Something stinks
Where are our Men?
Don't ask John McCain. The documentary "Missing, Presumed Dead the Search for America's POWs" focuses on Senator John McCain successfully blocking the release of classified POW/MIA documents, documents that would help bring our Men back home.
and more:
If you think for even one minute that I might get behind such a man and help make him president of the United States of America, well, you best think again. On this issue, he is no better than John Kerry. On other issues, he's worse.
John McCain is not being nominated by conservatives. He is being nominated by liberal Independents in open primaries and liberal RINOs in closed primaries. He has very little support among conservatives and he can’t win in November as a result.
But more importantly, on the issues facing our nation today, John McCain is no more conservative or Republican than Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. In fact, after more than three decades in Washington DC, his friends are not Washington conservatives, but Washington liberals like Clinton, Obama, Kennedy, Lieberman, Graham and Martinez.
John McCain says he “changed the strategy in Iraq” and now we are winning in Iraq. But John McCain changed nothing in Iraq. He only supported beefing up the existing strategy in Iraq by putting more boots on the ground. A good move that should have happened sooner, but by no means a “change in strategy.”
Worse yet on this subject, McCain is on record fighting for open borders, legalizing illegal immigration, closing down Gitmo and giving known terrorists access to the US criminal courts, while refusing to aggressively interrogate those who can tell us when and where the next 9/11 might happen. Yet, to hear him from the campaign stump, he’s strong on national security, just not any of the measures needed to actually secure a nation under attack.
McCain now says he is for the Bush tax cuts that he railed against and indeed voted against in the Senate.
McCain sided with Kennedy, Lieberman and Russ Feingold in passing the first legislation to limit free political speech in US history, some of which has since been ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Yet he sees himself as a conservative champion of liberty and freedom.
In short, McCain’s senate record is that of an inside-the-beltway Washington liberal, not any form of a conservative or even a Republican. McCain is so far left that he is fully on-board Al Gore’s Global Warming Swindle and promises to usher in the economically disastrous policies drafted and advanced by international socialists for the sole purpose of bringing America to its economic knees.
But none of this is the John McCain touted from the campaign stump. Almost every word coming out of McCain’s so-called “Straight-Talk Express” is an outright lie.
In case you're wondering where that came from, it's from an OpEd at the Canada Free Press. As the darling of the liberal leftist media in this country, McCain is pretty much safe from such scrutiny. They know that his nomination will pretty much seal the deal on a democrat take over of this country.
The article sums up McCain's conservative shortcomings very well, I am incredulous that he is now calling himself “the official new leader of the conservative movement in America.”
If you believe that's what he is, well then, I guess you have been holding your nose for so long that you have forgotten what a conservative smells like.
I haven't.

To Gaza...
The word from the Boston Globe's Ministry of Arab Propaganda is that the poor palestinians are starving, yes starving.
Although Gaza daily requires 680,000 tons of flour to feed its population, Israel had cut this to 90 tons per day by November 2007, a reduction of 99 percent.
Martin Kramer points out that if you allow for a population of 1.5 million arabs as stated in the article, well then, that rounds out to the consumption of about half a ton of flour each, for every man, woman and child in Gaza. Sheesh! Someone ought to tell those people about the Atkins diet.
Oh, those evil Joos!
Speaking of Jews... you know the world has gone completely nuts when the Zionists are climbing into bed with the likes of Ron Paul. The Sultan Knish is talking about that, and quite frankly, his insights scared the heck of me.
Oh... and... before I forget... despite the rockets raining down, suicide bombers, iranian nuke rattling, boycotts, and George Bush wandering over to the dark side, the Israel Foreign Ministry has now found the time to deal with the real important issue: Extending an official apology to The Beatles, 43 years after the British band was banned from performing in the Jewish state.
It seems to me that if they were issuing apologies to the Beatles, perhaps they should have apologized for this:

*snort* Personally, I think it gained something in the translation! (a special thank you to Wollf, who sent me the story, and gave me a good reason to post that song!).
And... just in case sucking up to the Beatles doesn't bring about peace in the Middle East, no worries... there is a back-up plan:
Israel's ambassador to Britain, Ron Prosor hopes soccer can foster peace with the Palestinians. "There are a lot of supporters of Manchester United in Israel and for United to come out on the 60th anniversary can push football as a diplomatic tool in the region."
"Through football, we can bridge peace between people and enhance better understanding. Football is a game where you need discipline, teamwork and we're working together to achieve common targets and objectives in the region."
I don't know about you, but I'm so glad that the Israeli Foreign Ministry has finally come up with a way to foster peace in the Middle East. Football and the Beatles = peace! Who'da thunk it?
After that fails miserably, perhaps we can just start airlifting 680,000 tons of flour to Gaza each and every day, it would take what, a week, maybe a month, to bury the murderous bastards and end their reign of terror?
yeah.

Never Again
In mid-January 1945, as Soviet forces approached the Auschwitz camp complex, the SS began evacuating Auschwitz and its satellite camps. Nearly 60,000 prisoners were forced to march west from the Auschwitz camp system. Thousands had been killed in the camps in the days before these death marches began. Tens of thousands of prisoners, mostly Jews, were forced to march to the city of Wodzislaw in the western part of Upper Silesia. SS guards shot anyone who fell behind or could not continue. Prisoners also suffered from the cold weather, starvation, and exposure on these marches. More than 15,000 died during the death marches from Auschwitz.
Sixty-three years ago today, on January 27, 1945, the Soviet army entered Auschwitz and liberated more than 7,000 remaining prisoners, who were mostly ill and dying.
From Belsen a crate of gold teeth,
from Dachau a mountain of shoes,
from Auschwitz a skin lampshade.
Who killed the Jews?
-- William Heyden

The Holocaust, symbolized by Auschwitz, the worst of the death camps, occurred in the wake of consistent, systematic, unrelenting anti-Jewish propaganda campaigns. As a result, the elimination of the Jews from German society was accepted as axiomatic, leaving open only two questions: when and how.
As Germany expanded its domination and occupation of Austria, Czechoslovakia, France, the Low Countries, Yugoslavia, Poland, parts of the USSR, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Italy and others countries, the way was open for Hitler to realize his well-publicized plan of destroying the Jewish people.
After experimentation, the use of Zyklon B was adopted by the Nazis as the means of choice for killing Jews, and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Complex was selected as the main factory of death. The green light for mass annihilation was given at the Wannsee Conference, January 20, 1942.
The Wannsee Conference formalized "the final solution" - the plan to transport Europe's Jews to eastern labour and death camps. Ever efficient and bureaucratic, the Nazi kept a record of the meeting, discovered in 1947 in the files of the German Foreign Office. The record represents a summary made by Adolf Eichmann, he was later tried and convicted in Jerusalem, and executed in 1962 in Ramlah prison.
The mass gassings of Europe's Jews took place in Auschwitz between 1942 and the end of 1944, when the Nazis retreated before the advancing Red Army. Jews were transported to Auschwitz from all over Nazi-occupied or Nazi-dominated Europe and most were slaughtered in Auschwitz upon arrival, sometimes as many as 12,000 in one day. Some victims were selected for slave labour or "medical" experimentation before they were murdered or allowed to die. All were subject to brutal treatment.

