Moonbat Caption Contest

Miami can be a very scary place.

These Miami moonbats were photographed during the Anti-Inauguration Protest on January 20, 2005 on Biscayne Boulevard, in Miami, Florida. Click on the picture and get a good look at these people. Dean Lautermilch took this picture and the link takes you off-site, to Dean's photo page on the protest. As always, Dean did a most excellent job photographing the moonbats (and us ProtestWarriors too), but this picture deserves a pulitzer at least!

Don't you want to talk to them? Find out what they think about the United States of America, President Bush, the War on Terror, and what we should do to fix the world?

Post your captions or email them to me. The winner will get a wristband from I Sure Did!

Who decides the winner? Me, that's who!

Let Freedom Reign

With tears rolling down her eyes, a veiled Iraqi woman shows
off her finger stained with blue ink and a small card reading
'Elect Iraq ' after she cast her vote in a polling station in
Amman, January 30, 2005. REUTERS/Ali Jarekji

This is from Hammorabi:

Great Day!

It is the birth of freedom and democracy in Iraq!

Today we hit back in the heart of the terrorists and the tyrants!

Today is the day in which the souls of our martyrs comforted!

Today those who were killed in Iraq or wounded among our friends from the USA and other allies, who helped us to reach this day, are with us again to inscribe their names with Gold for ever!

Today we challenged the killers and terrorists and foot on them with our shoes!

As we expected the enemies of God and freedom send their mentally retarded cockroaches in some suicidal attacks.

On the top of our privileged today are those who were killed in their way for voting. Their names should be perpetuated for ever! Their names should be written in Gold in Al-Fordos Square in Baghdad!

Our thanks go to George W Bush who will enter the history as the leader of the freedom and democracy in the recent history! He and his people are our friends for ever!

God bless Iraq and America.

Indeed! and there is this:

Our voting is:
No to the terrorists!
No to the dictatorships!
No to hate and racism!
No to the fascists!
No to the Nazis!
No to the mentally retarded tyrants!
No to the ossified, narrow-minded and intolerants!

We are going to create our future by ourselves not by dictators.

We are going to say:
Yes for the freedom and democracy!
Yes for the civilized Iraq!
Yes for peace and prosperity!
Yes for coexistence!
Yes for the New Iraq!

Let them bomb and kill us. It will not deter us!
Let them send their dogs to suck our bones. We care not!
Let them bark. It will not frighten us.
Let them see how civilised to be free and democratic!
Let them die by our vote tomorrow! It is the magic bullet which will kill them!

Welcome New Iraq.
Welcome freedom and democracy.
Welcome peace and prosperity for all nations with out exception but terrorists!

The New Democratic Iraq is Born! Let Freedom Reign!

Zero Tolerance

Freedom House’s Center for Religious Freedom just released a report, resulting from a year-long study of over two hundred original documents, all disseminated, published or otherwise generated by the government of Saudi Arabia. The findings: "Saudi government propaganda examined reflects a 'totalitarian ideology of hatred that can incite to violence.'"

Now, where do you suppose the "Saudi government propaganda" was found? Why, in various mosques right here in the good old United States of America. Isn't that... special?

Various Saudi government publications gathered for this study, most of which are in Arabic, assert that it is a religious obligation for Muslims to hate Christians and Jews and warn against imitating, befriending, or helping them in any way, or taking part in their festivities and celebrations;

The documents promote contempt for the United States because it is ruled by legislated civil law rather than by totalitarian Wahhabi-style Islamic law. They condemn democracy as un-Islamic;

The documents stress that when Muslims are in the lands of the unbelievers, they must behave as if on a mission behind enemy lines.

Behind enemy lines. Jeepers, and here I thought that the message is that islam is not the enemy? Seems to me that islam knows it is the enemy of the United States of America and so do muslims.

Either they are there to acquire new knowledge and make money to be later employed in the jihad against the infidels, or they are there to proselytize the infidels until at least some convert to Islam. Any other reason for lingering among the unbelievers in their lands is illegitimate, and unless a Muslim leaves as quickly as possible, he or she is not a true Muslim and so too must be condemned.

How revealing is that? It leaves no questions unanswered about why muslims migrate to America and it leaves no questions unanswered about why they should not be welcome here.

For example, a document in the collection for the "Immigrant Muslim" bears the words "Greetings from the Cultural Attache in Washington, D.C." of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, and is published by the government of Saudi Arabia. In an authoritative religious voice, it gives detailed instructions on how to "hate" the Christian and Jew.

Why is the Cultural Attache still in Washington D.C. and not rotting in some prison? Surely distributing this propaganda qualifies as a hate crime and if it doesn't, it should.

Saudi textbooks and other publications in the collection, propagate a Nazi-like hatred for Jews, treat the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion as historical fact, and avow that the Muslim’s duty is to eliminate the state of Israel;

The report states: "While the government of Saudi Arabia claims to be ‘updating’ or reforming its textbooks and study materials within the Kingdom, its publications propagating an ideology of hatred remain plentiful in some prominent American mosques and Islamic centers, and continue to be a principal resource available to students of Islam within the United States."

We are fighting a war against terrorism. I am tired of hearing that not all muslims are terrorists, when the truth of the matter is that all terrorists are muslims. If they are using mosques here in America to incite hatred and encourage terrorism, the mosque needs to be demolished and the perpetuators need to go to jail.

We have laws here in the United States of America. Laws that state if you use your home as a warehouse for illegal drugs, you go to jail and you lose your home. We have laws that state if you use your car to transport illegal drugs, you go to jail and you lose your car.

How about a little zero tolerance here? Islam will use our laws as a way to destroy us unless we start using our laws as a way to destroy islam.

It wasn't the Jooos....

In case you were wondering just who it was that murdered the three-year old Arab girl in Yesha... we have the answer from Steven Plaut:

Oh how embarrassing. The anti-Israel crowd, the Jew baiters, and the tenured traitors were having a field day this morning. A 3 year old Palestinian girl had been killed this morning in the Gaza Strip and it looked like she was killed when Israeli troops returned fire at Palestinian terrorists firing at THEM. Now that, you might say, would mean the Palestinians are responsible for the girl's death, since they opened fire, and they must be held accountable for any collateral damage from Israel returning fire.

