What's wrong with this picture?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 31) - An Iraq war veteran could lose his honorable discharge status after being photographed wearing fatigues at an anti-war protest.

Marine Cpl. Adam Kokesh and other veterans marked the fourth anniversary of the war in Iraq in April by wearing their uniforms - with military insignia removed - and roaming around the nation's capital on a mock patrol.

After Kokesh was identified in a photo cutline in The Washington Post, a superior officer sent him a letter saying he might have violated a rule prohibiting troops from wearing uniforms without authorization.

Kokesh, a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War, responded with an obscenity.

Now, a military panel has been scheduled to meet with Kokesh on Monday to decide whether his discharge status should be changed from "honorable" to "other than honorable."

What he did was certainly other than honorable, in fact, it was down right dishonorable:

And before you liberals start screaming about how unfair all this is... read the article and note:

Kokesh is part of the Individual Ready Reserve, a segment of the reserves that consists mainly of those who have left active duty but still have time remaining on their eight-year military obligations.

Kokesh is still under obligation to United States Marines, and he dishonored his uniform, and he was disrespectful to an officer. Doing what he did while wearing his uniform was against the rules, but then, violating the rules seems to come natural to Kokesh, considering he was demoted from sergeant to corporal and not allowed to redeploy to Iraq after it was learned that he brought a pistol back after his first tour in 2004.

There is a little poll at the link, asking whether you think he should lose his honorable discharge status for his dishonorable conduct.

I voted Yes on the poll, but only because there was no option to vote Hell Yes.

Let's hope John Murtha is next.

Let the games begin

Its gonna be one hell of an election year!

Rep. Cynthia McKinney, Georgia Democrat, may seek the Green Party nomination. She was interviewed Friday on New York radio station WBAI:

"You know, I have on my kitchen table, I have a button that was printed in 2000. And it was printed by the Green Party, they were talking about me running as a Green. So I have had a very long relationship with the Green Party. And I think, honestly, with the failure of the Democratic majority in Congress to repeal the PATRIOT Act, to repeal the Secret Evidence Act, to repeal the Military Tribunals Act, to not institute immediately actions of impeachment against this illegitimate, illegal and immoral administration, stop the war, I have to seriously question my relationship with the Democratic Party. I know that the very learned listeners of WBAI have long been interested in how to have a truly independent voice. I understand now that with the current Democratic majority in Congress that's not possible. ....

So, you know, 2008 has not been ruled out, some kind of effort. Certainly now it is questionable as to whether that effort would come under the banner of the Democratic Party. There's no way that with the current crop of candidates who are all supporting a military action against Iran and who none of them support impeachment. They can not speak for me any longer."

Yep. That's what she said.

They let them go to maintain some ridiculous PC standard forced upon us by the lunatic left fringe. It took them three years to admit it.

Unless and until we recognize the enemy for who it is, what it is and where it is, we are sheep being led to the slaughter.

These are the faces of 177 Jews, all of whom were murdered by palestinian terrorists after the terrorists were released from Israeli prisons.

In Israel only Nazis are eligible for the death penalty, a truly stupid policy when you consider the number of Nazis in Israel as against the number of terrorists.

Its a witch hunt!


Ahem....

Climate change will be considered a joke in five years time, meteorologist Augie Auer told the annual meeting of Mid Canterbury Federated Farmers in Ashburton this week.

Man's contribution to the greenhouse gases was so small we couldn't change the climate if we tried, he maintained.

"We're all going to survive this. It's all going to be a joke in five years," he said.

"It is time to attack the myth of global warming," he said.

Water vapour was responsible for 95 per cent of the greenhouse effect, an effect which was vital to keep the world warm, he explained.

"If we didn't have the greenhouse effect the planet would be at minus 18 deg C but because we do have the greenhouse effect it is plus 15 deg C, all the time."

The other greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide, and various others including CFCs, contributed only five per cent of the effect, carbon dioxide being by far the greatest contributor at 3.6 per cent.

However, carbon dioxide as a result of man's activities was only 3.2 per cent of that, hence only 0.12 per cent of the greenhouse gases in total. Human-related methane, nitrogen dioxide and CFCs etc made similarly minuscule contributions to the effect: 0.066, 0.047 and 0.046 per cent respectively.

"That ought to be the end of the argument, there and then," he said.

"We couldn't do it (change the climate) even if we wanted to because water vapour dominates."

"The Greens are really going to go after you because you put out 49 per cent of the countries emissions. Does anybody ask 49 per cent of what? Does anybody know how small that number is?

"It's become a witch-hunt; a Salem witch-hunt," he said.

To most of us, its already a joke.

I have my own Memorial Day Message for those of you who support John Edwards:

You cannot support the troops without supporting the mission, and John Edwards does neither. He is a traitor to this country. Appeasement of terrorism will bring nothing but more terrorism. By their words and deeds, the democrats are lending support to the terrorists who target our troops.

The single greatest danger to the United States of America is not the terrorists, the United States Military will kick their asses into dust! No, the single greatest danger to the United States of America is the traitors who call themselves democrats, those who believe in appeasement and surrender to evil.

If you give your support to these crazy bastards, you too are supporting terrorism and you guarantee that terrorism will come to this land. You endanger not only our soldiers by encouraging those who would target them, but you also put the lives of every single American citizen on the line, including your own life and the lives of your loved ones.

The terrorists rejoice every single time a democrat opens his big mouth and advocates surrender.

I support the United States Military and the brave men and women who fight for this country. I remember and I honor the brave men and women who gave their all for freedom.

