Once upon a time

There was a terror mosque in Gaza, where terrorists met to plot and carry out murderous attacks against Jews. Its grounds were used primarily to store rockets and munitions to build rockets, and the surrounding area was used to launch rockets and carry out attacks. And then, one fine day, from the skies above, there came the sound of jets, as the Israeli Air Force locked on target:

The first explosion was the IAF blowing the Terror Mosque and the terrorists inside straight to hell, and the secondary explosions you see are the rockets and munitions that Hamas stored inside the mosque blowing straight to hell behind them.

The gloves are off and the Hamas terror mosque is no more.

Sewage Pipes.

That's what the Government gives them.

Many of the Jewish residents from Gaza who were removed by the Israeli Government during the "Disengagement" were relocated to temporary housing in Nitzan (3 years in temporary housing with no solution is another issue).

The problem is their temporary housing is made totally of sheetrock, and there are no shelters or concrete walls in case of the falling rockets from Gaza.

Today, the IDF Homefront command brought in concrete sewage pipes as a temporary measure...

I found that at The Muqata, where the Muqata Staff is live blogging the War around the clock.

The picture just hit me hard, after all, this is really the end result of the stupidity of the "disengagement" and that photo really makes the point. Imagine, your government kicks you out of your home and off your land to give it to terrorists who want to kill you and your family and your people. In return for taking your home, your land, and your livelihood, the Government promises you a new house, and enough land to rebuild your farm, and your life but instead puts you in a temporary house made of what amounts to compacted dust and cardboard and charges you rent while you wait for the promised home and land. And then, when the terrorists bomb your new temporary neighborhood from your old neighborhood, your Government gives you a sewage pipe to protect you and your children. And you are, of course, grateful.

When the Israeli Government gave Gaza to the Palestinians, we knew that Gaza would become a terrorist state and it has. The Palestinians are terrorists, with one goal, to destroy Israel, and cleanse the land of Jews. Hamas is no different from Fatah. There is no such thing as a moderate terrorist. No matter which one kills you, you are still dead.

This just in from Gaza

John Belushi???

Dang, but it looks just like him, don't it?

I found that over at IsraellyCool, now that Shabbat is over, Dave is live blogging what's happening in Gaza, and as always, he's doing a fine job of it. I can do no better, so head over there for information, that's where I'm getting most of what I know, and there's no reason for me to duplicate his efforts over here.

Look for the Union Label

It used to be a source of pride. But now, when you find it, you'll think of the billion dollar bailout you're paying for, and you'll close your eyes for a minute, and picture the people working behind the scenes, the people you're paying to bring you that product. People like Rod Soroka and Jim Mozelewskli, who earn six figures by racking up thousands of hours of overtime a year at the Ford plant where they work, except... they ain't working all them hours, nope, not at all, in fact, they were caught on tape fudging their time sheets and stealing hours.

According to his time sheets, Rod Soroka works 10 hour days, every day. Except, it appears that good old Rod actually works only about four hours a day, he was caught on film arriving at home before noon, every day they watched him. He was caught on tape pulling into the driveway, day after day, every day and when asked about it, all he had to say was, get off my property.

Jim Mozelewski? His time sheet says he works twelve hours a day and it says he works weekends too. According to his time sheets, Jim manages to rack up overtime hours while simultaneously participating in, and winning, at least one bowling championship. Yup. Jim's timesheet says he was working at the plant on the same day and at the same time he was at the bowling alley where he rolled his way to first place in a bowling tournament. That Jim Mozelewsk is an amazing guy, he also has the ability to shop for beer and whatnot at the local party stores on the same day and at the same time that his time sheets show him working at the plant. He can also be at home, asleep in bed when his time sheets show him working at the plant. Amazing!

And now, Rob and Jim, and the millions of union workers like them are no longer just stealing hours from Ford, and GM and Chrysler anymore, nope. Now they get to steal hours from you and me. So, it's the day after Christmas, and all union workers actually have the entire day off with pay, because it's in their contract. As for me, well, I don't have the day off, so I'll be heading off into work in a few minutes, to earn my salary, so I can help keep Rob and Jim in beer and bowling balls.

Is this a great country or what?