AH, but we know the real world does not work that way and the Jews are always to blame when they shoot back.

So here we were witnessing the anti-Semites of the world having a celebration without precedent of Israel being blamed for the 3 year old girl's death - when the truth comes out. It was even more embarrassing than when the truth came out that the PLO had killed the little boy Mohammed al-Dura and not Israeli troops!

It was revealed this afternoon that the girl was NOT killed by Israeli return fire. She was killed by a Kassam rocket. The Kassam rockets are PLO weapons fired into Jewish civilian areas, and the PLO has been continuing to fire tham at the Jews even during the current make-pretend ceasefire. Except that the one fired this morning had a structural default, and landed short, inside the Palestinian area of the Gaza Strip. It blew the girl to smithereens.

Hat tip: IsraPundit

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism." -- PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein, 1977

Protecting Human Rights??

Bravo! After condemning Cuba's human rights record every year, for the past five years, the UN has finally decided to take action.

What do you suppose that action is? Condemn them again? Nah!

The UN appointed Cuba to an elite "action panel" that will influence the work of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights.

Of course, Cuba is a perfect choice when you consider who the other two members of the action panel are. China and Zimbabwe.

Hell Yeah I Did!

Look what I found...

On November 2, 2004, this great nation stood at another crossroads in our history. Like Reagan, FDR, Lincoln, and Washington before him, George W. Bush knows the direction we must take. George W. Bush understands the effort and sacrifice we must make. George W. Bush has the vision, resolve, and unshakable optimism to ensure that we prevail.

On November 2, 2004, what did you vote for? Did you vote for Freedom? Did you vote for Liberty? Did you vote for Hope? Did you Vote For George W. Bush?

When asked these questions, there are those who say "Not Me." They wear their black Not Me wristbands to show the world that their vote went to a liar, and a traitor to this Country. They wear their wristbands to protest the re-election of George W. Bush. Some of the proceeds from the their purchase go to support Democratic Underground.

Ugly ain't it? and the proceeds for that support Democratic Undergroud.

Well, if anyone asks me if I voted for George W. Bush, I'm proud to say "Hell Yeah I Did!" Yup, that's what my red, white and blue wristband says. I got it at I Sure Did and I really enjoy telling people what it means when they ask. And they do ask.

Go get one, not just to piss off the moonbats but because part of the proceeds goes to Salute Our Heroes to help support wounded heroes by reaching out with much-needed programs that will help them succeed in their challenging new world so they may ultimately enjoy a productive and rewarding life. Their programs include development of conferences to help the wounded, building homes for the paralyzed, programs to support families visiting their wounded loved ones in military hospitals, as well as many other initiatives.

So what seems like a silly thing is also a very serious thing.

One click and you can get a wristband, support the troops and piss off a liberal. Who could ask for more?

Stupid is as Stupid Does

UPDATE: I passed the test! Yay for me!

Today is the big test. I have been studying, practicing and then studying some more, to the point where I think my head will explode if I do one more calculation.

I am ready? I am as ready as I can be, I am nervous but confident.

So, for distraction and my own amusement, I did a little looking around on the subject of stupidity and I found the Basic Laws of Human Stupidity. I thought I would share a few.

- Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.

No matter how high are one's estimates of human stupidity, one is repeatedly and recurrently startled by the fact that:

a) people whom one had once judged rational and intelligent turn out to be unashamedly stupid.

b) day after day, with unceasing monotony, one is harassed in one's activities by stupid individuals who appear suddenly and unexpectedly in the most inconvenient places and at the most improbable moments.

Can't argue with that, or with this:

- The probability that a certain person will be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

... one finds the same percentage of stupid people whether one is considering very large groups or one is dealing with very small ones. No other set of observable phenomena offers such striking proof of the powers of Nature.

I usually say that in a much simpler way - "Stupid people abound" and yes, they have an amazing way of spreading stupidity.

- Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.

So. Wish me luck!

Remembering the Wannsee Conference and the Liberation of Auschwitz

From Belsen a crate of gold teeth,
from Dachau a mountain of shoes,
from Auschwitz a skin lampshade.
Who killed the Jews?

-- William Heyden

This article is posted as part of the January 27, 2005, BlogBurst coordinated by IsraPundit, to remember the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp, sixty years ago, on January 27, 1945. A complete list of participants in the BlogBurst can be found here.

On January 20th, we marked the anniversary of the 1942 Wannsee Conference. In the course of that Conference, the Nazi hierarchy formalized the plan to annihilate the Jewish people. Understanding the horrors of Auschwitz requires that one be aware of the premeditated mass-murder that was presented at Wannsee.

Highlighting these events now has become particularly important, even as the press reports that '45% of Britons have never heard of Auschwitz' (Jerusalem Post, December 2, 2004)

The Holocaust, symbolized by Auschwitz, the worst of the death camps, occurred in the wake of consistent, systematic, unrelenting anti-Jewish propaganda campaigns. As a result, the elimination of the Jews from German society was accepted as axiomatic, leaving open only two questions: when and how.

As Germany expanded its domination and occupation of Austria, Czechoslovakia, France, the Low Countries, Yugoslavia, Poland, parts of the USSR, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Italy and others countries, the way was open for Hitler to realize his well-publicized plan of destroying the Jewish people.

After experimentation, the use of Zyklon B on unsuspecting victim was adopted by the Nazis as the means of choice, and Auschwitz was selected as the main factory of death (more accurately, one should refer to the "Auschwitz-Birkenau complex"). The green light for mass annihilation was given at the Wannsee Conference, January 20, 1942.

The Wannsee Conference formalized "the final solution" - the plan to transport Europe's Jews to eastern labour and death camps. Ever efficient and bureaucratic, the Nazi kept a record of the meeting, which were discovered in 1947 in the files of the German Foreign Office. The record represents a summary made by Adolf Eichmann at the time, even though they are sometime referred to as "minutes".