Meet Chief Warrant Officer Jim Funk

He has something to say to the media:

"Hello media, do you know you indirectly kill American soldiers every day? You inspire and report the enemy's objective every day. You are the enemy's greatest weapon. The enemy cannot beat us on the battlefield so all he does is try to wreak enough havoc and have you report it every day. With you and the enemy using each other, you continually break the will of the American public and American government.

"We go out daily and bust and kill the enemy, uncover and destroy huge weapons caches and continue to establish infrastructure. So daily we put a whoopin on the enemy, but all the enemy has to do is turn on the TV and get re-inspired. He gets to see his daily roadside bomb, truck bomb, suicide bomber or mortar attack. He doesn't see any accomplishments of the U.S. military (FOX, you're not exempt, you suck also).

"We, the soldiers, keep breaking the back of the enemy. You, the media, keep rejuvenating the enemy.

The Insanity Continues

In Sderot, 36 year old Oshri Oz was killed this morning after a rocket landed near his car. Wounded in the neck by shrapnel, he lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a wall and staggered into the street before collapsing. He died on the way to the hospital, leaving behind his pregnant wife and a 2-year-old daughter.

In retaliation, the IDF dropped a few bombs on Gaza this week, killing a few innocent terrorists before they could shoot a few rockets into Israel and to the dismay of the U.S. State Department, arrested a few hammasshole politicians.

"Arrests are better than shooting," said Israel's Defense MinisterAmir Peretz, as rockets continue to rain down on Israeli civilians.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said the arrests were a blow to peace efforts, as his al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade claimed responsibility for another terror attack in Jerusalem over the weekend.

and a spokesman for PA Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh demanded the immediate release of the detainees and called on the UN and European Union to impose sanctions on Israel, while the BBC journalists redefine the definition of "several" in reporting of the IDF strike on Gaza:

"Israel resumed airstrikes on Gaza on Tuesday after a six-month lull. It followed several rocket attacks on Israel."

The "six month lull" refers to a lull in Israel's "attacks" on Gaza, and not the firing of rockets into Israel, which occurs on daily basis, but you wouldn't know that from reading the BBC article; and, considering that a total of 22 rockets landed in or near Sderot just this weekend and a total of 170 rockets just this week, "several" seems a bit understated to me, but then, we are talking about Israel, aren't we?

Israel, where terrorists are freedom fighters supported and protected by the United States of America as its citizens turn a blind eye.

WTF has happened to America?

"The US government is concerned with the IDF's operation in the West Bank, and the arrest of Palestinian legislators," US State Department spokesman Tom Casey said Thursday.

"Hamas is a terror organization, but we have made it clear before that arresting elected Palestinian officials is a cause for concern," Casey added.

Oh. Okay, so if the terrorists are elected to a position in government, then they are immune? Then they can continue their terrorist activities without any worries of prosecution or consequences?

So all Osama needs is to be elected to something and he's home free huh?

What a difference a campaign makes...

Giuliani's days as a crusading anti-gun mayor are behind him now that he's running for president, and Wednesday he staked out a simple test for concealed-carry permits, which are tightly controlled in New York. He asked two questions -- Are you a criminal, and have you ever been institutionalized? -- and to the laughter of the audience, rendered his verdict when she said no to both.

"As far as I am concerned, you can have a concealed weapon," he said. "The Constitution of the United States in the Second Amendment gives you an individual right to bear arms; that individual right is as strong as your individual right to free speech, free assembly, being safe against unreasonable searches and seizures."

Yadda yadda Rudy. What was it you just told Hannity...

GIULIANI: It's not only -- I mean, it's part of the Constitution. People have the right to bear arms. Then the restrictions of it have to be reasonable and sensible. You can't just remove that right. You've got to regulate, consistent with the Second Amendment.

HANNITY: How do you feel about the Brady bill and assault ban?

GIULIANI: I was in favor of that as part of the crime bill. I was in favor of it because I thought that it was necessary both to get the crime bill passed and also necessary with the 2,000 murders or so that we were looking at, 1,800, 1,900, to 2,000 murders, that I could use that in a tactical way to reduce crime. And I did.

Piss off Rudy. This weekend I'm off to Naples for a gun weekend and this time, we're using liberals for target practice. Along with Pelosi, Reid, Kerry, Kennedy, Murtha and the Clintons, I've printed up a couple of dozen of these...

I expect they'll be very popular.

Today's Anti-Semite:

Pope Shenouda of the Coptic Church:

THE LEADER of the Coptic Church, Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria told Egyptian television last month the Western Churches were wrong to exonerate Jews for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and criticised recent statements apologising for Christian anti-Semitism. In an interview with Dream 2 TV broadcast on April 8, Shenouda was asked if the Coptic Church would follow the lead of the Western Christian churches. Shenouda responded that the Christian Churches had “done nothing that warrants an apology,” adding he believed the apologies were being “done for appearance’s sake.”

Asked whether Jews were “Christ-killers”, responsible for the crucifixion, Shenouda stated, “The New Testament says that they are,” and asked rhetorically whether the Vatican was “against the teachings of the New Testament?”

Shenouda stated he had banned Copts from visiting Israel for fear they will “be influenced by the Israeli media, and we will not be able to prevent this. Who knows what ideas they will return with?”

Dueling RINOs


Referring to Romney's stance, McCain said: "Maybe I should wait a couple of weeks and see if it changes because it's changed in less than a year from his position before."

Then, with a chuckle, he made his cutting quip that referenced two embarrassing episodes for Romney in the past six months.

McCain: "Maybe his solution will be to get out his small varmint gun and drive those Guatemalans off his lawn."

