Project Valour IT: The Few, The Loud, The Marines!
From October 30th until November 10th I'm raising my voice with the Marine Corps fundraising team, for Project Valour IT.
What is Project Valour IT? Well, first you get the background... the story behind Valour IT:
Project Valour-IT began when Captain Charles "Chuck" Ziegenfuss was wounded by an IED while serving as commander of a tank company in Iraq in June 2005.
During his deployment he kept a blog. Captivating writing, insightful stories of his experiences, and his self-deprecating humor won him many loyal readers. After he was wounded, his wife continued his blog, keeping his readers informed of his condition.
As he began to recover, CPT Ziegenfuss wanted to return to writing his blog, but serious hand injuries hampered his typing. When a loyal and generous reader gave him a copy of the Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred software, other readers began to realize how important such software could be to CPT Ziegenfuss' fellow wounded soldiers and started cast about for a way to get it to them.
A fellow who writes under the pseudonym FbL contacted Captain Ziegenfuss and the two realized they shared a vision of creating libraries of laptops with voice-controlled software that could be brought to the bedsides of wounded soldiers whose injuries prevented them from operating a standard computer. FbL contacted Soldiers' Angels, who offered to help develop the project, and Project Valour-IT was born.
When I made this post in July of 2005, my goal was to Cheer Up Chuck as he recovered from wounds he received while defending our freedom in Iraq. Yes, its the same Chuck, and many of you sent cards and letters to Chuck during his stay at Walter Reed. I thank you for that, but our work is not done yet.
Project Valour-IT accepts donations of any amount to supply the "libraries" of laptops at major medical centers and gifts to individuals, but has also added the option of an individual or organization directly sponsoring a wounded soldier by completely funding the cost of a laptop and continuing to provide him or her with personal support and encouragement throughout recovery.
Every cent raised for Project Valour-IT goes directly to the purchase and shipment of voice-activated laptops for wounded servicemembers. As of October 2006, Valour-IT has distributed nearly 600 laptops to severely wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines across the country.
Project Valour-IT is a simple idea with profound impact. It's grateful Americans, providing laptops with voice-activated software for severely wounded troops. Project Valour IT offers a way for us to tell them we have not forgotten their sacrifices, and that is truly priceless. In many, many ways what we are trying to do is reconnect them to the world; remind them that they are not alone. That they still have something to contribute, that they are still a vital part of this nation, and that even though they may have lost parts of themselves that they can never recover, though they may temporarily be feeling hopeless, helpless, even alone, they aren't.
Someone remembers. Someone still cares. And when they get out of the hospital, America will find a way for them to rejoin the community and be useful again. For a wounded vet facing traumatic and painful injuries, that knowledge alone is beyond price.
Please dig deep. You cannot know the value of the hope your small contributions can bring to those who have already given so much on our behalf.
If you wish to donate, you can use the button below or the one in my sidebar, or send a check (with MARINES in all caps on it!) to:
Soldiers' Angels
1150 N Loop 1604 W, Suite 108-493
San Antonio, TX 78248
If you're a blogger, join a team, any team will do. Tell your friends, family and neighbors about Valour-IT, challenge your co-workers or employer to match donations, consider involving clubs, churches, or charitable organizations. If you have any contacts in the media (local or national newspapers, radio, TV, spread the word!
I know I can count on your support for this, just hit the button so my team gets credit! and... Thank you!
Yes, there's a good bit of good-natured interservice rivalry fun in the interests of raising some money in a good cause, at the end of the day what really matters is not which team you support, but that you find it in your hearts to support a worthwhile cause. Because our wounded vets have given more in the service of our country than most of us will ever be able to repay.
If you were wondering why I chose the Marines Fundraising Team, well, I love tanks, and I love fighter jets, but in the end, I joined the Marines Fundraising Team because of the Marine you see right there, down on one knee...

He served in Korea, as Infantry, in the Military Police and he was a proud member of the Marines' Drum and Bugle Corps.

And he just happens to be my Dad! Handsome, isn't he? Of course he is, that's why they let him be a Marine! and I bet you thought it was a coincidence that Marines are so darn good looking! Nothing is by accident!

I'm proud of my Dad, and I'm proud of each of every one of our troops serving in the United States Military, whether its the Army, Navy, Air Force or the Marines. These brave men and women deserve our support, and Project Valour IT is a great way to say Thank You!

Has anyone seen Karl Rove?
Rut roh....
Several South Florida voters say the choices they touched on the electronic screens were not the ones that appeared on the review screen -- the final voting step.
Debra A. Reed voted with her boss on Wednesday at African-American Research Library and Cultural Center near Fort Lauderdale. Her vote went smoothly, but boss Gary Rudolf called her over to look at what was happening on his machine. He touched the screen for gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis, a Democrat, but the review screen repeatedly registered the Republican, Charlie Crist.
ooops. At least it a little more subtle than this:

The world according to Condi
So, let's just say Afghanistan held elections, and they elected Osama Bin Laden as their President.
That would be okay, and we will send him money, and we will support him, just like we support the terrorist governments of Hamas and Hezbollah.
"If Hizbullah wants to be in politics...Hizbullah should be disarmed. You cannot have one foot in terror and the use of violence and the other foot in politics. It just doesn't work that way," Rice said in an interview with the privately-owned Lebanese Broadcasting Corp.
Why not? It works for Hamas.
"Hizbullah has to decide whether it's going to maintain its terrorist wing and remain a terrorist organization or whether it's going to...be part the political process," she said.
Hezbollah has decided, they want to have their cake and eat it too, and you're gonna feed it to them. After all, you set the precedent in your dealings with Hamas and what's good for one terrorist government is surely good for another.
It would appear that as far as Condi Rice is concerned, one man's terrorist is just another politician.
Now, if you can just get rid of them pesky Jews...

Beware the Shawal Moon
Moslems kill moslems over the sighting of the moon:

You know, it might be funny, were it not so absolutely demented and pathetic.
But... on a happy note, that's 14 less we gotta kill.

Shabbat Shalom
Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory.
Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness. Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.”
Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.
Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world, and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.
Amen

Oh those evil Joos
Israel's policy towards Palestinian prisoners is "arbitrary and disproportionate" and violates international humanitarian law by moving them out of occupied territory, an Israeli rights group said on Thursday.
B'Tselem, an independent body that monitors Israeli actions towards the Palestinians, said the vast majority of the 9,000 Palestinians being held by Israel were illegally imprisoned inside the Jewish state.
"Holding these prisoners and detainees in Israel flagrantly breaches international humanitarian law, which prohibits the transfer of civilians, including detainees and prisoners, from the occupied territory to the territory of the occupying state," B'Tselem said in a 53-page report.
Wow, 53 pages on condemnation for Israel, not quite a record, but its up there. The article complains about the location of the prisons, and the fact that some prisoners are denied visitation:
One-third of the relatives of Palestinian prisoners held in Israel are barred from entering the country to visit their loved ones, the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem reported on Thursday.
The report, which focused on the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israel, said that children under the age of six are not allowed physical contact with their jailed fathers or brothers, according to Army Radio.
Anat Bar-Sela, the author of the report, said "the onus to facilitate the visits is placed on Israel by international law, due to the fact that Israel is the ruling power."
Why would Israel move its prisons closer the lawlessness and chaos of palestinian territories, where they are more likely to come under attack by terrorists? So they can visit each other? Their victims don't get to visit each other, do they?
Reality is that one-third of the prisoners are denied visitors because their family members are not allowed into Israel under any circumstances. Why? Well, presumably because they are terrorists. Others are likely denied visitors because of the kind of prisoners they are (terrorist leaders). Or perhaps visitors are denied to those prisoners as a form of punishment for misbehavior. Either way, there must be a reason if it's the exception rather than the rule. America also keeps certain prisoners in isolation, still, it is Israel after all, and so, we get 53 pages of condemnation.
Perhaps the Israeli government should look to the palestinian government for policy on how to treat prisoners. Hamas executed 18 year old Eliyahu Pinchas Asheri within hours after kidnapping him. Gilad Shalit has completely disappeared, no one has heard from him since Hamas kidnapped him.
I wonder if that would shut B'Tselem up. Probably not, I am sure they would still manage to fault Israel and praise Hamas at the same time. All that hypocrisy must be tiring.
When it comes to terrorists, I'm a take no prisoners kind of person. They should be shot while trying to escape.

