Something... and Half of Something: Buh-Bye Pat Regan

Buh-Bye Pat Regan

Sadly, earlier this month, prominent anti-gun campaigner Pat Regan was stabbed to death by her own grandson, who suffers from "mental problems." He then went out and stabbed someone else.

You kinda have to wonder what Pat was thinking at the very end, perhaps... "Thank G-d guns are outlawed or I might be tempted to shoot him before he kills me." Or maybe it was just "I'm glad don't have one of those evil firearms because I might be tempted to shoot this crazy bastard before he stabs me to death."

No matter. The killer killed and Pat Regan, founder of Mothers Against Violence, still died a violent death at the hand of a crazy person, a crazy person who killed her, and then tried to kill someone else, for no good reason other than his own insanity. But since nobody got shot, we should all feel safer, right?

What do ya wanna bet that one day soon, an anti-knife campaigner will be battered to death with a fish?

Pat's anti-gun campaign began after her son was shot and killed. Never mind that her son was a scumbag who hung out with scumbags and a scumbag killed him, Pat still saw fit to dictate to the rest of the world about what we should and should not do. That's a strange thing to do when you consider that her own family is rather over-populated with murderers and scumbags.

You don't have the right to have something banned the second it negatively affects you or yours.

Pat learned a sad lesson the hard way, that weapons don't kill people, people kill people. If they don't shoot them with a gun, they'll stab them with a knife, or smother them with a pillow, or bludgeon them with a candlestick, or beat them with a baseball bat, or run over them with a car, or they'll just use their own bare hands. Yes, Pat found that out the hard way.

Wow. Kinda made me speechless. It's awful .. it is sad..and too much irony involved. I guess it goes without saying that "once a mother always a mother". Blinders seem to come with the title, too.

Hey now! I have been an advocate for a knife ban for quite a while! Keep your fish away from me!

There are many more people in hospitals with knife wounds than gun shots. I wonder why? We need to have mandatory training and licencing to keep nuts from harming themselves and others!

To make a good anti-knife post, just take an anti-gun post and change the relevant words. It is easy! If the Left is going to be stupid, might as well take it to another level.

Disclosure: Life NRA member.

I support the 2nd Ammendment and practice what I preach. I also support JFPO, though I'm not a member. There is sadness and irony here. However, only one person was killed and one injured.

In a totally disarmed society, millions are killed by the tyrants that inevitably come to power. The only way to be sure that another Holocaust never happens again is to not trust the government for your protection. You must trust yourself to be the best qualified person to protect you. If enough good people have a way to defend themselves and their loved ones, we will be safe from all but the most insane among us. And there's no way to defend against them, except distance.

Shalom!

We have the right to protect ourselves from people who think they have the god given right to carry weapons and use them.

Our 'protection' might just be a non-violent way. It worked for Ghandi and Dr. Martin Luthur King and the Dalai Lama seems to be doing okay using this strategy.

While some humans use weapons to kill, more humans like to stop innocents being killed -its called natural justice. thats why we have law courts and international laws and the UN.

mis-placed vitriol from the author doesn't negate that fact.