Romney has faced criticism for calling himself a lifelong hunter even though he joined the National Rifle Association in August and officials in four states where he has lived said he never took out a hunting license. Defending himself, he said in April, "I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter, small varmints, if you will."

Also, The Boston Globe reported late last year that several illegal immigrants, including at least one from Guatemala, worked at the lawn care company that worked on Romney's two-and-a-half acre property in a Boston suburb for a decade. His aides have said that Romney was not aware of the workers' status, and that the owner was in the country legally.

Sigh. Sorry, but that's funny stuff.

Talk about out of touch, the man has no sense of reality.

Bend over America

The House and Congress finally got something done and no one told you about it. Buried under a media blitz about an immigration bill that isn't even written yet, lies the largest tax hike in U.S. history:

"With all the other news this week, the media barely noticed that Congressional Democrats passed a budget outline that envisions more than $200 billion in tax increases over five years."

Yes, you read that right, $200 billion over five years coming out of your pocket and you can be sure the media did notice, they just didn't tell you.

The Associated Press account never mentions tax increases. The Wall Street Journal’s headline cautiously refers to a “partial lapse of tax cuts.”

How did the vote go?

Not a single Democratic senator voted against the tax-increasing budget -- not even Nebraska's Ben Nelson, who often departs from the party line and who supported the Bush tax cuts.

and

... no Republican member voted for the budget, while 13 Democrats opposed it. Of the defectors, left-wing Rep. Dennis Kucinich voted no because he said the budget would fund President Bush's Iraqi war effort throughout his term.

Kucinich will do anything to lose the war, but still, the "budget" has been passed in both the House and Senate, and now, the only thing standing between your wallet and the Congressional pickpockets is President Bush.

It was bound to happen

With all those rockets raining down every day on homes and schools and shops, it was a miracle that no one had yet been killed. Just this past week, 130 rockets were fired in Sderot, and today, we ran out of miracles:

Qassam hits car near southern town's commercial center, killing Shirel Feldman, 32, and moderately wounding another man. Residents clash with police in response to attack. About 17 rockets fired from Gaza Strip since Monday morning

Residents are rioting in the streets, who can blame them? The Israeli government has turned a blind eye to the daily attacks on its people.

Today, I cannot help but remember two years ago, the day before the expulsion from Gaza, when I sat with Dr. Yitschak Ben Gad, the Consul General of Israel to Florida and Puerto Rico as he defended Sharon and the "disengagement."

On that day, we came to the Consulate seeking help for our people. The Consul General talked to us, smiled at us, shook our hands, took pictures with us, and he lied to us. I asked him, what will the government do when the rockets start and he said... we will bombard them.

And only two months ago, I again stood together with Dr. Ben Gad, and he turned to me with anger because of what was said two years ago, in that room, on that day.

Now, at the end of your term as Consulate, Dr. Ben Gad, you said to me, "The disengagement was a disaster," as if I didn't know and as if you only just found out. I was able to shoulder your anger Dr. Ben Gad, because I knew that your anger was misdirected away from yourself and projected on me, and merely the result of your shame. And you should be shamed, Dr. Ben Gad, for not standing against what you knew was wrong and for saying what you knew was not true. The consequences are that you have blood on your hands, the same blood as Olmert, and Perez. This woman is dead and so many are injured because you turned your back on what you knew was right, your turned your back on the State of Israel and you turned your back on your people. You did it for polical reasons, to keep your Consulate another two years, may Hashem forgive you.

And may Hashem forgive me for directing my anger at you.

Even as I write this, the rockets continue to fall.

My heart hurts.

Buried in an AP story about Sunnis fighting al-Qaida is this little tidbit:

"American commanders cite al-Qaida's severe brand of Islam, which is so extreme that in Baqouba, al-Qaida has warned street vendors not to place tomatoes beside cucumbers because the vegetables are different genders, Col. David Sutherland said."

Unfriggin believable, but true. What a bunch of backwards and demented freaks. Sheesh.

Eeewww... Beer!

I'm thinking I'm gonna need a Beer Porn category soon....

Something’s brewing in a garage in St. Charles. Tom Seefurth is mixing up a concoction he'll eventually pour out as beer – pizza beer.

It's pizza and beer in a bottle,” Seefurth, a self-proclaimed beer nut, says.

There are actually real pieces of pizza stirred into the mix.

The kettles and tubes of Seefurth’s tiniest of breweries all come together beside the hundreds of beer cans in his collection.

“This is a reflection of my entire life history,” he says.

Too many garden tomatoes cooked up the idea for pizza beer last year. Seeforth and his wife create a tomato garlic puree and bake up the pizza -- in the back yard they pick their own oregano for flavoring.

And back in the brewery Seefurth even grinds his own wheat to get the process started. He'll add other spices, but keeps the recipe a secret.

“The only people who know the recipe are me and my cat, Jethro,” he says.

Seefurth says the flavors of pizza and beer are a natural pairing, and the hobbyist hopes to take drink coast to coast.

In the video, they toss them slices right into the beer, I guess they grind it up later or maybe run it through a food processor or something. The guy also grinds up his grain with a homemade grinder that utilizes a power drill.

Gak! Pizza beer, mixed up in some nut's garage, hmmmm. Call me crazy, but I'm thinking that's gotta be worse than blueberry beer.

I found this

in the strangest place...

When recently asked who I thought won the first two Republican debates; I answered Fred Thompson and Newt Gingrich. They’re the only two candidates conservative enough to not be in this stupid race yet... They’re not late, the other eager beavers are early! They’re the only two not joining the chorus of ten, eager to demonstrate their lack of conservative credentials in a futile attempt to attract both conservative and liberal voters. As a result, they’re also the only candidates not losing supporters in the debates.

