Ok, I must've missed something. Is there backstory for this or anything?

I've got very mixed feelings, Linda. He's a turd, for sure....but he wears the uniform in a combat zone. I think his Company NCOs will be making a greater impact on him than attack emails and letters, which is what this will generate a lot of. 'Course, it would be highly improper for me to comment to the young Private in any circumstances.

Goodness knows I respect your opinion Fred, and I've sat here and thought about you said.

yes, its true, the man is out there in a combat zone. But which side is he on?

This is a person who told deliberate lies about our troops. Those lies will be used by the enemy and those lies will contribute to the risk that our soldiers face. He has proven himself to be the enemy and I can't imagine having to depend on him to watch my back in combat.

He put that address out there himself, on his blog, an open invitation to write him. I accepted that invitation and I wrote him a little note to let him know that I thought what he did was wrong. But, I wouldn't classify what I wrote as hate mail.

He put that address out there so he could get a few verbal high fives for betraying his fellow soldiers with his lies. If he does get a little hate mail along with the kudos from the left, well, I'm okay with that.
