Why I heart Sultan Knish:

Subject: URGENT photo saleReuters, a previously unknown pro-Zionist entity known only as the United Federation of Planets has dispatched a giant spaceship to bombard Beirut, manned by two known Zionists William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. Fire and smoke rises over Beirut in any direction you request. Also we are infested with many tribbles which may be a sign of the end of days and the return of the hidden Imam. The news of this terrible atrocity must reach the world! Please print these pictures and pay me the usual rate.
Adnan Hajj

But wait... there's more!

Oh, that one is priceless!!! If the situation wasn't so horrible, it would be funny. It is just beyond me that news agencies would fake photos, videos, ... and that groups would stage videos and bomb sites (Qana). But it has been so obvious during this recent war. I'm an honest person and I just can't stand the lies!

the news media do little these days but lie compulsively to fit whatever agenda they're promoting, there's no objectivity to news it's just propoganda

Is Adnan Hajj terrible at photoshop or, did he just get sloppy with this? Over confident after getting away with it so many times?
We know he's not the first to do this, he's not even the first to get caught.
So, we laugh and poke fun at the media, because the media has become a joke. That's human nature. But, we should never forget how dangerous the lies that media feeds us really are.
And when I think about the fact that Rueters was founded by Paul Julius Reuter, who was the Jewish son of a German Rabbi, I feel like crying.

True Linda, we laugh at the media. But, I worry because I know some very good people who get all their news from the broadcast media and daily newspapers. Most of these folks know that something isn't right with what they hear and read, but they are hard working, honest folks who don't have the luxury of time to search for alternative news sources.
I do what I can to send them to a few blog sites and get them started on the road to alternative news. The average working guy and gal seem to be basically conservative by nature, and patriotic. In spite of the media bias, I am surprised how many of these average folks are pro-Israel and know that terrorists started this war and need to be eliminated. There is hope.

You're absolutely right Tom, far too many people get their news and their views from the mainstream media.
So many of us try to get the truth out, and thank G-d, at least some people are paying attention.

The MSM knows we read newspapers or watch the TV news the same way we eat a Big Mac: quickly and without any critical thought. And before you know it, your meal's gone and it's time for another serving. Only the blogosphere is putting news under the microscope and finding the lies. Can you imagine what would happen to a photo journalist in WW2 if the American people found out he/she doctored a picture for ANY reason at all?! Gen. Patton would bitch-slap them with their own camera! They'd be hauled up before a Congressional committee or spend years in jail. But today...what the hell. It's just news. It's not like anybody takes it seriously. "That's all for the Conflict in the Middle East. Next, on Survivor, a dozen greedy morons endure flies and days with no water while they stab each other in the back for the chance to get rich and a book contract. Till next week, I'm the Airhead Media, keeping you all entertained and rock stupid. 'Night all!"