Like “patriot”, the moniker “American” is not assigned to an individual simply on the basis of residency or job title. We have lots of folks living in this country, both legally and illegally, who could never qualify as “Americans”, including some who wouldn’t want to, even if they could. Now we have a growing list of politicians in Washington DC that could never be accused of being “Americans” either, working around the clock to destroy the country they were elected to protect and defend, pandering to the non-American vote since all real Americans are fed up beyond voting.

Republican voters removed republicans from power in ’06 and now with democrats even lower in approval ratings than Bush or the previous republican congress, American voters are running out of options. If Bush or any other politician were half as committed to securing America as they are to securing Baghdad, both illegal immigration and homeland terrorism would already be a thing of the past. Real Americans want their borders secured, period! But clearly, no noteworthy elected Washington representative supports such an idea. You won’t find a single Washington insider of any power, from either party, working to enforce existing immigration laws on behalf of legal Americans.

If you want to hear from your elected official on the subject of immigration, you’ll have to attend a La Raza rally, where you will hear politician after politician promise civil and civic rights to illegal invaders, at odds with and at expense to, every legal American citizen. Both parties see potential new voters in the 12 to 20 million illegal alien constituency and they are willing to ignore 280 million legal Americans in pursuit of the illegal vote. Democrats blame republicans and their corporate friends, which is more fair than not.

But let’s get real; nobody is pushing harder for legalizing illegal immigration than liberals and labor unions in search of a bigger proletariat class of federal dependents who can always be counted upon to vote Democrat.

We have American troops currently in battle, dying for a country that doesn’t even support their mission. We have politicians on both sides of the aisle who voted to send them into that battle, now desperate to force retreat and defeat by cutting off funding and emboldening our enemies with anti-American rhetoric and traitorous war propaganda. Everyone claims to support the troops, but few actually do.

Our elected officials have become wealthy beyond imagination while bankrupting the most productive, prosperous nation on earth. They have secured their own financial future while destroying ours. Every politician rails against spending and growth of government, but each and every one contributes to insane spending and an endless growth of government.

Clearly, all politicians believe Americans to be too stupid to worry about. Based upon what we continue to let them get away with, it appears they might actually be right about something for a change!

America is a sovereign nation built upon certain specific principles. Those principles include unalienable God given individual rights to Life, personal Liberty and a right to define and pursue individual Happiness, establishing individual social and economic order through individual effort and sacrifice. Yet congress and their judicial minions alienate all of these rights daily.

America is a nation built upon a belief in the individual, no matter where they came from, no matter what color or religion they are, no matter which side of the tracks they grew up on. America is a nation that believes in free enterprise, not socialism. America believes in personal freedom, not some so-called greater common good. There is no common good greater than individual freedom!

Yet those in Washington DC disagree, believing instead that there is no common good, greater than themselves.

To be “American”, one must believe in, support, defend, promote and preserve fundamental American ideals and principles for future generations, just as those before us preserved them for our generations. But today, Washington DC works to undermine it all.

Washington DC no longer supports free enterprise, national sovereignty, freedom or individual rights. They support the further empowerment of themselves over the people they were elected to represent. They divide by voting bloc for purposes of personal gain. They won’t unite even for the sake of national survival. But they will for the benefit of illegal aliens and foreign enemies.

Every elected official in this nation, from the President to members of congress, from every judge that sits on a bench to governors and state legislators, down to every mayor or city council member, takes an oath of office, sworn before the people who give them power and the God who made America the greatest nation on earth. And almost without exception, they work today towards an un-American or even anti-American agenda, breaking that oath without so much as an apology.

These folks can not be called “American”. And so long as they continue to act against the interest and will of the American people, they represent the single largest threat to the American people and the future of this nation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. There are no more Americans left in Washington DC today, demonstrated by the current move to erase, rather than secure, our borders, by the trust given a corrupt United Nations over American sovereignty, by the lining of their own pockets via the plundering of ours, by the demand for a military failure in Iraq and the broader war on terror, by their insistence upon the rights of terrorists over the right of American citizens to be secure.

The list of examples is endless today and the sum of that list can only be described as destructive towards the American end. There is nothing “American” about it! The time to reverse this trend is passing and only a second American revolution will re-install the fundamental principles of the greatest nation on earth.

When those given power by the people no longer listen to the people through peaceful means, less peaceful measures will eventually be taken. There are no Americans left in Washington DC, but there are all across America.

One must hope that they will unite and stand together peacefully soon, to turn the tide by replacing un-American politicians with American politicians, before the only choice remaining it to abolish the government which only serves itself.

May God Bless these United States and every true patriot willing to stand and be counted, whatever the cost. Freedom has never been free and it never will be.

Thomas Jefferson warned us in no uncertain terms, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." A radical extremist thought? I fear this day is soon coming... Americans will not allow forever, the anti-American agenda of Washington DC.

Today, my thoughts are with the man known as "The Lion of Fallujah," Maj. Douglas A. Zembiec, laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery only a few days ago. There are men, and then there are men like this Marine. May G-d bless him and those like him.

Dozens of Gaza residents turned out for a rally on Wednesday to demand an end to factional fighting...

“Just as we used to protect you from the occupation by acting as human shields, we have come to protect you from yourselves,” one protester shouted at gunmen, referring to instances when Palestinian civilians positioned themselves between militants and Israeli forces. (Reuters)

Heh. and that's when the "gunmen" opened fire and wounded eight of them, or maybe it was fifteen of them, depending on who's telling the story.

The peace-loving palestinians

are at it again...

