the real joke is on my Secret Santa this year. And I think Santa knows it.

Our friends... the Saudis
The latest Breaking News from our friends the Saudis is that the Iraq War is not for oil after all. Nope. Not at all.
"Secret European military intelligence reports indicate the transformation of the American humanitarian mission in Iraq into a profitable trade in the American markets through the practice of American physicians extracting human organs from the dead and wounded, before they are put to death, for sale to medical centers in America. A secret team of American physicians follow the troops during their attacks on Iraqi armed men to ensure quick [medical] operations for extracting some organs and transferring them to private operations rooms before they are transferred to America for sale.
NO BLOOD FOR OIL ORGANS!!!
"The reports confirm the finding of tens of mutilated cadavers or cadavers missing parts. Some were found without a head."
Of course, there no reason to assume that the terrorists had chopped off any heads but surely this can't mean that those evil Americans are stealing Iraqi heads to transplant onto evil American bodies???
[The reports] further indicate that American medical teams have [made] active and suspicious moves in Iraq to recruit some Iraqis to guide them to dead and critically injured individuals to engage in the extraction of organs. These teams offer $40 for every usable kidney and $25 for an eye.
Heads? Kidneys? Eyes?
The reports indicate that the cadavers are immunized inside special cars to prevent the spread of the plague until the bodies are buried by their relatives.
Plague? Did you say plague? Yeah they did say plague, but only once.
Well. Even without the threat of plague, this news is very disturbing and I will certainly write some letters to the state department demanding that this practice be stopped immediately. Why? Well, think about it!
If you start with an American body and add Iraqi body parts, what would the end product be, American or Iraqi? This is a very important question. If you end up with an American, well, that would be one thing but what if that makes them Iraqi? And, if most Iraqis are muslim, and certainly all of the Iraqis who are fighting the evil Americans are muslims, what would that make them? American or muslim? Because, if it makes them muslim, then we, as Americans will have to persecute and oppress them.
I guess if they used the entire muslim head on an American body we would know just by looking at them and we could persecute and oppress them accordingly. But, consider this: if the head of a muslim finds itself on an American body, is the head required to kill the body because its an infidel? That would be suicide and suicide is against the law. So then we would be creating criminals and that's not good.
And another thing... what if its only a kidney, or an eye and the rest of the body is, technically, American? Do we still persecute and oppress them? Do we punish the whole because of the parts? And what if its a heart? If its a muslim heart it would be muslim for sure but how would we know there's a muslim heart, or kidneys, or eyes, in that American body? If there is muslim in there, then we, as Americans, will have to persecute and oppress them but how will we know?
This entire idea is confusing. And another thing... if all this is true, can it be believed that this is an evil American plot and not an evil muslim plot to take over America from within? Think about it!!!!
This should raise serious concerns in the heart of every American, provided, of course, that you still have an American heart.

Kerry Kissmas
If you haven't been following John Kerry closely, get ready to hear of surprising developments. The vote-defrauded, potential president-in-waiting has just indicated through his lawyer that the validity of George Bush's reelection is no longer a given.
Woo hoo and whoopie do! The author of this ridiculous bit of journalism covers his ass with a subheading that states: "Election Challenge likely on Jan 6th" but the frenzy over at DUmmie Land has begun:
"Now THAT'S what I want for Christmas! BTW - a very, very lovely pool shot. Mmm...Mama Teresa has got her one FINE man there!" -RevCheesehead
and
"Isn't she the luckiest? Dang it!!! Kerry divorce Theresa for me!! Just kidding! Theresa's a great woman, just very fortunate, that's all!" and "That's a mighty fine piece of art work God did there on that man!" -TexasChick
gak! I don't think you have enough money TexasChick but thanks for sharing.
This bit of breaking news has whipped the DUmmies into a frenzy both sexual and demented, complete with "Kerry Kissmas" fantasies. They are literally foaming at the mouth again as "Kerry Prepares the Grounds to Unconcede" on Monday, when all their dreams will come true.
Now that's entertainment!

The South Florida Firefighters Calendar is the product of inspiration of City of Hialeah Fire Rescue Lieutenant Luis Espinosa. In 1992, Lt. Espinosa approached the UM/JM Burn Center with the idea of producing a calendar that would allow the firefighters, as civil servants, to benefit charitable organizations in their community. The Burn Center was a natural choice, since no one knows better the long-lasting effects brought about by burn trauma.
In 1993, Lt. Espinosa's hope became a reality and the first annual South Florida Firefighters Calendar hit the streets. It was a wild success, and sales have exceeded all expectations.
To date, it has raised thousands of dollars to benefit not only the "Here's Help" charity and the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, but also Habitat for Humanity's Hurricane Andrew Fund and Ronald McDonald Children's Charities. Proceeds from the sale of the year 2004 calendars will benefit the "Here's Help" and Neighbors 4 Neighbors.

Mosul Attack Update
Dec. 22, 2004 — New evidence shows the bombing of a U.S. military mess tent in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Tuesday — which killed 22 people and wounded 70 others — was a suicide terrorist attack, ABC News has learned.
Investigators at the base have found remnants of a torso and a explosive vest that was probably a backpack. According to his trainers, the murderer was a 24-year-old man from Mosul who worked at the base for two months and had provided information about the base to the group.
I have heard from Jamie and he is okay. He was inside the mess at the time of the bombing, but he was not hurt in the blast, at least, not physically. The scars from this attack will be in the hearts and minds of all our soldiers, veterans, and their families.
The man responsible for this attack has been working at the base for a few months. In addition to the shock and grief, some of our soldiers must now reconcile that they gave their friendship and trust to the man responsible for this terrorist attack.
How many good Iraqis will now be looked upon with suspicion? Once again, Islam proves to be its own worst enemy, as well as the enemy of all civilized people everywhere.
Please pray for our soldiers and their families.

