If at first you don't succeed..

try try again...

Security workers employed by the Israel Airport Authority uncovered two tons of fertilizer used in the manufacturing of Qassam rockets on Monday afternoon, the substantial amount of explosive material was concealed in a truck allegedly transporting humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

The security officials manning the Kerem Shalom border crossing discovered the smuggling attempt during a random inspection of vehicles carrying humanitarian equipment and goods.

This is the second such incident to occur this week.

And, before you go thinking that the "second such incident" was the 6.5 ton shipment of potassium nitrate hidden in "sugar" bags, well, that was back on December 29, 2007.

Here's some good news... it appears that Ehud Olmert is now considering a sure fire way to stop the palestinians from using humanitarian aid shipments to sneak weapons past the IDF and into Israel:

Way to go Olmert! That ought to kill at least a few Jews!

I'm not much of a follower of Israeli politics, but I've never heard much good about this Ohlmert guy. The most prominent (and recent) Israeli PM I have "followed" to any degree was Benjamin Netanyahu, and probably because I was in Saudi during most of his premiership (you can well imagine the Arab press' treatment of him, combined with my contempt for the oxymoron of "Arab Press," pretty much made me like the guy).

Who, in your opinion, was the best PM in the past 20 years? Also, is there a person in the wings that you'd like to see become PM?

Been a lot of weakness over that time period Kevin. Ariel Sharon did good, at first, right up until he changed, turned, and went against everything he stood for when he ran. I'd like to see Arieh Eldad take the office.

Thanks Linda, I'd expect Jorge to demand the Israeli's to not harass those peaceful Palestinians who are only trying to bring fertilizer in for their crops. He probably has promised Abbas an emergency airlift of the stuff from Mexico via C5A's since UNWRA has failed to keep up with the demands for it. Is that called 'baksheesh' or 'baksheesh, baba!'?