Hamas gunmen fatally shot six bodyguards from the rival Fatah movement and mistakenly ambushed a jeep carrying their own fighters, killing five.

The streets of central Gaza City echoed with gunfire and were empty except for gunmen in black ski masks.

Police from the Fatah-allied Preventive Security organization arrested five Hamas men and were driving them through Gaza City when the vehicle was ambushed by Hamas fighters, Preventive Security officials said. The five Hamas men were killed, along with two Fatah men, they said.

Hamas radio reported that a Hamas man was killed in a separate clash, and a nurse in an ambulance was shot in the head after being caught in the crossfire, hospital officials said. Her family said she was brain-dead and on a respirator.

But wait... there's more!

In another incident, Hamas gunmen set fire to an 11-story apartment building housing Fatah lawmaker Nema Sheik Ali, the wife of the head of Preventive Security. Witnesses said the gunmen broke into her apartment and struck her and two of her children with their weapons. One of the children is 14 years old; the age of the other wasn't immediately known.

"They came, they broke the door," she said. "They assaulted my children and they pushed me aside, then they torched the apartment."

Shadi al-Kashir, a building resident, said his father, wife, five children and two sisters had been trapped inside by smoke in the halls and gunbattles raging in the entranceway. "They tried to send ambulances, but the ambulances came under fire," he said.

Believe it or not, there's more!

A group of about 200 Palestinians marched in central Gaza City, waving Palestinian flags and demanding an end to the fighting. Dozens of masked gunmen used the cover of the demonstration to improve their positions on the street, and then opened fire on the demonstrators, wounding one in the leg. The rest fled.

and even while killing themselves and each other, they still find time to shoot rockets at Jews:

Hamas officials said the organization's men launched eight rockets at Israel, following a barrage of around 20 rockets Tuesday. That salvo at the Israeli town of Sderot, just outside Gaza, wounded five Israelis, one seriously, said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

Let's give 'em their own state already.

"The international community and Arab countries shoulder part of the responsibility for the current events due to their attitudes toward the national unity government," Abu Marzouk told The Associated Press by telephone in Damascus. "The continued financial and political siege has pushed matters to this simmering tension."

"The Israelis are behind all these events," Abu Marzouk said. "It's illogical that the Arabs stand idle watching the Palestinian arena while it's on the verge of explosion under the siege. ... This is a constant pressure that has led to a real explosion."

OMG! Its a massacre!

Palestinian style:

GAZA, May 15 (Reuters) - Hamas gunmen killed at least eight members of Mahmoud Abbas's Presidential Guard on Tuesday, security officials said, as Palestinian factional fighting threatened to spill into full civil war.

The battle, at a Presidential Guard training base near the Karni Crossing, Gaza's main commercial lifeline with Israel, erupted despite a renewed pledge by warring groups to pull gunmen off the streets.

"They are attacking the headquarters and the crossing with RPGs (rocket-propelled grenades) and mortar bombs... I warn of a massacre* here (by Hamas)," Ali al-Qessi, a Presidential Guard spokesman said in a call for help on Palestinian television.

* This massacre has been brought to you by the US State Department and your tax dollars.

(IsraelNN.com) In clashed earlier Monday, Hamas terrorists captured three trucks loaded with weapons that the US provided to Fatah-affiliated security forces. Hamas spokesmen said that they are aware that the US and Israel are using Fatah as a proxy to try and topple the Hamas-led government.

So, once again, my tax dollars are paying for weapons that will be used to kill Jews. I can't begin to tell you how that makes me feel.

Another 13 Americans would survive who are otherwise killed each day by uninsured drunk driving illegals.

Our hospital emergency rooms would not be flooded with everything from gunshot wounds, to anchor babies, to imported diseases to hangnails, giving American citizens the day off from standing in line behind illegals.

Eight American children would not suffer the horror as a victim of a sex crime.

In general:

We wouldn’t have 16,000 new cases of tuberculosis, 7,000 cases of leprosy, countless thousands of cases of hepatitis, Dengue Fever, Chagas Disease, new AIDS cases and thousands of other disease cases thrust upon the American taxpayer.

We wouldn’t be paying $1.75 billion annually for anchor babies, and worse, we wouldn’t be paying $2.45 billion K-12 annually educating those babies—while our schools devolve into dumb and dumber.

American workers would be paid American wages at Tyson Chicken, Hormel, Wal-Mart, fast food shops, construction, roofers, landscape and every job Americans have always done for a living wage.

We wouldn’t have 618,000 convicted criminal alien felons in our state and federal prisons at an annual cost of $1.6 billion to us. That’s after each of those felon committed a deadly crime on an American citizen.

We wouldn’t have 11,000 MS-13 gang members operating in 33 states as they distribute $100 billion in drugs to our children.

Of course, on the negative side, the price of a pound of tomatoes might go up from $0.79 to $0.80. I could live with that.

Salute!

On this day in 1942, Congress voted to establish the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps:

Members of the WAC were the first women other than nurses to serve within the ranks of the United States Army. Both the Army and the American public initially had difficulty accepting the concept of women in uniform. However, political and military leaders, faced with fighting a two-front war and supplying men and materiel for that war while continuing to send lend-lease material to the Allies, realized that women could supply the additional resources so desperately needed in the military and industrial sectors. Given the opportunity to make a major contribution to the national war effort, women seized it. By the end of the war their contributions would be widely heralded.

Ultimately, more than 150,000 American women served in the Army during World War II. The overall philosophy and purpose of the Women's Army Corps was to allow women to aid the American war effort directly and individually. The prevailing philosophy was that women could best support the war effort by performing noncombatant military jobs for which they were already trained. This allowed the Army to make the most efficient use of available labor and free men to perform essential combat duties.

