Harry and his Swastika

I am not going to defend Harry, what he did was stupid, insensitive and childish. But I would like to take a moment to point out the hypocrisy of all this outrage.

Nazi: German, by shortening & alteration from Nationalsozialist, from national + Sozialist. "National Socialist"

There are plenty of liberal democrats out there who claim to be socialists, like socialism is a good thing. They like to compare George Bush to Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the National Socialist Party, if Bush is comparable to Hitler, why is Bush not a hero to these people?

But, I digress. What I really want to talk about is communists, and specifically, Che Guevara. Why is Harry's costume bad and Che t-shirts good?

Hatred as an element of the struggle; a relentless hatred of the enemy, impelling us above and beyond the natural limitations that man is heir to, and transforming him into an effective, violent, seductive and cold killing machine. - Communist Mass Murderer Che Guevara

Communism has killed approximately 100 million people. Communism has killed more people than Nazi Germany, even radical Islam hasn't come close. And yet there is no outrage over the glorification of Che and other communists. Yes, I'm talking about Che Guevara merchandise again, as I did here, and here.

Poor stupid Harry. If he would have dressed up as Che Guevara, he would've been considered trendy and fashionable.

Excellent point. Fascism and communism are rival fractions of the same socialist ideology. The main difference between them is that communism managed to kill a lot more people.