Several of the Conference participants survived the war to be convicted at Nuremberg. One notorious participant, Adolf Eichmann, was tried and convicted in Jerusalem, and executed in 1962 in Ramlah prison.

The mass gassings of Europe's took place in Auschwitz between 1942 and the end of 1944, when the Nazis retreated before the advancing Red Army. Jews were transported to Auschwitz from all over Nazi-occupied or Nazi-dominated Europe and most were slaughtered in Auschwitz upon arrival, sometimes as many as 12,000 in one day. Some victims were selected for slave labour or "medical" experimentation before they were murdered or allowed to die. All were subject to brutal treatment.

Children, victims of Nazi "medical" experiments

In all, between three and four million people, mostly Jews, but also Poles and Red Army POWs, were slaughtered in Auschwitz alone (though some authors put the number at 1.3 million). Other death camps were located at Sobibor, Chelmno, Belzec (Belzek), Majdanek and Treblinka. Adding the toll of these and other camps, as well as the mass executions and the starvation im the Ghettos, six million Jews, men, women, the elderly and children lost their lives as a consequence of the Nazi atrocities.

Auschwitz was liberated by the Red Army on 27 January 1945, sixty years ago, after most of the prisoners were forced into a Death March westwards. The Red Army found in Auschwitz about 7,600 survivors, but not all could be saved.

For a long time, the Allies were well aware of the mass murder, but deliberately refused to bomb the camp or the railways leading to it. Ironically, during the Polish uprising, the Allies had no hesitation in flying aid to Warsaw, sometimes flying right over Auschwitz.

There are troubling parallels between the systematic vilification of Jews before the Holocaust and the current vilification of the Jewish people and Israel. Suffice it to note the annual flood of anti-Israel resolutions at the UN; or the public opinion polls taken in Europe, which single out Israel as a danger to world peace; or the divestment campaigns being waged in the US against Israel; or the attempts to delegitimize Israel’s very existence. The complicity of the Allies in WW II is mirrored by the support the PLO has been receiving from Europe, China and Russia to this very day.

If remembering Auschwitz should teach us anything, it is that we must all support Israel and the Jewish people against the vilification and the complicity we are witnessing, knowing where it inevitably leads.

Exotic Dancing 101

Let's hear it for the progressive school system found in Fresno.

William Fried told eighth-graders at Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School that stripping and exotic dancing could be lucrative career moves for girls, offering as much as $250,000 or more per year, depending on their bust size.

"The truth of the matter is you can earn a tremendous amount of money as an exotic dancer, if that's your desire."

Fried spent about a minute defining strippers and exotic dancers synonymously. He told students, "For every two inches up there, you should get another $50,000 on your salary," student Jason Garcia, 14, said.

One mother was outraged when her son announced that he was forgoing college for a career in a field he truly loves - fishing - and said she found Fried's handout even more disconcerting. The handout encourages exotic dancing, stripping and acting as a spiritual medium as career choices.

"He really focused on finding what you really love to do," said Mariah Cannon, 13. Cannon also said she wouldn't want exotic dancing taken off Fried's list. Although parents might find it hard to hear, it's a legitimate career choice, she said.

If you teach them, they will learn.

Irony or Fate?

This kind of thing fascinates me:

Bay Area native Daniel Berk had planned to spend the Christmas holiday in Sri Lanka, getting his scuba certificate, but canceled his plans at the last minute. He missed the deadly tsunami, but on Saturday, he was killed in an avalanche while snowboarding off-trail in the Austrian Alps.

I suppose most people would call this ironic, and so would I. Most people would shake their heads and go on with their day. But I confess, when I see stories like this, my mind goes off into directions it has no business going.

Daniel didn't go to Sri Lanka because his girlfriend wanted to go elsewhere. If it were not for her, would Daniel have died in Sri Lanka? Maybe, maybe not. Could it be that she got in the way of fate once, and the powers that be compensated for that?

I'm not saying that the avalanche happened just to get Daniel, because he escaped the tsunami. Still, when all is said and done, the tsunami is really nothing but water and so is snow.

I don't believe in coincidence. Everything happens for a reason, I believe that, I do.

Irony or Fate?

HEROES Act

Russ Vaughn has written a most excellent article for The American Thinker, the following is an excerpt:

DON'T JUST SIT THERE by Russ Vaughn

It’s so easy to say you support the troops, regardless of which side you come down on in the issue of the War in Iraq itself. Yeah, you can send care packages and put yellow ribbon magnets on your car to make you feel all warm and fuzzy that you’re doing your own small part.

But right now, folks, we have a rare opportunity, a seldom-held power for ordinary citizens, to actually do something for the troops that will bring them more comfort than any supportive letters or boxes of cookies and candy ever possibly could. You see, right now we have the ability to provide them with comfort of mind, to lift a mental and emotional burden that they all carry with them when they enter any theater of combat. We hold in our collective hands the ability to grant them assurance that should the worst befall them, we, their grateful nation, will provide for their loved ones in a manner that will approximate what they would have provided in the normal course of their lives.

Mr. Vaughn is speaking of the Honoring Every Requirement of Exemplary Service (HEROES) Act, which Senators Lieberman and Sessions will introduce when Congress reconvenes January 24 2005, would increase the maximum life insurance coverage for servicemembers to $400,000 and increase the death gratuity paid to families of servicemembers killed in combat to $100,000.

These benefit changes would cover all servicemembers regardless of rank, and would apply retroactively to cover those lost in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

This bill must pass and you can help. Listen to Mr. Vaughn:

So you say you support the troops? Then as soon as you finish reading this, start hammering that keyboard and let your two senators and your congressman know that you expect no less than their full support for early passage of the HEROES Act. To a person, they all swear they support the troops, regardless of party affiliation or individual positions on the war. Let them know, their future electoral efforts will, in your mind, be dependent upon their actions on behalf of those troops and those families who have given that "last full measure of devotion," to their nation.

Do it people, please! Addresses for Senators and Representatives are here.

How many Liberals does it take to win a war?

