OK, I am going to take a different point of view on this. Go ahead and rip away...

I am not going to scorn Michael Vick for claiming that he has "found Jesus". Yes, it's true that usually when you hear that it's BS...but since Michael Vick said it I am going to give him every chance to prove it.

That doesn't mean he shouldn't pay for what he has done. That doesn't mean I expect every dog lover to suddenly forgive this man with open arms right now.

We can all agree that Michael Vick is a "wretch". As the song Amazing Grace intonates, he needs grace. That doesn't come from you or I, but from Jesus. And I have seen those who embrace Jesus have their lives transformed.

(Sorry Linda for the evangelizing here, but I'll wrap up)

Has Vick actually embraced Jesus? As the Bible says, we'll know from his works. If he comes out of prison contrite, humble and willing to make up for what he did (not just throw a little money at the Humane Society) then I will believe him.

But if he is just throwing those words around, then I'm with Mark. Vick will be spending a year or so practicing the Spread Formation...