Attack in Mosul
Please... a few prayers if you would, for the safety and well being of our soldiers stationed in Mosul.
The dining hall at Forward Operating Base Marez was hit with multiple rounds, at 12:00, during lunchtime. The last report says 24 are dead, over 50 are wounded.
My friend Jamie is stationed there with the 276th Engineer Battalion. Some of you have written him and I have posted his picture here, remember, with the Sopranos?. The 276th has lost two men. I have not heard from Jamie and I am very concerned.
I would appreciate any information you hear on this.

They report, we decide
The public opinion of the main stream media?
NEW YORK Once again, newspaper reporters score poorly in the annual Gallup Poll, released today, on "honesty and ethical standards" in various professions, as judged by the American public. They rank even lower than bankers, auto mechanics, elected officials, and nursing-home operators.
To put this in perspective: Newspaper reporters are even less respected than their TV counterparts.
Somehow, however, they top lawyers, car salesmen, and ad directors. And they also edge business executives and congressmen.
The article doesn't name names, too bad. But to be generally considered less honest and ethical than the likes of Dan Rather, is sinking pretty low.

The Odd Fellow
His name is Herbert Charles Angelo Kuchacevich ze Schluderpacheru, but he is now known as Herbert Lom. He's an actor. From Britian. (Pink Panther fans will remember him as Inspector Dreyfus.) Mr. Lom had this to say to the Independent:
"I have spent my life learning other people's lines," he says. "Now I want to say some of my own." He then reads the following from his own scrawled notes. "We are constantly told that our prime minister is a charlatan, a liar, a cheat, a poodle. Not once but 15 times a day. I have lived in Czechoslovakia, France and England and I have never known anything like it." He looks up from his note pad. "You know," he adds, "I am as scared of Clare Short as I am of Saddam Hussein. She can bring this Government down, I think. As a woman I find her very attractive, but she is a pain in the arse. Tony Blair is a brilliant and brave prime minister. It must distress him that chopping off heads, which has become fashionable among those villains in the desert, is not considered as wicked as failing to find the so-called weapons of mass destruction."
Indeed. And how Mr. Lom speaks of Clare Short is just how I felt about John Kerry, well, except for the attractive part.
I found this over at Roger L. Simon's blog, along with some very interesting comments by someone named Kevin. Worth a click if you have the time.

Christmas Shopping Made Easy
Having a hard time finding the perfect Christmas Winter Holiday Gift for those on the left side of your list? May I suggest you do your shopping at the Neiman Marxist Holiday Outlet for these unique PC gifts:
Progressive Hero Trading Cards -
Show your solidarity with the most beloved progressives of the past century. Set includes such liberal icons as Ronald Everett (the convicted felon who invented Kwanza and burned a woman's mouth with a hot soldering iron), Ira Einhorn (the convicted felon who created Earth Day just before murdering his girlfriend and fleeing to Europe), and Yasser Arafat (the father of modern Islamic terrorism). Each pack of cards comes with one stick of organic chewing gum. $7.99/pack.
How about this little stocking stuffer:
The Complete Guide to Moderate Muslim Leaders -
Put the haters on the right in their place with your knowledge of moderate Muslim leaders. This comprehensive book is a "Who's Who" of modern Imams and prominent Muslim leaders who don't endorse the destruction of Israel, the murder of civilians, Palestinian suicide bombings, the decapitations in Iraq, or the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Conveniently fits into your shirt pocket (since it's the size of a postage stamp). Published by Simon and Sheuster. 3 pages. $24.95 (Optional thimble carrying case: $3.00)
This one is endorsed by the ACLU as "Toy of the Year."
Fondle Me Elmo -
Here's the perfect gift for that pedophile at your local chapter of Progressives United. Fondle Me Elmo is an anatomically correct doll who giggles with delight when you do what most NAMBLA members only WISH they could do (but would be arrested by the evil John Ashcroft if they did). $17.99 (batteries not included).
and... something for the kids:
The Equalizer Leg Brace -
Do you have a son or daughter who excels in sports? Have your calls for them to "be more equal" fallen on deaf ears? Now you can show them the true meaning of "equality" with the Equalizer. The leg brace attaches in minutes (and stays on permanently with Eternal-Bond glue). Now little Chloe or Zoe will know the humiliation they've caused their peers as they'll never win another game. After they've learned their lesson, simply take them to the nearest Emergency Room to have the brace surgically removed. Warning: May cause permanent circulation damage or stunt bone growth. $299.99.
my favorite:
DVD: "9/11 Bloopers, Flubs, and Practical Jokes" -
Laugh yourself silly at this hilarious collection of mishaps and bloopers surrounding the events of 9/11. Hosted by terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden, this 2-hour DVD makes fun of the attacks better than Michael Moore could ever do! $19.99.
Plenty more where those came from.

Why Gay Marriage??
Phoenix Coyotes star Brett Hull turned up on the "Weekend Update" segment of "Saturday Night Live" and was asked, as a Canadian, what he thought about the recent landmark ruling by Canada's Supreme Court that gay marriage was constitutional.
"That's what happens in Canada when there's no hockey," Hull said. "Guys have more time to hang out, talk about their feelings, next thing you know they're in love with each other."
"I've got nothing against it, but I'd rather be playing hockey."