Holocaust Memorial on Miami Beach, Florida
In all, between three and four million people, mostly Jews, but also Poles and Red Army POWs, were slaughtered in Auschwitz alone. Other death camps were located at Sobibor, Chelmno, Belzec (Belzek), Majdanek and Treblinka. Adding the toll of these and other camps, as well as the mass executions and the starvation in the Ghettos, six million Jews, men, women, the elderly and children lost their lives as a consequence of the Nazi atrocities. Amongst the ashes of the Holocaust, are the remains of my family.
Auschwitz was liberated by the Red Army on 27 January 1945, sixty-three years ago, after most of the prisoners were forced into a Death March westwards. The Red Army found in Auschwitz about 7,600 survivors, but not all could be saved.
For a long time, the Allies were well aware of the mass murder, but deliberately refused to bomb the camp or the railways leading to it. Ironically, during the Polish uprising, the Allies had no hesitation in flying aid to Warsaw, sometimes flying right over Auschwitz.
There are troubling parallels between the systematic vilification of Jews before the Holocaust and the current vilification of the Jewish people and Israel. Suffice it to note the annual flood of anti-Israel resolutions at the UN; or the public opinion polls taken in Europe, which single out Israel as a danger to world peace; or the divestment campaigns being waged in the US against Israel; or the attempts to delegitimize Israel’s very existence. The complicity of the Allies in WW II is mirrored by the support the palestinians have been receiving from the United States, Europe, China and Russia to this very day.
If remembering Auschwitz should teach us anything, it is that we cannot, we must not ignore the cries of "Death to Israel" and "Chrad al Yahood" (Kill the Jews) from the Middle East. The meaning is clear, the intent is clear, the danger is clear. We must meet the threat head on, and support Israel and the Jewish people against the vilification and the complicity we are witnessing, knowing where it inevitably leads.

Shabbat Shalom
Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory.
Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness. Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.”
Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.
Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world, and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.

Presidential Decision Directive #25
What happens when the President of the United States decides to ignore the Constitution, ignore Congress, ignore statutory law, and send America's sons and daughters into a military setting under the authority and the command of a foreign entity?
Ask SPC Michael G. New:
On August 21, 1995, my seniors in the U.S. Army chain of command informed me that my unit and I would soon be ordered to significantly alter our uniform by sewing a United Nations patch on my right shoulder and wearing the blue beret and/or helmet of the U.N. These are important insignia. If they were unimportant, then I would not have been threatened with courts-martial, imprisonment, or less than dishonorable discharge when I expressed my reservations about wearing them. I interpret the wearing of a uniform, or the accoutrements of a uniform, as a sign of allegiance and faithfulness to the authority or power so signified, or which issues that uniform. I am an American citizen who was recruited for and voluntarily joined the U.S. Army to serve as an American soldier. I am not a citizen of the United Nations. I am not a United Nations Fighting Person. I have never taken an oath to the United Nations, but I have taken the required oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.
I am not trying to avoid a difficult or dangerous assignment or to get out of the Army. I served in Kuwait last year and have offered to serve anywhere in the world, in my American uniform, in my capacity as a U.S. Army medic under American command and U.S. Constitutional protections. I have worked diligently to be a good soldier. I have previously been offered a "Green to Gold" program to an Army Commission, and I am still seriously considering that offer. In order to avoid controversy, or to avoid placing the Army in a bad light, I have requested a transfer to a unit that is not required to wear the U.N. uniform. I was told that such is not possible, and I was even reluctantly willing to accept an honorable discharge, and I was willing to sadly and reluctantly withdraw from the U.S. Army quietly. However, I will not wear a U.N. uniform or serve under U.N. command, and I will strongly contest any discharge that is less than honorable.
I simply cannot understand the legal basis of the Army order to change my uniform against my oath of enlistment, against my conscience and against my will. Despite my requests for information up my chain of command, my questions about the lawfulness of such an order or about how my allegiance can be transferred without my approval have gone unanswered.
My chain of command has directed me to study the history and objectives of the U.N. My knowledge of, and my research into the United Nations, (which continues even as I prepare this statement), indicates to me that the U.N. Charter is based upon manmade principles which are incompatible with the Constitution of the United States, and the U.N.'s authority and principles are diametrically opposed to the founding documents of my country. The more I study the U.N. history and American history, the more incompatible they appear to me.
My studies indicate to me that there are those who would see my country assimilated or brought under the authority of the United Nations, which I interpret to mean a corresponding loss of sovereignty, which is a departure from our Founding Principles and a loss of independence for all Americans. Boutros-Ghali, for example, has written, "The time of absolute and exclusive sovereignty has passed." (1992, An Agenda for Peace) I should expect EVERY American soldier to be concerned about serving under such a Secretary General.
I believe that the Constitution is the fundamental law of America, and if there is any ambiguity or conflict with treaty or international agreement or organization that the U.S. Constitution would prevail. My oath is to the Constitution. I cannot find any reference to the United Nations in that oath. That oath includes a statement that is more than a passing reference to God Almighty, it is a prayer, "...so help me God." It is no secret that our nation is founded upon Biblical principles. {~" ) Our Founders reflected this fact in their speeches, correspondence and documents from the Mayflower Compact to the Declaration of Independence, and other more recent documents, all of which recognize certain rights such as life, liberty and property as being bestowed from Above, and as, therefore, "unalienable." I believe I will lose something precious and more valuable than the U.N. can possibly grant me, by surrendering my status as an American fighting man.
Without a response from the Army about the legality of any orders to become a U.N. soldier, I do not intend to surrender my status as an American soldier to wear the uniform of a foreign power. If you wish to convene a courts-martial and send me to jail for standing upon my oath as an American soldier and for defending my wearing the American Army uniform, and its historic significance, then I cannot prevent that action, and I will accept it as a price I am willing to pay, rather than submit to an order to obey or render allegiance to any foreign power, including the United Nations.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Powerful words, clear and consise, it is the oath Michael New took to defend the constitution of the United States. An oath so many brave and honorable men and women have taken with pride, determination, courage and honor.
It was not, and is not, an oath to server under the command of the United Nations or any other foreign entity.
Michael was told the order to wear the UN uniform was lawful because,"The President says so, therefore it is." But nobody provided a legitimate, legal or rational basis for the order. Eventually, a battalion briefing about the deployment offered the justification that, "We wear the U.N. uniform because it looks fabulous."
SPC Michael G. New refused. He refused to discard the uniform of the United States Army and to don the uniform of a foreign entity.
Today is the anniversary of his court-martial. The panel of seven, including three officers, returned a "guilty" verdict on charge of disobedience. They denied the Army's request for a prison term and Dishonorable Discharge, giving Michael a "Bad Conduct" Discharge instead.
"Right is right, and wrong is wrong. They can argue until the end of time, but I will never serve the United Nations." - Michael G. New
A decade of fighting, Michael's appeals have all been denied, and today, the conviction stands. In December of 2005, Judge Paul Friedman upheld the military's conviction, ruling that the U.S. military can force its personnel to wear the blue beret of the United Nations and serve under the world body's command.
That decision stands today.
But... its not over. President Clinton's Decision Directive #25 to place American troops under a foreign command is now 13 years old and eligble for declassification. In August of 2007, Michael New requested just that. Why? Well, it could mean a reversal.
Does it matter? Hell yes, it matters, especially since America could very well be facing another Clinton Presidency. What happened to Michael New could very well happen again, to our troops in uniform today.
American Troops should not be forced to serve under a foreign power. I pray Michael is successful.

The more things change...
The more they remain the same:
KABUL, Afghanistan — An Afghan court on Tuesday sentenced a 23-year-old journalism student to death for distributing a paper he printed off the Internet that three judges said violated the tenets of Islam, an official said.
The three-judge panel sentenced Sayad Parwez Kambaksh to death for distributing a paper that humiliated Islam, said Fazel Wahab, the chief judge in the northern province of Balkh, where the trial took place. Wahab did not preside over the trial.
So much for freedom and democracy in an islamic country.

Now that Fred! is gone
There's really only one true choice left in the race:

Yep. It's about the only vote my conscience can live with.
P.S. What he said!
Whoever said: The message of the Republican party to its voters this year seems to be: “Vote for us because our democrats are better than their democrats” was right.
No thanks.

