Shabbat Shalom

Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory.

Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness. Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.”

Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.

Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world, and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.

Amen

Its a beautiful song Dammit Woman, I just love it!

The words, loosely translated, mean, tonight is the night to raise your hands to heaven. Don't need a reason to rejoince, don't need a reason to dance, G-d gave me the strength to cause you to dance. Open your heart and and disengage from everything, believe in One for He is the omnipotent, let the rhythm lead you, raise your hands because everything starts here. Tonight's the time to raise your hands to heaven, let the rhythm lift you up, take some feeling, let some light forward, believe because that's all that's needed. Even if it's hard, the path is part of the process, so raise your hands in the air.

Whew. I really do love it.

In the comments on YouTube, the arabs accuse the Israelis of stealing their music style and using the music to put down arabs. Pretty funny, since its not Israelis and arabs in the video, its Hasidic Jews and non-Hasidic Jews, the ultra religious and the not. The song is about coming together.

Thanks for the insight LindaSoG. That info makes it even more beautiful. Funny....my church is kinda nontraditional or more open to the different ways to praise and rejoice. We do a lot of singing, clapping, swaying to the music and, of course, many people raise their hands to feel His strength. So, we are similar in the way we praise, give Thanks and Blessings.
That gives me a warm heart. BTW - you are on their prayer list. I'm going back now and listen to the music about "coming together."
