Kindred Thoughts

I visit Shining Full Plate and a Full Broadsword several times a week, looking for enlightenment. After a month's worth of silence, Sir Banagor has penned a piece called Exasperated. I devoured it this morning with my coffee.

I am pissed off, you see. I’m pissed off because I’m tired of listening to the wonders of the Arab world, if only they were given a chance with freedom. I’m not buying it. We’ve been burned before. Remember Iraq? I was one of the few people who came out and wrote that it was about the oil, in part, but it was also about breaking the back of the Muslim world before anything else. And I was one of the few people who said on my side that democracy mattered less to me than defeating them first. I’m all for democracy, after we defeat them. And by defeat them, I mean unconditional surrenders of entire nations, Imams, and whatever else passes for authority in that decaying swamp of religious and fascistic despotism.

Here we are, three and a half years after the Iraq war, and we’re still fighting this crap. I’m not going to put this entirely on Bush because it isn’t entirely his fault. He’s to blame for some of it, but our entire collective societies are to blame as well. We’re too fucking soft for our own good. We think, for some unknown reason, that the way to succeed in the world is to have universal love and adoration. What we don’t appear to understand is that nobody loves you, or anyone else, in the world. It’s a cold and hard world out there. It has always been this way. That’s what is called nature. This should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone out there trying to make it in the business world, or even politics. But, some time ago, we figured that when it comes to getting power and using it, different rules would apply.

What a dumbass mistake that was.

Amen! (I know, funny thing to say to an atheist but... well, Amen!)

We’ve been burned in Iraq because we don’t understand this basic point: before you can rebuild an enemy, you have to defeat them. I’ll explain for those whose minds are reeling right about now with the novelty of this idea: we’re not fighting Iraq, guys. We blew up the Iraqi army and disbanded it. That isn’t our problem. We didn’t go to Iraq just to take out Saddam’s army. In fact, we said we weren’t aiming to just take out his army. We, in fact, told them to stand aside and that they wouldn’t get shot at if they did. We did this in a deliberate attempt to show that we are not out to get the Iraqi army, or mostly anyone else’s army.

So, for those brainless fools out there who still don’t understand: if we’re not fighting the Iraqi army, then what the hell are we fighting?

Well, we’re fighting Islam. I’m sorry to say it, but it’s true. We’re fighting the entire Islamic world. Before anyone suggests a comment along the lines of “Not all Muslims are terrorists”, I’ll say that I agree - not all of them are. But according to all the deaths on the ground, one hell of a lot of them are. And since we’re fighting something over in Iraq, and it isn’t Saddam’s army, I’d say it’s high time we recognize what the hell we are doing over there.

It's a long read, what I've posted here is just the tip of the iceberg, but if you want to be enlightened, take the time to read every word.

Stunning read for anyone who hasn't yet summoned the cojones to face reality in the face and acknowledge what our true enemy is: a death cult! They know they can't win militarily, so they use their birth rates and entryism to corrode western civilization from the inside. But take heart; unlike the author (whom I admire for his frankness and willingness to call a spade a spade), I truly believe that Western society will soon get fed up with the accommodation and pandering and drop the kidd gloves once and for all. And I also predict the word "Democrat" showing up in the dictionary as "a self-defeating political mentality that faded into oscurity when western society put the muzzies where they belong." I look forward to it!