Rough Men
Something new from Russ Vaughn:
"Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. -George Orwell
With a nod to the Mudville Gazette for the quote
Rough Men
There’s a character trait that’s decided by fate
Comes “sadly” to many, far too faint, far too late.
They won’t face the aggressor, stand up to his ire
They have not the will to fight his fire with fire.
So they bend over backwards to see all sides as fair,
Till they’re faced with dragon breath fire in their hair.
Like our brethren in France, who’d know better than we,
Yet seem never to learn, seem doomed never to see.
Yes, it seems there are some who’re determined by fate,
To possess not the courage to step up to the plate,
Who shrink from all threat because nothing’s worth war.
But how can they know lest they’ve been there before?
Thank God some have courage, the will, yes, the grace,
To stand for the shirkers, stand strong in their place.
Thank God we have stalwarts who’ll stand for us all,
Who will rise to the challenge at their nation’s call. The faint-hearted, who fear, whose reaction is flight,
Have no comprehension of those who will fight.
To hide their own trepidation they attempt to demean
The rough men, who defend them, as barbaric, obscene.
Yet these rough men stand ready, hard weapons to hand,
To put placaters behind them, draw a line in the sand,
To preserve for the peaceniks what they won’t defend,
So their own unearned freedom won’t perish, won’t end.To appeasers, rough men are coarse government tools.
To rough men, appeasers are dumb delusional fools.

And hurry up, tomorrow is the last day.
Dear Troops:
I am sure to be so far from home under such circumstances may make this Holiday season a little less than wonderful.
I would like to thank you for your service to the United States of America and for protecting my freedom.
I am simply in awe of the magnitude of what our Military has accomplished in the Middle East. I am proud of the United States and its actions to put an end to the brutality, terror and barbaric acts the Iraqi people have suffered for so long and to finally put an end to terrorism.
America is standing up for you and your efforts. We are thankful and grateful for the sacrifices that our troops and their families make to protect and preserve our way of life.
I can never thank you enough for all you do to protect the United States and my personal freedom. You are truly the best that America has and each of you are truly my hero!
I thought it might be nice to share a funny story about me and my dog that will hopefully put a smile on your face and perhaps even make you laugh. Every word is true, and it happened a little while ago.
My dog is a Chow Chow, his name is MuShu and he is three years old. I call him the Moosh:

Cute ain't he? Okay...
It's early morning and I let the pooch out into the yard to do his business. I go back in the house for a cup of coffee. Just as I pick up the pot, MuShu starts this frenzied barking. So I drop the pot and go running out and what do I discover? I discover my boy in battle with a land crab. Have you ever seen one? They are blue, huge (this one was as tall as my knees), with these horrible giant claws and they run sideways, fast as lightening. This is a blue land crab:

Eeeewwww!!! As you can see, they are the stuff nightmares are made of. What it was doing in my fenced-in yard, I'll never know.
So anyway, Mr. Crab is running all over the yard and MuShu is chasing him and practically howling. I'm chasing MuShu (and practically howling too). I was terrified that the crab would get MuShu's nose or tongue, or even his eyes, those claws are really sharp.
Mr. Crab is faster than MuShu and MuShu is faster than me. I can't catch the dog and we are going back and forth all over the yard. MuShu is barking and I'm screaming and all of sudden, Mr. Crab goes left with MuShu in pursuit and me in pursuit of MuShu. And I realize I left the back door open just as Mr. Crab runs into my house!
So the chase is still on, through the house and into the living room. I finally get hold of MuShu who is still barking and struggling in my arms but I run and throw him into the bathroom and shut the door. I'm out of breath, covered in sweat and completely traumatized. I still haven't had any coffee and I'm ready to collapse.
But, as you know, there is no rest for the wicked, and I have to go back after the crab. So I grab a broom and a laundry basket and I go right back at it, except... Guess what? Now I can't find Mr. Crab. So I'm pulling out couches and tables and looking behind things, my heart is pounding and I'm actually whimpering and I still can't find him!
Then... I hear this tick tick tick noise, turn around and spot Mr. Crab making a mad dash down the hall, heading for my bedroom. As you know, crabs in the bedroom are a bad thing (or so I've heard).
So, broom in hand, I charge down the hall after the crab but like I said, they are fast as hell. Just before he gets to the bedroom I hit him a solid blow with the corner of the broom, so solid in fact that Mr. Crab pretty much exploded, covering the walls and the ceiling of my hallway with crab guts.
Oh yeah, and covering me with crab guts too.
Just in time to go to work.
Yup. Such is life in Linda Land.
Please know that you are in the hearts and prayers of many people this day, and every day.
May G-d Bless you and keep you in the safety of his love.

Osama Bin-Arias
What happens when you don an Osama mask, grab your pellet gun, and go out to terrorize the taxi drivers of Costa Rica?
Leonel Arias, 47, told police he was playing a practical joke by donning the Bin Laden mask, toting his pellet rifle and jumping out to scare drivers on a narrow street in his hometown, Carrizal de Alajuela, about 20 miles north of San Jose.
Arias had startled several drivers that way on Monday afternoon. But when he jumped out in front of taxi driver Juan Pablo Sandoval, the motorist reached for a gun and shot him twice in the stomach. He was hospitalized in stable condition.
Twice in the stomach and not in the head means that Arias is still in the gene pool. Too bad.