When Zionists are Outlaws
Alejandro de Llano claims he has been charged with the great crime of supporting Israel and being against the Palestinian people.
It began two years ago, the Galician nationalist Major of Oleiros began a campaign against Israel. His catchy slogans - “Stop the beast. Sharon murderer” and “Stop to new Nazis.” Of course, the campaign also included anti-US slogans, and raised money selling toilet paper with the US Flag on it, bearning the legend “USAme.” Translation: “USE me.”
Alejandro de Llano reports that he sent a letter to the Major to critisize his campaign and mentioned that it could be a crime to divert public money to support international terrorism. Two years later, on October 13th, 2006, he has received a summons from a Criminal Judge announcing him that he is held responsible of the crime of supporting Israel and acting against Palestinian people.
An outrageous story, is it true? It is being claimed that the The Major has been watched by the CIA because of his ties to Cuba and his connections with palestinians, but Alejandro doesn't have a copy of the summons.
It could be true.
Hat tip to the Sultan!

Another Convert to Islam?
Associated Press photographer Emilio Morenatti is on the fast track for conversion to the Religion of Peace, having been kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip today. He was snatched off the street at gunpoint as he left his apartment.
I can hear his protests now... "hey, wait a minute, I'm with the AP, I'm on your side."
No matter, its still a good bet that Morenatti is about to embrace islam either way, just like the fox news reporters kidnapped in August.
Ghazi Hamad, spokesman for the Hamas-led Palestinian government, condemned the kidnapping, saying it "damages the reputation of the Palestinian people."
Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesman, said the kidnapping "contradicts our culture and our morals and our religion."
Saeb Erekat, a confidant of President Mahmoud Abbas of the
moderateFatah terrorist Party, also condemned Morenatti's kidnapping, saying it "harms Palestinian interests."
Yeah, sure. That's why Hamas published its handy dandy guidebook to kidnapping, complete with illustrations...

Yeah, yeah, I know I shouldn't bother you with facts, especially when they contradict our ever so honest and forthright media:
Palestinian
militantsterrorists in Gaza have often kidnapped foreign journalists and aid workers. All those kidnapped have been released unharmed.
Sure, all of those kidnapped by them there palestinian terrorists were released unharmed. Unless, of course, they're Jewish. Then, they get a bullet to the head, like Eliahu Asehri.

More of these boobs
Unemployed, armed with her GED, and campaigning on her cleavage, the founder of the Alabama Marijuana Party is now the Libertarian Party's write-in candidate for governor of Alabama.
Loretta Nall's campaign is offering T-shirts and marijuana stash boxes adorned with a photo of her with a plunging neckline and the words: "More of these boobs." Below that are pictures of other candidates for governor — including Republican incumbent Bob Riley and Democratic Lt. Gov. Lucy Baxley — and the words: "And less of these boobs."
Her boobs, by the way, have been dubbed by the candidate as "the twins." Her Web site has a cartoon of someone stuffing bills down the front of her low-cut top. And for $50 donation she apparently offers to show a cartoon of herself flashing her breasts.
Nall is calling for the withdrawal of the Alabama National Guard from Iraq, tax credits for sending children to private school and home schooling, opting out of the No Child Left Behind Act, legalizing marijuana, and not complying with the Patriot Act and the Real ID Act.
She also entertained readers of her campaign Web site with lots of information about her personal life, including a discussion of why she doesn't wear panties, and the oh so interesting story about how it nearly kept her and her mother (who also doesn't wear panties) from visiting her brother in prison.
Don't miss the Loretta Nall "Greatest Hits" page, where you will find entertaining stories about her boobs, her panties (or lack thereof), her run-ins with the police, and the visit to her home by the FBI in connection with an internet threat to shoot a judge. Don't miss her trials and tribulations piece about her failure to get on the ballot (its all just so unfair!), but be warned, she uses very colorful language.
The story of Loretta Nall seems amusing on its face, but in the end, its just another example of liberals abusing our political process and mocking our government. Voting for Loretta would be the equivalent of voting for Mickey Mouse, except, Mickey Mouse is a more likely and better qualified candidate.

