Offer me the illegal immigrant plan

That's amazing. 0bamessiah sits there on national TV and tells Americans he doesn't think it's fair for Americans to have to pay for healthcare for other Americans while just last week he told Americans that it's fair and right and moral for Americans to pay for healthcare for illegal immigrants who are here stealing jobs from real Americans during the worst job crisis since the Depression.

Tell ya what 0bamessiah, sign me up for the illegal immigrant healthcare plan, you know, the one you say is fair and right and moral for illegals immigrants, the one where they just show up at any hospital in this country for any cough or cold or open heart surgery or anything at all and no one asks them for a dime. You know, the illegal immigrant healthcare plan that American taxpayers pay for, the one that pays even if they get hit by a bus.

Thanks to you bleeding heart liberals, I've been putting my hard earned money into that healthcare plan for years and years and years and years and reaping no benefit from it whatsoever.

Instead of making them legal for the purpose of healthcare, make me illegal. Seems like a better deal to me.

Good Morning America

Ain't this a nice thing to wake up to?

President Pantywaist strikes again, making the world safer for tyrants and thugs while the good people of America slept soundly in their beds.

In Europe, they're calling it "an appalling appeasement of Russian aggression" and they're right. That's exactly what it is. The end result is no one in the world is safer, and everyone in the world is less safe. Not only has 0bama allowed America to be intimidated by Russia, but he has abandoned our allies in order to appease Putin. This is an international disaster of epic proportion.

Remember this day, for it shall go down in history.

Hello Acorn

Caught on tape again, this time trying to make a buck selling Gadsden Flags purchased with tax dollars to Patriots at the Tea Party in Washington. When they got caught and named for what they were, they got a little violent...

"This is footage of a small group of ACORN activists getting shooed away from the 9/12 DC rally at the Capitol. Apparently someone in the organization decided it'd be ironic to sell "Don't Tread On Me" flags to protesters with proceeds going to ACORN.

The plan didn't work out so well as one of the protesters, Tim Jones, overheard the police telling the ACORN folk to leave the rally. After circling a bit, the activists tried to continue their flag marketing, but Mr. Jones would not have it. He followed them announcing to the crowd that they were ACORN provocateurs.

Consequently, Tim was hit in the face, shoved and even his wife was rustled up a bit. But his efforts paid off as the Capitol Police eventually intervened and showed ACORN the way out."

You might want to catch this quick. I get the feeling youtube may dump it soon.

Ahem.

The bill specifically and deliberately omits a citizenship verification system, which is meant to create a loophole for illegal immigrants to get coverage, and it does create a loopholde for illegal immigrants to get coverage.

But really, when it comes to illegal immigrants, the bill just maintains the status quo. Because illegal immigrants have free healthcare in this country right now. They can walk into any hospital in this country and get treatment for anything at all and no one will ask them for a dime. What they will do is tack those dimes onto the bills that you and I pay. Healthcare in this country is 100% free for illegal immigrants, it's just not free for us, and that's just one of the reasons healthcare in America is so expensive. We pay for them and the bill maintains the status quo.

For shits and giggles, the bill adds the union thugs to the list of deadbeats we Americans get to pay for.

So President 0bama, take your damn illegal immigrant loophole and shove it where the sun don't shine. We are not as stupid as you seem to think we are.

Oh, and McCain, piss off already! I am so sick of the sound of your voice. Do us all a favor, cross the aisle and stay there.

Quote of the Day

A little straight talk by Doug Giles titled Hey Assholes, Obama wants to talk to your kids:

... when a person—president or otherwise—spurns our desires and he and his top advisors wildly misspend our money, mitigate our liberties, urinate on our values, and call us a**holes, Nazis, terrorists, Astroturf and retards, well, said person and his pals will not only fail to receive our respect or votes, but they have forfeited the privilege of addressing our kids—or our dogs for matter.

Even when put that simply, still, they'll never get it.

Banking crisis?

I guess that depends on what you call a crisis:

If you find it too small to read, it says: It's true that bank failures have risen sharply in the past two years. But this is by no means the worst period ever. Indeed, the 82 banks that have failed so far this year pale in comparison to the average 329 failures each year from 1986 through 1992. That was the biggest surge of failures ever, dwarfing even the 51 a year during the Great Depression. No question, banks are troubled right now. But it's not a "collapse," as some have described the situation.

It also gets bigger if you click it.

I found that little goodie at IBD Editorials.com, where I seem to find a lot of good things.

How do you feel about the flu vaccine?

In Massachusetts, it's about to become the law. If it happens there, it could happen anywhere, and everywhere.

Yep. You better take it, cause it's the law. No matter if it kills more people then the damn flu kills. They want you to take it and, starting in Massachusetts, you're going to take it. They're gonna bring in outside people to make you take it help distribute it, Acorn like as not.

You don't wanna take it? Well. If you won't take it, then they'll just have to lock your ass up for the good of the people, quarantine you, even if you're not sick. Presumably, they'll have a special camp for ya. And if they put you there, well, they'll fine you $1,000 a day to keep you there.

It's not a pandemic, unless of course, they say it is.

And if they say is, well, then it is, isn't it?

When even Air America sounds like... right wingnuts:

It's hard to pick the best line in this Air America moment. I can't decide if it's when the host says 0bamamessiah is "such a charming liar" or if it's when Greg Palast says "it makes me puke that we've just been cheneyed by a guy named Barack Obama" or if it's when he asks "what if the people screaming and breaking up the discussions at the town meetings are correct?"

Eh. It's probably when Palast asks what if it's really is an absolute fascist nightmare.

Yup. That's happening on progressive leftist radio. Imagine that.

Now that's change I can believe in.