Q & A with the Emperor
Believe it or not, three years after 9/11, there are those who still have some questions.
Questions like: "Can we fight terrorism constructively?"
Questions like: "Who was actually being attacked on that terrible day?"
Questions like: "... three long years later -- many Americans still refuse to even dignify the attack by asking, "Why did they do it?"
Questions like: "Could we more effectively fight terrorism by understanding what motivates it and then taking away the source of the anger?"
The Emperor has the answers. Take the Path to Enlightenment.

Leaning Right...
This just in from Gallup
In Gallup's latest poll this month, those identifying themselves as Republicans jumped to 37% of the public, with Democrats now clearly trailing with 32%.
Well golly! Surprise surprise.
Democrats have long held more party members than Republicans. During the Clinton years, the bulge was about 5% to 6%. As recently as late-October of this year the Democratic edge was 37% to 34%.
Hmph. Clinton bulge? Freudian slip? Who writes this stuff?
Post-election shifts in partisanship after presidential elections or midterm congressional elections are not routine, but are also not uncommon.
Huh? Not routine but not uncommon? Oh well, I imagine that Mr. Taranto over at Best of the Web would have a field day with that one but I'll just move right along...
According to the Independent Student Newspaper at the University of Illinois, Conservatism is on the rise in young voters:
The mass influx of liberal votes from college campuses has become a myth, said Carrie Donovan, the youth director for the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE).
"I think a lot of people still assume that college students are very liberal based on how young people used to be," Donovan said. "It's definitely not like that; the difference is only maybe five percentage points, not 30."
Take that P. Diddy.

Another Country Heard From
This just in from Turkey: Turkish leader warns of terror wave if EU rejects membership:
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish Prime Minister, has told European Union leaders that they will pay a heavy price in continued and escalating violence from Islamic extremists if the EU rejects Turkey as a member and confirms itself as a Christian club.
Claiming to be "a country that has brought together Islam and democracy," the Turkish Prime Minister made references to "terrorism by such groups as al-Qaeda — whose local affiliates hit Turkey last year, bombing the British consulate and three other targets in Istanbul."
Essentially, this Islamic democracy wants into the civilized world (if that's what you want to call the EU) and if it is denied what it wants, it will blow up said civilized world, bit by bit.
"We are Muslim, we are Turkish, we are democratic and our country is secular. Nothing else need be said." -Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan
Erdogan claims be a "conservative democrat" but his background proves he is but another Islamic firebrand. Nothing else need be said.
That is the very clear and present danger and it is all around us today. -Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan
There are no "islamic extremists" unless you don't give the so-called moderate islamists what they want. Then, they come out of the woodwork to blow you to bits in the next wave of terror. Yup. That is the very clear and present danger and it is all around us.
Prediction: Europe will be Islamic in another generation.

About that oil...
Your attention! Your attention please!
Sabotage has failed to hurt Iraq's oil exports, Iraqi Oil Minister Thamer Abbas Ghadbane said Saturday, though he acknowledged that attacks had hurt oil distribution to domestic markets.
Key word: exports. Repeat: Sabatoge has failed to hurt Iraq's oil exports.
"These operations have not significantly affected exports," the minister said at a press conference in Baghdad, without saying how badly the domestic market had been hit.
Repeat: Sabatoge has failed to hurt Iraq's oil exports but sabatoge has hurt the domestic market.

Voting with your feet
For years Holland was celebrated as a symbol of racial tolerance. But two high-profile murders have changed all that.
The illusion that all was well in the Netherlands died in May 2002 when Pim Fortuyn, the shaven-headed, gay populist, was shot by a Left-wing activist in the country's first political assassination since 1584.
Theo van Gogh, his friend and disciple, was next.
"This was our 9/11. It was the moment the Netherlands lost its naivety. We always thought that we were the country of multicultural tolerance that could do no wrong," said Prof Han Entzinger of Rotterdam University.
Frans Buysse, the head of Buysse Immigration Consultancy, said he received more than 13,000 hits on his emigration website in November, four times the usual level. His office in Culemburg is flooded with fresh applications.
"Van Gogh's death was a confirmation for them of what they already sensed was happening," he said. "They're accountants, teachers, nurses, businessmen and bricklayers, from all walks of life. They see things going on every day in this country that are quite unbelievable. They see no clear message from the government, and they are afraid it's becoming irreversible, that's why they are leaving."
Ellen, 43, a lawyer and banker who votes for the free-market Liberals, said the code of behaviour regulating daily life in the Netherlands was breaking down.
"People no longer know what to expect from each other. There are so many rules, but nobody sticks to them. They just do as they want. They just execute people on the streets, it's shocking when you see this for the first time," she said. "We've become so tolerant that everybody thinks they can fight their own wars here. Van Gogh is killed, and then people throw bombs at mosques and churches. It's escalating because the police and the state aren't doing anything about it.
Rob Platje, 34, a sales agent in Arnhem, is leaving in February to live in the Canadian Rockies with his partner and infant son.
"What I see here in the Netherlands is that people are becoming more frightened. A lot of things have been going on over the last two years. They don't know if they can trust their neighbours.
"We hid the problem for a long time because we didn't want to face up to the truth of what was happening," he said.
And so, the Dutch middle classes are leaving the country in droves for the first time in living memory. The new wave of educated migrants are quietly voting with their feet against a multicultural experiment long touted as a model for the world, but increasingly a warning of how good intentions can go wrong.