How many of you Liberals does it take to win a war?
Well how the hell can we tell? You won’t fight one anymore.
You say that you support the troops, but the truth’s plain as your face,
You’d pull us from the battle, march us home in full disgrace.
You’ve no stomach for the fighting, got no mettle, got no pluck;
If you ran this war on terror, we’d be a very well plucked duck.
The wolves of Jihad smell your dread, can smell your craven breath,
And emboldened by the fear they scent, lust for our bloody death.

“But wait,” you protest piously , “We are fighters for the poor.”
Might we suggest you start to fight, before wolves come through the door?
Do you think they’ll still believe in you, your poor, your gays, your blacks,
When the wolves run wild among them, sinking fangs into their backs?
Think then that they’ll be caring, when they’re counting out their dead,
We inflict pain on a captive wolf to learn what’s in his head?
Do you really think, you bleeding hearts, when they bleed in scarlet torrents,
They’ll care we cage the savage wolves, search lairs without signed warrants?

For years we watched your “feel good” courts defang our criminal laws,
Handcuff our police, give felons rights, espouse the criminals’ cause.
Felonious wolves were freed to prey, and we suffered their wild rages
Till “thinking” men took back the courts, put the wolf packs back in cages.
With your same old clueless “feelings” you now decry this war;
And with your same old fuzzy logic, common sense you still ignore.
We must look into “root causes” and we must try to “feel their pain;”
Pardon if our eyes start rolling, at your same old lame refrain.

It’s hard to fathom whence you come, perhaps some flawed eugenics,
That begets utopian pessimists, sires optimistic cynics.
Thanks be the power to rule the land remains beyond your means;
A regime of yours, would be like, no doubt, being ruled by pimpled teens.
Your quixotic quest for a world love nest, denies some truths quite real,
Like the need to have some “thinking” folks to preserve your right to “feel.”
Abhorring blood on your own hands, there’s a hard truth you’ve ignored,
Someone else must take your plowshare, and beat it back into a sword.

So how many of you Liberals does it take to win a war?
Or is there simply nothing you believe worth fighting for?
How is it that you’ve never learned, like most when they grow older,
That appeasing badness is a bad idea, only makes the bad guys bolder.
Has your fear of spilling human blood made you Jihad’s useful fools,
Ignoring that their wolf packs never fight within the rules?
By your demand we stay our hand, you weaken and you bind us;
Forcing us to fight off wolf attacks with that hand tied behind us.

So we bend some rules, in war you fools; so what? Show some respect,
When it’s your fuzzy-headed “feelings” “thinking” men fight to protect.

CBS - Still Biased

Let's talk for a minute about media bias. CBS took the time to interview Dan, who was with us at the counter-inauguration protest today in Downtown Miami, protesting the protesters. Proof:

Click the pic to enlarge it.

Click here to see the biased news reporting on this event by CBS. You see, Dan's comments obviously did not fit into CBS' anti-America, anti-Bush agenda, so they used none of Dan's comments. They stuck with the anti-America crowd. Talk about censorship! They never learn, do they?

I have written them for an explanation, but I don't expect any will be forthcoming, after all, their actions pretty much sum up their intent. It is this kind of media bias that in the end, will shut down the likes of CBS.

I am too tired to post much more than this but here are some pictures taken by Dean Lautermilch (Dean took the photo above as well).

I took over 50 still pictures, some of them should be good. I'll get them up tomorrow with a full report. Video should be done over the weekend.

Moonbats in Miami

Today, January 20, 2005, George W. Bush will be Inaugurated for his second term as President of the United States.

Amidst calls for unity amongst Americans of differing political parties, representatives of the very radical left have called for demonstrations of civil unrest and protest. Known as the "Counter-Inauguration," this movement has been embraced by the underbelly of society, those who call themselves anarchists, revolutionaries and socialist/communists.

Encouraged activities include the presentation of coffins, street theatre depicting murder and mayhem, "die-ins," "lie-ins," and "cry-ins," the glorification of terrorists as "freedom fighters" complete with suicide bomb belts and kaffiyehs, and of course, the mocking of the President and the denigration of the United States Military.

In South Florida, this radical movement is in full swing, and great effort has been made to cover up the more radical thoughts and ideas within the movement to make them more palatable to the general public.

Many of these radical groups are undergoing a face lift to appear more moderate in nature in order to encourage more moderate members. While the word "anti" as in "anti-war" is fast disappearing from the names of these groups in favor of more moderate terminology such as "pro" as in "pro-peace," such changes cannot hide the roots of anarchy, dissent and violence long associated with these groups.

Tonight ProtestWarrior will counter-protest moonbat groups such as Miami Peace, Broward Peace, Broward Anti-War Coalition, Ladies in Black, CodePink, and the newly formed "Grass Roots Miami" before the Torch of Friendship in Downtown Miami.

The circus starts at 5:30 pm with the ceremonial presentation of a coffin, and includes a remembrance of "the innocent Iraqis murdered by the US Military." Camilo Mejia's mommy will be there, Mejia having been convicted of desertion, and jailed for a year. Mejia's mommy will speak on the evils of a world that expected her son to honor his oath and complete his service contract. Plans include a reading of the names of the American Soldiers who have been killed in action.

Their message: The War is illegal and immoral. American Troops have murdered thousands of innocents, not terrorists. Their claim to "honor" those very same troops who they accuse of the murder of thousands of innocents, is a lie, as well as the height of hypocrisy. They claim they will be honoring our fallen troops but reality is that this despicable plan is to use the memory of our Fallen Soldiers to further their anti-American agenda. This circus is being performed for the sole purpose of making their anti-American agenda more palatable to the general public.

ProtestWarrior will be there to support George W. Bush as the President of the United States of America and to support the United States Military who are overseas fighting the War on Terrorism.

ProtestWarrior will be there to expose these "anarchists" and "revolutionaries" for the liars and hypocrites that they are, most especially CodePink, who has recently donated $600,000 to the "other side" in the Iraq conflict.

