L'shanah tovah

Wish you a good, calm year,
That you'll reach another year,
That you'll win the lottery eight times...
Shanah Tovah...

Wish that the monster won't eat you,
especially not your sister,
that you won't get run over on the streets...
Shanah Tovah...

I'll see you all next year! er... that would be Wednesday!

In the Beginning

בְּרֵאשִׁית, בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים, אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם, וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ

Day One by Malla Carl

Today, Thursday 25 September 2008, is 25 Elul, Yom 'Echad!

It is the 1st day of creation, on which The Almighty created existence, time, matter, darkness and light.

Rosh Hashana, which in Hebrew, means, literally, "head of the year" or "first of the year," is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. It is the day on which we mark "the beginning of Your works," and is actually the 6th day of creation. On this day, the world attained the potential for the realization of its purpose, with the creation of the first man and woman, Adam and Eve.

Rosh Hashana is therefore the day from which the Jewish calendar begins to count the years of history; the 1st day of creation thus occurred on the 25th of Elul of what is termed -1 from creation.

L'Shana Toba Tikatebu.

Democrats give Ahmadinejad reason to smile

Excerpted from the Jerusalem Post:

...

Their argument was part naked pretext and part veiled threat: that maintaining the invitation just might prompt the IRS to investigate all sponsoring organizations' non-partisan tax-exempt status-an interesting understanding of "partisan" considering the invitations to Clinton, Obama, Biden and Wexler. (Perhaps this gives a clue how an IRS run by Obama lieutenants might treat political opponents). In an effort to maintain an appearance of Jewish unity against the evil of Iran, the organizers were forced to cave; Palin was given the boot. Game over. The Democrats won.

And so did Ahmadinejad.

...

Don't the Democrats vainly claim to be the party of the powerless and the voice of the voiceless? Fighters for human rights and protectors of liberty? They shouldn't flatter themselves. How did they help those causes this week? By strong-arm tactics, stifling dissent and sacrificing their "principles" for some perceived marginal political gain? Aren't those the sorts of things they're supposed to be protesting against? Perhaps they should tell us which principles they won't trample in order to gain fleeting political advantage.

In all likelihood, by getting their way and silencing Palin, the Democrats won only a Pyrrhic victory. This political gamesmanship is not going to sit well with most Jewish and pro-Israel voters-including Democrats and Independents-who take the Iranian threat seriously. The same day as the rally, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency warned that Iran could be hiding certain nuclear activities, and estimated that Iran could go nuclear in just six months. And this past Sunday, no longer content to merely "wipe Israel off the map,"Ahmadinejad presided over a military parade with banners reading "Israel should be eliminated from the universe."

...

Democrats and Obama-supporters, please ask yourselves: was it really so important to begrudge any forum to Palin that you'd sacrifice a golden opportunity to raise the profile of Iran's increasingly imminent threat to world security? What, exactly, are your priorities?

...

Obama's talk of post-partisanship and "reaching across the aisle" looks increasingly divorced from reality. If his operatives can't even bring themselves to join Republicans in something with such wide bipartisan support and national security implications as preventing the nuclearization of Iran, just where is that supposed post-partisanship going to appear? Do they not agree that the enemy is Ahmadinejad, not the GOP?

There is something very wrong with a party that insists on sitting down with Ahmadinejad without preconditions, but refuses to share a stage with the Republican Party candidate for Vice President of the United States of America.

Introducing the U.N. Eviction Act

No, really!

(WASHINGTON, DC ) – U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) introduced legislation today that would effectively move the United Nations headquarters out of the United States. The legislation is being introduced amid incessant anti-American and anti-Jewish political grandstanding from the podium of the General Assembly.

“The U.N. has coddled brutal dictators, anti-Semites, state sponsors of terrorism, and nuclear proliferators – while excluding democratic countries from membership and turning a blind eye to humanitarian tragedies and gross violations of human rights around the globe,” Tancredo said. “The U.N.’s continued presence in the United States is an embarrassment to our nation, and the time has come for this ineffective organization to pack its bags and hit the road.”

The United Nations is hosting dictators from around the world this week, including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran’s brutal dictator. His speech has drawn thousands of protestors in New York City.

Tancredo’s bill, dubbed the U.N. Eviction Act, would direct Attorney General Michael Mukasey to initiate condemnation proceedings against all United Nations properties within the United States, and sell the property to the highest bidder on the open market. The proceeds will be given to the Treasury Department to pay down the national debt. The bill would also bar the future purchase of property in the United States or U.S. territories by the U.N. or any of its agencies, and revokes the diplomatic privileges and immunities that U.N. officials and representatives currently enjoy.

“I refuse to sit idly by while Americans are forced to host Islamofascist dictators, like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, so they can spew anti-American rhetoric just blocks from Ground Zero,” Tancredo continued.

The United Nations, an organization known for its bureaucracy and conciliatory actions, has become a showcase for anti-American dictators like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and, of course, Ahmadinejad. The organization has also become little more than a rubber stamp for Chinese and Russian foreign policy initiatives – blocking membership by the democratic nation of Taiwan in the world body, and failing to take any meaningful steps to halt the ongoing genocide in Sudan or the illicit nuclear programs in North Korea and Iran.

