I'm not entirely sure what I wrote, either, as I bombed out of French in high school. My teacher tried to convince me that giving liberation to Algeria was a good idea and so I slept through the semester. l'homme Francais=Frenchman, I assume (and based on his "uniform," it's a solid bet I'm right). Ribbet! Ribbet!
