It's called Free Speech
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. The FBI will look into an online video that shows two men shooting a Quran with a military rifle and then leaving the bullet-riddled holy book at a Chattanooga mosque.
The video shows the man purchasing a Quran at a bookstore, going to a wooded area and shooting the book, then throwing it on the ground outside the door of the Chattanooga Islamic center.
Excuse me, but does free speech only apply to stinky assed hippies and muslims? We all saw the video of muslims stomping the flag on a New York City street, while they pledged to make this country muslim. Why is shooting the koran any different than burning the flag?
Why is the FBI investigating the shooting of a koran?
FBI agent Tim Burke said the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations asked the Justice Department to investigate the incident.
Oh. I see. The FBI is investigating the shooting of a koran because CAIR wants them to. Why is the FBI doing the bidding of a terrorist organization dedicated to the implementation of Sharia law in America and the destruction of our way of life? What a bunch of crap this is. I can do anything I want to a koran that I own, I can piss on it, I can flush it down the toilet, I can shoot it, I can burn it, I can wipe my dog's ass with it.
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." - Omar Ahmad, Founder of CAIR
What can we expect if they attain their goals? The answer is here: Rights of Non-Muslims in an Islamic State.

Hey Linda,
The scariest part about this is that no one really realizes just how dangerous this faction is Isalm is.
They make the assumption that this will be a war of religions and hope that Christianity falls in order to gaim some type of freedoms from the church and quazi church and state.
What their eyes doesn't see is that in countries that has recently allowed islam to flurish Sharia Law has been instituted.
The recent incident in Mog is a prime example.
People beaten and killed for watching a soccer game or celebrating at a wedding.
These are no offences to mankind or religion. But severe punishment was issued all the same.
They say that the people who did this will be punished but have you ever seen the results of anyone being punished for enforcing sharia law? From Muslims?
I dont think so Tim.(ToolTime)

Our institutions have become so politically correct, and anti-American at times, I often wonder if we will survive with the freedoms and ideals the America of the 20th Century had.
CAIR should be deported, somewhere. Somalia and Sudan are new islamic paradises. Go places for CAIR!

I really, really hate to say anything positive about this investigation, but...
From the article:
The video shows the man purchasing a Quran at a bookstore, going to a wooded area and shooting the book, then throwing it on the ground outside the door of the Chattanooga Islamic center.
That bolded part does, in fact, constitute a crime right up there with burning a cross on a black family's front lawn, and makes the FBI's involvement fully justified.
By the same token, I think the FBI needs to stop overlooking the statements and actions of many Islamic radical nutjobs, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
The shooting-up-the-Koran is completely legal free speech.
Leaving it on the doorstep of the Muslim center was going too far.
Of course, this (and much, much worse) is exactly what is to be expected when the government so completely avoids dealing with the real problem, which IS the Islamic pro-terror nutjobs.

G'Knark, is it considered a hate crime when a leftist burns our flag on the steps of a courthouse?

Well, since a courthouse is public property, I have to say that would not be a "hate-crime" - but if I were there to witness it, I'd probably be the one to get arrested.
If said leftist were to burn the flag on, say, the lawn of the patriotic vet down the street, then it certainly would constitute a crime.
FWIW, I feel the need to state that I'm no undercover liberal or any such. I'm pretty vehemently anti-leftist, anti-Islamofascist.
If you need to check my bona-fides, see http://www.powerclam.com (not that there's anything all that good there, but my inarticulate rants should let you know where I stand - if the &^%#% site's up)
I simply feel that in placing the shot-up Koran where they did, they unfortunately crossed a line.

G'Knark, after the koran was shot, it was thrown on the sidewalk, in front of the mosque. Not on the mosque property, on the sidewalk, which is public property. You might not have picked that up in the article.
How funny it is that we are discussing the shooting of a book.
And your rants don't seem all that inarticulate to me!

Bleh. I re-read the article and it said "in front of the mosque" and not on the sidewalk.
I have an imperfect memory.
Still, I don't view this as a hate crime.
Littering maybe.

The government is not on our side and this proves it. They are trying to help the enemy take over the country. When the war comes home, we'll have to fight the FBI and National Guard as well.