“If the U.N. is so keen to accommodate the foreign policy demands of rogue nations and dictatorships, perhaps the world body might be more comfortable relocating to one,” concluded Tancredo. “I’m sure Ban Ki-Moon will have no trouble securing a new location in downtown Pyongyang or Tehran.”

Not only should the UN get out of the US, but the US should get out of the UN.

Still, getting them out would be a good start, but it'll never pass, the democrats won't let it. They like dictators too much.

Today's Zionist Conspiracy

Is brought to us by the one and only Jewish Conspiracy Exposed, where you can find "everything the Jewish owned media hides from you..."

Sarah Palin is a Jewess

Her maternal grandfather, Schmuel Sheigam, was a Lithuanian Jew, born in 1912 in Vilkaviskis, Lithuania, 91.2 miles west of Vilnius. The Sheigam family immigrated to America, via Hamburg, Germany in 1915 because of WWI. The grandmother was a Jewess named Gower...

In case you have any doubts, he gives us this...

Well! That should convince you, but in case it doesn't, he also gives us this...

From his "source," in conclusion:

Keep talking Joe

Because it's so helpful when you criticize Obama, and when it comes to criticizing the Annointed, it seems you're the only one the media will pay any attention to!

It was a terrible thing Obama did, to attack McCain for a disability he has a result of his time being tortured by the enemy while a prisoner of war. Thanks Joe, for pointing that out, the media has pretty much ignored it till now.

It makes you wonder who's side Joe is really on, don't it?

Today's Viral Ad Exposé

This just in from the Jawa Report:

Extensive research was conducted by the Jawa Report to determine the source of smears directed toward Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin...

It seems that Rusty's skills honed by tracking down on-line terrorist supporters are certainly sharp enough, within an hour of his posting, the names he named began deleting information from the internet to cover their tracks.

Run along now, and read up on the lies and the Obama Campaign Operatives that tell them.

Today's Obama Supporter

Artist / Photographer Terry Richardson, and he's obviously got Obama's seal of approval in return:

That picture right there is front and center on Terry's website, and if you dare to enter, there you will find truly vile and repulsive images of the dregs of society, including naked midgets, which are supposed to pass as art. Terry's new book, Kibosh, features Richardson himself, scrawny, naked and tattooed, and is sure to be found on coffee tables of the perverse and demented all over SanFran.

I'm sure his mother is very proud. (is that really his mom? I dunno, but he named the shot "terrys_mom").

I wonder which of Richardson's photographs Obama is planning to grace the Oval Office with.

La la la

It is simply a great day in Miami!

Miami Dolphins upset Patriots

The game plan was brilliant. The execution was flawless. And the result was stunning. 38-13!!!!

Miami running back Ronnie Brown scored four touchdowns on the ground and passed for another
as the Dolphins snapped New England's 21-game winning streak in dominant fashion.

I hate the Pats. We kicked their butt today and we did it in their own house.

Life is good!

He said - He Said

My darling 16 year old nephew sent out a bulletin on myspace with ABC's little quiz featuring quotes from the candidates on the issues. It doesn't tell you who said what, you just pick which statement you agree with. He thought it was "cool" and it was, kinda, and it might help you decide, if you're the kind of person who thinks you can believe anything candidates say on the campaign trail.

In a few instances, I disagreed with both statements, and was left to pick the one I disagreed with less. Still, it came out as expected, 100% for McCain:

The area I had the most trouble with was immigration. The two of them sound surprisingly alike.

¿Habla Español?

In case you don't:

Announcer: Obama and his congressional allies say they are on the side of immigrants. But are they?

The press reports that their efforts were "poison pills" that made immigration reform fail.

The result:

No guest worker program. No path to citizenship.

No secure borders. No reform.

Is that being on our side?

Obama and his congressional allies ready to block immigration reform, but not ready to lead.

McCain: I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

Gah! That bastard! He said he learned his lesson, he said he gave up McAmnesty, but it seems pretty obvious that he didn't. We know what he's talking about in those "secret" meetings with La Raza, don't we? I'm told that this particular campaign video is not available on McCain's campaign site where real Americans might see it. That might be true, it might not be true. Sadly, I find that I don't care enough to look.

In the excitment of Sarah Palin's nomination, I almost forgot all of the reasons why I was dead set against John McCain in his bid for the presidency right from the start. I almost forgot that on many issues, he is a looney nutjob liberal and I firmly believe that at least some of those looney liberal policies constitute a major threat to this country. Truly, the only thing I agree with John McCain on is the war.

Alas, I also firmly believe in karma, so I can't bring myself to hope or pray that he gets elected and then croaks and leaves Sarah in charge, but I confess to thinking that would be the best thing for America. There. I said it, G-d forgive me.

But, the alternative to McCain... well... there is no way I am going to sit back on my heels and allow the likes of Barack Hussein Obama to sit in my White House, so, yes, you guessed right OceanGuy!