UN-Happy Birthday
It was sixty-one years ago on October 24, 1945 that the United Nations came into existence as an instrument of peace with a vision to make the world a better place for succeeding generations - a world where nations are at peace with one another, where people's human rights are protected, where the equal rights of men and women are guaranteed, where the rule of law is observed and respected, and social progress and better standards of life are ensured for all.
Sadly, the United Nations has not only failed miserably, but has become a protector of terrorists and a supporter of the regimes which breed them.
When the President of the United States spoke to the United Nations in October of 2004, he spoke of the need for change and called for a new course of action against the threat of terrorism, to stop the killing of school children in Russia, the beheading of construction workers in Iraq, the murder by suicide bombers. He spoke of how, rather than engineers, doctors, scientists and social workers, the Muslim world has become the world's largest exporter of hatred and murder. He spoke of how Muslim equality for women has emerged under the guise of female suicide bombers. He spoke of the consequences of terrorism that have been perpetuated by the Muslim world for over a decade in New York, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kenya, Tanzania, and Bali, Jakarta, Moscow, Madrid and Istanbul.
The President urged action against terrorism, admitting that "for too long, many nations, including my own, tolerated, even excused, oppression in the Middle East in the name of stability." He promised to implement the radical changes that would lead to freedom, to take the fight to the enemy instead of waiting for them to come to us. He acknowledged that it would not be easy and he urged the world to unite in the effort.
What effect could such powerful words have when most of those oppressors, most of those violators of human rights and decency, most of those dictators that our President was referring to in his speech sat before him as members in good standing of the United Nations?
Sitting on UN Commission on Human Rights are some of the world's worst mass murderers and violators of the very human rights they are supposed to protect, including Cameroon, China, Congo (DRC), Cuba, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe. The Chairman of the Commission is one of the worst human rights offenders, Libya. These are the very same human rights violators that the Commission is supposed to investigate and expose.
No wonder, then, that the UN has failed to even criticize China's human rights violations, failed to even discuss slave labor when the former Soviet Union existed, failed to even consider the sale of white women and children in Saudi Arabia, failed to investigate the denial of the most basic human rights to women in Asia and Arab countries, and failed to examine the slave trade in Arab countries.
The Commission voted against "special observation" of Zimbabwe's violations of human rights; and voted for the upgrading of the human rights status of Sudan, even while its dictatorship committed genocide against its southern black Christians, carried on slavery, and approved of systematic rape.
Consider the actions of Commission member Cuba. Castro had thrown into prison seventy-five dissidents, including journalists and librarians; and it had executed three men who hijacked a ferryboat to escape from this communist hellhole. No matter. The Commission reelected Cuba to another three-year term, "undoubtedly a recognition of the Cuban Revolution's work in human rights in favor of all our people," so Cuba proclaimed.
Ever careful to protect itself and its member dictatorships, the UN went so far as to terminate its relationship with the free speech organization Reporters Without Borders after it criticized the UN's human rights record. Reporters Without Borders had the audacity to suggest reforms that included the restricting of voting by dictatorships and claimed "that granting the chair to Qadhafi's [Libyan] regime has been a disgrace to the commission." The Commission voted 27 to 23 to suspend its relationship with the organization. All of the democratic members voted against it.
As Victor Davis Hanson said in the Wall Street Journal, "It is not the same United Nations of decades past, helping the poor nations with hunger, and sending troops around the world to keep the peace. Gone are the days when UNESCO and UNICEF provided selfless service around the world to fight disease and famine. Now it is a political body with a different agenda. Its membership is rife with tyrannies, theocracies and Stalinist regimes."
Immediately prior to the President's speech, Kofi Anan declared the Iraq War illegal to a BBC reporter. No surprise, considering that at the time of Iraq's blatant defiance of the United Nations resolutions on its weapons of mass destruction, one of Saddam Hussein's henchmen chaired the May sessions of the UN Conference. No surprise considering Kofi Anan's participation the Oil for Food scandal currently under investigation. No surprise considering the UN was silent while Saddam Hussein starved, tortured, maimed and murdered his own people.
Indeed, the UN was silent while Slobodan Milosevic methodically practiced ethnic cleansing in his country. The UN was silent while the Taliban systematically murdered their own people, repressed all human rights, and enslaved women. The UN was silent while in Rwanda and Burundi, half a million lives were lost in civil war.
The UN was silent while 800,000 people were murdered in 1994 during a systematic genocide organized by the Hutu government, and carried out against the Tutsi minority by its troops, police, and specially trained death squads. In 1999, an independent report condemned the UN's reluctance to accept evidence of a genocide, and reluctance to act once the genocide was undeniable.
The UN was silent while in North Korea hundreds of thousands have been murdered in the last decade, and possibly three million have been starved to death in a government created famine.
The UN was silent while 8,000 Muslim men and boys were murdered in Srebrenica, Bosnia, during the Bosnian war of 1995. Another UN commissioned report on this asserted that the UN peacekeepers stood by while Serb troops massacred those to whom the UN had promised protection. The UN had refused to reinforce their peacekeepers with enough troops, and even then severely restricted the action of those that were there.
The UN was silent while over three million were killed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with UN peacekeepers standing by and watching.
And the UN remains silent through the genocide in Sudan.
By its own admission in the Report of the Panel on UN Peace Operation, the UN recognized that its peacekeeping efforts have failed. It undertook peacekeeping in only a third of the conflicts during the 1990s, and when the UN did do something, it failed or was not effective.
And yet, the UN raises its voice, loud and clear, in consistent and constant condemnation of Israel. In the last few decades, more than half of the UN resolutions passed were against Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. Israel scores as high as the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom on political rights. On civil liberties, Israel scores much higher than the dictatorship members of the UN.
Consider the dictatorships of Algeria, China, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, all of whom are members of the UN Commission on Human Rights. The dictatorship of Egypt is a member of all six UN committees concerned with human rights treaties. The dictatorships of Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan participate on the Governing Council of the International Labor Organization. The bloody dictatorship of Iran is on the five-member UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.
Dictatorships who treat women as second class citizens or slaves like Egypt, Iran, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates are all members of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
"So Americans' once gushy support for the U.N. during its adolescence is gone. By the 1970s we accepted at best that it had devolved into a neutral organization in its approach to the West, and by the 1980s sighed that it was now unabashedly hostile to freedom. But in our odyssey from encouragement, to skepticism, and then to hostility, we have now reached the final stage--of indifference. Americans do not get riled easily, so the U.N. will go out with a whimper rather than a bang. Indeed, millions have already shrugged, tuned out, and turned the channel on it." - Victor Davis Hanson
The United Nations is still investigating about 150 allegations of sexual abuse by its staff and soldiers in the Congo. The charges include accusations of pedophilia, rape and prostitution, some of which have been recorded on videotape.
"I am afraid there is clear evidence that acts of gross misconduct have taken place," said Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
It has been years since the UN promised a full investigation and to hold those involved accountable, the fact is that the UN has never been open or honest and has been known to ignore evidence in the past – including accusations of rape and murder by "peacekeepers."
In a June 21, 2004 speech at the Conference on Confronting anti-Semitism: Education for Tolerance and Understanding sponsored by the United Nations Department of Information, human rights scholar and activist Anne Bayefsky made the following points:
- There is only one entire UN Division devoted to a single group of people: the United Nations Division for Palestinian Rights (created in 1977).
- The only UN day dedicated to a specific people is November 29, the annual UN Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
- There is only one refugee agency dedicated to a single refugee situation: UNRWA (in operation since 1950).
- The General Assembly operates through six committees of the whole. One of them, the Fourth Committee, routinely devotes 30 percent of its time to the condemnation of Israel.
- The General Assembly emergency sessions... began in 1956, and since then six of the ten emergency sessions ever held, have been about Israel. The 10th such session began in 1997 and has been reconvened 13 times. One might think that a million dead in Rwanda or two million dead in Sudan might have warranted one General Assembly emergency session.
- The UN's primary human-rights body is the UN Human Rights Commission. 30% of the resolutions condemning specific states ever adopted over 40 years are directed at Israel.
and finally...
UNIFIL (United Nations Forces In Lebanon) announced yesterday that it will be compelled to [try] to shoot down Israeli reconnaissance jets flying over Lebanon as a violation of "the deal." The flights have revealed the extend to which Hizbollah is re-arming in Southern Lebanon and from where the ballistics are coming.
UN-Happy Birthday United Nations, may this one be your last.

Beheadings Aren't Just For Islamists Anymore
By Toni at Bear Creek Ledger
Those pro-illegal aliens should be paying attention to what's happening with the drug cartels south of the border. This is what we in the US have to look forward to if there isn't something done to control our southern borders.
We also have Venezuela's Chavez giving legal ID's to members of Hezbollah and Hamas but he is also assisting their efforts to become proficient in Spanish to help these terrorists to infiltrate the US.
Here's a story that is definitely not been publicized on the front page but should be since these drug cartels are controlling many areas of our southern border. I am getting to the point of believing the US should be placing active duty troops on our southern border to protect us. There is an assault and invasion occurring today that has been ignored and local law enforcement doesn't have a prayer against these drug cartels. And don't tell me about "posse comitatus"! These troops would be attacking foreign invaders.

Viva la Révolution!
So, my good friend Beth has been dumpster diving over at DU and Kos, and reports that in these last few days before November 7, paranoia reigns and BDS is rampant. So, I did my own swamp dive into the dumpster known as Huffington Toast, and came up with this little nugget from Lyn Davis Lear:
Here are some questions: Are these guys simply narcissistic idiots Rove-ing around in some never-never land bubble or do they know something we don't? Have they planned a grab bag nose punch of an October/November surprise? Or have Diebold, ES&S, and local state secretaries assured them that they will do "whatever it takes" to get a Republican Congress elected again? Or are they just planning to outspend us?
But, not to worry... Lyn has the answer...
But whether it is hubris, loony tunes, or both, the White House's freakish calm about the elections makes me as nervous as the hell we seem to be headed for. Therefore we should all be on alert. If for whatever reason we don't win back Congress in November the only real answer will be to take to the streets.
Yes! Be on alert! and then... Take to the streets! and then... what? Did you forget that we have all the guns???
Hahahaha. I keep flashing back to all those cry baby pictures after Bush won in 2004, this time around, it should be even better.