One Tin Moonbat...

Yes, Billy Jack is back, er, I mean Tom Laughlin is back and running for President! Yep, it's true, together with his sidekick Jean and lots and lots of your money, Billy Jack is going to save the world! Yup.
How can he do that, you ask? Well, in case you didn't know, Billy Jack is imminently qualified to save America and the rest of the World based upon his bad acting in a low-budget cult movie from 30-some years ago. Yes, because that's how Hollywood works. It's true! Just ask Barbra Streisand or Sean Penn.
So. Bad acting aside, what can we expect from President Billy Jack? Well, only the end of the War in Iraq, Peace on Earth, and Good Will Towards Man, that's right, because Billy Jack has got a Plan. That's right, a Plan.
What is this Plan you ask?
Well, according to the "Official Billy Jack Website" Billy Jack has a plan to save the world, starting with Iraq:
Billy's Plan is... "a realistic, immediately doable Exit Plan - “Give back the Oil – Bring home the Troops” Plan - that will immediately end the insane daily flow of the blood of American heroes and innocent Iraqi civilian women and children, bring real stability and peace to Iraq, and bring our troops home in six months!!
Wow, Yay! We're saved!
That's right kiddies, Billy Jack has "The brilliant, realistic Exit Plan to exit Iraq immediately" which is premised upon the “demon/Satan” Americans" (that would be us) getting out of Iraq and forcing "a coalition from Russia, China, France etc." to take over the rebuilding of Iraq and Afghanistan. Iraq of course, will pay them for the rebuilding effort with oil! That's right! Forget about Oil for Food and bring on Oil for Reconstruction! That Billy Jack is a genius!
Now how does this Plan come about? Well, The first step involves checkbooks, your checkbooks, as according to the website:
"We need money, we need funding badly, desperately."
So we ask you, we ask you for your help. We need it desperately. WE’re starting from scratch with nothing. We need all of you to contact every anti-war group you can think of, email them, have them go to our website, send a message to them. Contact everybody you can who is against the parties, the politicians that are running. Help us. Email them, fax, call them, send them to our website.
Oh and... "Donations are not tax deductible. There is not [sic] limit to the amount you can donate, and no donation is too small."
Billy Jack and Jean even have catchy slogans for us: “Give back the oil – Bring home the Troops” and “No more orphans for Halliburton Oil.” Both are original ideas that are sure to catch on!
Is Billy Jack's Plan viable? Of course it is, because 87% of Americans approve of it, regardless of party! That's right, and Billy Jack has a poll of 374 Americans (61% of whom were Republicans!) that "proves that once Americans learn of this “Give back the oil – Bring home the troops” Exit Plan, 87% of them want this Exit Plan enacted now."
Yes, you read that correctly, that would be now, as in right now! Wow! Of course, last year, Billy Jack's website reported that the poll was of 371 Americans, and that 92% approved of the "Plan." So what if they suddenly found three more voters and somehow dropped 5 percentage points, its still a lot of people and it proves that Billy Jack's plan will work.
How will it work?
Well, Billy Jack didn't win the New Hampshire primary as planned, but he could still win the Presidency with the "National Campaign of 7 Separate National Events to educate all of Mainstream America regarding the need to Vote for a candidate who has a Plan to end the war as the only way to Save our Troops, end the war, and stop the holocaust of bloodshed and horror in Iraq and the entire Middle East."
Yes, seven, it will take seven steps to educate mainstream America to join an unprecedented nationwide Movement to stop the wars, start winning the war on terror, and by this unique education, restore America to its role as the strongest, most moral nation on earth. Wow! Seven steps to stop the war and start winning the war all at the same time! That Billy Jack is a genius!
The First Step is... informercials! Two of them!
The first one will be filled with the testimony of all of the intelligence officers, military leaders and civilians who will give incontrovertible evidence proving that Bush had approved invasion and permanent occupation plans for Iraq before 9/11, even before he was sworn in, and then Cheney and Rumsfeld created their own secret intelligence units to manufacture all the false reports about WMD, nuclear weapons, etc. to stampede the Congress and America into the war, which was always for control of the oil in the Middle East -- and that’s just the first of dozens of impeachable crimes they committed.
and the second?
This second infomercial will show the enormous cost in human life all over the world our invasion for oil has cost the human race, and created an unprecedented world hatred that fuels the worldwide war of terror against America. This infomercial will show how we can use that money better to cure hunger, disease and tyrannical genocide – from Darfur and Sudan to Latin American slums, to hunger and homelessness in America - restoring America as the moral city on the hill, and taking a colossal step in stopping the hatred of America as an imperialistic bloodthirsty beast and making Americans safer in the war on terror.
The other steps in Billy Jack's Plan? Well, other steps include a Rally and Vigil, and a documentary, and a concert of comedians and musicians, and an "Internet Impeachment Inquiry and Trial of Bush and Cheney" conducted right there on Billy Jack's website!
Wait, don't laugh, it could happen! He's Billy Jack remember? He will make it happen, with his feet maybe. In the movie Billy Jack, they said he can kill you with his feet. But don't worry, that was a long time ago and Billy Jack is a pacifist anyway and that means he doesn't like killing, even with his feet. And he's what, seventy years old? Presumably his feet killing days are over. But in the past Billy Jack could kill you. With his feet. So you should vote for him, m'kay?
And the Final Step... well, the Final Step is what I am sure America and the rest of the world have been anxiously awaiting for the past 35 years - another Billy Jack Movie!!!!!
The most powerful weapon of all - A brand new Billy Jack film -- BILLY JACK'S CRUSADE to End the War and Restore America to its Moral Purpose by the only way possible - Impeaching Bush and Cheney. A worldwide network of the new Billy Jack film premieres on the same day to give the biggest megaphone ever to those who want to end the war, bring true peace, freedom and democracy to Iraq, and stop the dismantling of our Constitution
Wow! The New Billy Jack Movie is gonna be the most powerful weapon of all, presumbably more powerful than even Billy Jack's powerful killer feet! It will be so powerful that it will probably impeach Bush and Cheney right there in the movie man! Like wow. He could do it! He's Billy Jack! But wait! There's more!!!
Just as the original Billy Jack, Billy Jack’s Crusade will be a non-stop powerful melodrama. Billy Jack and Jean will be “Obewon Kenobis” passing down their wisdom and mantle to a younger Billy Jack and Jean, and today’s idealistic rebels struggling against all of the enormous pressures assaulting young people today. Think of Forrest Gump whereby Forrest appears on screen and talks with John Kennedy, and you’ll get a hint of how real this unique film will be.
OMG!!! Obewon Billy Jack and Obewon Jean! Idealistic Rebels struggling! Forrest Gump and John Kennedy together at last! Wow! But wait! There's more!
There are 5 other more controversial themes in the film -- 5 more powerful, insightful, and more important themes than the political theme, including 4 highly emotional, exciting love stories that focus on the human dimension. Like the original Billy Jack, it is an uplifting “10-handkerchief” tearjerker!
Billy Jack and Jean and Obewon Kenobi! Five themes even more important than poliitcs! Four love stories! Love and impeachment! Wow! Of course, there's more:
A key ingredient of the original Billy Jack was Billy teaching how to become a real man, and Jean on how to become a real woman in highly dramatic and emotional scenes. The new Billy Jack will do the same for today’s youth.
Oh teachings! Teachings! What are Billy Jack and Jean teachings? Well...
What is a real man? and What is a real woman? and... The difference between Sex and Eros. and... Why are 30% of 13-year olds giving oral sex once a week? and... Government contractors lie about the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump. and... How to become a woman and stop being an “MT” (masturbation tool). and... The root cause of sex and violence. and.... Major wars caused by leaders needing to prove they were real men. and....Major reason President Johnson escalated in Vietnam. There will also be: Humanitarian and Environmental Themes. and... Psychology & Religion. and... Billy Jack's "Manifesto" - "Book" of Principles and Proverbs
Something for everyone! I guess we should just be grateful that they're not teaching us how to be a good actor.
Billy Jack and Jean have all the answers to all of the world's problems and if we send them lots of money, they will teach us everything we need to know, Obewon Kenobi style, in the New Billy Jack Movie! Whew. Hurray for Hollywood!
If Romney, McCain or Guiliani get the nod from the GOP, guess who I'm voting for?
UPDATE: Thanks Boazo!
Now, is that presidential or what?