And... thanks to my good friend Rodger, who first listened patiently to how I felt and then went to the drawing board for me, I'm now flying new colors:

McCain Haters for McCain

Yep. That's my new shirt, and that bumper sticker is on my truck, and yes, if you want, you can get yourself some too, with or without the "crazy lady" whose grimace so captures how I feel about this election. I wore one of the t-shirts this weekend, and I got a lot of laughs and more than a few high fives over it. It's nice to know I'm not alone in my thinking.

I am a McCain Hater for McCain.

Some surprising political commentary

From a most unlikely source:

Arab and Muslim voters thought in Obama that they were witnessing a candidate with a shot of wining, that he was not part of the pro-Israeli establishment that fills the halls of power in Washington who usually go out of their way to support Israel at expense of Arab and Palestinian rights.

But Arab and Muslims voters did not have wait for too long for their disappointment to arrive when they felt that Obama had increasingly started treating them like a plague avoiding them at all costs so as not to upset the racists and bigots in this country.

In Detroit, last June, Obama’s staff made sure to remove two Muslim American women from the seats behind Obama so as not to “ offend” American voters, as if Muslims voters are not “fully” Americans.

This insult to Muslims is too deep to let it go so easily, it also speaks volumes about the hatred and racism in the American society where Arab and Muslim Americans are usually at the receiving end of its repeated blows, and with no end in sight.

It appears to be that Obama candidacy feels that it has to go along with the racist sentiments against Muslims because, in America today, it is not a bad policy to discriminate against Muslims or disrespect them and demean their faith and value system and there will no political ramifications because of it. Except at the ballot box.

Obama went even further in his attempts to appease the right wing racists by repeatedly denying that he is not a Muslims, and he is not, but why does it being a Muslim or not has to be an issue in a country that the faith of the candidate is besides the point, not the point.

As for the Middle East, Obama’s trip to Israel last month as part of his world tour, was pilgrimage American politicians seemingly had to make in order to garner t he Jewish vote and financial support in this country. There, Obama visited an Israeli Synagogue a Christian Church, and, yet again, he had to show his anti-Muslims credentials by not bothering to visit a Muslim mosque. Therefore, Obama’s message to the Muslim American voters is that, “ I don’t care about you, I don’t care about your issues, and I don’t care about your vote.

Arab and Muslim Americans should return the favor to Obama and give their support to a third candidate who albeit his or her chances of wining is next to impossible, but at least they should not support a candidate who does not care about them or about their issues.

Never mind the grammar and the spelling, the author is "an award winning journalist and columnist and member of Arab writers group syndicate." There's more at the link and the commentary was kinda amusing...

... "And about his denial of being a “Muslim”, what do you expect of him?? Do you expect him to say “Ya, I’m a Muslim”??"

heh.

Oh... and don't miss this little ditty from the same site but a different author, that essentially implores arabs to vote for McCain, using some sort of twisted logic that they should do so based on the fact that Barack Hussein Obama is their friend.

Taking it to the Streets

The United States of America can learn a lesson from Denmark, and what happens when a government places the rights and values of its own people behind a group of lawless, violent immigrants. That lesson would be that those very people will form their own groups and defend themselves, with violence. This is a bitter and terrible solution to something which could have been fixed so easily by simple acts of legislation.

The end result, in Denmark, ordinary citizens are joining for outlaw bikers gangs who are ready, willing and able to fight the moslem hordes because the police will not.

The Hell’s Angels biker group is experiencing a flood of new applications for membership, in particular for its support group AK81.

AK81 is a support group for the Hell’s Angels. The acronym stands for the Danish words Altid Klar (Always Ready), while 81 are the alphabet numbers for H and A.

The increase in membership enquiries comes in connection with a showdown in recent weeks between immigrant groups and the Hell’s Angels as well as shows of strength by Hell’s Angels members who have walked the streets of Copenhagen and Århus en masse.

A concerned police force has, however, registered the flood of interest in being recruited to what is termed the Hell’s Angels ‘mini-army’.

“We are worried that this is escalating and involving more and more people,” says Deputy Chief Superintendant Jørgen Isalin of the National Investigation Support Centre.

“It’s all going very fast now and there is no doubt that more and more people are joining. This is also happening on the other side too where large numbers of anti-social youths are supporting criminal immigrant groups who cause trouble in the streets and are provoking the Hell’s Angels,” he says.

Lines are being drawn in Denmark, lines between the lawless moslem gangs and the lawless biker gangs, and the police crackdowns are strangely one sided, the bikers go to jail and the moslems go free.

The police, who have used all their resources at keeping the bikers in check, have used a far more soft touch towards the muslim gangs. Very often the police withdraw from confrontations, and leave demolishing hordes of immigrants untouched, contrary to a simple house search or an arrrest relating to the Bikers’ gangs, when they arrive in overwhelming numbers, ready with bullet proof vests and submachine guns.

Only little more than a week ago, a gang of about 50 immigrants rampaged a whole street in Copenhagen Jægersborgsgade, a local neighborhood where some HA members have their homess, indiscriminately smashing up a number of cars. The police watched helplessly, and no arrests were made. The action was a display off of power, after bikers and their new supporter from AK81, had held a silent and non violent march through to demonstrate their willingness to fight for their turf.

