The Price of Pork

If you want to know what we'll get if the Democrats take over, you really have to look at what they propose... and what they propose is 90 time more pork on useless and stupid socialist crap.

The nonpartisan National Taxpayers Union has the facts on spending:

* Potential Democratic Chairmen in the House of Representatives propose to spend over 90 times what their Republican counterparts propose. The average Democratic Chairman has a net annual agenda that would increase spending by $931 billion, compared to an average net agenda for a Republican Chairman of only $10 billion (even if the GOP retains control, new Chairs would be named due to retirements and term limits).

* In the Senate, the numbers are far lower, yet potential Democratic Chairmen still have endorsed over $40 billion in new outlays, in contrast with $12 billion for potential Republican Chairmen.

Will Franklin destroys the myth of a Republican Congress engaging in out-of-control spending: Would-be Democratic committee chairs have proposed, on average, 90 times the spending their Republican counterparts have proposed. Read it, and VOTE!

If you're sitting this one out to send a message, the only message the American media will hear is that you are ready for a left-wing agenda, with higher taxes and much higher spending, in this country.

I've voted already, all against the pinkos who hide under the Democrat banner. Call them what you will, Liberals, Socialists but they're all Communist at heart.

This is due to the fact that the Democrats were in the minority party. Not that I think Democrats would cut spending either, they are spend-a-holics just like the Republicans. For the minority party to get pork to their district they have to propose a lot of stuff an see what they can convince the majority party to accept as politically damaging to vote against. You will see these numbers switch if the Democrats take control.

If you want to make statements like that Talmadge, you need to back that up with hard evidence. Otherwise, we have to assume you have a crystal ball.

Sorry, but you guys are the party of higher taxes and increased social services.

Can't deny that.

Linda is correct. LBJ started the "Great Society" and "War against Poverty".