I have so many friends off to DC for the Inauguration, I wish I could go. But no, I have to stay here and spend the evening with a bunch of anti-American moonbats. I will be surrounded by those who believe in the right to free speech, except, it is their right to free speech they believe in, not mine. They will try to shut me up. I will be cursed at, called a nazi and fascist, a whore and slut. I will be verbally abused and perhaps physically abused by the peace-nots who will be there. I will be overwhelmed by the smell of unwashed bodies covered in patchouli oil. Oh well. I've done it before and I will do it again, its a nasty job, but someone has to do it.

Pictures and video will be forthcoming. The local media is expected.

Join us if you dare. We could use the support.

Oh, the Irony...

'The Jerk That Flirts With Death'

In September the Daily Nebraskan, the student newspaper at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, published a column by Derek Kieper that argued against mandatory seat-belt laws:

As laws become increasingly strict for seat belts, fewer people will respond positively by buckling up in response to the laws. There seems to be a die-hard group of non-wearers out there who simply do not wish to buckle up no matter what the government does. I belong to this group. . . .

Telling me to wear my seat belt is the same as making sure I have some sort of proper education before diving into a swimming pool. If I want to dive in without knowing how to swim, that is my right. And if I want to be the jerk that flirts with death and rides around with my seat belt off, I should be able to do that, too.

Today's Lincoln Journal Star reports the sad ending of the Kieper story:

Kieper, a 21-year-old senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, died early Tuesday morning when the Ford Explorer he was a passenger in travelled off an icy section of Interstate 80 and rolled several times in a ditch. . . . Derek, who was thrown from the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt.

When you flirt with death, you run the risk that death has something more serious in mind.

I got this from Best of the Web. If you don't read it, you should!

Supporting Terrorism

On January 29, 2004, a Palestinian terrorist climbed aboard Bus 19 in Jerusalem and blew himself up. In the process, he murdered 11 innocent people, and injured 50.

The mangled shell of the bus was later sent to The Hague, in the Netherlands, where it was displayed outside the International Court of Justice to protest the court's ruling against Israel's separation barrier -- which is intended to prevent attacks exactly like the one that destroyed Bus 19. A Christian humanitarian group now called The Jerusalem Connection subsequently bought the bus and had it shipped to the United States, where, loaded on the back of a flatbed trailer, it has since made stops at anti-terror rallies across the country.

On January 16, 2005, the bus made a stop in Berkeley, California for an anti-terror rally organized by the "Israel Action Committee of East Bay."

And the insanity began...

SF Gate reports that

"a Berkeley rally against terrorism that featured a bombed Israeli bus turned briefly violent Sunday when angry counter demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags marched into the mostly pro-Israel crowd."

"... some 40 people, mostly men of Middle Eastern descent, yelled and exchanged taunts with pro-Israeli demonstrators across the street."

"Two, four, six, eight, we are martyrs, we can't wait,'' chanted the group, most of whom wore kaffiyehs -- the cloth headdress closely associated with Palestinian militants. Some drove around the park, their faces covered, waving Palestinian flags."

Not quite accurate reporting, as proven by a recording made by an attendee of the rally:

One, three, five, seven, all our martyrs go to heaven!
Two, four, six, eight, we are martyrs, we can't wait!
One, three, five, seven, all our martyrs go to heaven!
One, three, five, seven, all our martyrs go to heaven!
Two, four, six, eight, we are martyrs, we can't wait!
Two, four, six, eight, we are martyrs, we can't wait!
One, three, five, seven, all our martyrs go to heaven!
One, Allahu Ackbar! Allahu Ackbar! Allahu Ackbar!

America. Land of Free, Home of Brave. And in Berkeley, California, home of terrorism and moonbats who support it.

There are photographs, soundbites and additional details here.

Protecting the Gene Pool

The Kommentariat asks the question:

Are you just not meeting anyone special at George Soros's anti-USA rent-a-mobs? Are there not enough single, promiscuous partners to be had at anti-globalization marches? Are you tired of bombing SUVs with the same ol' Earth Liberation Front kooks? Are you tired of dating clean cut, shaven (face for men, armpits & legs for women), showered, and well-dressed conservatives?

Fear not, your website has arrived!

HippiePersonals to the rescue! For when you must have only the smelliest, unshaven, unkempt of our society.

No need to worry about moondrop and hippybliss reproducing. After all, every year in the United States of America, pro-choice liberal "green peoples" kill off 1.3 million of their own offspring as a matter of convenience.

Justice Palestinian Style

Two young Palestinian men suspected of "collaboration" with Israel were murdered in the Nablus area over the weekend.

They said the man died instantly after being hit in the head with at least 25 bullets. The assailants and camp residents refused to allow an ambulance to take the body to a hospital. Instead, they threw it into a nearby dumpster.

The second victim was murdered on Saturday, also by Fatah gunmen. He was identified as Ramzi Assi, 18, also a resident of Nablus. Sources in the city said his bullet-riddled body was thrown from a passing vehicle outside the Rafidiyeh Hospital. They said the gunmen accused him of assisting Israel in the killing of two of their colleagues last year.

"We didn't use any form of physical pressure," a spokesman for the Aksa Martyrs Brigades claimed. "The confession was videotaped and the fact that there weren't any signs of abuse on his body shows that he hadn't been tortured."

Doctor Horsefeathers sums it up here.

It's just an anonymous chat board, right?

So. Do you like to be contentious and argumentative on the chat boards? Do you feel good when you piss someone off? Have you received any hate mail lately? How about stupid death threats full of misspelled words and capital letters?

Think you're anonymous on the internet? Think again.

The father of a murdered New Jersey family was threatened for making anti-Muslim remarks online — and the gruesome quadruple slaying may have been the hateful retaliation, sources told The Post yesterday.

Hossam Armanious, 47, who along with his wife and two daughters was found stabbed to death in his Jersey City home early Friday, would regularly debate religion in a Middle Eastern chat room, one source said.

Armanious, an Egyptian Christian, was well known for expressing his Coptic beliefs and engaging in fiery back-and-forth with Muslims on the Web site paltalk.com.

He "had the reputation for being one of the most outspoken Egyptian Christians," said the source, who had close ties to the family.

"You'd better stop this bull---- or we are going to track you down like a chicken and kill you," was the threat...

