As a follow up to this:
You'll be happy to know that Yemen's islamic court has decided to terminate her "marriage" because she had not yet reached puberty and...
The court also ordered the child's family to pay about $250 in compensation to the 30-year-old ex-husband.
In poverty sticken Yemen, that's a nice chunk of change, paid to a pedophile, as compensation for losing his child bride. No word on what the child's future will hold, but hey, at least they didn't stone her to death for her sexual transgressions. I'm sure the family has plans for her, after all, they will have to restore their honor, won't they?

The "returned dowery" was paid on the spot by someone else in the courtroom.
Her honor hasn't been infringed because she was "married." Supposedly, her uncle is getting custody.

Thanks Foxfier, since the article I found didn't have that information, I guess you got that from another article.
I hope things go well for her, but somehow, I doubt it.

I've been searching for a lot of stuff on that Texas case, so I ran into a lot of stuff. I think Elder of Zion had some stuff.
She's awful brave. Wouldn't be surprised to find her in a Christian country one of these days, or founding some kind of a sane version of Islam.