Celebrating Islamic Style
Oh yes, Its that time of year, again, when the peaceful followers of peaceful Islam take some time off from peaceful rioting, burning, pillaging, beheading infidels, killing Jews and killing each other in the name of their peaceful g0d to peacefully celebrate the peaceful holy islamic holiday of Ashura.
In order to participate, you will need a sharp sword and metal chains to flagellate yourself in this unique Religion of Peace ceremony. You will also need white robes to show off the blood and gore to your fellow celebrants. Children, horses and yes, even sheep are expected to participate.
Some of you may be horrified to see these pictures but you are urged to remember that this is but one more way to worship the Prophet of Doom a/k/a Allah, and despite appearances to the contrary, this is a religion and not a cult. In fact, it is "The Religion of Peace."

Therefore, this type of behavior is not to be considered abuse, even when it is children who are being beaten and bloodied with swords and chains.

Remember, there's no crying allowed.
So shut up and enjoy the show. You might as well get used to these images, after all, if the left has its way, you will soon be able to view these things first hand in the streets of America. In fact, you will probably be expected to participate, that is, of course, if you would like to keep your head.

Ah yes. These photos really capture the spiritual side of islam:

Feel like praying yet? I do. I'm praying for an end to the kind of evil that could do something like this:

The origins of Ashura: When the Omayyad Moslem army arrived at Karbala, Ali, the last blood relative of Mohammed found that his cowardly army had deserted him. He rode out with about 30 of his closest followers, and they were slaughtered. Muslims flaggelate and mutilate themselves on the each anniversary of his death to show remorse for deserting him before the battle.

What did Congress do for you?
It's called the Energy Independence Act and it requires fuel efficiency to jump to an average of 35 miles a gallon in 2020 from about 25 mpg now.
Yay! Not only will that stick it to the Saudis, but it'll reduce global warming and save the planet! Yeah, okay, so what if will cost automakers around $85 billion to make this happen! To hell with the automakers! They have too much money anyways, let them give something back to the planet right? Wrong.
It ain't the automakers who are gonna pay...
"We've done even more research and (the cost per car of new CAFE standards is) going to be in the range of $4,000 to $10,000, with an average of about $6,000." - General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz
Let's put that in perspective. The average cost of an automobile in 2006 was $27,958, according to the Comerica Automotive Affordability Index. So our new energy bill is, in effect, going to be a 21.4% tax hike on the current car prices. Oh, didn't they tell you that?
Nope. They didn't tell us that. But wait! There's more:
... the higher prices of cars will encourage consumers to keep their older, dirtier but cheaper vehicles for much longer. So the actual benefits will be less than forecast.
In 1970, just before the first CAFE standards were imposed, the average car on the road was about 5 1/2 years old. By 2000, the average car was 9 years old — thanks to the higher costs of buying and operating new cars, a direct result of higher fuel efficiency and safety standards.
But wait! There's more:
One way manufacturers can more easily meet the tough new standards is by making smaller cars. That's why cars in Europe — cited by many fuel-efficiency proponents as a model for the U.S. — are so tiny.
Smaller cars are cute and oh-so-European, we agree. But they're also quite dangerous. That's why cars are so big and heavy today: They have lots of safety equipment and padding that makes them much safer than the econo-boxes of the 1980s.
and...
A landmark 1989 study by Bob Crandall and John Graham of the Brookings Institution attributed some 2,200 to 3,900 additional deaths each year to the CAFE standards then in place.
Summing up:
So this is what Congress in all its wisdom has brought us: A 21% tax hike on cars, coupled with an official policy that could kill as many Americans in one year as have been killed so far in five years of the Iraq War.
This is what happens when you have a congress that is only interested in appearances. The fact is, this new energy bill will not reduce our reliance on foreign oil and it will have no effect on global warming. What it will do is make us all a little poorer and a little less safe.
Perhaps the intent was good, but then, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Weee-ooooooo-weeeeeeee-oooooooo
From the Head Huckanut himself:
MIKE HUCKABEE: We're doing OK in South Carolina. We're up on television, we've got a good budget here, a good buy. We also have an extraordinary ground operation in South Carolina. I really believe we're going to win here; it makes sense for us to win here. We're working hard. We don't take anything for granted. Voters in South Carolina are very smart.
I don't think they're responding very well -- there's so much negative. There's a bunch of Washington special interest groups that are coming into town today [the Club for Growth and Freedom Works are holding a joint presser on the Huckabee record] to attack me. It's amazing. I'm the only guy who's just getting hammered from some of these special interest groups, and I think that'll really turn for me and against some of these folks. Because it's pretty obvious that, there's gotta be, almost this, I don't want to use the word conspiracy, but there's just an anxiety that exists in the Washington power circles about our candidacy.

Ah. The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy rears its head once again.

