I'd have to carve a hundred pounds of lard off my fat ass to get back into my uniform.:)Thanks for the Video.
This is a special day, I reflect on my fallen brothers, honor those who gave us freedom and those who sustain that freedom, give your father my deepest respect and thanks. Thank you Linda for all you do for us.

Just occurred to me while watching the vid (always moved by it every time I see it) that this year I've been retired from the Navy for as many years as I was in it -- 24 and 24.
Khaki pants are a bit loose, but the blues and whites still fit pretty well. Dress Blue jacket got lots of room in it, too. Weighed 163 when I joined, 176 when I retired, and 166 now. Doc sez I'm 20 lbs overweight. Wonder what he'll look like at 68.
Lotsa retired military in this neighborhood. About 6 houses down an old SMSGT who put up a flag every morning finally went on. House for sale now. I don't have a flagpole, but I still stop for morning colors when I hear it, especially at the NavEx or Commissary. Lotsa old guys don't. Not sure why. AcDu sometimes don't either if they're in civvies. Tempi cambi.

Good job, ET. If'n you lived out my way, I'd be proud to meet you for Morning Muster.
G-d I love this day. So many conversations with People who say, "Happy Memorial Day"..so many chances to share with my Kids.

When it got to the point he was putting on his uniform, I did a doubletake....then saw he was a Chief of some flavor, so it made sense. ;^p
Just knew the Irish Sports Page would show up soon.
Love it. Cried.
