Thorns
First it was written:
"And if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the Land from before you, then those of them whom you allow to remain will become spikes in your eyes and thorns in your sides; and they will harass you upon the Land in which you dwell." -- Numbers 33:55
and now:
"In the beginning, in 1948, we were 150,000 Palestinians; and today, we are 1,300,000 thorns in their sides and rocks on their chests." -- Sheikh Kamal Khatib, Deuputy head of the Israeli Islamic Movement, Northern Branch, on May 9, 2008 at the Naqba rally in Kafr Kana, Israel.
At least 21 Qassam rockets fired from the Gaza Strip struck the western Negev on Saturday. A mortar strike filred by Hamas killed Jimmy Kdoshim, a 48-year-old Israeli civilian, as he was tending the garden of his home on Kibbutz Kfar Aza.

Sheikh Kamal Khatib should be reminded that in 1945 President Harry Truman used overwhelming force and destruction when he decided to use the atomic bomb on Japan for the purpose of saving lives and ending the war quickly in order to prevent a disastrous land invasion. The fact of the matter is that this strategy worked.
Israel can, without using nuclear weapons, use overwhelming force and destruction on 1,300,000 Palestinians if that is what it takes to save lives and end the war by Islamofascist jihad terrorists. History has a way of repeating itself.

Israel and her friends need to shout from the rooftops that the results in Gaza prove that the Palestinians do not mean to live up to their stories that they will let Israel live in peace if Israel just gives the Palestinians their own state with no settlements and easy borders. Israel should drop the so-called peace effort or Road Map (as the US definitely should do as well!) and consider re-taking Gaza. Continual attacks should not be tolerated.
Israel has shown time and again her sincerity; but enough is enough, the time for reciprocity for what Israel has already done is past and those promises should be kept before Israel has to move one more inch or release one more prisoner or allow one more shipment (that can be used to smuggle arms).