Defending Gush Katif
Arab terrorists fired more than eight mortars during the 20-minute bombardment Friday afternoon, seriously injuring a child in Neve Dekalim, the largest Jewish town in Gush Katif. "He was lying in bed when the shell hit," the boys's fathers said. "He was injured from the fragments, one of which apparently struck his lungs."
The father decried the lack of IDF response to the constant barrage of mortar shells. "Jewish children are being abandoned because the army is afraid to act," he said.
But the army did act, it posted soldiers outside of the community and it made a very strong statement concerning the attack:
"We will not accept this massive shelling, just as we do not accept the firing of Kassam rockets near Sderot," army sources said Saturday.
Surely, after such a strong response, Israel's partners in peace will immediately cease firing those rockets. Sure they will, and pigs will fly, hell will freeze over, the grass will grow blue and the sky will turn green.

They can't be serious...
But I fear they are.
Millions of folded paper cranes fluttered down from warplanes in the skies over southern Thailand Sunday as the air force completed a mission of peace aimed at expressing the nation's hope for an end to separatist violence in the Muslim-dominated region.
Aw. Now isn't that special?
How could anyone take such a thing seriously? Yet, somewhere in the land of Oz.. er... I mean, somewhere in DUmmie Land, they do believe...
"Now that's a bomb that I'd like to use in Iraq, Afghanistan, everywhere including the Red states here." -Xultar
"Would that our government do something to promote peace instead of bombing the shit out of countries unable to defend themselves. Other countries are putting us to shame. Of course, we brought it on ourselves." -Ilmart
Yes, shame on the United States for not dropping paper cranes all over the world.
Imagine... "Achmed.. Achmed, wait! While I was out in the back dulling the beheading knife on the Allah rock, a pretty little paper crane floated down on my head. I am now overwhelmed with peaceful feelings of warmth and kindness towards my fellow man. I think we should let the infidel keep his head and make peace with our neighbors. Achmed... why are you pointing that gun at me? Achmed wait... touch the crane, please touch the crane and feel the love... Achmed... Achmed... nooooooo...."
Can you feel the love yet? No? Well, maybe this quote will help you understand the appropriate reaction:
"This photo actually brought tears to my eyes." -montana_hazeleyes
Jeepers. Who'da thunk it? A few paper cranes = world peace. Thank goodness there is a majority minority of progressive leftist thinkers.
But wait. There's more:
"That made me smile. And also remember that the world is filled with people like this. (Even in this country!!) Look at all of us, right?" -rockedthevoteinMA
Yeah. The world is looking at them all right, sure they are. Um... kumbaya and all that, sure, but I think they missed a very small, yet, important part of the story:
The gesture, however, failed to damp the unrest, with police saying they defused a 22-pound bomb Sunday on a crowded road where many people were waiting to gather the paper birds.
Did the DUmmies have anything to say about the "freedom fighters" who tried to use this pretty, peaceful gesture as a ways and means to blow up all the pretty, peaceful people gathered to receive the pretty, peaceful paper cranes? Of course not. Too busy condemning the evil United States of America. But wait! There's more:
On Monday morning a bomb was detonated at a rest stop for patrolling soldiers. Four troops were wounded, one seriously, in Narathiwat province's Ra-ngae district.
Another bomb exploded nearby hours later, seriously injuring an assistant district chief as he parked his car. The official, Pricha Nuannuay, 38, was in the area to instruct security forces to conduct thorough searches for explosive devices, police said.
A third bomb found later in a garbage bin was defused by police.
Asked about the incidents, (Thai Prime Minister) Thaksin told reporters: "Don't worry. We will continue to fight."
Continue to fight? But what about the pretty peaceful paper cranes? The Prime Minister said they had an "enormous, positive psychological effect" toward peace.
"The Thai royal family simply rawks. They are very cool, very concerned, very involved people." -crispini <-- click
Sure, very cool, very concerned, very involved people indeed, especially when you don't mention that 1,300 protestors were carted away by Thailand police after a demonstration in that country's southern provinces and 78 of them were found suffocated in the back of an army truck on their way to a military facility.
And especially when you don't mention that Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra expressed little sympathy for the victims ("It's about bodies made weak from fasting. Nobody hurt them."). Why mention that peace loving Muslims in that region have waged an intermittent campaign for independence (war), which has Malaysia concerned as well (the area was annexed by Thailand in 1902).
And of course, there is no need to mention that Abdulraman Abdulsamad, chairman of a local Islamic council, said "I cannot say what [is] going to happen, but I believe that hell will break out."
Oh the magic of peaceful paper cranes. I am sure it will be a peaceful hell, aren't you?
Finally, we have this:
"Let's start folding.. and dump millions of them over the red states....." -VivaKerry
Good idea! Luckily for the world, 1monster provided a link for "how to" directions on the thread. Screw the environment, how about if you get started now. You could have a bunch ready by 2008 and sway the vote! Over here at the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, we want to help. We have plenty of paper made from trees that we chopped down especially for this project. In fact, entire forests have been set aside for the making of peaceful paper cranes. And dropping millions of peaceful paper cranes is not littering, it's... er... peaceful! Yeah, peaceful!
Just step right into this nice padded room, we already have your name in the little slot on the door. Making peaceful paper cranes sure beats basket weaving, don't it?
Can you say Kumbaya?

NY Time's Fantasy
Reading Fantasy Politics over at The New York Times is like a preview of "welcome to my nightmare." A nightmare featuring a 2008 inauguaration of Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America.
Could she really cast aside the baggage from years in the spotlight to become not merely the first senator since John F. Kennedy - or the first Northeasterner of any party since Mr. Kennedy - to be elected to the White House, but America's first woman president?
Think it can't happen?? Think again.
For many Democrats, certainly, she is the only personality, the only larger-than-life figure in the party with the drive, the ambition and the name recognition that might be able to lead the party out of the wilderness of political defeat.
Can she get the nomination? The Times reports:
In a Gallup poll taken in November after the election, 25 percent of respondents chose her as their preferred Democratic candidate; John Kerry came in second at 15 percent.
Welcome to my nightmare.