Armanious refused to back down and now he's dead, and his family is dead, murdered in their home. "Gruesome quadruple slaying" says a lot about the murderer. Armanious' daughter Sylvia, who would have celebrated her 16th birthday the day after her murder, seemed to have taken the most savage punishment.

I find this disturbing, deeply disturbing. I use PalTalk too, not with any regularity, but I do. And yes, I am usually contentious about Islam. And Muslims.

Harry and his Swastika

I am not going to defend Harry, what he did was stupid, insensitive and childish. But I would like to take a moment to point out the hypocrisy of all this outrage.

Nazi: German, by shortening & alteration from Nationalsozialist, from national + Sozialist. "National Socialist"

There are plenty of liberal democrats out there who claim to be socialists, like socialism is a good thing. They like to compare George Bush to Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the National Socialist Party, if Bush is comparable to Hitler, why is Bush not a hero to these people?

But, I digress. What I really want to talk about is communists, and specifically, Che Guevara. Why is Harry's costume bad and Che t-shirts good?

Hatred as an element of the struggle; a relentless hatred of the enemy, impelling us above and beyond the natural limitations that man is heir to, and transforming him into an effective, violent, seductive and cold killing machine. - Communist Mass Murderer Che Guevara

Communism has killed approximately 100 million people. Communism has killed more people than Nazi Germany, even radical Islam hasn't come close. And yet there is no outrage over the glorification of Che and other communists. Yes, I'm talking about Che Guevara merchandise again, as I did here, and here.

Poor stupid Harry. If he would have dressed up as Che Guevara, he would've been considered trendy and fashionable.

JIB Awards

IsraellyCool is hosting the 2004 Jewish / Israeli Blog Awards. Nominations are open until January 16, 2004. For me, the best part of the nomination process is that I get to find a lot of new Israeli blogs to read. That said, I do have an interest in the outcome.

IsraPundit has been nominated in two categories, Best Group Blog and Best Israel Advocacy Blog. As most of you know, I contribute to IsraPundit.

IsraPundit is the pioneer of the BlogBurst, a massive crossposting by participating blogs commemorating a significant moment in the history of Israel. The next Burst is scheduled for January 27, 2005 and is titled "Remembering the Wannsee Conference and the Liberation of Auschwitz, 27 January 1945." At this point, 114 sites have joined. It's not too late to get on board, for more information on the Burst and its participants, please click here: BlogBurst Info.

Here is a very pretty graphic to color up this post and help you find the JIB Awards page.

Vote For IsraPundit!!

We work very hard at keeping IsraPundit up to date, interesting, and insightful. It would be nice to win. I would prefer Best Advocacy Blog, because that's what we do over there. Go check out some really cool Israeli Blogs and, if you are so inclined, nominate IsraPundit.

Yellow Journalism Indeed

So. CBS dumps four people as a result of Memogate, and rightly so, since it was all a fabrication. But Dan survived the axe, why?

As RatherGate.com noted earlier this week, anchorman Dan Rather has also refused to acknowledge that the memos are fakes. Quoting from the Panel's report:

Rather informed the Panel that he still believes the content of the documents is true because "the facts are right on the money," and that no one had provided persuasive evidence that the documents were not authentic.

No "persuasive evidence"? Dr. Newcomer's evidence is beyond persuasive; it's conclusive: The Bush "Guard memos" are forgeries. (The link is via Charles Johnson, who also has a long list of related posts here.)

If Danny had any integrity at all, he would resign, and not just from the evening news but from 60 Minutes too. But Danny has no integrity, and he would rather let the ladies to take the blame for what he did. How low can a man go and remain a man?

Dan, you make me sick.

The Three Amigos

Meet The Three Amigos, Shaft, Stretch and Dick, cartoon condom characters created by the United Nations to help stop the spread of AIDS. The cartoon series places "The Three Amigos" in a variety of settings, including a spaceship, soccer field and casino, where they talk about safe sex.

The spaceship spot has the Amigos as astronauts on a rumbling launchpad inside a condom-shaped craft as it builds power to liftoff while a female voice, apparently mimicking orgasmic sounds, counts down. The launch suddenly aborts and the voice over at the end tells viewers: "No condom, no blastoff. Stop the spread of AIDS."

The soccer ad says: "You just can't score without a condom."

So. The commercials appear to be effective, especially in the Congo, where UN peacekeepers are raping and abusing young girls by the hundreds.

Even after the onset of an internal UN inquiry, investigators found "freshly used condoms" littering guard posts and command centres around Bunia, where peacekeepers from Pakistan, Morocco, Nepal and Bangladesh are based.

Kofi Annan could not be reached for comment, being much too busy enacting yet another UN Resolution against Israel. Priorities, ya know?

Cross posted at IsraPundit

UPDATE: Here's a scary thought: what if moonbats had their own army? And here's a scarier one: they do — it's called the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations.

You might think that an army of bumbling pacifist bureaucrats would be no threat to anyone. True, they have not been much of a menace to genocidal socialist dictators like Saddam and Milosevic, or mad mullahs chasing nukes in Iran, or the sinister Kewpie doll in North Korea who already has nukes, or al Qaeda, or anybody else who makes the world a dangerous place.

But there is one group with reason to fear the U.N. Army: underage girls.

Worse than Saddam?

What could possibly be worse than having your hands, and/or feet chopped off, your wife and children raped to death before your eyes, being dipped feet first into a vat of acid, being dragged through the streets behind a car, being shot, stabbed, whipped with chains, tied to a tree and beaten with a stick, electocuted, or, a combination of the above and then being killed and dumped into a mass grave?

Why, having a pair of women's panties put on your head! Or being threatened by a barking dog! Or being stacked with other naked terrorists into a pyramid. Or being put on a leash. Oh the humanity.

A former inmate at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison forced by U.S. guards to masturbate in public and piled onto a pyramid of naked men said on Tuesday even Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein did not do such things.

An obviously ill-at ease Mutar added: "I was extremely emotional because (even) Saddam didn't do this to us."