O little lights of Mystery

O little lights of mystery
You recall our history
And all that went before
The battles and the bravery
And our release from slavery
Miracles galore.

As my eyes behold your flames
I recall our heroes' names
And our ancient dream:
“Jews were learning how to fight
To defeat an awesome might
They could reign supreme”

“They would rule their own domain
When the enemy was slain,
The Temple cleansed and whole.
Once there was a Jewish land
And a mighty Jewish hand.”
Oh, how it moves my soul!

O little lights of mystery
You retell our history
Your tales are tales of pain.
My heart is filled with fears
My eyes are filled with tears
"What now?" says the haunting refrain

The above Chanukah poem was written by Morris Rosenfeld, in Yiddish, at a time when the land of Israel was a dream within a dream and the idea of Jews fighting for and gaining their homeland seemed impossible. Morris died in 1924, before the dream first became a reality, and then, later, became a nightmare:

Hell is a Jewish state devoid of Jewish values that picks up where the anti-Semites, the pogromers, and the exilers left off. Hell is a Jewish prime minister who has become a cannibal of his own people. Hell is when a country has lost its will to exist and begins a process of national suicide. Hell is when Jews with Jewish values have become outcast in their own land. Hell is when the Jewish state becomes worse than the exile. - Gershon Perlman

Tonight, at sundown, Jewish people begin the celebration of a miracle, the miracle of Chanukah. Do you believe in miracles? I do. I believe it is no less than a miracle that the State of Israel continues to exist despite the best efforts of its enemies both within and without. I believe in the Promises and I believe there are miracles yet to be seen.

Isaiah 31:4 For thus saith the LORD unto me: Like as the lion, or the young lion, growling over his prey, though a multitude of shepherds be called forth against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them; so will the LORD of hosts come down to fight upon mount Zion, and upon the hill thereof.

Isaiah 31:5 As birds hovering, so will the LORD of hosts protect Jerusalem; He will deliver it as He protecteth it, He will rescue it as He passeth over.

Yes. I believe in miracles. Happy Chanukah!

Bal Harbour, Florida

It's part of Miami Beach, very upscale, and about 60 blocks south of my home.

Dovid Hazan's attackers didn't take his wallet. They spotted his Yarmulka, knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the face time and time again. They were screaming he said. He couldn’t get the exact words that became lost in a haze of boots to the face. "They screamed and said many things but, all I wanted to do was cover my face. I never saw them, I have no idea who they are, I had no words exchanged with them. They saw me and they came out of the blue," said Hazan. "No place is safe for Jews. I'm sorry to say it. No place is safe. People that hate Jews will find all kinds of excuses to hate us. Whether it's going to be the economy, whether it's going to be anything, they always find excuses why to hate us. We're going to be target of any type of problem."

Dovid Hazan is a teacher at a Jewish day school on the beach, he came to live in Bal Harbor from Israel four years ago with his wife and triplets.

Refuah Shelayma.

They've got goals!

MoveOn has launched its agenda-setting process - asking its members to help decide what MoveOn should focus on in 2009. Because I like to know what the enemy is up to, I signed up for their emails last year, so I got an invitation to participate. I took a little peek and, from the looks of it, I guess we can expect the same old same old from MoveOn in 2009, cause that's all there is, over and over and over again. No surprises.

They still want to destroy the Military and this asshat found a really novel reason to do it:

I bet Jerry in Chicago gets five stars for that one, he manages to be pro-union and anti-military and green all in the same goal. Here's a surprise, they even have a special category for what to do about George W. Bush next year, lots of entries in that category, and some of them ran right off the page:

Somewhere along the line, I clicked through something that said something about income equality, I couldn't find again, and then I got bored, so I made a little suggestion of my own:

Now that's a goal that could have real impact on the planet and its resources. Think of how much better off the world would be if all those millions of MoveOn members stopped consumming all that air and all that food and reduced their carbon footprint to zero. Still, I don't think they'll like it much and I'm sure they'll delete right away, but really, it's a good suggestion and if there were even a shred of honesty in any of them, they would take me up on it. I would have made a few more suggestions, I'm full of really good ideas like that, but they only let you make one! Of course, it'll probably get me kicked off the mailing list. oh well.

