Getting Older, Yes I am
18 November
I wish to know the secrets
that are shared amongst the trees
the nonsense that is whispered
as the wind slips through the leaves
talk of days that have long past
and of the days to come
if such knowledge were mine to know
then together, with the wind, I'd run.
I long to raise my voice into the wind
let it carry on the breeze
to find my one and only love
let the hurt, at last, be eased
I fear the passage of my days
I fear this song will remain unsung
alas, tomorrow I'll be older
but today, I am still young.

Yes, tomorrow is my birthday. If you would like to do something special in honor of my birthday, nothing would make me happier than an outpouring of care for our troops. So please, pick and click on one of these, and do a little something for our troops:
Or, just pick up that cell phone and text a Thanksgiving message to our troops who are out there on the front lines, fighting for freedom.
Its free, its easy, and it would make me very happy.

Happy birthday.
A very good idea and one that should be carried on by others. I will steal this concept and move it forward.
Your action is, how can I put it best, an example of the lofty ideals we should strive to achieve. Lofty.

I wish you a very happy birthday Linda, and many many more to come. I just came back from the USO care package site, and I sent a care package in your name, to one of our troops.

For her 69th birthday, one of my wife's friends sent her an e-card with this message:
"For years I was impressed at how you seemed to develop greater patience and understanding as you got older. Then one day I began to realize that you just don't give a shit."

Have a Great Thanksgiving , everyone!! I got the Cubs, all three, to myself for Four fun packed days!
Think sweet corn would go good in the dressing?

Happy Birthday, Linda!
Does e-mailing all my friends over there count? That I can afford to do (you need to work on the timing of the computers drive and your birthday).
