I've been reading your blog for a while now and generally like (and agree with) what you have to say. However, I'm not sure it is fare to condemn Bush or this situation before anything has happened. Yes, it IS a photo op but establishing a two-state scenario for Israel and Palestine would certainly lead to a better future in that part of the world. I know that Abbas is not the best but he is certainly better than Arafat and frankly I don't think Olmert is the best person for the job either. That being said, this conference does present a unique opportunity to begin MOVING forward again.

Please, follow the first link under "Same Shit" and look at the terrorist attacks that have been committed by Fatah, the party of Arafat and now, the party of Abbas, and tell me why you think that Abbas is any better than, or even any different than Arafat.

Nothing has changed. Fatah and the rest of the palestinians still refuse to acknowledge Israel's existence and their goal is the end of Israel.

And nothing ever will change. This whole farce just makes me sick. Hatred of Jews, Israel and the United States are the Only things that they won't give up.

But you can't blame them. Aww (expletive deleted), yes you frigin can. Apeople who think it's aceptable to abuse Women, strap bombs to children, kill innocents......how in the Eff do you negotiate peace with them?