Partly this is part of a government and EU strategy, which puts great restrictions on the police when dealing with immigrants and immigrant gangs. There always are the accusations of ‘racism’, and the muslim gangs are also much feared than the bikers when it comes to their threats to harm individual police officers or their families. Many policemen whose identities are known by the immigrant gangs, would rather not have their house torched or their loved ones attacked by the invaders who have taken their extremely violent mentality with them straight from the Middleast.

Being virulently anti-illegal immigration, I would support such actions by law abiding citizens here in this country against illegal immigrant and their gangs and being generally islamophobic, I would support such actions against rioting moslems as well, especially if they try to pull the same shit here as they do in Europe.

When you consider the crime statistics of illegal immigrants and the costs to Americans of illegal immigration, it's just a matter of time before Americans themselves begin to take matters into their own hands, seeing how our law enforcement agencies turn the other cheek and our government not only refuses to protect us, but continually increases our burden.

While reading up on the issue, I came across this little tidbit:

Perhaps this is the beginning of the real resistance.

When government fails to protect its citizens from violent gangs, it creates a vacuum, and it’s only natural that violent gangs should move in to fill the void. They’re not the kind of people with whom one would sit down to tea and crumpets, but they’ll get the job done.

The good burghers of Whoville sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. But what if the only rough men that are available are the kind we don’t want to associate with? What if the only people willing to defend our race are… well, racists?

I personally know people in Britain who are going to hold their noses and vote for the BNP. They’re not in the slightest bit racist or anti-Semitic, but the BNP is the only party which is willing to stand up for the country and support a traditional British identity.

That’s why I believe in opening lines of communication to people in all parties that seriously oppose the Great Jihad. Rather than wait until these parties expel all the anti-Semites and become perfect, why not look for those members who already have the opinions we want, but who support the party because they think it’s their only hope?

The anti-Semitism will fall away naturally anyway for a party that wants to become a viable national force. Serious anti-Semites will defect to the other side, because the Muslims are their natural allies, and the rest of us aren’t.

We don’t have the luxury of waiting until all parties become perfect. There isn’t enough time. Make no mistake about it: the big crisis is on its way, and it will reach parts of Europe in ten years or less.

When the time comes, what if the only people who are willing to stand up and oppose Islam are the “racists”? What will the fascistophobes recommend then? That we lie down and die rather than have any truck with race-nationalists? That we submit to the jihad rather than violate the pristine righteousness of our moral state?

In 2020, or 2015, or 2012, as the twilight of Sharia rolls across the land, those who would remain pure in their non-racist principles will still be wringing their hands and wincing in distaste, right up until the last moment, when the cry of “Allahu Akhbar!” resounds as the knife descends upon their necks.

So anyone who intends to survive that moment may want to lie down with the dogs now, even if it means getting up with fleas later. There will be plenty of time afterwards for flea powder — assuming that the Great Jihad can be defeated.

Would you rather be right, or effective?

Ah. The enemy of my enemy argument. The problem is, the only thing the Hells Angels are willing to fight for is control of illegal drug trade and other criminal activity, and at last report, they're busy negotating a truce and turf deal with the moslems.

Reality is, a deal with the devil is just that, a deal with the devil. But law abiding citizens protecting home and hearth, fighting criminals rather than accept and submit, well. That's another story, and one I can get behind and support.

Details, details, details

From the American Spectator, we get this:

Fanny, Freddie, and Obama

When President George W. Bush nominated Henry Paulson to serve as Treasury Secretary, Republicans raised a red flag that Paulson, who, along with his wife, has strong ties to the Democrat party, would not be an honest broker with Republicans.

That seems to have been borne out, with sources inside of Treasury reporting that Paulson briefed Sen. Barack Obama and his campaign advisers on the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bailout plan before offering such a briefing to the McCain campaign.

In fact, the McCain campaign had sought a similar briefing several days ago as word spread that a bailout plan was to be unveiled and had been turned down by Paulson's senior staff.

The next question is: Why was the Obama campaign so keen on getting advanced word about the bailout?

"They have a huge problem with the mortgage and housing market story, and everyone is missing it," says a Republican political media consultant with ties to the Obama campaign due to the bipartisan nature of the firm he does work with.

"You look at Obama's economic advisers, the guys he has counted on from day one and who have raised him a ton -- and I mean a ton -- of money: Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson, both of them are waist to neck deep in the mortgage debacle."

Both Raines and Johnson have served as CEO of Fannie Mae, with Raines taking over from Johnson. Both are key political and economic advisers to Obama.

"How can Obama go out with a straight face and saw it was Republicans who made this mess, when it is his key advisers who ran the agencies that made the big mess what it is?" says a Democrat House member who supported Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. "It's his people who are responsible for what may well be the single largest government bailout in history. And every single one of them made millions off the collapse that are lining Obama's campaign coffers."

But wait! There's more:

Another close political adviser, in fact the one man responsible for rallying support for Obama early on among Congressional Democrats, is Rep. Rahm Emanuel, who served on the Board of Directors for Freddie Mac after leaving the Clinton White House. According to Freddie Mac insiders, Emanuel during his time on the board opposed every reform proposed by the Bush Administration that would have impacted Freddie and Fannie Mae.

