Satellite data shows that concerns over the levels of sea ice may have been premature.

It was feared that the polar caps were vanishing because of the effects of global warming.

But figures from the respected US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration show that almost all the “lost” ice has come back.

Ice levels which had shrunk from 13million sq km in January 2007 to just four million in October, are almost back to their original levels.

Figures show that there is nearly a third more ice in Antarctica than is usual for the time of year.

They add that snow cover across the area is at its greatest since 1966.

Just think, both of the "frontrunners" for the Presidency are global warming nutjobs, both McCain and Obama support mandatory carbon credits and a fifty-cent carbon surcharge on gasoline usage.

On the issues that will directly effect this country, life in this country, McCain is the same as Hillary and Obama. The only real difference is the war. Ask yourself, will there be anything left of this country after the war?

Imagine if you have to make a choice.

Are you willing to accept the coming "global warming" backlash of mandatory carbon credits by city and state and the increased taxes and penalties that will come along with it? Carbon surcharges will destroy our economy. Corporations will be penalized the most, driving costs through the roof. They will cut staff and raise prices. Americans will do without certain things, how many corporations will close because they simply cannot continue?

Mandatory carbon credits applied to cities and states will certainly raise taxes, where do you really think that money is going to come from?

Don't like the cost of gas now? Wait till they hit us with a fifty-cent carbon surcharge per gallon. Add that to the increase cost of living, increased taxes, unemployment due to closed business and the tightening of belts, and ask yourself, how much of this can this country take?

And if these policies are put into place by a republican, what do think our chances will be 2012? A liberal agenda put in place by a republican will destroy any chances we have.

Ask yourself, "What's worse, a moderate seeming Republican who can garner support for his Liberal plans.....or a wild eyed Leftist who cannot?"

When it comes to that liberal agenda, McCain will be more successful at putting those things in place than Obama, or even Hillary. Why? Well, because a perceived "moderate republican" will be able to garner enough support to do so. The party republicans in Congress will back him, whereas they might fight Obama or Hillary. And, make no mistake, if the horror of a liberal agenda comes to pass under McCain, it will be deemed the fault of the republicans.

On the other hand, an extremist democrat would not garner the same level of support and will likely have to fight every step of the way. That's a good thing. And, if its Hillary or Obama who implement these policies, then yes, American will still suffer but it will be an obvious democrat at fault and not a liberal in conservative clothing.

If McCain is successful, it will be a deemed a republican presidential fiasco and leave us holding the bag in the next election cycle. If Obama or Hillary are successful, well... then America will see what comes of socialist thinking, appeasement and the liberal agenda. Then, we might get things straightened out in 2012. If McCain implements all those things, well, we are doomed again in 2012.

That's why I won't back McCain no matter what.

Lets celebrate the return of the ice the Al Gore way. . . Chilean Sea Bass for everyone!

If Obama or Hillary are successful it will be more than a bunch of whacky Eco-stunts and pathetic Enviro-pandering - it'll be a return of the "Assault Weapon" Ban on steroids that will include hunting rifles ("sniper rifles") and "assault pistols", with the Lead Ammo Ban (Save the *insert_species*!) and ammunition Microstamping going National.
Really-really can't go there, no-way.

SOME say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice

I have to agree with you, a liberal agenda put into place by a republican would be a disaster for this country. but if I show up drunk enough to pull for obama or hillary, I might not be able to walk into the booth.

maybe I'll just stay home.

There's only one problem with your logic. I may be wrong, but something to think about before you decide to vote. If mr. Hussein does win the election, or hill'ry, the talking heads in the media are going to make like everything they do is pure sunshine. No matter what they do wrong, no matter how badly they screw us, it will never be their fault. Every idea they have will be profound genius, and if it doesn't work, it will be OUR fault. We will have four years for this brainwashing to take effect. Do you think a republican can be elected then? Ever again? Will we recognize this country and it's people in four years? Eight? I don't like McCain either, and in then end, the result will probably be the same if he is elected. I don't know if I'll vote or not either, haven't made up my mind. I think we're screwed either way, but I also believe that it is sometimes necessary to fight even when you know the battle is lost.

Randall, I just can't see voting for John McCain when he supports everything that I am against. Like Linda says, yeah, he's for the war, but how much damage will mccain do to the US while fighting the war? Even if you set aside the economic damage of this asinine global warming bullshit, what about the illegal immigrants? What about closing down gitmo and putting terrorists into our jails where the angry criminals are ripe for conversion to the death cult of islam and the glory of jihad.

McCain is nothing but a liberal democrat moonbat who wants to fight a war. That scares me.

Sorry for the bad language Linda.