This just in: Santa is a Democrat!! So sayeth John Zogby - so it must be true. (heh)
A plurality of likely voters say that longtime Christmas fixture Santa Claus is a Democrat, a new Zogby International poll reveals. The same survey found voters even more sure of the political leanings of two other Christmas icons: Ebenezer Scrooge and the Grinch are likely Republicans.
Oh well. No surprise since we already knew Santa is an atheist.

See Ya!
Boo hoo. Bill Moyers is retiring from TV journalism.
Here's a quote:
"I'm going out telling the story that I think is the biggest story of our time: how the right-wing media has become a partisan propaganda arm of the Republican National Committee," says Moyers. "We have an ideological press that's interested in the election of Republicans, and a mainstream press that's interested in the bottom line. Therefore, we don't have a vigilant, independent press whose interest is the American people."
I might comment on this, if I could stop laughing long enough to do so. Maybe later.

Commie Chic at NYPL
I am so angry I could just scream. Are people so damn desperate to make a damn buck that they will flush all sense of common decency and morality right down the friggin' toilet? Are they so desperate that they will glorify a communist mass murderer? Yes, I'm talking about Che Guevara merchandise again.
This just in from Val at Babalu Blog: The New York Public Library is selling "Revolution watches" with Che Guevara's face on it, using this advertising pitch:
"Revolution is a permanent state with this clever watch, featuring the classic romantic image of Ché Guevara, around which the word "revolution" -- revolves."
WTF??? Clever? Classic and romantic?? Che Guerava??? You would think a public library might have an idea that Che Guevara is a friggin' communist mass murderer, wouldn't you? Do you want your children to consider Che Guevara a romantic hero, do you want them to dream his dream of revolution? In his own words:
Hatred as an element of the struggle; a relentless hatred of the enemy, impelling us above and beyond the natural limitations that man is heir to, and transforming him into an effective, violent, seductive and cold killing machine. - Communist Mass Murderer Che Guevara
Is admiration and hero worship for an effective, violent, seductive and cold killing machine what you want for your children and the rest of America's youth?
If not, well, then, DO SOMETHING!
Call the NYPL's Sara Abraham, director of retail marketing, at (212) 930-0591 or Paul LeClerc president & CEO, at (212) 930-0736 or email them at libraryshop@nypl.org and express some outrage at their marketing of mass murderers as romantic heros to the youth of America. Do not tolerate this in silence.
Someone has to stand up for the thousands of people murdered by Che Guevara. And someone has to stand up for your kids.

No cure for stupidity
It's true. 99.9% of liberals give the rest of them a bad name.
Get this from "Armed Liberal" at Winds of Change:
I've never been to Israel, but pretty much every one I know who has gone there says it is a nation full of bad drivers.
In 1997, Israel had 530 motor vehicle fatalities. In 2002, Israel had 525 motor vehicle fatalities.
Assuming this rate as a baseline, in the 42 years between 1961 and 2003, there would have been as many as 21,000 road deaths in Israel. (I'll stipulate that this number is doubtless pretty high)
Just as a comparison, according to the Department of State publication I cited earlier, there have been approximately 381 deaths in Israel caused by Palestinian terrorism form 1961 to 2003.
But...I doubt that a government in Israel (or the United States) would fall - would be voted out of power - because of traffic deaths. Even though each of those deaths is as wrenching to those close to the person who died.
So what's different enough about deaths from terrorism (as opposed, say, to deaths in traffic accidents) that they occupy such a central place in our political dialog? Why will we marshal the resources of a country to battle terrorism while we - largely - ignore other issues which may cause more deaths?
Only a liberal could compare dying in a traffic accident to being the victim of deliberate, cold blooded murder. Why should Charles Manson be in prison, or Son-of-Sam? Why did we go after Ted Bundy and Jeff Dalmer? According to the liberal point of view, what they did was equal to running a stop sign.
Armed liberal? If brains were gunpowder, this liberal couldn't blow his nose.

Supporting Terrorism
There is no way to justify the financial support of terrorism.
Giving $20 million in "direct aid" to terrorists is a shameful thing to do and it makes me sick to think that the United States of America has done it.
Never mind that the White House imposed restrictions on the $20 million in direct aid approved by Bush, stating that the authority will use it to pay Palestinian utility bills owed to Israeli companies.
Why not give the money directly to Israel to be applied to the past bills those deadbeat terrorists have run up while diverting other "aid" monies to purchase explosive belts to kill Jews?