What a difference a year makes
Gaza's Greenhouses in Jewish hands:

Gaza's Greenhouses one year later:

In September of 2005 they descended like locusts on Gush Katif, pillaged and destroyed what took a generation to build. One year later, the desert that bloomed is a barren wasteland, ravaged by palestinians who know nothing, care for nothing, and think of nothing except death and destruction.
Hat tip to the Sultan Knish, who today exposes George Soros for exactly who and what he is.

Regrets...
Dodd Regrets Not Standing Up For Terrorists
“Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., said he regretted being talked out of filibustering tough new tribunal legislation signed by president Bush on Tuesday, and plans to seek new legislation to overturn portions of the bill. Dodd denounced the measure, which civil liberty groups have said endangers many freedoms. The measure signed by Bush sets up military tribunals to try terror suspects and allows the introduction of evidence obtained through tough interrogation procedures.”
He also worried that the measure would result in severe treatment for American soldiers who are captured by enemies of the United States.
Dodd was campaigning in Iowa as he considers a bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Aw... that's just so special, and fair, and kind, and compassionate. Treatment of prisoners is so important in times of war. Just ask Pfc. Keith Matthew Maupin, who was captured by the enemy on April 9, 2004. Oh wait, you can't do that, can you? Of course you can't, because there has been no word from Pfc. Keith Matthew Maupin, we don't know what happened to him, what horrors he has suffered, or even whether he is dead or alive and I'm willing to bet that you don't know about him, or even care to contemplate what kind of treatment he has received in the hands of our enemies.
Tell ya what Dodd, why don't we give their captured soldiers the same treatment they give our captured soldiers?
Instead of putting a pair of women's panties put on their head, or... threatening them with a barking dog, or... stacking them with other naked terrorists into a pyramid, or putting the bastards on a leash, we could cut off/ mutilate their facial features, cut their heart out, cut off their testicles, and their penis and stuff that in their mouth, contort their arms and gouge out their eyes, drag their bodies behind a car, saw off their heads with a kitchen knife and then dump their bodies in the street, stuffed with explosives as a trap to kill their friends and countrymen who come to find them!!
That's what they do to us and hey, I'm all for fair and equal treatment.
Why don't you do something worthwhile Dodd, and find out what happened to Keith Maupin?

Defining Terrorism
Never, ever deal with terrorists. Hunt them down and, more important, mercilessly punish those states and groups that fund, arm, support, or simply allow their territories to be used by the terrorists with impunity. - Rabbi Meir Kahane
So. A unanimous decision by United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has upheld a terrorist designation for Kahane Chai.
Rabbi Kahane is dead, killed by a moslem terrorist. Before he died, Rabbi Kahane looked into the future and saw what so many still refuse to see. From "Forty Years," written by Rabbi Kahane in 1980:
... Israel will become an ever-growing world pariah, subject to economic and military sanctions by a United Nations of gangsters. This will be no matter what she does, for short of national suicide, the world... will not be satisfied. And the Ally will melt away like snow in the warming spring sun. American largesse will shrink...
As the more radical Arabs overthrow the conservative, feudal regimes and pressure America to strangle Israel, this is what will be. And it makes no difference if the administration is Republican or Democrat. Both are near unto themselves. The reality is that America will — not necessarily through hatred or anti-Semitism — will become the major enemy of Israel. And there is nothing, no amount of concessions that will change this.
... the Arabs will grow in quantity and quality. As technology advances, the Arab states also move towards their skills. And how many times can we bomb a reactor in Iraq, especially when it will be not only Iraq but Pakistan... and others who will soon join the Club of nuclear destruction?
As the reality becomes more clearly perceived, more and more of the Jewish people of faithlessness will turn in greater desperation to the camp of ‘peace.' They will take the path of more concessions as the only way to ‘peace.'
The nations will be panic-stricken — socially, economically, and politically. Destruction and calamity will reign; the desolation will spread. At the center of it all will be Edom (the Christian world) and Ishmael (the Moslem world)...
Zechariah: "I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, the city shall be taken... and half of it (East Jerusalem, perhaps) will go into exile."
These are the realities of a state that has lost its way.
Well. All I can say is:

Amen

How much is one Jew worth?

$50 Million
Of course, the first question is, why? I think the answer is simple. If Hamas releases Shalit, Hezbollah looks bad. Added bonus, reducing Hamas dependency on Egypt and turning its loyalties to the paymaster.
And of course, $50 million in a french bank account don't hurt none.

Treason doesn't pay
The New York Times Co. reported Thursday that its third-quarter 2006 profit from continuing operations plunged 39.2%.
At the New York Times Co., 3Q operating profit was down 48% from the same period in 2005 to $20.5 million on total revenues.
The Times Co. said it earned $14 million, or 10 cents per share, compared with $23.1 milion, or 16 cents per share, in the third quarter of 2005.
Advertising revenues decreased 5.1% and circulation revenues were down 1.3%.
Of course, they'll blame everything else and anything else, but we know the truth.

Fucking French
Yeah, you read that right.
Those low-life cowardly yellow-bellied surrender monkeys sit on the border of Lebanon and close their eyes to the re-arming of Hezbollah and then they have the fucking nerve, the fucking balls, to say this:
Commanders of the French contingent of the United Nations force in Lebanon have warned that they might have to open fire if Israel Air Force warplanes continue their overflights in Lebanon, Defense Minister Amir Peretz told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday.
For crying out loud, you stupid UNIFIL soldiers are there to do a job, and that job is to enforce UN Resolution whatever the fuck number it is, you know, the one that is not only supposed to disarm Hezbollah but is also supposed to stop the re-arming of Hezbollah. Can't you figure that out, you asshole?
You shut your eyes to weapons pouring in from Syria and now you threaten Israel?
I could likely kick the French Army's collective ass with one hand tied behind my back, the stupid bastards have no business in a war zone, except as stepping stones over the border and that's just what you'll end up as if you keep this shit up.
Why don't you get the fuck out of the Middle East before you get hurt.
What a fucking joke.

Yes, you can show us your tits
I had to go all the way to the UK for this SoFla story (and the typos are theirs, not mine!):
In what might just be one of the most important legal decision in Florida's history – almost certainly more important than the ones that gave George Bush the presidency in 2000 - a court has upheld a woman's right to mount political protests by exposing her breasts.
Elizabeth Book was arrested for baring her breasts in 2004, under a law that banned acts of indecency in public, including women going topless
The law she was protesting against, of course, was the same anti-toplessness law under which she was arrested.
While the court made no judgement on the rights or wrongs of the law against women showing their breasts, it did decide that if women were showing their breasts as part of a legitimate political protest against laws banning women from showing their breasts, then they were allowed to show their breasts.
In reaching that decision, it upheld an earlier ruling from a county court that also agreed with the breast-baring.
Book's attorney heralded the topless ruling a victory for his client, who claimed that the laws were unfair as men were allowed to walk around topless, while women were not.

The Tooth Fairy
is alive and well and looking for bling in South Florida:
A man in Brevard County, Fla., told authorities that someone reached into his mouth and removed his gold teeth as he slept, according to a Brevard County Sheriff's Office report.
Investigators said they responded to a reported theft at a home located at 3424 Populatic Street in Mims, Fla., on Sunday.
The report said Bryan Osteen told officers that someone entered his bedroom and took the $80 teeth out of his mouth.
Osteen said he is a heavy sleeper and did not wake up during the incident, the report said.
He said he had friends at his home and believes one of them had something to do with the crime.
The investigation continues.

