Saudi official: 345 dead in Hajj stampede

At least 345 people have been killed in a stampede during a symbolic stoning ritual
at the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, according to a Saudi official.
Government officials said 289 others were injured in the trampling near Mecca.

A progressive lot they are, indeed. I saw this posted on a chat board:

This is a yearly event with more casualties than the "running of the bulls" in Pamplona.

Every year the Saudis promise to add "crowd control" to ensure safety but it doesn't seem to help.

When was the last time a Catholic was killed in a stampede at St. Peter's Square during a Christian festival?

When was the last time a Jew was killed in a stampede (not terrorist-induced) in the Western Wall Plaza?

Does Satan get p!$$ed off when the faithful try to stone him?

Hey! When do we get to see these enlightened folks run through the streets slashing and flagellating themselves? Isn't that coming up in a few weeks?

Ah yes Ken, you're right. The bloody islamic celebration called Ashura is in February.

All I have to say is this.

The Devil- 345
Muslims - 0

One of these days, they'll learn that it's not nice to throw rocks at people.

Felis, I would say that 1990 was a good year.