Burlington Che Factory Update
Cuban Grammar school students, called "young pioneers", salute the flag every morning with the slogan "pioneers for communism, we will be like Che."
Cuba has promoted "Che" as a symbol of revolutionary virtues, sacrifice and internationalism inside and outside the country since his death. Castro called Guevara "an extraordinary human being of great intelligence and culture, with an enormous sense of solidarity."
Hatred as an element of the struggle; a relentless hatred of the enemy, impelling us above and beyond the natural limitations that man is heir to, and transforming him into an effective, violent, seductive and cold killing machine. - Communist Mass Murderer Che Guevara
This man, who ordered the execution of countless human beings while in charge of the notorious La Cabaña prison in Havana, who terrorized Cuban society and who denied freedom to thousands of citizens whom he considered "deviants" or "anti-revolutionaries" can never be accepted as a hero, martyr or -- the shock of it -- a saint. The blood of thousands of Cubans is on the hands of "Che" Guevara. Link.
This is the man whose memory is glorified by liberal activists as they scream for peace and condemn the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush.
Val over at the Babalu Blog gives us an update on the Burlington Che Factory protest.
Seems Val was interviewed by Madeline Baró Diaz, a reporter for the South Florida Sun Sentinel working on an article about the Burlington Coat Factory/Che Guevara merchandise issue. No word on if and when the article will be published.
I proudly participated in the protest held at Burlington Coat Factory store in Miami this past weekend, photos can be found here. According to Burlington, those of us who did so are "provocateurs", "fanatics", and "extremists."

Tyranny Talk
For all you leftists out there who claim that President Bush is subjecting you to tyranny and oppression, here's a news tidbit from your friend Fidel:
SANTA CLARA, Cuba, December 1 (www.cubanet.org) - Alila Sáez Romero, 23, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for being disrespectful to President Fidel Castro.
When Sáez Romero was led from the closed-door trial, he could be heard shouting, "Down with the tyranny."
He was arrested for remarks he made November 25 against Castro. Witnesses against him were four women, all members of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution or the Federation of Cuban Women.
You don't know how good you have it here in the United States of America.

Festival of Lights
Chag Samaech!
And a Good Yuntif to all!
Hanukkah celebrates a miracle after a military victory in which a small band of fighters, the Maccabee's, liberated the Land of Israel from the Syrian Greeks. After reclaiming the Holy Temple, they found there remained but one vessel of oil to light the Temple Menorah. By some small miracle, that one day's worth of oil lasted until more oil could be obtained, a total of eight nights, and so, we celebrate for eight nights.
The Macabees fought for three years to be victorious, proving that time takes time and in the end, the righteous will succeed.
We can learn from this and indeed, this is something we should remember when it comes to the War on Terror and the conflict in Iraq. The War on Terror is a war worth winning and win we shall. It won't happen overnight, it hasn't happened overnight, but it will happen.
We must all do what we can to help and that means America must support our Troops and our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush.

A New Era for Afghanistan
Let Freedom Reign:
Hamid Karzai has been sworn in as Afghanistan's first popularly elected president. From President Karzai's Inauguration Speech:
"We have now left a hard and dark past behind us and today we are opening a new chapter in our history."
"Today whatever we have achieved -- the peace ... the reconstruction ... the fact that Afghanistan is again a respected member of the international community -- is because of the help that the United States of America gave us.
Without that help, Afghanistan would be in the hands of terrorists, destroyed, poverty stricken and without it's children going to school or getting an education." Hamid Karzai, Afghanistan's first popularly elected President
Hard to put a negative on that one although our ever diligent and anti-American media managed to do so. I choose not to link to that negativity today, so find it yourself if you really want it.
"The tyranny has gone, the terrorist enemy is scattered and the people of Afghanistan are free." -- U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney
Freedom! Brought to you, courtesy of the Red, White and Blue! Thank you Troops for all your efforts and sacrifices given freely to the people of Afghanistan to make this day possible.

Harry Chapin
Feeling melancholy and I am reminded that today is Harry Chapin's birthday. From Taxi, there are some words that sadly remind me of someone once very special to me, someone now lost to me. Love is like that, and Harry knew it better than most.
Oh, I've got something inside me,
To drive a princess blind.
There's a wild man, wizard,
He's hiding in me, illuminating my mind.
Oh, I've got something inside me,
Not what my life's about,
Cause I've been letting my outside tide me,
Over 'till my time, runs out.
If by chance that certain someone saw those words here, would he see what I see, recognize what I recognize, know what I know? Maybe, and even if... there would come the denial, there will ever be denial. No eyes within and never inside out again.
Still, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I hope the dreams you dream are as rich and full and satisfying as only dreams can be.
I hope they tide you over, until time runs out.

Nine to Five in Afghanistan
Hmmm... let's say your job is to caption news photos. I think that would be a great job, you get to see all the pictures and label them for the people, giving a perspective on the news via the image they see.
The problem: You work for the AP and/or Reuters. The job becomes more difficult because now you have to put a negative spin on the United States of America, Freedom, Democracy, the ousting of tyranny and oppression.
So. that means you take a most excellent picture, like the one below, and spin it into something negative. It must be in subtle and delicate way, so that the viewer comes away feeling sadness and grief at the powers that caused the scene. Seems impossible doesn't it?
Still, the captioner for this photo found a way to trash everything that the Coalition has accomplished in Afghanistan with two words: Traffic and Pollution.

Abdul Saboor, 37, an Afghan traffic police officer, regulates the vehicles circulation at the rushed hours in downtown Kabul, Afghanistan, Thursday Dec. 2, 2004. For 12 years Saboor does his duty as a traffic police officer in Kabul where he has experienced a few regimes in the past as like, Najibullah's regime, Mujahedeen's and Taliban's regimes too. But he says "In the past regimes there wasn't so traffic jam as it is now." Since the ousting of the Taliban over two years ago, the number of vehicles on Kabul roads increased to 350,000 in a city designed for 40,000 vehicles resulting in traffic chaos and air pollution.
Now, I hate rush hour traffic as much as the next person but the increase of vehicular traffic means prosperity is on the rise in Afghanistan, all those people driving those cars couldn't have one two years ago. All those people driving those cars have somewhere to go, work, shopping, etc. They have money to spend in order to get there. They are no longer hiding in their homes, hoping no one will show up to measure their beards today.
The bottom line is that enduring a traffic jam is certainly preferable to mass executions and public stonings.
But, what do I know? Oh the evils of democracy and freedom.