After I plugged that baby in, it took me straight to this moron:

Imagine that! We get rid of all of our nuclear weapons right away, completely and totally disarm, and then we say, hey world, we got rid of all of our nuclear weapons. Isn't that great! Now, you do it too and we can all live in peace and harmony! Of course the rest of the world will get rid of their weapons and completely and totally disarm too! Of course they will.

My brief visit with MoveOn has left me with one lingering hope, I hope that Bill H from New York NY is gay, really, I do, and I hope this hope for no other reason then I just want to be sure that Bill H keeps his damn moron genes out of the gene pool. That's right. We got troubles enough already without that moron reproducing more morons and perpetuating that kind of stupidity on future generations.

Today's Anti-Semite

is the Church of England, where about two weeks ago a service was held at the historic Wren church of St. James's, Picadily, in Central London that included lessons on how to hate Jews.

The stars of the show were a group of anti-Israel activists, most of them Palestinians and some Jews, who are urging a boycott of products made in the Jewish state.

... and The "Twelve Days of Christmas" was sung as "Twelve assassinations/11 homes demolished/10 wells obstructed/Nine sniper towers/Eight gunships firing/Seven checkpoints blocking/Six tanks a-rolling/Five settlement rings. Four falling bombs/Three trench guns/Two trampled doves/And an uprooted olive tree."

Pretty lame lyrics though, they were not a very accurate depiction of the "conflict," as it was missing so many daily common elements. I couldn't resist giving it a try myself:

12 quassam rockets
11 smuggler tunnels
10 suicide bombers
9 blown up busses
8 kidnapped soldiers
7 fake dead children
6 rocks a throwing
5 martyrs' mommys
4 honor killings
3 churches burning (sshhhh)
2 more blood libels
and 1 Jew pushed into the sea.

After the event was publicized, Israeli Ambassador to Britain Ron Prosor accused the Church of England and its heads of failing to sufficiently condemn the service. "Unfortunately, the criticism from within the Church of England, that should have echoed with bold moral clarity, has instead sounded like a silent night, but far from holy."

In other words, the Church declined to object or otherwise condemn the blatant attack on Israel made from the pulpit of the Church, and in its silence, it effectively gave its seal of approval to the message.

The Church of England, well, it appears to have forgetten their own origins, and somehow lost its way. If this is the message the Church is giving today, then perhaps it's not so surprising that less than 15% of its membership bother to show up for services even once a year anywhere, even in the City of Bethlehem itself.

Of course, I'm no expert on Christmas Carols, but I seem to remember some of the words to one... "Noel, noel! Noel, noel! Born is the King of ..." um... now let me see... what was that next word? Yannow, I don't think it was Palestine. and.... um.... when was that song written anyways? Yannow, I think its almost two hundred years older than what the Palestinians call nabka.

Dammit. No more Onion here. Ever.

I ain't laughing today, not at the Onion. and in fact, I won't watch another thing they put out, ever again. Don't tip me to them, kay?

Why? Well, because of this:

Satire and comedy have its place and serve its purpose, but that place and purpose is never to mock and humilate our troops and I will not support or tolerate such things from anyone under any circumstances, in any format. What the Onion has done here is no less than shameful, I'm horrified at the thought that our wounded warriors and their loved ones will see this mockery of all they believe in, this mockery of their courage, their dedication to their vows, their bravery and their honor.

I'm done with the Onion. I'll make one last visit to the site to see who their advertisers are, and then, I'll avoid those companies and products as well.

UPDATE: Interestingly, it seems the Onion may have reconsidered the message in this video, perhaps after reading letters like this one from Charles Ziegenfuss, as it seems that the Onion removed the video from its main site and from its youtube page, however, my direct embed link and other direct embed links are still active.

Happy Anniversary

To The Universal Declaration of Human Rights!

That's right! Today is the 60th Anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted and proclaimed by General Assembly resolution 217 A (III) on 10 December 1948.