We get this kind of crap from terrorists like Ameen Al-Sheikh, a Syrian who said he went to Iraq to oppose the U.S. occupation. Al-Sheikh, who was captured with AK-47 assault rifles, grenades and bomb-making material. Al-Skeikh, who is well known in Abu Ghraib for having once obtained a gun from an Iraqi guard and exchanged fire with American soldiers. Al-Sheikh, who should have been shot while trying to escape.

Al-Sheikh said he was forced to eat pork and drink alcohol. He says a US Soldier pissed on him. Aw jeepers. Now you're making me cry. Al-Sheikh travels from Syria to kill Americans and ends up being pissed on by one. That's just too f'ing bad! You should have stayed in Syria you dumb shit.

With a name like Reem

What more would you expect...

Reem Raiyshi, the 22 year old Palestinian woman who was the suicide bomber who blew up an Israeli bus on January 14 this year, was located yesterday in heaven by a British clairvoyant.

Alas, it appears the Hamas activist was angry that God had not granted her wishes correctly. Ms Mood said Ms Raiyshi thought she was getting tall, dark and handsome men. Instead...

"Reem was led quite sore from Mr Branson's brutal 4 hour sex session to a field of 71 virgin sheep," Ms Mood said. "She has successfully had sex with every one of those sheep."

The Richard Branson thing was kinda nauseating but... as the Straight White Guy points out... don't miss the Hamas Love Doll at the bottom of the page...

Fundraisergate

Cattlegate, Filegate, Travelgate, Whitewatergate, Troopergate, Chinagate and Monicagate are just some of the scandals that have plagued the Clintons over the course of years. Now we have Fundraisergate, triggered by FEC false filings and a four-count indictment that stem from a Hollywood fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's 2000 senate campaign. And it's a scandal that will undoubtedly continue to haunt her.

Will this new scandal destroy Hillary Clinton's political career, which has been on an upward trajectory from the get-go? Well that remains to be seen. The question is whether Senator Clinton can be directly implicated in criminal wrongdoing. The Clintons always insulate themselves from prosecution by utilizing layers of minions to do their dirty work. To date, the Clintons have been astonishingly adroit at sidestepping disaster. Believe it or not, many Republicans are betting on Hillary Clinton to persevere. Not because they support her. In fact, they vehemently oppose her. It's really a testament to the keen political and legal capabilities of the Clintons that are widely acknowledged. Some Republicans jokingly liken the Clintons to Damien of the Omen series. Invariably, everyone surrounding Damien falls on their sword while the corrupt one continues onward.

No No No To Communism

Sunsara Taylor, a/k/a Revolutionary Worker #1264, implores America to say NO to the Inauguration! No to Bush's "Monsters' Ball." Reading Sunsara's message makes me feel all warm and mushy, and damn proud to be an American!

Somehow we find ourselves, in 2005, in the United States, perched on the edge of utter darkness, re-fighting battles—for science, for truth, for the hopes and equality of women, for respect for other peoples, and for the value and the continued existence of the planet itself—that were supposed to have been settled and secured by now. This is not what we were prepared for. And it’s still hard to come to terms with.

What did you expect you dumb shit - this is America! Land of the Free. Home of the Brave. Take the hint, you and your lack of morals, your lack of values, your lies and deceptions and your politics are not welcome here in the United States of America. America has spoken!

With fanfare and bombast, an image of a mighty, unquestioned Dubya without significant opposition will be used to chill and extinguish the spirit and the hopes of millions around the world. Will people watch this inauguration alone in their homes, feeling swallowed up and suffocated? Will the millions who felt so sure-footed just two short months ago when leaving jobs and school, criss-crossing the country to prevent the re-election of George Bush, feel totally defeated and negated and helpless?

Um... that would be millions of chilled communists and chilled leftie communist sympathizers without spirit and hope. Most Americans consider this a good thing, we want the millions of communists and leftie communist sympathizers to feel totally defeated, negated and helpless. In fact, we don't just want you to feel it, we want you be totally defeated, negated and helpless! Why? Because this is America you jackass, and we celebrate freedom!

We are not only celebrating the Inauguration of President George W. Bush, we are celebrating the defeat of John F'n Kerry. We are celebrating the defeat of the Communist Party.

You don't like it? Move!

Lessons to be Learned in Bam

Almost exactly one year prior to the December tsunami, a town in Iran was hit with an earthquake. Thirty-one thousand people in Bam died that day.

One billion in aid was pledged but according to the UN, most of the aid money never arrived. Still, the UN claims to have raised $50 million but one year later, only $17 million has been spent and nothing much has been changed in Bam. Surprise, surprise.

People, forced to lived outdoors, without fresh water or food, have become prey for scorpions, dozens have died or have been paralyzed.

Twelve months after Bam's destruction, survivors still have to conduct their lives in the open air. Cobblers and tailors work outside the ruins of their shops. Women huddle round standpipes to fill plastic basins for their washing.

"They promised to give us somewhere to live but we are still living in tents," complained fruitseller Mohammad Hosseini.

What would it take to get an accounting of the aid money sent to Bam, aid money that has surely disappeared into the deep pockets of Kofi Annan?

I have heard reports of yet another earthquake in Iran today, 5.8 on the Richter Scale. As of this moment, there is nothing in the news about this, it may not be true. But if it is... consider this...

Pledges for Asian tsunami victims have topped $6.5 billion. It appears that Kofi has found an alternative source of income now that Saddam is gone. Where there is a will, there is always a way.

Terrorist Election Update II

Headline: Palestinians extend balloting by 2 hours due to high voter turnout: Palestinian election officials extended voting in Sunday's presidential election by two hours, citing heavy turnout and confusion in Jerusalem.

Headline: Palestinian Turnout Low, Voting Extended: Palestinians initially said polls were being kept open another two hours because of heavy turnout. Subsequently, however, officials said the polls were being kept open to encourage turnout, which was only about 30 percent of 1.8 million eligible voters by noon local time (5 a.m. EST).

Headline: Palestinians extend voting by two hours: Voting in the Palestinian election of a successor to Yasser Arafat has been extended by two hours because some voters were being held up by Israeli army checkpoints, election officials say.