Move over Paultards...
Me:
I can't and I won't get behind Mike Huckabee, in fact, I wouldn't back him for dog catcher.
I'm backing Fred Thompson right now.
christians4jews:
well thats pointless.
Fred thompson is practically dead, as chaim said is the laziest candidate ever. He supports mccaine who is a illegal immigrant nutjob and wants 20 million in america.
I really think you should reconsider and ote for huckabee.
Fred thomson is a wasted vote...
Me:
Don't be ridiculous. Fred is far from dead, and its way too early to make the assumption that any of these guys will win or lose. I don't believe Fred is lazy either, although you might if you only pay attention to the MSM. I have been informed and aware of what he does, and where he does it.
Huckabee is a terribly flawed candidate, he has way too many ethics problems, financial misdeeds while in office, and his history of pardoning anyone and everyone who claims "I found Jesus" is sickening.
Sorry but no, I won't back him.
christians4jews:
So basically you are anti christian, thats what it boils down to.
You have nothing to back up your hate for huckabee apart from he s arightous man, and hes the best on israel, hes The best on energy independence and hes the best on moral issues and hes the best on the 2nd ammendment....
Bsically you are a liberal leftist pseudo con, admit it, why dont you vote for the muslim hussein obamba while yuo are at it
Me:
Excuse me, but, only a flat out fanatical lunatic would call me anti-Christian for what I said up there.
Sorry, since when is shady financial deals, lying to the public, and questionable ethics the mark of a righteous man?
You call me a liberal leftist pseudo con? Piss up a rope dude, because when you compare Huckabee, who is pro-illegal aliens, pro amnesty, soft on crime, all for high taxes and high spending, big on big government and he supports International Carbon Credit Trading, he's the liberal and you're supporting him. In fact, he's the same on these issues as Obama is, and Hillary, and Ewards too, as well and the rest of the democrats, so why don't you plan on voting for Obama yourself.
My conservative credentials have long been established, if not here, elsewhere. You, and anyone else on this board, are more than welcome to google my name and see who I am and what I stand for.
In the internet world, you are snot nosed kid nipping at the ankles of the adults. If you want to participate in a discussion, you better show a little bit of common courtesy and common decency. Name calling is the badge of honor for the looney left, and you are exibiting an awful lot of anti-social behavior.
christians4jews:
roflflYou are either extremely mentally ill(i think you are) or you are a muslim loving neo con. Either way you are full of evil.
I want you to answer these questions.
1) if the court ordered huckabee and the people voted for tax raises, then what is he suppose to do you idiot???
2) who are you going to vote for???Are you a bible believer, if so, who are you going to vote for....
3) this is huckabees record in arkasas, please debunk each point....
• Improved roads from the worst in the nation to most improved.
• Left office with a record budget surplus, after inheriting a deficit
• Grew the Arkansas economy at a rate higher than the national average
• Sponsored the largest broad-based tax cut in Arkansas history
• Cut the state welfare rolls in half
• Created the innovative health-care program for Arkansas children called ARKids, cutting the number of uninsured children in half.
• Created the innovative Smart Start and Smart Step education programs, which led to markedly improved student test scores
• Created the innovative Smart Core curriculum standards, which led to a massive increase in the number of AP tests taken by high-schoolers.
• Chaired the National Governors’ Association
• Named one of America’s Top 5 Governors by TIME
• Named a “Distinguished Public Health Legislator of the Year” in 2005
• Awared the AARP’s Impact Award in 2006
• Named a top “Doer, Dreamer & Driver” by Government Technology magazine, after leading AR to a top 10 finish in the 2004 Digital States Survey.
• Effectively handled the influx of 75,000 Katrina evacuees4) chaim is far more well informed, intelligent and superior to you, i wil take his judgement over some muslim loving anti chrstian person like you...
Me:
Oh my. You sound a little upset there buddy.
So, I am mentally ill, a muslim loving neo con, full of evil, and idiot and an anti-Christian simply because I do not support Mike Huckabee?
Thanks for the entertainment.
christians4jews:
lindasog treanslator "i got out debated by christisn4jews and chaim and i cannot make a decent come back, so im leaving this thread"
You really are pathetic....
Me:
pssst... hate to tell ya, but calling someone names is not debating.
Oh, you forgot a few things on your Huckabee list... like the fourteen separate investigations into his his ethics by the ethics commission, and the five times, he was officially reprimanded for his ethics violations. And all the other mini-scandals and embarrassments along the way.
Like when he used public money for family restaurant meals, boat expenses, and other personal uses. Like when he tried to claim as his own some $70,000 of furniture donated to the governor's mansion.
And the "wedding gift registry" he set up after his failed bid to take the furniture from the governor's mansion, so public would buy him furnishings for his new $525,000 home. As Huck says, "there there should be no limit on gifts short of a bribe."
And the all the times he refused to divulge the names of donors to a "charitable" organization he set up while lieutenant governor -- an outfit whose main charitable purpose seemed to be to pay Huckabee to make speeches. Oh, and how he fudged his taxes, misreporting the income itself from the suspicious "charity."
Oh, and there's no need to mention his wife who, in response to inquiries about the donors to that charity, responded by saying that a donor's name "wouldn't be enough. [Then] you'd want to know who he was married to, and then his wife would be German descent, and you'd have Mike, you'd have him responsible for 600,000 killings of Jews."
And about his misuse of the state airplane for personal reasons.
And, you forgot to mention the governor's attacks on the media for reporting the transgressions of his administration, rather than making any effort whatsoever to make things right.
And, of course, you forgot to mention that his pardon pen, which he brandished for anyone who claimed he "found Jesus," secure the release of already-well-known rapist Wayne Dumond, the released convict sexually assaulted and murdered at woman in Missouri, and probably two, with the other being pregnant at the time of her death.
That's okay though. Obviously, calling me a liberal leftist pseudo con, mentally ill, a muslim loving neo con, full of evil, an idiot and an anti-Christian has stretched your intellectual capacity to its limits.
christians4jews:
So who are you voting for
No it did not stretch my limits, huckabee on paper is by far the best candidate, i never said his past was perfect, but you look at the other candidates, i you could smear all of them much worse than huckabee.
Tkae ruudy for example, he has more corruptions scandals than the mob.
You still wont dare say who you are backing
You keep watching fox news you pseudo con sodomite.
As chaim said "its a disgrace if jews dont vote for huckabee since he feels its there divine right to be in israel"
You really are a disgrace, it wouldnt surpise me if you vote for mccaine as you are a hippy...
Me:
Obviously, you have a little trouble with reading comprehension as well as a general lack of social skills, read up the thread, I very clearly stated who I was backing for this election.
Listen carefully, you silly little twit, name calling has no place in debate, if you want to have an adult discussion, grow up, leave the name calling out of it, and discuss things.
christians4jews:
There is nothoing to debate, you are backing fred thompson a man who its debatable whether he will even live through to february the 5th let alone be part of it, you are a complete waste of time, and have proved to be mentally ill in your backing of thompson...
Evil just runs through your body....
Sheesh. I don't know why I stuck with it for so long, it was like "debating" with a paultard.

If at first you don't succeed..
Security workers employed by the Israel Airport Authority uncovered two tons of fertilizer used in the manufacturing of Qassam rockets on Monday afternoon, the substantial amount of explosive material was concealed in a truck allegedly transporting humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
The security officials manning the Kerem Shalom border crossing discovered the smuggling attempt during a random inspection of vehicles carrying humanitarian equipment and goods.
This is the second such incident to occur this week.
And, before you go thinking that the "second such incident" was the 6.5 ton shipment of potassium nitrate hidden in "sugar" bags, well, that was back on December 29, 2007.
Here's some good news... it appears that Ehud Olmert is now considering a sure fire way to stop the palestinians from using humanitarian aid shipments to sneak weapons past the IDF and into Israel:
Way to go Olmert! That ought to kill at least a few Jews!