The concept of women in uniform was difficult for American society of the 1940s to accept. In a 1939 Army staff study which addressed the probability that women would serve in some capacity with the Army, a male officer wrote that "women's probable jobs would include those of hostess, librarians, canteen clerks, cooks and waitresses, chauffeurs, messengers, and strolling minstrels." No mention was made in this report of the highly skilled office jobs which the majority of WACs eventually held, because such positions often carried with them significant responsibility and many people doubted that women were capable of handling such jobs.

The Women's Army Corps was successful because its mission, to aid the United States in time of war, was part of a larger national effort that required selfless sacrifice from all Americans. The war effort initiated vast economic and social changes, and indelibly altered the role of women in American society.

COOKSTOWN, N.J. - The father of one of the six men charged with plotting to massacre soldiers at Fort Dix says the business near the base that he's nurtured for years is all but ruined since his son's arrest.

Muslim Tatar, who has owned Super Mario's Pizza for five years, said his lunchtime crowd from nearby McGuire Air Force Base and Fort Dix has largely disappeared, replaced by empty tables and nasty words from passing motorists.

"Now I am a target," the 52-year-old Tatar said, adding that his business is "99 percent dead." ...

Since authorities announced the arrests on Tuesday, a cook and two waitresses quit the restaurant out of fear they would be targeted, said Warren Cline, another cook at the pizzeria.

"Normally we'd be almost full. People liked this place, and Tatar is a very friendly owner," Cline told The Star-Ledger of Newark for Saturday's newspapers. "But people drive by, they give us the finger."

Cline said delivery business is also hurting since the restaurant can no longer bring food to Fort Dix or McGuire Air Force Base.

Hmmm... maybe CAIR could file a lawsuit, and force everyone in town to eat at your restaurant once a week.

UPDATE: ... Tatar decided he had to take some sort of action to protect his business. Outside the restaurant, he hung a sign reading: "Under New Management."

Except, its not under new management, you liar. Why should we believe anything that comes out of your mouth.

Evil Zionist Balloons Part II

NYC Jewish News tells us that Channel 10 of Israeli television reported that a bunch of balloons released by children attending Lag Baomer festivities in Kiryat Shmona were intercepted by Hezbollah Yemach Shemam.

The balloons, with the words “We Want Moshiach Now” written on them, were proudly displayed on Hezbollah television. The Hezbollah members shown on TV were displaying the ‘high-tech Israeli surveillance equipment’ that they had ‘captured’.

Friday Freak Show

The State of Israel has more than its share of enemies, and thank goodness for Jimmy Carter, who identifies Israel's number one enemy: Christians Zionists!

Former President Carter reportedly said Jews should not align themselves with Zionist Christians. Tikkun magazine editor Michael Lerner said Carter made the May 2 remarks at an interfaith gathering, according to The New York Jewish Week.

"He said it was a terrible error for Jews to become allied with Christian Zionists who actually desire our conversion or burning in hell," Rabbi Lerner related in an interview Tuesday with The Jewish Week. "He pointed out that the Christian Zionist view is part of that general theology that essentially views the Jews as an obstacle, not as friends, but temporarily views the Jews as friends in the process of bringing back Jesus and at that point having all of us convert."

This is what happens when you put Anti-Jewish Jimmy Carter in the same room as Anti-Jew Michael Lerner. I'm sure Jimmy would feel like he was preaching to the choir at Tikkun, where else would you find Jews for Jimmy?

Tell you what Jimmy, and you too Michael, ya'll stand over there with your jihadis and I'll stand over here with the Chrisitian Zionists. Let's see who gets blown up first.

National Military Appreciation Month

I see hundreds of them on the road and in parking lots every day. All different colors and designs. Some yellow, some red, white and blue, some a combination. They all say the same thing. There is a yellow one on the back of my truck right now.

Support the Troops.

A fine notion, and one that America has not truly embraced since WWII. There were plenty of troops to support in-between now and then. I attended Support the Troops rallies during Desert Storm, including one on Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. and now, Most of the rallies we see are anti-war rallies run by socialist/communists who consider America to be the enemy.

But, there are all those magnets. All those people who claim to support the troops. Spend your $5.00, stick it on the back of your vehicle and go on your merry way, doing all the day to day things in your life made possible by those very same troops.

What if... what if you met one of those troops face to face. One of those troops who spent several nights sleeping in a hollow in the sand, like those pictures you saw last year in your email? One of those troops who took Baghdad from Saddam's Army in less time than it took Reno to massacre the Branch Davidians? One of those troops who went door to door in Fallujah, under fire by terrorists. One of those troops who were running a supply convoy and ran into an I.E.D. One of those troops stateside, moving the vast machinery that is our United States Military, keeping the machine well oiled and running smooth so those overseas can do what they must do?

Would you show him your magnet?

The freedom and security that citizens of the United States enjoy today are direct results of the blood shed and continued vigilance given by the United States Armed Forces over the history of our great nation.

The U.S. House of Representatives does not support our troops. The U.S. Congress has abandoned them too. and... unfortunately, not all of our troops have the support of their families and their friends. Some of our troops are out there, in harm's way, cut off and isolated from home. They need our support.

I have the names and addresses for a few, and if you are one of my regulars, with an established identity, I'll share a name with you. I won't give these names to strangers but I'll share them with those of you who have devoloped a relationship with me. Its one way for you to give a little back, one on one. Let me know if you're interested.

There are so many things you can do to show your appreciation. The National Military Appreciation Month website has some excellent suggestions, and the USO has a listing of special activities and offers from companies who support our troops.

