Something... and Half of Something: I get by with a little help from my friends...

I get by with a little help from my friends...

Guess what was in my mailbox today?

Ha! Just what I needed for the headache, and it came from the other side of the country, all the way from SondraKisPstan, just to put a smile on my face, and it got here just when I really needed a smile.

It was a bad day with bad news. To quote the radiologist:

Interval development of invasion of the superior sagittal sinus superior to the torcula. This significantly narrows the flow-void of the superior sagittal sinus at this level.

Superior sagittal sinus adjacent to previously described extra-axial mass appears to have moderately decreased diameter, probably representing compression rather than invasion, although the latter cannot be totally excluded.

Yep. That means I've won the jackpot, the tumor is constricting the vein and I likely get to have surgery for that before I can have the radiation. Oh goody.

On a happy note, the decreased diameter of the vein "probably respresents compression rather than invasion, although the latter cannot be totally excluded." So, maybe the tumor is not actually growing in the vein, but they can't be sure. Great. I never even considered the possibility that it was growing inside the vein, but now I get to think about that.

sigh.

No words come to me right now. EXCEPT, you have lots and lots of friends in your corner - and you will make it thru this! This just sucks but you will come out stronger for it.

Hugs, Hugs and More Hugs to you. As always, you have been added to many prayer chains.

Hang in there Kid!

Good Luck and Gods good will. I stroke Rogers candle every time I'm there. Wait...that didn't sound right... but you know what I mean.

You are so very loved, Linda.
I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. You have so much to do for the world......

You don't know me from sasquatch, but you pop up in many places where I lurk (which is better than stalking). You have managed to make me think on occasion, laugh on others. Now you got me praying for you. This old grampa has a group of fifth graders from Parkland Lutheran School coming over for a birthday this week-end and I will personaly sick them on God for you. These kids have an in with him and I know he listens to 'em.
God bless you Linda.

Hey, you guy who's been stroking my candle. We prefer Lebanon sausage.

Linda I love you and you are in my thoughts and prayers all day, every day.
You don't deserve this, none of it.

Hey Linda,

Wanted you to know that this morning at 10:00 a.m. (PST) some of your blogger friends all took a minute to pray together - on your behalf! We figured He would hear us better and clearer if we did it as a group.
Keep up your Faith - we have!

Posted by: dammitwoman at July 29, 2008 03:03 PM

Yeah, I held hands with Dammit Woman and blushed like a 14 year old.

-Pffffft!

Seriously, we prayed together and will continue to do so as individuals.

Seriously Linda, I thought Sven was having a hot flash.......who knew he could blush like that?
We are all here for you in your corner.

I'm so sorry you are having such a rough go of it Linda, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. God Bless you dear.

Linder,

Not much for me to add to all the caring comments above. It sucks rocks that we all can't be there to comfort you in person. As I said before, I have this gut feeling that you will be OK in the long run. You are going through a rough patch right now, but take courage from all the prayers and love being poured in from all over the world.

If you ever get disheartened, remember I love you dearly, as do the KisPonauts and the rest of your cyber family. Be well, doll face.

Linda, I hope you won't be offended but I am virtually holding your hand hoping that it helps you get through this temporary but scary and painful health problem in your life. I am also sending you a constant flow of telepathic positive vibs hoping that helps too. Be well soon "friend".

I do hope you do better ...

Being an atheist, prayer ain't my thing, but with some help from the late Roger Zelazney, I think I can wing it ....

To whom it may concern:

Insofar as I may be heard by anything, which may or may not care what I say, I ask, if it matters, that you be forgiven for anything you may have done or failed to do which requires forgiveness. Conversely, if not forgiveness but something else may be required to insure any possible benefit for which you may be eligible after the destruction of your body, I ask that this, whatever it may be, be granted or withheld, as the case may be, in such a manner as to insure your receiving said benefit. I ask this in my capacity as your elected intermediary between yourself and that which may not be yourself, but which may have an interest in the matter of your receiving as much as it is possible for you to receive of this thing, and which may in some way be influenced by this ceremony. Amen.

Linda:

I knew the day that I met you that you were a unique woman and even though we haven't spoken since that day, you have been talked about and thought about so often. Your sister and I have been friends for many years now and so like friends do we talk about our family. I hope you know how very loved you are by your sister. You are her world. I wish nothing but the best for you and if there is a God up there, I hope he's hearing our prayers for you. You are loved by so many. If there is anything I can do or say know that I'm here. Love, Tammy

Well Linda, I can't even come close to saying what all of these great people have said so to make your day a little brighter, I read that Olmert is stepping down in September. Yippee!

We love you!

Posted by: cuchieddie at July 30, 2008 07:43 PM

Love you sis.
Yep, Olmert is stepping down. See prayers ARE granted. :)

Linda, I have had a huge plateful in the last few weeks that I surely won't whine to you about here. It now seems so insignificant after learning of your tumor and its' additional complications. However, that is my feeble, weak excuse for not reading here lately and being therefore ignorant of your horrible plight until now. I was so shaken and upset to read your posts pertaining to this last night, that I had to wait until this morning to even muster a humble comment.

May God wrap his arms around you and heal you. You are one of the most committed, declarative and beautiful Conservatives I have had the privilege of coming to know. I will be e-mailing you right away. We ALL will keep vigilant, sincere prayers for you. God bless.