The collapse of Fannie and Freddie illustrates the point that the democrats are just not good for America. But even more so, it brings into question the ability of Barack Obama to produce any economic gains in this country, after all, it is Obama's economic advisors who are directly responsible for the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

and...

"If the McCain campaign lets this one go, they deserve to lose."

Yep. You got that right.

UPDATE: Okay, this is a start:

Not enough... but it's a start.

Shabbat Shalom

Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory.

Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness. Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.”

Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.

Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world, and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.

Amen

Today's Obama Supporters

I guess this would be called stimulating his base:

Fifty-two bags of heroin in bags stamped both with letters spelling out OBAMA and an image in the likeness of Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama were confiscated following a routine car stop on Interstate 95 in Upper Chichester, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Because heroin addicts are so very likely to vote...

Hope-ium for the masses.

In Honor of a Hero

As part of the Project 2996 - today we remember, and honor the victims of the September 11 attacks.

never enough of it
time marches on
trickles away
each day
dies
and
each day
a new dawn
time marches on
never enough of it

John Chipura knew how precious life was. He learned that lesson at age 21, on October 23, 1983 as a Marine in Beirut.

John was a 21 year old radio operator on his second tour as a member of the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment 24th Marine Amphibious Unit. He was stationed in Beirut when terrorists with a truck bomb took out the battalion headquarters barracks and killed 241 of his fellow leathernecks and service men.

John dodged death and came home from that tragedy. He didn't speak much about it, he didn't dwell on the fact that he survived because he was leaving the barracks early to assume his post as a radio operator when the bomb exploded. He didn't dwell on the fact that the man walking just behind him was killed.

John's brother, Gerard Chipura, a fireman with Ladder Company 148, said his brother never forgot his experiences as a Marine. "We didn’t know it, but John kept in touch with all the families from the bombing," his brother Gerard said, "I don't think John ever thought he would live to see anything worse than what he saw that day in Beirut."

He was marked by the experience. "When he came back, he was more of a hugging person. He knew how precious life was because it could all be over in a second." - Nancy Chipura, John's sister

His brother Gerard said John was missing for three whole days in Beirut before he was able to get through to the family and let them know he was fine. He said the 9/11 deja-vu experience was painfully "surreal." "My sister said, 'I'm going to give him three days.' But he hasn't shown up yet. Not this time," said his brother.

John lived his life to the end as a hero.

Gerard and his family find solace in the words that John wrote in November 2000, on the occasion of the Corps 225 birthday: "We Marines are truly blessed. We get to enjoy the sweet taste of this Freedom because we know its price."

“He was a true Marine" . - FDNY Lt. John Atwell

After his honorable discharge from the Marines in 1987, John desired to continue serving the community and joined the city Police Department in 1987. He was assigned to the 72nd Precinct in his old neighborhood, Sunset Park, for seven years. John devoted three years service in Brooklyn South Narcotics and then returned to the 72nd Precinct as a detective.

“As a police officer he was always looking to clean up the neighborhood and help other families. He was very caring, and nothing got in his way or bothered him.” - Gina DeFalco, John's Fiancee.

After 12 years of service to the NYPD, John yearned for the camaraderie of the firehouse; his brother, Gerard, was a fireman, as their father, Anthony, had been. In August, 1998, John achieved his dream.

Following the footsteps of his father, Anthony Chipura, John joined the city Fire Department. "He knew you work as a team, as a unit in the Fire Department -- he liked that,' said his brother. "He always thought people call the Police Department when there's a problem, to get somebody bad, but you call the Fire Department when people needed help."

Graduating from firefighter training in 1998, John Chipura was assigned to Engine Co. 219, Brooklyn, for one year. He then rotated through Ladder Co. 81, South Beach, and Engine Co. 80 in Manhattan. John had recently returned to Engine Co. 219 to once again serve Downtown Brooklyn.

On Sept. 11, he arrived at Engine 219 to work the day tour and was detailed to Ladder Co. 105, which is housed in the same location. After reports of the first attack, he called his sister, Nancy Chipura, who worked on the 69th Floor of Tower 1. He was unable to make contact. Just before responding to the World Trade Center, John called his fiancee, Gina DeFalco, who also worked Downtown, for more information about Nancy. He received no word about his sister when he arrived at the scene at 8:45 a.m. with Ladder 105. “There wasn’t any news,” said Ms. DeFalco, “but later, when I heard that Nancy was safe, I called John to tell him. But his ladder company had already left.” John and the five other firefighters in the truck have not been heard from since.

Witnesses told the family he was last seen assisting in the evacuation of many people from Tower 2. "He was inside when it collapsed," said his brother. "I know he was looking for my sister."

Mr. Chipura and Ms. DeFalco, who met through a friend in the Fire Department, had planned to marry just six weeks after Sept. 11. "Getting married was the sole focus of his being for the last few months," said his brother. "He was 39-years-old and finally found the right girl. He held her so close to his heart."

