Remembering Rachel

On March 16, 2003, in the town of Rafah in southern Gaza, Rachel Corrie, 23, an "international peace protester," dropped to her knees in front of an Israeli bulldozer during an IDF anti-terrorism action. She was squished flat, and therefore shall forever be known as St. Pancake.

On the anniversary of her squishing, rather than think about a stupid, brainwashed, terrorist apologist, I'll spend the day thinking about a few other Rachels, all of whom were murdered by the palestinian terrorists who were Rachel Corrie's friends:

Rachel Thaler, 16, was enjoying dinner with her
14-year old brothers and friends at an Israeli
pizzeria when a palestinian bomber detonated
himself at the restaurant.

Rachel Levi, 19, murdered when a Palestinian
rammed a bus into a crowded Israel bus stop,
killing Rachel and five others on February 14, 2001.

Rachel Levy, 17, was a high-school student
who was killed when a Palestinian suicide
bomber detonated herself at an Israeli supermarket.
Her death came on the heels of the death of Rachel's
cousin one month earlier in a terrorist shooting.

Rachel Charhi, 36, was killed when a
Palestinian terrorist detonated himself in a
café in Israel on April 4, 2002.

Rachel Gavish, 50, was murdered by a Palestinian
terrorist who infiltrated her home in Israel,
shooting dead Rachel, her husband David,
her son and Rachel's father.

Rachel Kol, 53, who worked for 20 years
in the neurology lab at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital,
was murdered with her husband in a drive-by shooting by the Fatah.

Rachel Ben Abu, 16, killed with her teenage friends by a suicide
bomber at the Netanya shopping mall, in July 2005 (in the midst
of a supposed Palestinian truce)

Rachel Shabo, 40, (top right) and three of her sons
were murdered on June 20, 2002 when a Palestinian
terrorist entered the family home and opened fire.

If you want the truth about Rachel Corrie's death, The Rachel Corrie Round-up is here, and here is a list of other murders by Rachel Corrie's friends.

From Naomi Ragen

Friends,

Who can forget David Hatuel, the young father from Gush Katif whose beautiful wife Tali and four beautiful daughters were murdered in cold blood by a Palestinan terrorist, who opened fire on the pregnant mother and her four little girls, killing them all as they sat in their car?

Tali Hatuel, with her daughters.

As we think back on the events of the Intifada, so many horrors, nevertheless this stands out in our minds as the ultimate expression of barbarity from our enemies, and the ultimate challenge to our strength to continue our lives in the land of our forefathers.

David, quiet, modest, said that he had two choices: To disintegrate and fall, or to live. He chose life. A year ago, he remarried. Today, 37 year-old David holds in his arms another baby girl, born of his second marriage to Limor, an occupational therpist.

This is the ultimate answer we Jews have to give our enemies. This is our secret, why we are still here when so many other peoples have become extinct. It is David Hatuel's answer: choose life. Rebuild.

May God bless him and his wife and child with every blessing known to mankind. My he and his kind flourish and prosper, and give example to the rest of mankind.

And may our enemies, who choose death and destruction, reap what they sow.

St. Pancake...FABULOUS!

Palestinians are lucky not to be dealing
with us...

By now, we'd be sucking the marrow off their bones,
this being the only useful purpose of a muslim.

Carry on, girl, when all Jews are like you,
there will be no problem with the rats of allah,
(piss be upon him.)

Well presented Linda. It's amazing that my countrymen think that I should treat those barabaric Islamists as equals, it will be a cold day in hell when I do. St. Pancake, Bwahahaha!!! If you sleep with jackals expect to get fleas.

Good riddance rachel Corrie, useful idiot to murdering swine.

LindaSoG, Thank you for this meaningful & impactful post. You enable me to to increasingly get my head & heart around the problems that Israel & her people are facing. You also enabled me to put St. Pancake's idiot beliefs & actions into realistic perspective. Presenting this obit gallery of murdered Rachels with Tali & her daughters not only stuns me to the core of my soul, but personalizes each & every one of these women for me. Not fun, but I appreciate what you're doing. You make a difference, LindaSoG, & I thank you. Shalom

Rather, may your enemies turn from their sin that they may live.

Linda, I saw this at Sondra's and it tugged at me. The horrible enemies of America and Israel that we are only half heartedly fighting, killing innocent non-combatants. Obviously I am not prone to ulcers or I would be infested with them. You did this post very well and it will stick in my mind for a long time.

Outstanding and a crucial post......for those who would see clearly and the murderous mediabot drones who's only purpose is lying and trying to steal the hearts of humanity......for they know no power!

What a great and strong point you have made here Linda. I saw a MEMRI vid about two young children being questioned about their (deceased) sucide bomber mother and if they wanted to be like her becasue she killed Jews. They said yes. And people actually think there is going to be peace with the Arabs and Israel. There will only be peace when they accept who Israel is and as Golda Mier said "Peace will come only when Palestinians love their children more than they hate Jews."

Beautiful and heart-wrenching post, thanks. The last raises the specter of almost unimaginable anguish, though I am sure that fuller details of what all the survivors have endured would be similar. I do fell a tinge of pity for Rachael Corrie; her parents poisoned her mind from very early on.

Being from the Seattle area I celebrate the fact that she was killed in the Middle East instead of coming back to America and becoming a suicide bomber as she probably would have.

Many lives were saved that day. Perhaps those of my friends and family.

Thank you Israel for dealing with this piece of human trash. We owe you one.

By the way, did you know she advocated the killing of Hippies?

Linda,

That's a beautiful post honoring some of the wonderful people we've lost to the Terrorists.

We remember and will never forget.