Olmert agrees to the right of return
As it turns out, the deleted article I talked about here was 100% accurate. President Bush did indeed talk about negotiating the palestinian right of return. Last night, the Sultan Knish linked me to the White House release that confirmed it.
And early this morning, one of the posters at The Muqata stopped by to give me a heads up, he not only heard President Bush's remarks on the radio, he has a screenshot of the deleted JPost article:
I also saw this story on the Jerusalem Post website, on Wednesday night. The headline was "Says 'Palestinian right of return' must be discussed", and it contained the following paragraph:
At the same time Bush called for all issues to be addressed during negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians -- including the Palestinian 'right of return.'
This article was located here. However, the content of the article was altered significantly within a few hours after I read it. The headline was changed from "Says 'Palestinian right of return' must be discussed" to "Bush: An historic opportunity for peace". Most significantly, the key passage citing Bush's call for negotiations on the "right of return" was mysteriously deleted, and in its place was the following:
Upon his arrival at Ben-Gurion Airport, Bush said that the US's alliance with Israel helps "guarantee Israel's security as a Jewish state." This is widely considered code for a rejection of the Palestinian claim of the "right of return." Bush made no mention of this at the press conference.
In other words, not only did the Post expunge the fact that Bush spoke of the "right of return" and imply instead that he actually opposes it -- but they even went so far as to state that Bush "made no mention" of it! This is a complete, outright lie: Bush most certainly did make mention of it. It can be found in the transcript provided by the White House, cited above. I myself heard it on tape, played on Reshet Bet Thursday morning. And the Jerusalem Post itself reported it – before they deleted that report and flatly denied that the statement was ever made. Luckily, I didn’t have to start doubting my own sanity: The original version of the article was still open on my computer, and I saved a copy of it.
And this morning, Arutz Sheva has this:
(IsraelNN.com) The issue of "Arab refugees" has long been a matter of widespread consensus in Israel, with even left-wing parties declaring that allowing them into Israel would endanger its very existence as a Jewish state. Nevertheless, the subject does not appear to be going away. Reports are that Prime Minister Olmert has now agreed to allow 50,000 Arabs who left Israel in 1948 - or are descendants of those who did - to enter and live in Israel.
Channel Ten reported Thursday night that in a private meeting between Olmert and Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen, the two agreed that in the final-status agreement, Israel would withdraw from 92% of Judea and Samaria, including all the non-Jewish neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem. It was also agreed that 50,000 "refugees from 1948" would enter and live in the State of Israel.
Staffers in Olmert's office did not deny the report, and even hinted that it was at least partially accurate.
Let's be clear about exactly who these 50,000 palestinians are, and what they believe:
Let there be no doubt, the palestinian people are monsters, obsessed with death and destruction.
Woe unto thee, America, for you have no idea what the consequences of these actions will mean in the future, for what is happening in Israel is nothing but a small part of the islamic agenda to cleanse all lands of all kufirs, infidels and jews, and to rule those lands according to islamic law.
Woe unto you George W. Bush, for you have embraced a monster. If your actions today bear fruit tomorrow, it is your children who will suffer. As they suffer, surely they will curse your name and your memory. They will curse you and those like you who bowed their head and looked the other way, who supported and nurtured the beast. Indeed, for if the islamic agenda is successful, it will have been because of the actions of you and those like you that in end, sentenced them to suffer under the very same monster you embrace today.
As Israel suffers, so shall the world, for nothing less than the death or enslavement of every single American, every single "unbeliever" throughout the world, will satisfy Islamists. This is not new and has nothing to do with Israel, which is considered by Islam to be the "Little Satan" that must be destroyed before they can destroy the "Big Satan" that is America.
Woe unto you Ehud Olmert, as you do the work of our enemies and bring upon us the darkest darkness. We of faith know that the darkest darkness heralds the coming of the light. We of faith have faith in Hashem.
“Kol Ha’hatchalot kashot” -- “Beginnings are always difficult”
"... the march of resistance will continue until the islamic flag is raised not only over the minarets of Jerusalem but over the whole universe... " Hamas Leader Mahmoud Zahar, January 16, 2004
It has begun.

JPost Switcheroo - What did Bush Say about the Right of Return?
The Jerusalem Post has materially altered an article on President Bush's visit to Israel yesterday to remove a statement by President Bush that appears to be in support of the palestinian right of return, changing the article so radically that it now that President Bush said the direct opposite of what the original article reported.
On January 9, 2008, the Jerusalem Post published an article about President Bush's comments during his visit. I first saw it at Theodore's World, and it said:
Visiting US President George Bush called on Israel to remove "illegal outposts" in the West Bank, saying that "they simply ought to go" during an evening press conference shared by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday.
At the same time Bush called for all issues to be addressed during negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians - including the Palestinian 'right of return.'
The article was linked on the interent, I found discussions about it posted on other websites besides Theodore's World. Mere Rhetoric posted about it here and I found the same article on Free Republic.
My first thought was "what fresh hell is this?" Did Bush really say that the right of return has to be negotiated? Can that possibly be true?
Bush has never pushed this issue before, and in fact, he has supported the opposite. In April of 2004, Bush outraged the entire arab world when he backed Israel’s declaration that Palestinian refugees have no right of return. That declaration came at a critical time in Israel's history, as Sharon was preparing for the expulsion of Jews from Gaza as a "good faith" gesture for peace. At that time, not only did Bush denounce the "right of return," Bush stated he believed the Israelis in Judea and Samaria should stay where they are.
Today, George Bush wants to see those same Israelis thrown out of Judea and Samaria. Today, Bush has changed his mind on that issue, he now wants Judea and Samaria to be Jew-free, but is he also now backing the right of return? It cannot be disputed that President Bush has done a tremendous amount of harm to Israel with his "road map," perhaps more harm than any previous American President, but President Bush has never before backed the right of return.
But then, never means "up till now," doesn't it? And it would appear from the original JPost article that George Bush has changed his mind, not only about a Judenrein Judea and Samaria, but also on the right of return.
And now, the article has been changed to reflect a completely different view of the issue:
"Upon his arrival at Ben-Gurion Airport, Bush said that the US's alliance with Israel helps "guarantee Israel's security as a Jewish state." This is widely considered code for a rejection of the Palestinian claim of the "right of return." Bush made no mention of this at the press conference."
At some point yesterday, January 10, 2008, almost 24 hours after the article was originally published, the quotes concerning Bush's comments about the right of return vanished without a trace, and without an explanation. Instead of issuing a correction or clarification, JPost just deleted it. Why?
The early commentary on the JPost article showed quite a bit of outrage:
17. BushThere is no "Right of return". Therefore, only resettlement and/or compensation is to be discussed.
yudl - (01/09/2008 22:15)22. THE FIX IS IN !The fix is in. The agreement is that Omertwill say that the arabs will give in on the right of return, and in order to avoid having a a few million arabs return, he will have no choice but to give in on Jerusalem. After all, he's only trying to save Israel for the Jews. What a load of baloney. He's trying to save himself.
Bubba - (01/09/2008 22:31)25. Right Of Return - Kibbosh! The "right of return" huh? If that's really on the table, there is nothing to talk about. Unless Israel wants to sign its death warrant.
29. right of return and two statesI agree with the many posters past and present that there already exist two states and a new "2nd" one is redundant. Disregarding that for the moment though, if there has to be another "Palestinian " state, why on earth do we need to discuss the right of return? This seems to mean, carve up Israel a bit more and then flood what's left with masses of "Palestinians". I O W why do you need both a new state as well as the right to return to Israel? the answer to that rhetorical question is obvious, is it not?
norman a blumberg - USA (01/09/2008 23:2233. Surprise! Bush just voided his own committment letter of 2004 to SharonThat letter made clear that any Palestinian "right of return" would only be to a Palestinian state, and that any territorial settlement must take into account the demographic changes on the ground. The suggestion that the right of return be "addressed" during negotiations effectively negates his own commitments. Any push to move to the borders of 1967 would similarly show that this President's words mean nothing. And, really, his first question to Abbas should deal with incitement, not rockets.
Raymond from DC - USA (01/09/2008 23:42)34. The Right of Return is a Non-Starter!The Palestinian "right of r eturn" cannot be implemented - not because it will be the end of the Jewish State (through peaceful assimilation- but because the lunatic moslems will simply create death and destruction once they are on the territory of the Zionist entity!
philip freed - USA (01/09/2008 23:42)38. Says x and means yHow about right of return for all the American Indians. How about a roadmap for a black African state. How about making painful concession of cancilling out sale of smart bombs for 30 billion bucks to the Saudis in a few days or freeing pollard. How about if your country was in similar predicament as Israel's, you would tear up roadmap to bits, remember Cuba 90 miles away what if they were 2 miles away like Palestine to Israel. Who's kidding who.
Truth Puller - (01/09/2008 23:5442. A 'Right of Return'implies a 'past'. A past that is documented in history. A past as a nation perhaps. I rather wonder what 'PAST' is being referred to when one 'discusses' a Palestinian Right to Return. Seems that the definition is much like Clinton's definition of sex.
Morton Friedman - USA (01/10/2008 00:15)48. Right of return = death to the Jewish StateBush is 100% insane to go to Israel and tell it to commit suicide. Send that evil moron and Rice packing!
Preston - USA (01/10/2008 00:36)50. Right of Return? If Bush is so interested in the right of return, I'd suggest he'd better be careful of what he wishes for. He might not like what he gets. I have relatives who could be interested in their return to their ancestrial homes in Kreis Stolp in Pommerania. I have some old friends out in the Rosebud in South Dakota who would be interested in the return of the Black Hills. And my sons have some Cherokee ancestry, so they might be interested in the return of the Cherokee to Georgia.
Gary Glaser - USA (01/10/2008 00:50)51. Bush's statement (if it was just the following) was just a clumsy bungle.I suppose the "right of return" statement was the following by Bush, in response to a question: "You just heard the man [ i.e. Olmert] talk about their desire to deal with core issues, which I guess for the uneducated on the issue, that means dealing with the issues like territory and right of return and Jerusalem." This would seem to be just a clumsy bungled statement, not a thought-through statement of US principles. It can thus be forgotten as insignificant.
Arnold - Canada (01/10/2008 01:05)54. Land promiseGod promised the land already populated. God promised the land to the people that never lived at the land. Where is beginning? Do Israel have any obligations for $30bn, or it is for free lunch.
Lana - USA (01/10/2008 02:21)55. bush is grasping at straws...israel should never be forced into palistinian "right of return" nor should he be dictating removal of settlements. the arabs will not honor any agreement anyway. bush is stalling to forgo the next major war,but it's coming anyway.
doug - usa (01/10/2008 02:39)78. What Right of Return ?The Right of Return is a request totally out of line, because it was the "Pal"Arabs to begin with, who started the war in 1948 immediately after the state of Israel came into being and the Arab-neighbours told the Arabs in Israel to flee, which they did ! They left believing that they will temporarily stay out of the way of their Arab-brothers determined to annihiliate the Jews. The Arabs born after 1948 outside Israel, have NO right to Israel whatsoever!
Aliza - (01/10/2008 18:33)79. What Right of Return? - 2The Persian Moslems invaded Israel, the Land of the JEWS, where they already had lived 2000 years(!), in 614 AC. These Moslem invadors islamisized the JEWS´ HOMEland in the following 400 years and changed the name of Jerusalem for "El Kuds"! The presence of these Moslem ivadors in Israel has lasted the past 1396 years. NOW they demand a "right of return" to the Land they STOLE, INVADED and OCCUPIED !Aliza - (01/10/2008 18:40)
That's nearly 22 hours of commentary objecting to the right of return, and then, the commentary changes, with no mention of the right of return at all, presumably after the article itself changed. While it's clear that the article was changed, it's unclear when, or why. If it was a misquote, that's one hell of a misquote. What exactly did Bush say? It seems impossible that such a grave mistake was made in understanding what the President said.
The facts of the "refugee problem" do not support any right of return.
Immediately after the formation of Israel in 1948, they were invaded by five arab states, hell bent on destruction. Their stated goal was to drive the Jews into the sea. The arab armies told the locals to evacuate so they wouldn’t be caught in the crossfire, promising them that later they could return and dance on the graves of dead Jews. It is estimated that roughly 600,000 arabs followed that advice, but, the number is highly disputed. UN estimates have ranged from 360,000 to 950,000. The discrepancy is due to the fact that arabs from every arab country in the MidEast came running to be a "refugee."
At the same time, 800,000 Jews were literally driven out of other arab countries, some from homes their families had known for millennia. They had a choice, stay and be killed by rampaging arabs or emigrate to Israel.
There is no right of return and there are no "refugees." It's called mass migration, generally caused by war, revolution or politics. Traditionally, those migrants are absorbed by other countries. At the end of World War II, there were Hindus and Moslems who ended up in India or Pakistan respectively, there were Greeks and Armenians who fled from Turkey, Holocaust survivors weren’t permitted to return to their homes in Eastern Europe, and there were plenty of French settlers who forced out of Algeria at the time of its independence.
These so-called "refugees" have not been allowed to settle in the "indivisible Arab nation." They have been supported in camps since 1948, receiving hundreds of millions, billions of dollars over the years.. and while the arabs throughout the Middle East cry crocodile tears for their poor suffering palestinian brothers and sisters, none of the 24 arab countries has opened their arms to embrace them as new citizens. Instead, these refugees and their descendants, were dumped into camps of poverty and degradation for the world to see, further fanning the flames of hatred. Bottom line is that these arabs are not now, and never were, the problem or responsibility of Israel.
The facts of the "refugee problem" do not support any right of return, not for the so-called palestinian refugees and not for the Jews expelled from arab countries at the same time. You see, no matter the circumstances, it really boils down to a population exchange. Israel absorbed the Jews expelled from arab countries, those arab countries should absorb the arabs who fled from Israel. If there were 600,000 arabs, well, there were 800,000 Jews. To even things up and make it really fair, Israel should be able to expel another 200,000 arabs.
The number of so called refugees is still disputed, but are said to now number between 4 and 6 million and that number would more than double if the right of return is ever given to the arabs. Israel would be overwhelmed and overcome by arab hordes rushing triumphantly into Israel, crying out their victory, Chrad al Yahood - Kill the Jews. Israel would cease to exist, and in its place, there would be just another arab country. Let there be no mistake, to support the right of return is to support the destruction of the State of Israel.
Yahoo had an article that highlighted the new elements to Bush's peace plan for the Middle East which said the direct opposite to the JPost article quoted above:
One new element was the suggestion that the international community should help compensate Palestinians and their descendants who claim a right to return to land they held before Israel's formation.
That doesn't sound like Bush is backing the right of return to me, but he's changed his mind before, has he changed it again? Did the JPost make it up? Or did they get with the program?
I've written the author of the article, Herb Keinon, and asked for an explanation. That was over 12 hours ago and I've not yet received a reply. I don't expect to.