Gerard Chipura said his brother was always trying to help people and make them "feel good." "He wanted to make everybody happy. He didn't want anybody to be upset," said his brother. "When John was not serving the community, he was serving his family and friends. He was a great conversationalist, problem solver, hard worker and friend," said his brother. "John embraced hobbies such as country dancing and motorcycling because he liked the sense of community he found."

John Chipura was a mentor for many at Boy Scout Troop 21. He was a member of the troop since 1974 and went on to serve as assist scout master until he was lost in the attack. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Iwo Jima Association and the Beirut Veterans Memorial Association. John was also a member of St. Joseph and St. Thomas Parish, Pleasant Plains.

His mother, Jane Chipura, died in 1994 and his father, Anthony, died in 1996. In addition to his brother, Gerard, and his sister, Nancy Chipura, surviving are his twin sister, Susan Cohen; another sister, Eileen Cella; and several nieces and nephews. John also left behind the love of his life, Gina DeFalco.

Dear John,

In the blink of an eye
Our lives went awry
Not a day has gone by
That we all do not cry

For what we had
For what was planned
For what took place
For what was yet to be

For births, promotions, holidays, birthdays,
graduations, bar mitzvahs
Celebrated without you, but always thinking of you
Another blink of an eye

And a year has gone by
How can it be?
It went so fast and yet so much has passed
So many tears, can it only be a year?

Lives went on, go on, different, not the same
We try, we share, we wonder why
We try to make sense of that blink of an eye
We try to make each blink count

We try to do what you would want us to
We try to make that blink of an eye
Mean something.

Help us, show us, tell us
Be there as you always were
In our hearts, in our thoughts
In every blink of our eyes.

With all our love always,

Your family, friends, fiancé and Mom-to-be

Except for the short poem at the beginning of this post, none of these words are mine. They are culled from various articles on the internet. I have never met John Chipura, but I wish I had the opportunity to do so. In life, John touched so many lives, not only his family and friends, but also, every person he came into contact with. Serving as a Marine, John protected our freedom, and as police officer and a fireman, John helped make so many people safe.

I feel a special kind of love for John Chipura, and I thank G-d for men like him.

This Tribute was originally posted on September 11, 2006, and is reposted today as part of this year's Project 2996. The original post can be found here.

His resting place shall be in the Garden of Eden.
Therefore, the Master of mercy will care for him
under the protection of His wings for all time
And bind his soul in the bond of everlasting life.
God is his inheritance and he will rest in peace
and let us say Amen.

Reverend Wright and the Chuch Lady

Obama's mentor, the Reverend Wright, is making headlines once again...

Elizabeth Payne, 37, said she had a steamy sexual affair with the controversial, racially divisive man of the cloth while she was an executive assistant at a church headed by a popular Wright protégé.

When word of the unholy alliance got out, Payne's husband dumped her, and she was canned from the plum job at Friendship-West Baptist Church, she told The Post.

"I was involved with Rev. Wright, and that's why I lost my job and why my husband divorced me," Payne said.

She refused to reveal when the adulterous affair started or how she met Wright.

Payne's husband, Fred Payne, 64, said he learned of the affair in late February, when he discovered e-mails between his wife and Wright.

"There must have been about 80 of them, back and forth," he said. "Wright said things like he was going to leave his wife for Elizabeth."

Wright has been married to his second wife, Ramah, for more than 20 years.

The preacher reportedly wooed Ramah away from her first husband in the 1980s, when the couple came to marriage counseling at Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

After discovering he had been cuckolded, Fred Payne, who had married Elizabeth in October 2006, headed straight for divorce court.

"I was downright mad about this bull- - - -," said Fred, who said he is "in the oil and gas business," belongs to a hunting club and makes his own bullets in his garage.

"People wouldn't be happy to know that my wife was sleeping with a black man."

He added, "Rev. Haynes doesn't like the interracial thing, either. This was quite an issue for him."

Elizabeth Payne said she has been banished by Haynes and the flock at Friendship-West.

"I'm not a member of the congregation anymore; I'm not even allowed on the premises," she said.

Well now. What a fine upstanding individual is the adulterous Reverend Wright, just the kind of person anyone would want as personal mentor and spiritual guide, and a teacher to your children of morals and values.

Yep. You gotta question the judgment of any man who could spend 20 years admiring and emulating such a person.

It happened in Fresno

I'll just sum up, okay?

A man broke into a home and attacked two men with spices and an eight-inch sausage. The attack consisted of rubbing spices on one man and beating the other man with the sausage. Then, the attacker fled with stolen money, but left his wallet and identification behind.

The police found the attacker, in his underwear, hiding in an orchard. The stolen money was recovered but the sausage was not. The sausage was eaten by a dog.

Well. Alrightie then.

Ohfercryinoutloud!

Its not fair. Its just not fair! We got saddled with Hillary, and John F'n Kerry. and yes, we even got saddled with Madeline Albright. You would think that would be enough dirtbag democrats digging for a Jew in the closet, but nooooooo.