Today is the Day!
28 months. That's the price you pay when you conspire with terrorists against the United States of America.
Wild Thing reports that The Judge is a Clinton appointment. Figures.
Judge John George Koeltl:
Federal Judicial Service: Judge, U. S. District Court, Southern District of New York Nominated by William J. Clinton on April 26, 1994, to a seat vacated by Shirley Wohl Kram; Confirmed by the Senate on August 9, 1994, and received commission on August 10, 1994.
I'll be writing one last note to Judge Koeltl.
-----------------------------------
Hopefully, we have made a difference in the life of a terrorist. Thank you, all of you, who wrote letters to the judge.

Lynne "I am not a traitor" Stewart
Lynne has made her nine-page appeal to the Judge for leniency at her upcoming sentencing hearing, admitting that she broke the law but claiming "I am not a traitor" and the old standby that she was just doing her job as best as she knew how.
Except Lynne's terrorist sympathies and incinations show through, she writes of her compassion for this evil bastard who plotted against us, how she was moved to help him through compassion and understanding of his plight, and how she yearned to see him set free. Nowhere in any of her writings does Lynne Stewart any mention compassion for the victims.
“I still believe it was justifiable — but perhaps not in the way that I did it, ” Ms. Stewart said in a sober interview in a borrowed room in the Manhattan offices where she used to practice law. She was speaking of her actions in June 2000 to violate strict prison rules, known as special administrative measures, by publicizing a message from the sheik to his militant followers in Egypt.
Of course she had to admit it, after all, Lynne was recorded bragging about her skills as an actress which she used to fool the prison guards into believing she was a lawyer instead of a terrorist, saying, "I can get an award for it" which was translated to the Sheikh: "She is saying, Your Eminence, that she can get an award for acting (all three laugh).
"The September 11 terrorist attacks on America were an "armed struggle" like Hiroshima and Dresden. I have a lot of trouble figuring out why that is wrong, especially when people are placed in a position of having no other way." Lynne Stewart
"I don't have any problem with Mao or Stalin or the Vietnamese leaders or certainly Fidel locking up people they see as dangerous. Because so often, dissidence has been used by the greater powers to undermine a people's revolution." Lynne Stewart
"To rid ourselves of the entrenched, voracious type of capitalism that is in this country that perpetuates sexism and racism, I don't think that can come nonviolently." Lynne Stewart
"I don’t believe in anarchistic violence, but in directed violence. That would be violence directed at the institutions which perpetuate capitalism, racism, and sexism, and the people who are the appointed guardians of those institutions, and accompanied by popular support." Lynne Stewart
Today is the day Lynne Stewart will be sentenced for her crimes against America. Hopefully, the letters we sent asking Judge Koeltl to show no leniency to Lynne Stewart for her crimes and asking him to impose the maximum sentence allowed for plotting with terrorists will be heeded.
I say let Justice be served:

Just a suggestion...

When pigs go bad
Mrs. Robinson was out for a ride on her horse, when she was attacked by a pig. Without warning, the pig fixed her in its sights and suddenly charged at speed, spooking her horse.
"My horse spun around, started to panic and tried to run away. It then bucked, threw me and galloped off.
It was then that the pig attacked me. I got to my feet but the beast pushed me into a hedge and was trying to bite my legs.
It hurtled straight towards me at great speed. It was one of the largest pigs I have ever seen and it was a terrible experience.
It was terrifying. Ive never been attacked by anything before, let alone a pig. I didnt know how I was going to get out of the situation.
Terrifying is not a word I would use often but I can honestly say it was absolutely terrifying. This is a very dangerous pig."
Mrs Robinsons 18-year-old daughter Charlotte, a student who was riding with her at the time, said: "As soon as my mum hit the ground I knew I had to get it away from her.
"I tried to make my horse attractive to the pig and was leading it around in circles to distract it."
I wonder... how do you make a horse attractive to a pig?

The War on Drugs
Canadian troops fighting Taliban militants in Afghanistan have stumbled across an unexpected and potent enemy -- almost impenetrable forests of marijuana plants 10 feet tall.
General Rick Hillier, chief of the Canadian defense staff, said Thursday that Taliban fighters were using the forests as cover. In response, the crew of at least one armored car had camouflaged their vehicle with marijuana.
"The challenge is that marijuana plants absorb energy, heat very readily. It's very difficult to penetrate with thermal devices. ... And as a result you really have to be careful that the Taliban don't dodge in and out of those marijuana forests," he said in a speech in Ottawa, Canada.
"We tried burning them with white phosphorous -- it didn't work. We tried burning them with diesel -- it didn't work. The plants are so full of water right now ... that we simply couldn't burn them," he said.
Even successful incineration had its drawbacks.
"A couple of brown plants on the edges of some of those [forests] did catch on fire. But a section of soldiers that was downwind from that had some ill effects and decided that was probably not the right course of action," Hiller said dryly.
One soldier told him later: "Sir, three years ago before I joined the army, I never thought I'd say 'That damn marijuana'."