Ron Paul Issues Statement
"The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts. ... When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publically taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name." - Ron Paul
a/k/a the Shaggy Defense:
Honey came in and she caught me red-handed
Creeping with the girl next door
Picture this, we were both butt naked,
banging on the bathroom floor
How could I forget that I had
Given her an extra key
All this time she was standing there
She never took her eyes off me
~ ~ ~
To be a true player you have to know how to play
If she say a night, convince her say a day
Never admit to a word when she say makes a claim
And you tell her baby no way
But she caught me on the counter
(It wasn't me)
Saw me bangin' on the sofa
(It wasn't me)
I even had her in the shower
(It wasn't me)
She even caught me on camera
(It wasn't me)
She saw the marks on my shoulder
(It wasn't me)
Heard the words that I told her
(It wasn't me)
Heard the scream get louder
(It wasn't me)
She stayed until it was over
Honey came in and she caught me red-handed
Creeping with the girl next door
Picture this, we were both butt naked,
banging on the bathroom floor
I had tried to keep her
From what she was about to see
Why should she believe me
When I told her it wasn't me
Yannow, I don't think it worked for Shaggy either.

You may think that you're a player
But you're completely lost

A warm welcome for GWB
Along with Qassams from Gaza and katyushas from Lebanon, to welcome President Bush the residents of Hamastan waved signs showing George W. Bush as a vampire swigging Muslim blood and burned the American Flag:

More than just provocation
This is an outrage:
Quite frankly, it reminds me of this:

On October 12, 2000, a small boat exploded alongside the USS Cole killing 17 sailors, wounding 39 others, and leaving extensive damages.
The USS Cole was refueling in the port city of Aden, Yemen. Officials believe that two suicide bombers crashed the small boat into the USS Cole, detonating a bomb. Yemeni officials discovered bomb making equipment in a house near Aden and believe that the two men spent several days there planning the attack.
The bombing of the USS Cole was a deliberate act of war by al-Qaeda, and it went ignored and unavenged by the Clinton Administration. I'm sure he pointed his finger as he said "If, as it now appears, this was an act of terrorism, it was a despicable and cowardly act. We will find out who was responsible and hold them accountable." Strong words from a weak man, in the end, Clinton did nothing.
I'm both thankful and surprised that we did not lose any good men yesterday.
Iran is posturing, yes, but... they are laughing at us in Iran right now, and I both fear and believe that these little unanswered provocations will eventually lead to the loss of good men on the front lines, and here at home. This country needs get serious about the threat to our safety, well being and way of life.
G-d Bless America! Pray for our Troops.