Now we have this obamination:

Barack Obama's Wife's Cousin an 'Orthodox' Black Rabbi

Barack Obama's wife’s cousin is a Rabbi, according to the Jewish magazine Forward. Michelle Obama's first cousin once removed, Capers Funnye, shepherds the flock at a mostly black Israelite synagogue on Chicago’s South Side, the Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew synagogue.

Forward reports that Rabbi Funnye’s mother, Verdelle Robinson Funnye (pronounced fuh-NAY), and Mrs. Obama's paternal grandfather, Frasier Robinson Jr., were sister and brother.

Rabbi Funnye converted to Judaism in a ceremony supervised by the Black Israelite rabbis. He later underwent another conversion procedure, reportedly supervised by Orthodox and Conservative rabbis. He has a Black Israelite ordination.

Gah. What a crock. They call themselves Black Hebrews, but there is no such thing, they made that up. They're not Hebrews. They're African.

They can call themselves whatever they want, they are not Jews. They started out as followers of Jesus Christ, and then they took parts of the Jewish religion and adapted it into something new, they are converts converting converts to an "alternative religion."

Their basic relgion is split into three seperate groups. There are what is known as the Black Jews, who maintain a Christological perspective and adopt Jewish rituals; then there are the Black Hebrews, who are more traditional in their practice of Judaism; and then there are the Black Israelites - that's what Obama's relative calls himself - and they are most nationalistic and farthest from traditional Judaism.

Finding this particular Jew in the closet ain't gonna help Obama none but it makes me wonder, what is it with these democrats that they seem to think that finding a Jewish relative is going to get them elected.

Asked and answered

Let that be a lesson for you dude, you should always know the answer before you ask the question:

You know that left a mark and who knows, maybe even a wet spot, huh Keith? Even if I'm mad at ya Newt, I gotta say, that was well done, and in a way, kinda like taking candy from a baby, huh? Poor dear couldn't think of one thing Obama the "community organizer" has accomplished, could he?

From Sarah Palin's speech last nite:

"Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’ except that you have actual responsibilities."

Ah. And jeepers, it would seem that Biden is likely having a bad day today too, channeling moonbats. We'll see how far that gets him.

Gah! I love politics. I do!

September 03, 2008

Greetings and Good Day to you Sir or Madam

I am Barack Hussein Obama, son of African Moslem Goatherder and I am running in election for President of the United States Of Americans and now today I am seeking for you to help to fund for my campaign.

Corruption probe into 'Africans for Obama' fundraiser in Nigeria

Hundreds of the city's high-society elite and business leaders paid up to £11,000 for a table at the glitzy fundraiser, but police intervened when it became clear that US laws prohibit overseas donations.

The organiser of the August 11 event, Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke, chair of the Nigerian stock exchange, was questioned by corruption investigators but was cleared of any wrongdoing on Sunday because no Nigerian laws were broken.

She said in a statement that the money had never been intended as a direct donation to Mr Obama's campaign, but was to "mobilise and sensitise Africans" about his policies.

Excitement is growing across the continent as the race heats up and chances increase that the son of an African man could soon be president of the United States.

Of course, Obama's campaign team said "the Democratic presidential hopeful was in no way connected with the "Africans for Obama" organisation and added that no money from the group would be accepted."

Maybe they can just pass it along to Kenya's Raila Odinga, who Obama campaigned for in Kenya back in August of 2007 and continued to support even after Odinga has been blamed for inciting tribal violence and slaughtering Christians following his loss to U.S.-backed Mwai Kibaki in Kenya's 2007 presidential election.

Oh... and...

But news of the Lagos gala drew sharp criticism from Nigeria's press pundits, who pointed to the fact that the vast majority of the country's population lives in dire poverty on less than £1 a day.

Yes, dire poverty, like George Hussein Onyango Obama, brother to Barack Hussein Obama, who lives in a hut in a ramshackle town of Huruma on the outskirts of Nairobi, on less than $1.00 a month.

George keeps a front page newspaper picture of his famous brother - born of the same father as him, Barack Hussein Obama, but to a different mother, named only as Jael. He claims "I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist." Embarrassed by his penury, he said that he does not mention his famous half-brother in conversation. "If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed," he said.

But his famous brother the Illinois senator and presidential contender is not ashamed and mentions his brother in his autobiography, describing him in just one passing paragraph as a "beautiful boy with a rounded head".

No shame there for Brother Barack, over anything, no shame even that Brother Barack is too damn busy being an agent of change over the years to do any good deed or kindness to the beautiful boy that is his flesh and blood, obviously, he can't spare any "change" to make a difference in his brother's life, not even a quarter a day, or a dollar a week to lift his own brother from a life of dire poverty.

George Hussein Onyango Obama has been waiting for change for a long long long time. And seeing how the fickle finger of fate saddled him with the so-called Messiah of Change for a brother, I get the feeling he's going to be waiting a long long long time.

Ashley Blazer Biden has herself a record

and of course, to her Daddy, Senator Joe Biden, it's a private family matter:

Wanna bet that intimidating statement was "Back off or my Daddy will get ya!" Gah! Hanging out with hoodlums outside of bars, throwing bottles at police officers. Obviously that girl just wasn't raised right, the apple don't fall from the tree, and children really do learn what they live, don't they? and... people who live in glass houses, well, they shouldn't throw stones, should they?