Terrorist Election Update

Guysen Israel News is reporting that the Al-Aqsa martyrs Brigades attacked the IDF in Samaria late Friday. One solider was killed in the "automatic weapon attack" and three others wounded, one seriously. The two terrorists escaped.

Al-Aqsa terrorists had a busy day, kidnapping two Spanish journalists in Khan Younes.

Abu Mazen declined to condemn the attacks, stating that each attack has its motives.

And so, "the Israeli government announced that it was thinking of withdrawing its forces for the duration of the elections, insofar as the Palestinian Authority does not fight against the terrorists who benefit from this occasion."

Jimmy Carter, former American President and terrorist sympathizer, spent some time meditating on the grave of his still dead hero, terrorist Yassir Arafat.

Tsunami Conspiracy Exposed!

King Moonbat Joe Vialls dares to expose the conspiracy behind the tsunami:

It is beyond any doubt that a giant tidal wave (tsunami) smashed its way through South and South East Asia, and still had enough legs to continue all the way across the Indian Ocean to Africa, where it killed and injured a few hundred more. So the only question we must ask, is whether this tsunami was a natural or man-made catastrophe?

Hmm. If you were a moonbat, who would you blame for the tsunami? So many choices. If you are the kind of moonbat that posts on Democratic Underground, then you would blame the tsunami on George W. Bush. But... If you're not...

... we are back to the age-old question of "who benefits?", and in this particular case, "Who is insane enough to kill more than 150,000 civilians just to hang on to power?' Based on their past performance in Iraq and other luckless countries, it would seem that the only realistic candidates are Wolfowitz and company, striving as always to create a "One World Government".

Certainly no other nuclear powers including Russia and China stand to gain anything at all from such an outrageous mass murder, so, as always in the end, we come back to Sherlock Holmes via the pen of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: "When you have ruled out the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, is the truth."

Please understand that I only scanned the "intelligence report" as it immediately becomes obvious that deep reading of the intelligence contained in the report is liable to cause severe brain damage. If you choose to read this thing, don't say I didn't warn you.

The DUmmies got a mention in the NY Times, will Joe? Probably not but cheer up Joe. This conspiracy theory is likely to be picked up and carried as front page news by the arab news media since it makes reference to the "Zionist Cabal" and manages to trace the cause of the tsunami right back to... yup, you guessed it... the Jooos!

You see, according to Joe, Australian Jews from New York caused the tsunami "for the huge reconstruction contracts in Asia, designed to replace the failed oil theft and reconstruction in Iraq, and keep poor old Zion on its tottering New York legs for a few more weeks or months."

Joe not only exposes conspiracies, but he has also been targeted by them as is evidenced by his receipt of an email from "some german guy" that "claimed that Wolfowitz had got hold of a critical weapon and was going to nuke Houston on either the 26 or 27 of December."

I never did read the whole email, but it seems very likely that it was initially circulated by Wolfowitz or one of his ilk, as a classic disinformation distraction. Try something along the lines of "You suckers all watch Houston very carefully on 26 December, while I nuke Asia behind your backs… "

Moonbat Joe saw right through that attempt to disinform him and as a result, the powers that be have been forced into an new conspiracy against Moonbat Joe:

Predictably perhaps, I remain permanently barred by American multinationals including Yahoo and PayPal, and more recently have had completely unacceptable restrictions placed on my web page layouts and graphics by others, who for the present will not be named. All seem intent on removing my content from the Internet completely, or in gaining 100% editorial control over my work.

Nevertheless, Joe dares to ask the age old question: "In the end, what the hell did it matter how many Goyim had to die?"

Joe makes this oh-so-important conclusion:

And, hey, on the credit side they'd already managed to kill more than 100,00 (sic) Muslims in Sumatra with a single tidal wave, which was partial payback for their own resounding defeats in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mommy, make it stop. My head hurts.

Clueless in Boston

Contributed by Alan Peters:

"The pundits have never liked me. Is it the way I look? The way I sound?" -John Kerry in first post-election interview with Newsweek.

How about the way you think? The way you act? The way you acted in the past? How about being an onion skin away from formally being a traitor? (Maybe officially were without Carter's pardon). How about the lies you tell?

Looking like "Lurch" certainly doesn't help.

Hang 'Em High!

On October 27, 2004, I met well known America hater from Code Pink, Gael Murphy, who, after giving aid and comfort to the terrorists in Iraq, returned the United States of America to target our Military here in South Florida. Murphy is best known for disrupting the RNC during Vice President Dick Cheney's speech as well as other anti-American and terrorist sympathizing activities.

She was outside of a Military Recruiting Facility in Broward County, Florida with a ragtag group of anti-war protesters to intimidate and denigrate our Military and our Country. I was there with ProtestWarrior to stand up for our troops and this Country. We called it Operation Military Shield, you can read about it here and there is video available as well.

Medea Benjamin, co-founder and leader of this anti-American group announced in Amman, Jordan this week that Code Pink, it's parent group Global Exchange and Families for Peace have donated $600,000 in aid to what Maeda calls the "other side" in the terrorist haven city of Fallujah in Iraq. $600,000 given to the "other side." $600,000 that will be used to purchase bombs and bullets for use against our Military.

Read about it here and here.

Medea Benjamin, Gael Murphy, and those working with her, opposed the liberation of the people of Iraq from the brutal reign of Saddam Hussein. They call themselves human rights activists, yet they support the worst human rights violators in the world from Fidel Castro to the terrorists in Fallujah. With American troops in harm's way in Fallujah, Medea Benjamin's proud admission that she and her cohorts are giving aid to the 'other side' should be grounds for her arrest for treason.

Congress convenes this week. I urge you to call your senator and the Department of Justice.

Remind them that United States Resolution 1368 "Calls on all States to work together urgently to bring to justice the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of these terrorist attacks and stresses that those responsible for aiding, supporting, or harboring the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of these acts will be held accountable."

Remind them that Article III, Section 3 of the United States provides that "Treason against the United States, shall consist only of levying war against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

Remind them that if convicted of treason, the sentence proscribed is death.

Demand they take action to protect our soldiers from these traitors.