Oh those evil Jews!
Lesbianism is now a weapon of war:
Religious scholars in Egypt are outraged by a lesbian scene in a new movie, telling audiences to stay away from the sinful flick and calling for the director and actresses to be prosecuted.
Preacher and Islamic Studies professor at Cairo University, Dr. Abdel-Sabour Shahin accused the new movie, Hina Maysara (Until Further Notice), of spreading homosexuality and promoting debauchery.
He called on authorities to prosecute the director of the movie and the two actresses, Ghada Abdel-Razeq and Sumaya Al-Khashab, who enacted the lesbian encounter on the big screen.
Ghada Abdel-Razeq (L) and Sumaya Al-Khashab (R)Shahin claimed the movie is part of "a Zionist and American conspiracy" which uses this sort of movie to destroy the moral fabric of society.
Quote of the day:
Professor of Islamic Law at Al-Azhar Elwi Amin said watching sex scenes -- whether gay or heterosexual -- in movies is considered a sin. Amin claimed there is no lesbianism in Egypt and said there would never be.
I just love a good conspiracy, don't you?

Islamotard Rumor of the Day
I divorce you! *flush*
I divorce you! *flush*
I divorce you! *flush*
Dusseldorf (dpa) - German police are hunting a housewife on murder charges after she allegedly told her children she had flushed their father down the toilet.
The man, a taxi-driver, vanished three weeks ago. Police in the western city of Dusseldorf believe the wife, 52, chopped him up and disposed of 100 kilograms of body parts in garbage bins and down the toilet.
The Muslim couple hated one another.
After her adult children asked where he was, she replied: ``You'll never find him. I've put him down the loo.''
Neighbours said the toilet had been flushed constantly on the night he disappeared.
The woman left Germany and was last seen in her native Macedonia, according to the police.
German police will issue an international warrant for her arrest, but are aware that Macedonia does not extradite its own citizens.
Police scientists said the couple's apartment had been energetically cleaned and repainted, but using disclosing solutions they found bloodstains in the living room, hall and bathroom. Experts are to search the sewer next.
Police voiced amazement that the husband, 58, had never reported her previous attempts to poison him or the time she seriously injured him with a hammer.
Hmph. Another marriage down the toilet...

How Bizarre!
Back in November, I posted a bit of satire about a website, Who Would the World Elect, which invited people from all over the world to express their opinion on who should be the next president of the United States. It was a good idea, and while the results would be completely unimportant, they might have been interesting, except the paultards discovered it and spammed it all to hell.
Now, The Urban Grind Blog tells us about uber-liberal euro-weenies who have taken the concept to heart and demand the right to vote in US elections:
American presidential elections are not “home affairs.” American decisions have repercussions all over the globe. The American mortgage crisis affects banks in Europe. The insatiable American demand for oil makes the Arabian sheiks rich. The American refusal to care for the environment causes the North Pole ice to melt and coastal areas in Asia to flood. A weakened dollar and an immense budget deficit affect the global economy.
Hence, the world should be given the right to vote. Because the current situation is a blatant case of taxation without representation, against which the Americans rebelled in 1776. But of course the world will not be allowed to vote. The best we can hope for is that the Americans choose a leader who is deeply aware of the U.S.’s responsibility, as a superpower, for the rest of mankind.
I might comment about this, if I could stop laughing long enough to do so.
Maybe later.

Hmmmm... now where have I heard that number before?
LEWISTON (NEWS CENTER) -- Members of the Somali community in Lewiston say a poster put up in front of a local Somali owned store is an insult to their religion.
The poster depicts a vicious "lost" dog named Mohammed. That's the name of the Muslim prophet. It says that the dog is not good with children and can't be trusted.
Hussein Ahmed, the owner of the store, says the phone number on the poster is fake and that the only place it was put up was right near his business.
"This is really a religious statement," said Hussein Ahmed, "that is an attack on our religion which we don't feel comfortable with. We see this as a very bad insulting situation."
-----
Of course it's insulting, anyone know where I can lodge a complaint on behalf of Rottweillers? Poor thing, no wonder he's mean, being named after the prophet of doom.
Why are you in my country? Go home Ahmed.

Amen

There ought to be a law
Here in the land of Iguana Rain, there are lots of things that are illegal:
• In Sarasota, It is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit.
• In Daytona Beach, the molestation of trash cans is banned.
• In Tampa, rats are forbidden to leave the ships docked the Bay.
• In Hialeah, ambling and strolling is a misdemeanor.
• In Florida it is illegal to fish while driving across a bridge.
• In Florida, unmarried women who parachute on Sundays may be jailed.
• In Miami, it is forbidden to imitate an animal.
• In Sarasota it is illegal to sing in a public place while attired in a swimsuit.
• In Key West, chickens are considered a 'protected species'.
• In Pensacola, It is illegal to roll a barrel on any street.
• In Sarasota, if you hit a pedestrian you are fined $78.00; and, you may not catch crabs.
All that nonsense on the books and yet, if you wanna have sex with an animal, other than a porcupine, there's no law against it:
After a goat was raped and killed in a Panhandle town, animal activists, police and citizens were almost as shocked to find out that bestiality isn't a crime in Florida.
So, if there's a particular goat, or sheep you have your eye on... you better hurry, because that law is about to be changed.
In the Sudan, there would have been wedding bells ringing.

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you
IRVING, Texas — Police continued searching for a man suspected of shooting his two teenage daughters, including one who called 911 about an hour before officers found them dead in his taxi, police said.
Yaser Abdel Said, 50, of the Dallas suburb of Lewisville, is accused of shooting Sarah Yaser Said, 17, and Amina Yaser Said, 18, in his taxi Tuesday night and abandoning it in a parking lot, leaving them to die.
One of the teens called 911 on a cell phone about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and said she was shot, but she couldn't tell police where she was, Irving police said.
He shot, then he left them to die.

Face to Face with Jay Robert Grodner, Anti-Military Asshat
Yep, this is him, in all his glory:

Attorney Jay Robert Grodner
This is the anti-war asshat lawyer that keyed Marine Sgt Mike McNulty's car.
Marine Sgt Mike McNulty is on activation orders to Iraq (second tour). On December 1st, 2007, Mike went to visit a friend in Chicago before deploying to say goodbye. In order to get to his friend's residence, and keep in mind that Chicago is a myriad of diagonal and one-way streets, the front entrance (right way) to the one-way street was blocked. Mike, being a Marine, overcame and adapted by driving around the block to the other end of the street and backing up all the way to his friend's place.
While saying goodbye, at about 11am, he noticed a man leaning up against his car. Mike left his friend's apartment and caught the man keying his car on multiple sides.
As it turns out, the man is Chicago lawyer Jay R. Grodner, who owns a law firm in the city and has offices in the suburbs.
Head on over to Blackfive for the full story.
The asshat nearly missed showing up at court, my buddy Nigel tells us that Groder told the court he was late because the traffic was bad, and he made a wrong turn. Since the warrant hadn’t actually been issued prior to his arrival, the court granted a continuance.
‘tis true about Grodner's prior charges. Nigel found that he was disciplined by the Bar for being involved in a scheme to forge documents, and since then, engaged in a conflict of interest with his clients, has abandoned his clients, has engaged in false billing, has engaged in a fraud upon his clients, provided ineffective assistance of counsel, and has engaged in a “fraud upon the court”.
He’ll likely be disbarred over this, unless he heads off to rehab. I’m sad to say, the Bar is generally sympathetic to rehab.
UPDATE: The mocking has commenced.