Dear Condi
"The Palestinian people deserve a better life ... free of the humiliation of occupation."
"I promise you my personal commitment to that goal."
Well Condi, you sure sound determined in your support of the palestinian people. Such resolve! I can't help but wonder what convinced you that they are so deserving Condi, what did they do to garner your support?
Was it the kidnapping and murder of 18 year old Eliyahu Pinchas Asheri last June? Never mind that they tried to negotiate for his life after they put a bullet through his head, surely that makes them worthy of your support.
Or was it the murder of Lt. Hanan Barak, 20, of Arad and Staff-Sgt. Pavel Slutzker, 20, both of whom were killed when terrorists from the Hamas and Popular Resistance Committees terror organizations infiltrated Israeli territory between the Kerem Shalom and Sufa crossings, by means of a tunnel dug from the Rafah area.
Or maybe it was the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit, who is still in the hands of your palestinians Condi, and suffering their tender mercies.
Maybe it was the kidnapping of two journalists who were then forced to convert to islam?
What did the palestinians do to convince you Condi, that they are so deserving? Was it the thousands of katyushas rockets that they have sent into Israeli communities over the years? The thousands of katyushas that have landed in civilian areas, schools and such?
Or perhaps it was the sweet sound of "Death to America" chanted in the streets? The celebration of 9/11? Or the government sponsored television aimed at children to blow up Israelis and Americans? What was it Condi, that moved you to support the palestinians?
Were you moved by the sight of palestinians dancing on the streets of Gaza, firing weapons? Or was it the sight of palestinians burning Gaza after Israel gave it up for peace, was it their destruction of the greenhouses? Or was it the palestinians' burning of Christian churches burned to protest the Pope's remarks earlier this year that moved you?
Maybe it was the June 2006 discovery of the burnt body of Dr. Daniel Yaakobi, 59, a doctor from Yakir in the West Bank, that convinced you. He was found in the trunk of his car near Qalqilya and your friend Abbas' Fatah Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
What makes a people deserving of such favor from you Condi? Was it the suicide bombing during the Passover holiday this year? You remember, it was at the Rosh Ha'ir shawarma restaurant, the one that killed eleven people and wounded over 60? The Islamic Jihad proudly claimed responsibility for that attack. Do you remember the victims Condi? Philip Balhasan, 45, of Ashdod; Rozalia Beseneyi, 48, and Piroşca Boda 50, of Romania; Marcel Cohen, 73, of Nice, France; Ariel Darhi, 31, of Bat Yam; Victor Erez, 60, of Givatayim; Binyamin Haputa, 47, of Lod; David Shaulov, 29, of Holon; Lily Yunes, 42, of Oranit. Lior Anidzar, 26, of Tel Aviv died of his wounds on May 13. Daniel Wultz, 16, of Weston, Florida (USA) later died from wounds he suffered in that attack. They got an American that time, is that what hardened your resolve to reward them?
Perhaps it was the humanity of your friend Abbas' Fatah party when they opened fired at the Gush Etzion junction south of Jerusalem in October of 2005. They killed Matat (Rosenfeld) Adler, 21, and her cousin, Kineret Mandel, 23, both of Carmel, and Oz Ben-Meir, 15, of Maon, and they wounded three. On the same day, another teenager was shot and seriously wounded near Eli, in Samaria.
Was it the March 2003 bombing of Egged Bus #37 by Hamas? Seventeen people were killed that day, many of them teenagers. 53 were wounded. Or was it the home invasion that occurred that same month when Rabbi Eli Horowitz, 52, and his wife Dina, 50, of Kiryat Arba, were killed and five wounded by Hamas terrorists? The terrorists disguised themselves as Jewish worshippers, infiltrated Kiryat Arba, entered the Horowitz home and murdered them while they were celebrating the Sabbath. Did that convince you that the palestinians were so deserving Condi?
The world recognizes your efforts to get hamas to work with fatah Condi, but some of us remember what happens when they do work together. Ran Baron, 23, of Tel Aviv, Dominique Caroline Hass, 29, of Tel Aviv, and Yanai Weiss, 46, of Holon, were murdered and about 60 people were wounded when a terrorist bomber blew himself up at a beachfront pub, "Mike's Place," in Tel Aviv. Fatah and Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, they carried it out as a joint operation. Is this the inspiration to encourage these two terrorist groups to work together? Maybe the inspiration was the bombing of Egged bus no. 19 at the corner of Gaza and Arlozorov streets in Jerusalem. Both the Fatah and Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, naming the bomber as Ali Yusuf Jaara, a 24-year-old Palestinian terrorist policeman from Bethlehem. Is that a good reason to support the palestinian police? Eleven people were killed and over 50 wounded on that day.
Twenty-three people were killed and over 130 wounded when a Palestinian terrorist detonated himself on a No. 2 Egged bus in Jerusalem's Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, is this what triggered you to support them?
Was it the "Truce" or "Hudna" or whatever you want to call it agreed to by Sharon and Abu Mazen that began February 8, 2005 that hardened your resolve and curried your favor? That would make perfect sense, considering what happened during the so called Truce:
Feb 25, 2005 - Five people were killed and 50 wounded Friday night, when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the Stage club on the Tel Aviv promenade at around 11:20 P.M., on the corner of Herbert Samuel and Yonah Hanavi streets. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
The victims: Yitzhak Buzaglo, 40, of Mishmar Hayarden; Aryeh Nagar, 37, of Kfar Sava; Yael Orbach, 28, of Rehovot; Ronen Reuvenov, 30, of Tel Aviv. Odelia Hubara, 26, of Jerusalem, died of her wounds on February 28.May 2, 2005 - St.-Sgt. Dan Talasnikov, 21, of Nir Galim was killed and another soldier lightly wounded in an exchange of fire during an operation to arrest wanted terrorists from the Islamic Jihad in the village of Saida, north of Tulkarem. One of the terrorists, responsible for the February 25 suicide bombing in Tel Aviv, was killed. The second terrorist was apprehended.
Mar 7, 2005 - Two Israelis are wounded by a Palestinian sniper in Hebron.
Jun 7, 2005 - Three workers were killed and five wounded when a Qassam rocket hit a packing shed in Ganei Tal, in the Gaza Strip, penetrating the building's roof and exploding indoors. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 19, 2005 - IDF NCO Sgt.-Maj. Avi Karouchi, 25, of Beersheba was killed and two soldiers were wounded in a coordinated Palestinian attack in which RPG missiles and gunfire were fired at an IDF engineering force conducting construction work on the Philadelphi route along the Israeli-Egyptian border. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 20, 2005 - Yevgeny Reider, 28 of Hermesh was killed and a 16-year old teenager was wounded in a terrorist shooting attack in the village of Baka A-Sharkiya in the northern West Bank. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 24, 2005 - Avihai Levy, 17, of Beit Hagai was killed in a drive-by terrorist shooting at a hitchhiking stop about 200 meters from the entrance to Beit Hagai, south of Hebron. Aviad Mansour, 16, of Otniel, fatally wounded in the attack, died on June 26. Three others were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 29, 2005 - Hezbollah attacks an Israeli position at Mt. Dov from across the Lebanese border, killing one and injuring three.
Jul 12, 2005 - Rachel Ben Abu, 16, of Tel Aviv; Nofar Horowitz, 16, of Tel Aviv; and Julia Voloshin, 31, of Netanya were killed and about 90 people were wounded when a suicide bomber detonated himself outside Hasharon Mall in Netanya. Anya Lifshitz, 50, of Netanya, who was mortally wounded, succumbed to her wounds on July 13. Cpl. Moshe Maor Jan, 21, of Netanya died of his wounds on July 14. The bomber was identified as Ahmed Abu Khalil, 18, from the West Bank village of Atil. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jul 14, 2005 - Dana Gelkovitch, 22, of Kibbutz Bror Hayil, was killed by a Qassam rocket fired at Netiv Ha'asara in the northern Gaza Strip. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah all claimed responsibility for the attack.
The world was determined to kick the Jews out of Gaza for peace and that worked, didn't it? Your palestinians destroyed the oasis in the desert built by Israelis, burning it to the ground, and what they didn't burn, they tore apart with their bare hands. The number of rockets and mortar shells on Israeli targets sharply increased after Israel gave up Gaza for peace, with 130 attacks from January through July of 2005, the eve of the expulsion. After Israel gave up Gaza for peace, 179 rockets rained down on Israel over the following five months. And many of them came from Gaza. But that's not all the palestinians accomplished after getting Gaza:
Jul 23, 2005 - Dov, 58, and Rachel Kol, 53, of Jerusalem were killed shortly after midnight on Saturday night near the Kissufim crossing in the southern Gaza Strip while returning home from visiting family in Gush Katif. Three others were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Aug 3, 2005 - Palestinian terrorists fire a rocket at a group of Israeli demonstrators in Sderot. The missile hits their own group instead, killing a 3-year-old boy and injuring nine others, including five children.
Aug 24, 2005 - Shmuel Mett, 21, of Britain, a Mir Yeshiva student, was returning from the Western Wall to the yeshiva in Jerusalem’s Beit Yisrael neighborhood when he was fatally stabbed near Jaffa Gate in the Old City. Two other students were wounded.
Aug 28, 2005 - A Fatah terrorist detonated a suicide bomb in Beersheba, eight Israelis are hospitalized, including two guards that were seriously wounded.
Sept 21, 2005 - Sasson Nuriel, 55, of Jerusalem was kidnapped and slain by Palestinian terrorists. His body was found on Sept 26 in a garbage dump in the industrial zone of Bitunya, west of Ramallah. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
Oct 16, 2005 - Matat (Rosenfeld) Adler, 21, and her cousin, Kineret Mandel, 23, both of Carmel, and Oz Ben-Meir, 15, of Maon were killed and three were wounded when Palestinians opened fire at the Gush Etzion junction south of Jerusalem. Another teenager was shot and seriously wounded near Eli, in Samaria. The Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for both attacks.
Oct 26, 2005 - Six people were killed and 55 wounded, six seriously, in a suicide bombing at the Hadera open-air market. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims: Michael Kaufman, 68, of Hadera; Pirhiya Machlouf, 53, of Hadera; Sabiha Nissim, 66, of Moshav Ahituv; Jamil Qa'adan, 48, of Baka al-Gharbiya; and Ya'acov Rahmani, 68, of Hadera. A sixth victim, Genia Poleis, 66, of Hadera, died of her wounds 11 days later, on November 5.
Nov 2, 2005 - St.-Sgt. Yonatan Evron, 20, of Rishon Lezion, was mortally wounded in a gun battle with terrorists near Jenin. He died en route to hospital.
Nov 21, 2005 - Eleven Israeli soldiers and one civilian are injured by a Hezbollah attack in Metulla, Northern Israel..
Dec 5, 2005 - Five people were killed and over 50 wounded in a suicide bombing at the entrance to the Sharon shopping mall in Netanya. The terrorist detonated the bomb when he was stopped by security guards, one of whom was killed. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims: Haim Amram, 26, of Netanya, a security guard at the mall; Alexandra Garmitzky, 65, of Netanya; Daniel Golani, 45, of Nahariya; Elia Rosen, 38, of Bat Hefer; and Keinan Tsuami, 20, of Petah Tikva.
Dec 8, 2005 - Sgt. Nir Kahane, 20, of Kiryat Tivon, was stabbed to death at the Kalandiya checkpoint, south of Ramallah. The assailant was apprehended. The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Dec 16, 2005 - Yosef (Yossi) Shok, 35, of Beit Hagai was killed in a shooting attack while driving home in the southern Hebron hills. Two passengers were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed joint responsibility for the attack.
Dec 29, 2005 - Lt. Ori Binamo, 21, of Nesher was killed when a terrorist en route to carry out an attack in Israel detonated himself at roadblock set up near Tulkarm following an intelligence tip. Two Palestinians were also killed, one the taxi driver who was carrying the bomber. Three soldiers and seven Palestinians were wounded.
How wonderful that you have hardened your resolve to support the palestinian people in their goals. Except, by helping them to acheive their goals and by rewarding the palestinians for their actions, by even speaking of rewarding them for their actions, you encourage them to more of the same. Remember Condi, because of this, because of your support of the palestinians in their quest to kill the Jews, because you promise them rewards for doing so, you are responsible for the end result of your efforts. And we all know what the end result will be.
More of this.

"Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidst the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea."
Amen
The bombing of the USS Cole was a deliberate act of war by al-Qaeda, and it went ignored and unavenged by the Clinton Administration. I'm sure he pointed his finger as he said "If, as it now appears, this was an act of terrorism, it was a despicable and cowardly act. We will find out who was responsible and hold them accountable." Except he did nothing.
On November 3, 2002, under the Bush Administration, the CIA fired a AGM-114 Hellfire missile from a Predator UAV at a vehicle carrying Abu Ali al-Harithi, a suspected planner of the bombing plot. Also in the vehicle was Ahmed Hijazi, a U.S. citizen. Both were killed. This operation was carried out on Yemeni soil.
On September 29, 2004, a Yemeni judge sentenced Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri and Jamal al-Badawi to death for their roles in the bombing. Al-Nashiri, believed to be the operation's mastermind, is currently being held by the U.S. at an undisclosed location. Al-Badawi, in Yemeni custody, denounced the verdict as "an American one." Four others were sentenced to prison terms of five to 10 years for their involvement, including one Yemeni who had videotaped the attack.
On February 3, 2006, 23 suspected or convicted Al-Qaeda members escaped from jail in Yemen. This number included 13 who were convicted of the USS Cole bombings and the bombing of the French tanker Limburg in 2002. Among those who reportedly escaped was Al-Badawi. For more on this, please read this article on the escape by Jane Novak, of Armies of Liberation.
And Clinton is still pointing his finger.

The Great Pretender talks tough with Maher... about killing the President of the United States. Yeah, sure, and tell us its a joke later.
Do us a favor Johnny Boy, go for another run in '08, it would guarantee us another four years and the only thing better than kicking your ass in '04 would be to do it again in '08.

Telling it like it is
You won't see this on TV:
It was deemed "too hot" by GOP strategists all across Washington, DC and they have refused to use it! Too bad!
I found it at Theodore's World.

Guard the Borders Blogburst
By Diane of Diane's Stuff, via Third World County
As I’ve said countless times on my own blog, I am not a very political animal. I have my opinions on things of a political nature but I rarely express them, and I very seldom post on anything political because I don’t feel as if I’m well enough informed on particular issues. I do have an opinion on whether or not there should be a fence along the border between Mexico and the States, and it has always seemed like a very good idea to me.
Living in Texas I see a lot of illegals and every time I see someone that’s clearly Hispanic in front of me in the grocery store, paying for their food with a LoneStar Card (plastic food stamps) or presenting a WIC form, I have to wonder how much of that is going to sustain illegal cousins, brothers, aunts, uncles, etc. I’m not naive enough to think that the only nationality that can use our Southern borders as a crossing is Mexican, but let’s be honest here for a minute; aren’t they the main concern?

Happy Columbus Day!
Bet ya didn't realize that Christopher Columbus was the world's very first democrat. Yup.

Really, consider this: Christopher Columbus had no idea where he was going, when he got there, he had no idea where he was, so he went home not knowing where he had been. And he did it all on government money!
Later, he was credited for doing what he did not do for Columbus was not the first to discover America, nor was he the first European to land at America. In fact, that Columbus never even saw North America.
However, Columbus was the first to exploit, enslave and slaughter the Arawak Indians of Haiti, and syphilis was introduced into Europe by his crew.
So. A democrat for sure!

They'll be coming for me soon
YouTube is slowly but surely cleaning out those of us who are Anti-Jihad, Anti-Terrorist, Pro-America and Pro-Israel.
I guess they'll be coming for me soon, as I'm told that "Three Days in Israel" is on You Tube's video "hit" list.

Amen

Ten days and counting...
Please, pick up your pen and help lock up those amongst us who would aid terrorists in their quest to destroy us.
Please, pick up your pen and help send a message that America will not tolerate traitors amongst us! If you think you can't make a difference, you can! If you think you can't help punish those who would plot with our enemies against us, you can. But you have to do it now.
You have ten days, this is your last chance to make a difference in this case. Please, pick up your pen!
BACKGROUND:
Throughout her legal career, Lynne Stewart has represented terrorists, both domestic and international. From the notorious Weatherman of the 1960s to the islamic terrorists who bombed the World Trade Center in the 1990s, Lynne Stewart has made a career out of representing and supporting those who are sworn to destroy our Country.
On February 10, 2005, Lynne Stewart was convicted of helping terrorists by smuggling messages of violence from one of her imprisoned clients -- a radical Egyptian sheik -- to his terrorist disciples on the outside.
Lynne Stewart was convicted of providing material support, through a press conference and allowing access by her translator, to a terrorist conspiracy to kill persons outside of the United States and conspiring to defraud the U.S. government when acting as counsel to Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind Egyptian cleric who was convicted in 1996 of plotting terrorist attacks against various sites in the New York City area. Finally caught in the snares of justice, Lynne Stewart is now facing sentencing for her crimes, and your help is needed to be sure she receives the maximum sentence allowable by law.