Although, in all fairness, times have changed since then, and really, there should be some updating to properly reflect today's current United Nations policies on Human Rights, so, in the interests of honesty and full disclosure, I thought I'd give it a bit of a re-write, starting with the Preamble:

PREAMBLE
Whereas recognition that a belief in Islam as the one true religion of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights perpetuated by the Evil Zionist Entity with the assistance of the Great Satan America have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged Muslims and offended the Prophet the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be all Muslims are compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against the Evil Zionists and the Great Satan America, and to fight against their tyranny and oppression, that human Muslim rights should be protected by the rule of law, and therefore said Zionist and American tyrants and oppressors shall be blown to bits whenever and wherever they may be found,

Whereas it is essential to promote the development of friendly relations between nations, in order to lull them into a false sense of security before overthrowing their government and implementing Islamic Law,

Whereas the peoples of the United Nations have in the Charter reaffirmed their faith in Islam and their rejection of all other fundamental human rights, believing only in the dignity and worth of the human person who follows the Prophet Mohamed, and in the equal rights of men and women who follow the Prophet Mohamedand have determined to promote Islam as the one true religion, social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,

Whereas Member States have pledged themselves to achieve, in co-operation with the United Nations, the promotion of universal respect for and observance of Islam as the one true religion, denying all other human rights and fundamental freedoms,

Whereas a common understanding of these rights and freedoms is of the greatest importance for the full realization of this pledge,

Now, Therefore THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY proclaims THIS UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF AN END TO ALL OTHER HUMAN RIGHTS as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations, to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping this Declaration constantly in mind, shall strive by teaching and education to promote Islam as the one true religion, and to bring about an end to the Zionist Entity and the Great Satan America by any means, fair or foul, to strike down the infidel wherever found, in any way possible, at all times, using any and all means at hand, by progressive measures, national and international, to secure the universal and effective recognition and observance of Islam, both among the peoples of Member States themselves and among the peoples of territories under their jurisdiction.

Article 1.
All human beings Muslims are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. Infidels should be converted or, if they refuse to convert, killed.

In case you were wondering...

Racism ain't dead:

Yes, it's finally here, the official internet browser made just for African Americans, that's right, it's not for white people, unless of course, you're one of them dumb ass jive talking whiteys running around wearing your cap ass-backwards and those stupid low-rider baggy pants with your belt under your ass and your underwear showing. It features: Black Search, Black News Ticker, and Black Bookmarks and it's gonna make the world a better place.

"Blackbird was developed on the simple proposition that we, as the African American community, can make the Internet experience better for ourselves and, in doing so, make it better for everyone.

Primarily we believe that the Blackbird application can make it easier to find African American related content on he Internet and to interact with other members of the African American community online by sharing stories, news, comments and videos via Blackbird."

Yup. Rather than be united and together, according to the founders of Blackbird, it would be better for black people to keep their black perspective separate and apart from our white perspective, because after all, "85% of African Americans prefer online news and information from the Black perspective." So, 40A, Inc., a company founded by three African American entrepreneurs, came up with a way to keep all that white perspective from clogging up the black perspective on the internets, because splitting the internet up into sections based on race is going to make the world a better place!

I guess that's just what Martin Luther King was really dreaming about, keeping black perspective separate and apart from white perspective. Split up, divided, and apart, or some such something or other. Silly me, I must have misunderstood.

So. Why just a browser then, heck, why not just split up and divide the internet into the black internet and the white internet, and keep those perspectives separate and apart so the world is a better place and while we're fixing things for black people to make it better for everyone, well, next, we can split up the water fountains and the bathrooms too. That way we can keep our nasty white perspective to ourselves, and avoid contaminating the black perspective.

Yeah. Racism ain't dead. It just changed sides, to a place where it has finally found social and political acceptance. Progress is so progressive, ain't it?

UPDATE: ROFLMAO!!

A little change in your Nativity?

The Santa Llucia Christmas market in Barcelona sells everything you could need for your nativity scene. Little statues of Joseph and Mary? Check. A little baby Jesus? Check. Donkeys, sheep and cows? Check. Defecating world leaders? You betcha!

The 'caganer' (literally 'defecator') is a feature of Catalan nativity scenes. The figure is usually tucked away in a corner of the model, far away from the manger itself, for children to find. The caganer represents fertility and equality.

The figure was traditionally a representation of a Catalan peasant wearing a red stocking hat but oh my, how times have changed...

It appears that's only one with a slogan. Makes you proud, don't it?
