Hello Acorn
Caught on tape again, this time trying to make a buck selling Gadsden Flags purchased with tax dollars to Patriots at the Tea Party in Washington. When they got caught and named for what they were, they got a little violent...
"This is footage of a small group of ACORN activists getting shooed away from the 9/12 DC rally at the Capitol. Apparently someone in the organization decided it'd be ironic to sell "Don't Tread On Me" flags to protesters with proceeds going to ACORN.
The plan didn't work out so well as one of the protesters, Tim Jones, overheard the police telling the ACORN folk to leave the rally. After circling a bit, the activists tried to continue their flag marketing, but Mr. Jones would not have it. He followed them announcing to the crowd that they were ACORN provocateurs.
Consequently, Tim was hit in the face, shoved and even his wife was rustled up a bit. But his efforts paid off as the Capitol Police eventually intervened and showed ACORN the way out."
You might want to catch this quick. I get the feeling youtube may dump it soon.

I have a utility, called DownloadHelper, that I have used to download YouTube videos for the sole intent of re-publishing them (and keeping them on my computer for other re-publishing) in a fight to beat back the false accusations of copy-right infringement. Patterico has called for making some vids viral in response to CNN and Perez Hilton (that knock-off named openly-homosexual who attacked Miss California), who tried to invoke copyright laws on YouTube. I would use my application to download the vid but my (with permission) borrowed zero-bar wifi connection is far too unstable. It takes me at least 15 min to view a sub-2-min vid, much less download it.
But, in the interest of truth, I would suggest everyone download the obviously copyright-free (as far as ACORN-ownership is concerned) YouTube vid and then make it viral by uploading it with your own personal YouTube accounts.

For the interest of showing the vids I'm talking about that I rebroadcast, at the behest of Patterico, my YouTube name is "armygirlsdad".

Thanks. I grabbed a copy right away, firefox has a plug-in that will let you grab a youtube as well. I've had it for a while, can't remember where I got it but I'm sure a bing search will bring it up. I'll look for you on youtube armygirlsdad!

Linda, I'm not sure what Firefox util you're talking about but I run Firefox and my button calls it "DownloadHelper." Patterico (or someone else on his site) gave me that info when I wanted to help that CNN vid go viral. I have only uploaded 3 vids, 2 at the behest of Patterico. And my internet connection has been trashed since I did that. Something to do with a 90 percent income reduction, or something. ;)

John, I sent you an email with a link.
This is the same link made tiny:
It works very well for me, I've never had a moment of grief with it, or found a youtube that it wouldn't download. Let me know if you have any trouble and I'll try to help.

Great video. It's nice to see ACORN get busted publicly.

Clarification, Perez Hilton attacked the Miss California runner-up. I misspoke earlier.

Great vid... keep busting 'em!
Interesting that they are trying a little free-enterprise marketing though.

Heya, Linda.
I think the Firefox plugin everyone is looking for might be Flashgot. It's pretty good at snagging Youtube videos.
Pet Moosh for me!

I was in Washington DC for the 9/12 March. I have also been at several other TEA Parties in my state. The last one I was at in Milwaukee had three guys selling these flags. They just stand at the entrance to the TEA Parties or walk around the crowd selling them rather than set up a booth. Because I knew of what happened in DC, I questioned the guys about who they were and who received the profits from the sales. They became very agitated with me. They told me the money was for them and showed me their permit they received from the county that gave them permission to sell for the day. They also said they were going to be in Pittsburgh at the G20 to sell flags too. One guy walked away from me when I told him that I sell items also, but all of my profits go back into funding future TEA Parties. The next thing I knew, was he wearing a Staff T-shirt that he took from a young staffer who was horrified when she learned she gave a Staff shirt to a non-staff volunteer. The men dissapeared when other volunteers stood at the entrance with information hand outs regarding ACORN. I think we need to pass the information along to TEA Party attendees that ACORN is most likely using our tax dollars to purchase Gadsden and American Flags and then selling them to us while pocketing our money. I can't prove any of this however, I only buy things at TEA Paries after I learn who the people represent and where the money goes. I can't stand the fact that these people continue to reap benefits at our expense.