Peeeeee Ewe!

It stinks outside.

The thick smoke covering much of South Florida this evening is from a massive brush fire burning in Collier County and another brush fire that has been burning for days in Georgia, according to the National Weather Service.

The smoke began moving over the region earlier this evening, reducing visibility to three miles in some areas, said meteorologist Brad Diehl.

The direction of the winds is not expected to change right away, so Diehl said the region can expect to see more smoke through the night and into Wednesday.

It appears the smoke is mostly over Miami-Dade and Broward Counties and a bit in western Palm Beach County, Diehl said.

Motivation

An update to the terror attack planned for Fort Dix:

One defendant, Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer, spoke of using rocket-propelled grenades and other weapons to kill at least 100 soldiers, according to court documents.

"My intent is to hit a heavy concentration of soldiers," he was quoted as saying. "You hit four, five or six Humvees and light the whole place (up) and retreat completely without any losses."

"It doesn't matter to me whether I get locked up, arrested or get taken away," another defendant, Serdar Tatar, was alleged to have said. "Or I die, it doesn't matter. I'm doing it in the name of Allah."

At first I thought the bastards should have been shot while trying to escape, but I changed my mind. I hope they keep on talking 'cause if they do, maybe, just maybe, people will start to listen.

William Jefferson Clinton:

"Maybe some Iranian leader would think, maybe I can nuke Israel ... but we can handle that with a phone call," he said. "If a nuclear bomb ever exploded in the Middle East, even if it wiped out Israel, the main victims eventually would be all the Muslims around it who would be killed in the nuclear fallout."

Handle it with a phone call? Yeah? Who you gonna call, Jimmy Carter?

Repeat after me

There is no terrorist threat:

NEW YORK -- Six men from New Jersey have been arrested in an alleged terror plot against soldiers at Fort Dix, according to law enforcement sources.

Investigators said the men planned to use automatic rifles to enter Fort Dix and kill as many soldiers as they could at the New Jersey military base. Fort Dix was just one of several military and security locations allegedly scouted by this group, authorities said.

Three of the men are brothers, all believed to be Islamic radicals. Now there's a surprise. And, here's another surprise, straight from the indictment:

According to the indictment affidavit, investigators began probing the cell last January, when a video store worker contacted them after a customer brought a DVD to be duplicated. The DVD showed 10 young men "Shooting assault weapons at a firing range in a militia-like style while calling for jihad and shouting in Arabic 'Allah Akbar' ('God is Great')." Within six months, the FBI had placed two cooperating witnesses within the terror cell, and both recorded meetings and phone conversations with the plotters.

Unfortunately, premier terror attorney Lynne Stewart will be unable to help get these bastards beat the rap, having been disbarred last month.

What a show!!!

The Fort Lauderdale Air & Sea Show was this weekend, and this year, I got to watch from a prime peice of SoFla real estate overlooking the beach. Up off the sand, in an air conditioned condo, filled with good food and drink, at times it seemed you could almost reach out and touch the planes as they went by. Ooohs and Aaaahs floating up on the breeze.

The Marines treated us to an amphibious assault simulation, yeah baby, they stormed the beach!

This air show is one of the largest in the country, and it has a reputation for being one of the best in the country. We get people here from all over Florida and other states as well. Over a million people were there this weekend.

Special highlight... for the first time in 35 years, the Army gave a helicopter demonstration, piloted by Veterans from Vietnam to Desert Storm. They flew Cobras in a diamond formation - only feet apart - so close that the chopper blades seemed about to touch. The view from where I sat was spectacular, it took my breath away.

There were times when we didn't know whether to look up at the planes or down at the ships or straight out over the water, times when it seemed everything was happening all at once, and it was awesome! Colored trails of smoke left patterns in the sky.

The United States Military is awesome.

Patience, the Marine Way

I shamelessly stole this story, in its entirety from Taco, at SandGram.

“Patience”

As a child, my Father always stressed, “Patience is a virtue.” It helped temper some of my erratic impulse urges over the years. The Marines also calmed me in that area (actually my wife more so), and when I think of a way to help someone understand patience, the following story comes to mind.

While stationed on Okinawa, I had a boss whose father was in WWII and Korea. He would tell us stories about his dad being a Marine in those days, and let me tell you, they were one helluva bunch. One episode that sticks in my mind happened in 1952, during his time in Korea with Second Battalion, Fifth Marines. He was a young Platoon Sergeant, fighting the Chinese, a lot of it, in hand-to-hand combat. The Marines were positioned on a hill overlooking a small valley. Each night the Chinese dropped mortars on top of our Devil Dogs with devastating accuracy and lethal effect. The Marines moved around, but the mortars seemed to find their positions each night. Finally, they figured out that during the day, the local farmer, plowing on the field below, marked the Marine emplacements and relayed this info to the enemy.

The order came down that morning for this farmer to be taken out. Sgt. Winter had a sniper group attached to his platoon, and he passed this order on to a young Marine to kill the farmer. The young Marine nodded to his Platoon Sergeant and gave him an “Aye Aye Sarge.” So he found a position on the hill, and watched his prey. The farmer would plow up towards their position, pretend to rest and scout out the area, and then plow back the other direction. This went on all morning and into the hot afternoon. Sergeant Winter came back around 1500 to check on the sniper. The farmer was still plowing away with the Marine keeping him in his sights. He didn’t bother the sniper, thinking that maybe he was waiting for the right shot.