No where does she mention compassion for his victims.
Yes Lynne. The September 11 terrorist attacks on America were what any rational thinking person would consider to be an act of war against of America, and you helped it happen.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. This woman is truly an enemy of America. In her own words:
"I don't have any problem with Mao or Stalin or the Vietnamese leaders or certainly Fidel locking up people they see as dangerous. Because so often, dissidence has been used by the greater powers to undermine a people's revolution." Lynne Stewart
Lynne, I don't have any problem with the United States of America locking you up and locking you down too, with no outside communication with anyone for any reason, for the rest of your miserable life. In fact, I'm gonna help them do it. You are a terrorist Lynne, and you are dangerous. You should be incarcerated for life, and, I think you should pay for your incarceration out of your own personal private funds, saving the taxpayers the cost of your three hots and a cot.
and during her trial:
"To rid ourselves of the entrenched, voracious type of capitalism that is in this country that perpetuates sexism and racism, I don't think that can come nonviolently." Lynne Stewart
What America really needs, Lynne, is to rid itself of the entrenched voracious type of leftist thinking that perpetuates terrorism against Americans. You are the problem Lynne, not the solution.
"I don’t believe in anarchistic violence, but in directed violence. That would be violence directed at the institutions which perpetuate capitalism, racism, and sexism, and the people who are the appointed guardians of those institutions, and accompanied by popular support." Lynne Stewart
Ya know Lynne, the more I get to know you, the more I think that I could support a bit of violence directed towards you in the form of capital punishment. In fact, I think the case could be made that incarceration is not the proper punishment for the terrorist that you are and that perhaps something a little more final might be appropriate. And, I think at least 61 million rational, thinking Americans would provide the requisite popular support for such a notion.
NO LENIENCY - LOCK HER UP AND LOCK HER DOWN!
ON OCTOBER 16, 2006, LYNNE STEWART WILL BE SENTENCED. JUDGE KOELTL VOWS "NO FURTHER ADJOURNMENTS" FOR THIS EVENT.
YOU CAN HELP BE SURE THAT LYNNE RECEIVES THE MAXIMUM SENTENCE ALLOWED FOR HER CRIMES AGAINST AMERICA.
The sentencing is now set for October 16, 2006 and we can help lock Lynne up for life by writing the Judge and asking him to show no leniency to Lynne Stewart for her crimes and asking him to impose the maximum sentence allowed for plotting with terrorists.
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
The Judge's address is:
Honorable John G. Koeltl
United States District Judge
Southern District of New York
United States Courthouse
500 Pearl Street
New York, New York 10007Briefly say who you are and discuss yourself - your position in work and in society. State that you are aware that Lynne is to be sentenced following a jury verdict of guilty on charges of crimes against America. Tell the Judge why you believe she should be made an example of, and not given any leniency whatsoever. Feel free to remind the Judge of who she is by using the quotes above.
Send a copy of your letter to the lawyers who prosecuted Lynn, so they can present them all to the Judge at sentencing time, they will have the maximum impact as he considers the matter:
Joseph E. Bianco, Esq.
Christopher T. Morvillo, Esq.
Assistant United States Attorneys
Southern District of New York
United States Attorney's Office
One St. Andrews Plaza
New York, NY 10007
This is your chance to raise your voice and be heard!
I say let Justice be served:

Just a suggestion...

Misunderstanding Moslems
England's police chief has ordered an 'urgent inquiry' after a Muslim police officer refused duty at the Israeli Embassy in London.
PC Alexander Omar Basha - a member of the Metropolitan Police's Diplomatic Protection Group - refused to be posted there because he objected to Israeli bombings in Lebanon and the resulting civilian casualties of fellow Muslims.
The officer, who carries a gun, is now thought to be guarding another embassy.
I sure hope he isn't posted at the American Embassy.
The Israeli Embassy has been attacked by moslems before, and threat of islamic terrorism is believed to have increased after the recent conflict with Lebanon. Considering that Basha has already demonstrated his own terrorist sympathies and inclinations by taking part in pro- hezbollah demonstrations, perhaps an 'urgent inquiry' into what Basha knows is appropriate.
Meanwhile, the moslem community issues the usual denials:
PC Nadeem Malik, an executive committee member of the Association of Muslim Police, said: "There are around 300 Muslim staff working in the Met and a number of Muslim police working in the diplomatic protection group who do not have problem covering the Israeli Embassy.
"These officers are Londoners, and Met police officers first and foremost."
No they're not Malik. They're moslems first and foremost, as Basha has shown us.
A senior source in the Metropolitan Police Federation said: 'We are expected to serve people without fear or favour. You treat them according to their needs whether you agree with their political or religious views or not.
Unless they're moslems who support terrorists. Then you have to treat them according to their needs, according to their political or religious views. You have to look the other way, turn the other cheek, bow and scrape and try to understand their feelings. And, you have to make excuses for their anti-social behavior, preferably excuses that lay the blame on you:
Richard Barnes, a Tory member of the Metropolitan Police Authority, accused senior officers of lacking tact.
He said: "I think it was crass management in the first place. They should have recognised there could have been a problem and not suggested this officer be posted at this embassy.
That's what a good dhimmi does.
"If they can allow this, surely they'll have to accept a Jewish officer not wanting to work at an Islamic national embassy? Will Catholic cops be let off working at Protestant churches?" - Ex-Met Flying Squad commander John O'Connor
Don't be silly John. Jews and Catholics are not moslems, and they don't strap bombs around themselves to kill innocent people in search of some perverted sexual heaven. They don't attack embassies. Its the moslems who do these things.
Here we have a moslem police officer who openly supports a terrorist group, and refuses duty at a known target for moslem terrorism. Instead of investigating him, the Met will investigate his supervisors to find out where PC went wrong.
Meanwhile... Viva la France!
"We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists. This is not a question of urban violence any more, it is an intifada, with stones and Molotov cocktails. You no longer see two or three youths confronting police, you see whole tower blocks emptying into the streets to set their 'comrades' free when they are arrested."
Welcome to Eurabia.

About November 7
The Emporer has a most excellent thread going about the November 7 elections. If you read my post here, then you know I have been struggling. The struggle is not about who to vote for, because if I vote, it will be for republicans. I will never vote democrat. The struggle was whether to vote at all.
I read every word on that thread, and I carefully considered every opinon. They were varied, and I found that I was not the only one struggling this year.
In 2001, I said I didn’t care if President Bush bankrupted this country to fight this war, I meant it then, and I still mean it. If we give up over there, our enemies will come here sure as the Good Lord made apples. Thank G-d for our Military and those who serve. But I also believe our enemies are here already, and plotting against us. And I believe their numbers are growing.
At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy nut, I also believe that there have been attempts and incidents. For example, a couple of years ago, they closed a concourse here at Miami International. People were getting violently sick. Eventually, they reported that it was the result of a cleaning fluid spill and it was only reported on the local news level. No big deal, until you find out that right about the same time, the same thing happened in Texas and the same reason was given. No big deal if you knew about one, but when you know about both, you wonder.
So, our ports are important and so are our railways. Immigration is critical, if we survive the islamic threat, our immigration policies will destroy this country in 50 years anyway.
Still, I have decided that on November 7th, I will go out and vote for republicans.
I will vote for the republicans who allow our enemy to control our ports and our railways. I will vote for republicans who continue to allow us to be overwhelmed by immigrants and who will give them amnesty and tax breaks. I will vote for republicans who make alliances with terrorists.
And while I do that, I will tell myself that the democrats would be worse for this country.
But what I really think is that the only difference between the two is that with the democrats, our worst nightmare will only happen faster. Sooner rather than later.
And maybe thats good enough, if we have more time, maybe something will happen that will change our fate. I hope so.
And in the meantime, I guess I will load up on the ammo, maybe buy a new rifle, go to the range more and pray more.
G-d Bless America!

This is a MUST SEE video for anyone interested in the immigration debate, whether you are a citizen, a legal immigrant, an illegal alien or a Congressman. This clip is from the longer video, Immigration by the Numbers, and features Roy Beck of NumbersUSA demonstrating the catastrophe of unrestricted immigration by Third World people into our nation. He uses standard statistics and simple gumballs to show this disaster in the making.
This video is very short - only 17 minutes total - don't miss it! Even if you think you know what our future looks like, this video will shock you!

Out of Options
10/03/06 UPDATE: Of course, I posted this before Frist opened his dhimmi mouth, and what he said just proves my point. I have to agree with e-Claire, she says it better than I could and, yes, a tomato sandwich sounds good right about now.