What do you know about Vietnam?
John Kerry brought Vietnam back into the Nation's eye this year, when he "reported for duty" based on his veteran status from the Vietnam War. Much ado was made by the left about the "battles" he fought and the "medals" he earned in Vietnam. John Kerry ran for president of the United States based upon his "hero" status, status he stole from the multitude of POWs whose lives he endangered, and the Veterans he denounced, abused and degraded in his climb to personal glory.
Kerry "reported for duty" in July of 2004, and four months later, he was sent back into obscurity, rejected by 61 million Americans. Ironically, his infamous four months of duty so long ago equals the duration of his infamous run for the White House.
In stark contrast to Kerry's self-glorification of his service in Vietnam is his own vilification of the Veterans who served with him. John Kerry shaped public opinion of the Vietnam War to his liking, without basis in fact, through his lies and his repeating of the lies of others, solicited by him in a naked grab for glory. He failed.
During the months before the election, I received many articles concerning the Vietnam War, what happened before, during and after, some written by veterans, others not. Opinion pieces, personal stories, poetry, humor, tirades, I read everything I received, and in fact, wrote a few myself.
At one point during those hectic months before the election, I received an article about the Vietnam War, written by K. G. Sears, Ph.D. I hesitated to share it at that time for one reason, and one reason alone, I did not want it to be looked at as just another anti-Kerry article by a Vietnam Veteran, because that is exactly what it is not.
This article, titled "Vietnam: Looking Back - At the Facts" by K. G. Sears, Ph.D. shatters the myths concerning the politics of the Vietnam War, and the duty and honor shown by the Veterans who fought the Vietnam War. What you think you know about Vietnam is wrong.

The Fighting Fusileers
"I support the troops."
What do those words mean to you?
Read what Dean has to say, he says it best.
Then do the right thing.

Hate TV
This just in from Paris: Standing true to its commitment to give terrorists whatever they want, the French have allowed Hezbollah’s “al-Manar” television station, to air in France.
A few days after its debut, we get this:
One of its commentators has stirred uproar after he accused Israel of "repeated attempts in the past several years to spread AIDS throughout the Arab world."
The commentator, who was defined as an expert on the "Zionist entity", described at length how Israel has been trying to spread dangerous diseases, including AIDS, in the Arab world.
So. The "the French regulator" who said yes to Hezbollah now wants to say no to Hezbollah:
"It must be taken off the air. Its broadcasts are filled with hatred, violence and racism." - Dominique Bodis, President of the regulatory authority
Oh duh Dominique. Like you didn't know what they were before you let them in. Aliyah, Jews of France, Aliyah!

Speaking of the Intellectual Elite
Michael Moore was on the Tonight Show. The event is noteworthy for several reasons. First, the rumor is that not only to Mikey appear to have recently bathed, but he was clean shaven and, wonder of wonders, he was wearing a suit.
But wait! There's more! Michael Moore imparted the following pearls of wisdom:
Asked why Democratic hopes went up in smoke on Election Day, Moore said simply, "I think Bush got more votes."
"The Republicans - I'll give them this - they had a story to tell," the Bush-bashing filmmaker conceded. "The Democrats, oftentimes, aren't very good at telling a story."
Moore explained: "And the [Bush] story was: Out of the ashes of September 11 rose one man. And he stood on the rubble of lower Manhattan with a bullhorn and he said, 'I will protect you.'
"And he did," Moore added, as the audience began to applaud. "And we were never attacked again."
Amazingly coherent for Michael.

The Intellectual Elite
Over at Dissecting Leftism John Ray makes the observation:
The Leftist idea of themselves as an elite can get pretty amusing. Take this sentence from the top Leftist blog:
"The conservative bigotted position is untennable. It has no basis in fact or reason. Arguments against gay marriage are predicated entirely, 100 percent, on emotion. And the vehicle for those emotional appeals are the word "marriage". A mere semantic."
If the writer of that is a truly elite person, how come he has the English language skills of a dribbling idiot? "Bigoted" has one t. "Untenable" has one n. And the singular subject "vehicle" should be followed by the singular verb "is". And what he means by calling marriage "A mere semantic". I have no idea at all. And Leftists lap up such illiteracy at the rate of hundreds of thousands of hits every day! His wisdom must be profound. Too profound for me, certainly. If I were as prone to spelling and grammar mistakes as Kos is, I would at least use a spellchecker and grammar checker. But to do that I guess you have to be humble enough to admit your limitations. And humble is just what Leftists are not.
Now now John Ray! Don't you realize that it's not his fault? Didn't you know that The Republican Right Wing Smear Machine zapped their spell checker? Of course we did! We can do that, you know!
Sigh. There is just nothing quite like a little wisdom from a mental midget to start the day. Thanks John Ray, you nailed that one!

Dear DUmmies
Why did Kerry lose? Well, besides the obvious facts that he is a lying political opportunist and a war criminal with no clue about what this country wants or needs?
Larry Elder has something to tell you about that, but we know you won't listen. You are too busy screaming recount and Diebold and voter fraud to face the truth. I got two words for you - Stop Whining!

Fact is that you are so filled with bitterness, hate and anarchy that there is no room for honesty or decency inside any one of you.
Thanks for the entertainment over the past few days.
