We're in trouble now!
The situation in Iraq is likely become a quagmire now that Norway is going to abandon the effort:
Norway: Incoming gov't to pull troops from IraqThe left-leaning coalition preparing to form Norway's next government said Thursday it plans to withdraw Norwegian troops from Iraq and from US-led operations in Afghanistan.
The Nordic country has 20 soldiers in Iraq, 10 serving in staff-officer positions within the British and Polish contingents, and 10 involved in training Iraqi forces.
Of course, this news leaves us with the question: "How will we succeed in Iraq without the support of 10 Nordic paper pushers and 10 Nordic teachers?" < /sarcasm>
The KFOR soldiers from Norbataljonen did have one shining moment in the War on Terror, although the soldiers responsible have since left the army:

That's right, they did the video Kosovo, click the pic if you haven't seen it. I loved the video, except for that very last scene.
I would like to note that cute as the video is, the original song was done in 1999 by moonbat Bob Rivers, who, when asked about the song, said:
"... the intent of the song was to mock my own country for its bullying ways around the world. The idea was to point out how casually the US plays World Police. The song takes on the persona of the US government, ridiculing the fact that we push others around without much concern. It is satire, which some have mistaken for literal propoganda. It was meant to be heard in the US and cause a US citizen to realize of how stupid our actions sound when put to music."
and
"The song has been stolen, video put to it, and I wish there were a way to stop it."
Thanks for sharing Bob, you'll be happy to know that others share your thoughts about America, others such as Osama Bin Laden, and I'm sure he appreciates your efforts.
Still, I hate to be the one to tell you Bob, but you failed in your mission. Your attempt to undermine our morale backfired on ya, didn't it? Too bad Bob. America will succeed despite your efforts. America will succeed in Iraq without your support, and America will succeed in Iraq without the support of 20 Nordic soldiers.

That is still funny as heck to me too. Thanks for the update and history. Have a good weekend.
