They've got goals!
MoveOn has launched its agenda-setting process - asking its members to help decide what MoveOn should focus on in 2009. Because I like to know what the enemy is up to, I signed up for their emails last year, so I got an invitation to participate. I took a little peek and, from the looks of it, I guess we can expect the same old same old from MoveOn in 2009, cause that's all there is, over and over and over again. No surprises.
They still want to destroy the Military and this asshat found a really novel reason to do it:

I bet Jerry in Chicago gets five stars for that one, he manages to be pro-union and anti-military and green all in the same goal. Here's a surprise, they even have a special category for what to do about George W. Bush next year, lots of entries in that category, and some of them ran right off the page:

Somewhere along the line, I clicked through something that said something about income equality, I couldn't find again, and then I got bored, so I made a little suggestion of my own:

Now that's a goal that could have real impact on the planet and its resources. Think of how much better off the world would be if all those millions of MoveOn members stopped consumming all that air and all that food and reduced their carbon footprint to zero. Still, I don't think they'll like it much and I'm sure they'll delete right away, but really, it's a good suggestion and if there were even a shred of honesty in any of them, they would take me up on it. I would have made a few more suggestions, I'm full of really good ideas like that, but they only let you make one! Of course, it'll probably get me kicked off the mailing list. oh well.
After I plugged that baby in, it took me straight to this moron:

Imagine that! We get rid of all of our nuclear weapons right away, completely and totally disarm, and then we say, hey world, we got rid of all of our nuclear weapons. Isn't that great! Now, you do it too and we can all live in peace and harmony! Of course the rest of the world will get rid of their weapons and completely and totally disarm too! Of course they will.
My brief visit with MoveOn has left me with one lingering hope, I hope that Bill H from New York NY is gay, really, I do, and I hope this hope for no other reason then I just want to be sure that Bill H keeps his damn moron genes out of the gene pool. That's right. We got troubles enough already without that moron reproducing more morons and perpetuating that kind of stupidity on future generations.

Utopia by definition is an imaginary place considered to be perfect or ideal. That is until you are personally assaulted, invaded and enslaved. A novel thought I've used before buying a new car is to rent one in the model I want for the day, try it out beyond that dealer test drive. Maybe, like some of us who have seen oppression, these insular fools need a shot at first hand oppression, some need to take a couple weeks and walk the streets of Lebanon, Tehran, and Damascus, with no body guards allowed and no compound living either. They're always the first to yell foul and demand protection. In their case I'd see no problem with mob rule being imposed upon them. For starters let's disarm the police in their uber liberal strongholds, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and San Francisco just for starters, according to their thinking there is no need for an armed protection force of any kind.

I like your idea. Too bad your analysis is probably right and your submission will be deleted.
If it weren't for the fact that it would involve the rest of us, I might almost hope that Bill H. would get his wish. Bill H. was obviously not taught history. I wonder if he has seen the signs of true evil: the concentration and labor camps (or the gulags), via actual visits or newsreels/books. He would see the need for our nuclear weapons and the military as a shield against that evil. Despite the professional democrats and socialists (and communists), there are still a lot of good people in this country, and a lot of things worth saving--and we need to try.

I have been advocating the outing of gays who will be able to join with other gays and prove that finding enjoyment in having things shoved up your anus is a genetic flaw. Forcing them into hiding so that they could abuse their wives and breed more gay people was wrong. Allowing them to prove it is not a choice is a wonder of modern times. If they disappear, it is genetic. If they are still here in another few century, then it is a choice. Or some of them are cheating on their love for other men...
Happy Hanukkha!