Before dark, he made it back to where this young Marine was still positioned. He watched the farmer at the plow but moving slowly after a long hard day of work and spying. “Hey, I thought I told you to shoot that bastard? Why is he still alive? What sight picture are you looking for?” The Marine just took the safety off of his M-1 Garand and fired a single bullet, dropping the farmer. The Marine sniper turned to his Platoon Sergeant with a small smile on his face and replied, “Hell Sarge, I just wanted him to die tired, that’s all.”

Now that’s what I call “Marine Corps Patience”

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel's defense minister said Saturday he will step down after an inquiry commission criticized his handling of the war in Lebanon last summer, but he will probably wait until his Labor Party has held its primaries at the end of the month.

The government probe found that Amir Peretz did not fulfill his duty as defense minister, in part due to his inexperience in military matters.

Peretz, who is under public pressure to resign, told Channel Two TV Saturday that he would leave his post, probably after primaries in the Labor Party which he leads.

"I have made my decision," Peretz said. "But I think if I decided from one day to the next to get up and flee the defense ministry, I would be doing something bad, bad for the security and the state of Israel."

About 100,000 people from across the political spectrum demonstrated Thursday in Tel Aviv to urge Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Peretz to resign.

Actually, that number was close to 200,000, but who's counting.

"The person who will inherit the defense portfolio from me will receive a ministry in better condition than the one I headed," Defense Minister Amir Peretz said in a Channel 2 TV interview aired on Saturday.

Peretz was responding to the Winograd Committee's interim report, published on Monday, which put the most of the blame for the outcome of the Second Lebanon War on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Peretz and former IDF chief of general staff Lt. -Gen. [res.] Dan Halutz.

This, from the man who, in February of this year, said that 'he plans to go all the way' in the the evacuation of what he calls "illegal" outposts. Because that's the single most important issue for Israel.

This weekend, palestinian terrorists operating out of Gaza, fired at least eight rockets at nearby Israeli towns and communities. In one attack, a rocket scored a direct hit on a family home in the working-class town of Sderot. The family was not in the house at the time.

After the barrage, Defense Minister Amir Peretz told reporters, "We are prepared for a war in Gaza... There is a plan."

Plan? You have a plan? Thousands of rockets have rained down on Israel since you turned Gaza over to the terrorists Amir, so what is this famous plan we keep hearing about?

IDF officials told the Yisraeli daily commuter paper that the Gaza region will be “heating up” in the coming months. They said that the government has operative plans ready, but will not allow the IDF to carry them out unless there are fatal injuries due to a Kassam rocket strike.

If this is true and you are waiting for Jewish blood to be spilled before you do anything, when that blood is spilled Amir, it will be on your hands, as surely as if you had killed them yourself.

Get out Peretz and take Ehud with you, you're both incompetent, inexeperienced and incapable of doing your job.

It is written in the Book of Proverbs "Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth." Forgive me G-d, but today, there is joy in my heart to know that Halutz is gone, and soon Peretz will be gone. Two down, one to go. The future of Israel depends upon it.

Where do I sign up?

They're picking the Padilla jury pool, and no, I didn't get a summons. Too bad. I would have loved to serve on that jury. Instead, look at what we get:

MIAMI — Many potential jurors in the Jose Padilla terrorism-support case say they aren't sure who directed the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks because they don't trust reporters or the federal government.

"There are too many ifs, too many things going on," one male juror said. "I don't know the whole story."

Before they came to court, each of the jurors filled out a 115-question form asking about a wide range of legal, political and religious topics, particularly their views of Arabs, Muslims and Islamic radicals. On question No. 60, which asks for an opinion about responsibility for the Sept. 11 terror attacks, many people said they don't know.

"I've been surprised at the number of our jurors who don't have an opinion about 9/11," U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke, who is presiding over the case and asks most of the juror questions, said Wednesday.

Think that's bad? It gets worse...

Others say they just don't pay close enough attention to world events to be certain.

"I'm oblivious to that stuff," one prospective female juror said during questioning this week. "I don't watch the news much. I try to avoid it."

Sigh. As my friend Sondra says, these are the people in my neighborhood.

Oh well. At least the weather is nice, the beaches are beautiful and it never, ever snows.

56 years later... to the day!

I find this kind of thing fascinating...

A demolition worker found the wallet inside a wall in the theater. His wife then tracked down Val's wife, Jeanette Gregoire, and sent her the contents.

Val Gregoire was serving on the U.S.S. Macon in April 1951. The 18-year-old Navy gunner had a one day pass in Boston and spent it with his mother and Jeanette, his then 19-year-old girlfriend.

"In the evening when we departed he left to go to the ship and on his way he was hit on the head and knocked right out and they just took his wallet and they even took his pants," said Jeanette Gregorie.

Jeanette Gregoire says that the wallet was found exactly 56 years to the day that it was stolen. The Navy pass in the wallet was dated April 11, 1951. It was found on April 11th, 2007.

I lost my wallet last weekend on South Beach, but managed to keep my pants. I realized I didn't have it when it came time to pay for dinner. bummer.

Superman of the World?

ohfercryinoutloud. Just when you think you've heard it all...

DHAKA (Reuters) - Three simultaneous bomb blasts rocked separate railway terminals in Bangladesh on Tuesday, with militant slogans claiming to be from al Qaeda found at two of the sites.

Thin metal sheets scribbled with slogans were found at the bomb sites in Dhaka's Kamalapur and Sylhet terminals. The third blast was in the railway terminal of the southeastern city of Chittagong.

"... If Hazrat (Prophet) Mohammad is not declared the superman of the world by May 10, all non-governmental organisations will be blown up," the slogans on the metal sheets read in the Bengali language.

They were signed "the al Qaeda network" in English.

It would be funny... if they didn't mean to kill us all.