Don't you just love a hypocrite?

I don't.

Surprise Surprise Surprise

This is no less than amazing!

Four years after Yaron and Efrat Ungar were murdered in 1996 by Palestinian terrorists who assaulted their vehicle, the couple’s family took a law suit against the Palestinian Authority to the US Supreme Court. The family claimed that the tragic deaths of the Ungars - both American citizens - were caused by Hamas, with the aid of PA security mechanisms.

In July 2004, the Supreme Court ordered the PLO and PA to pay $116 million dollars to the couple’s family, following which, the family turned to the Jerusalem District Court with a petition to enforce the US court’s ruling in Israel.

The PA responded with a counter-petition, stating that the enforcement of such a suit would have public, political, financial and security implications both for the Palestinians and for Israel. Specifically, they claimed that paying compensations to the families of terror victims could bankrupt the PA, especially since it could lead to similar suits against the organization.

“How can one accept the claim that a legal ruling should not be enforced because it might hurt the perpetrator financially? Should we not punish convicted persons for no other reason than that it might cause their bankruptcy?” Judge Farkash wrote.

Indeed. Well said Judge. And what a shame it is that, after you first froze Palestinian Authority monies held here in America for payment of the Ungar's judgment, Judge Marrero had to come in after you, release those monies back into terrorist hands and allow those terrorists to to spend it freely on whatever they chose, without enforcing payment of the judgment here in American courts, forcing them to seek justice outside of the United States of America.

So, it now would appear that Israel is willng to enforce the judgment against the Palestinian Authority for terrorist attacks perpetuated in coordination and cooperation with Hamas, and Mahmoud Abbas and his moderate terrorist organization is gonna have to cough up some cash to compensate at least some of the victims who were killed by his mentor and his hero, arch terrorist Yassir Arafat.

Good. Every dollar paid by these moderate terrorists in compensation for the loss of life in a moderate terror attack is a dollar less spent by moderate terrorists in taking another life in another moderate terror attack.

We hear you Joe

We heard you then:

Last year, in a widely quoted interview with year the Jewish American Shalom TV, Biden said, "I am a Zionist. You don't have to be a Jew to be a Zionist," adding that "Israel is the single greatest strength that America has in the Middle East," and that its presence as a strategic ally meant that America need station far fewer troops and warships in the region.

but more importantly, we hear you now:

Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden was quoted Monday as telling senior Israeli officials behind closed doors that the Jewish state will have to reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran.

In the unsourced report, Army Radio also quoted Biden as saying that he opposed "opening a additional military and diplomatic front."

Biden, chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has long been considered strongly pro-Israel. His nomination as Barack Obama's running mate had been expected to shore up the Democrats' strength with U.S. Jewish voters.

Army Radio said Israeli officials expressed "amazement" over the remarks attributed to him.

"Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran," Army Radio quoted Biden as telling the unnamed officials.

"It's doubtful if the economic sanctions will be effective, and I am against opening an additional military and diplomatic front."

Yes Joe, we hear you now, now that you are asking us to make you Vice President. My my, how things have changed now that you're working for Barack and his agenda. Accept Iran having nukes, so what if their leader has sworn to wipe you off the face of the earth, just accept it!

No wonder the terror supporters in the Gaza strip are dialing America citizens and urging them to support Barack Obama for President. Amazing bit of propaganda there, and yeah, sure, buddy, you really think we believe you when you say you have some fear about what Hamas is gonna think about what your're doing? We know how things go in Gaza my friend, they kill you if they don't like how long your beard is, and the fact of the matter is, Hamas came out in support of Barack Hussein Obama right from the start, and I'll just bet they're paying your bills.

As for you Joe Biden, you're a dangerous man, and so is your boss. Dangerous for America, and dangerous for Israel. Keep talking, because with every word you say, it becomes as obvious as the nose on your face.

UPDATE: Joe denies saying it, vehemently, even!

Meanwhile... Rumors circulate all over Europe, Sabers continue to rattle. But the mainstream American media? Well, they ain't gonna talk about none of that, oh no. They're just gonna tell ya that Toni the Tiger thinks Obama/Biden is Great! Because that's what's really important, right?

Four Years!

Today is my blogiversary.
Four years.
Wow.
I can't believe I've been doing this for four years.

It seems like much longer, sometimes it feels like I've been doing it forever. Since I put my first page up on the internet way back in 2002, there have been over a million and a half unique visitors, who have visited a couple-few million times over the years, page views total several million. So many of you found me somehow, and you keep coming back. I don't know who you are, but I am grateful to every one of you.

My most popular page still remains A History of Terrorism in Israel, it was part of the original website and was here before the blog, it has been viewed almost a million times on its own, it is linked all over the internet, and portions of it have been used in a recently published book.

Thank you, everyone, for supporting my efforts here, for reading my words and my thoughts, for commenting, arguing with me, agreeing with me, for coming back either way, for linking to me, writing me, for your kind support through my personal troubles this year, for being there, for being you! I've met some truly amazing people, made true friends, and learned so much from so many. Thank you.