It takes a special kind of stupid

to justify spending trillions of dollars we don't have by telling retired folks this:

“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that's what I’m telling you.”

I'm in awe, simply in awe. To reach such a height of idiocy is simply beyond the ability of your average human being. Bravo Joe. When you got the nod for VP, I knew we were in for it, but never did I anticpate headlines like this:

I'll bet that gives Olberman a tingle or two.

Meet John Holdren

0bama's Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar, and, a man who believes that forced abortions and mass sterilization are what is needed to save the planet.

In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;
• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food;
• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;
• People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.
• A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.

Impossible, you say? That must be an exaggeration or a hoax. No one in their right mind would say such things.

Well, I hate to break the news to you, but it is no hoax, no exaggeration. John Holdren really did say those things.

It seems not a single day goes by that I am not shocked and horrified by yet another aspect of this administration and its plans for this country.

This is what people hope for? This is change people want? It's not just insane, it's evil.

I can't imagine what life would be like if they reach their goals, if the world they want to create, if the vision they have of our future, if the horrors they have planned for us actually came to be. The utopia they invision would be hell, hell on earth. I wonder how close they'll come, before we rise up and put a stop to it.

Thank you for the link Yonason. You were right, I had no idea.

Meet Ian Plimer

He's an Australian geologist, and the man who has exposed the great climate change con trick:

The hypothesis that human activity can create global warming is extraordinary because it is contrary to validated knowledge from solar physics, astronomy, history, archaeology and geology,’ says Plimer, and while his thesis is not new, you’re unlikely to have heard it expressed with quite such vigour, certitude or wide-ranging scientific authority. Where fellow sceptics like Bjorn Lomborg or Lord Lawson of Blaby are prepared cautiously to endorse the International Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) more modest predictions, Plimer will cede no ground whatsoever. Anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory, he argues, is the biggest, most dangerous and ruinously expensive con trick in history.

...

So go on then, Prof. What makes you sure that you’re right and all those scientists out there saying the opposite are wrong? ‘I’m a geologist. We geologists have always recognised that climate changes over time. Where we differ from a lot of people pushing AGW is in our understanding of scale. They’re only interested in the last 150 years. Our time frame is 4,567 million years. So what they’re doing is the equivalent of trying to extrapolate the plot of Casablanca from one tiny bit of the love scene. And you can’t. It doesn’t work.’

What Heaven And Earth sets out to do is restore a sense of scientific perspective to a debate which has been hijacked by ‘politicians, environmental activists and opportunists’. It points out, for example, that polar ice has been present on earth for less than 20 per cent of geological time; that extinctions of life are normal; that climate changes are cyclical and random; that the CO2 in the atmosphere — to which human activity contributes the tiniest fraction — is only 0.001 per cent of the total CO2 held in the oceans, surface rocks, air, soils and life; that CO2 is not a pollutant but a plant food; that the earth’s warmer periods — such as when the Romans grew grapes and citrus trees as far north as Hadrian’s Wall — were times of wealth and plenty.

All this is scientific fact — which is more than you can say for any of the computer models turning out doomsday scenarios about inexorably rising temperatures, sinking islands and collapsing ice shelves. Plimer doesn’t trust them because they seem to have little if any basis in observed reality.

‘I’m a natural scientist. I’m out there every day, buried up to my neck in sh**, collecting raw data. And that’s why I’m so sceptical of these models, which have nothing to do with science or empiricism but are about torturing the data till it finally confesses. None of them predicted this current period we’re in of global cooling. There is no problem with global warming. It stopped in 1998. The last two years of global cooling have erased nearly 30 years of temperature increase.’

The article is a fascinating read, the story behind the publishing of the book is no less than amazing on its own. It made me sit up a little straighter, it made my fingers twitch, the activist in me was re-activated and I once again wanted to do something to stop this stupidity. And that's just from reading the article. I'd probably go nuts if I read the book.

Reading Plimer’s Heaven And Earth is at once an enlightening and terrifying experience. Enlightening because, after 500 pages of heavily annotated prose (the fruit of five years’ research), you are left in no doubt that man’s contribution to the thing they now call ‘climate change’ was, is and probably always will be negligible. Terrifying, because you cannot but be appalled by how much money has been wasted, how much unnecessary regulation drafted because of a ‘problem’ that doesn’t actually exist. (South Park, as so often, was probably the first to point this out in a memorable episode where Al Gore turns up to warn the school kids about a terrible beast, looking a bit like the Gruffalo, known as ManBearPig.)

Has it come in time to save the day, though? If there’s any justice, Heaven And Earth will do for the cause of climate change realism what Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth did for climate change alarmism. But as Plimer well knows, there is now a powerful and very extensive body of vested interests up against him: governments like President Obama’s, which intend to use ‘global warming’ as an excuse for greater taxation, regulation and protectionism; energy companies and investors who stand to make a fortune from scams like carbon trading; charitable bodies like Greenpeace which depend for their funding on public anxiety; environmental correspondents who need constantly to talk up the threat to justify their jobs.

Does he really believe his message will ever get through? Plimer smiles. ‘If you’d asked any scientist or doctor 30 years ago where stomach ulcers come from, they would all have given the same answer: obviously it comes from the acid brought on by too much stress. All of them apart from two scientists who were pilloried for their crazy, whacko theory that it was caused by a bacteria. In 2005 they won the Nobel prize. The “consensus” was wrong.’

What a dose of reality that is. We do have that magical number 60, and all the activism in the world is not going to get around it. Why? Because there are too many idiots out there:

Plimer’s uncompromising position has not made him popular. ‘They say I rape cows, eat babies, that I know nothing about anything. My favourite letter was the one that said: “Dear sir, drop dead”. I’ve also had a demo in Sydney outside one of my book launches, and I’ve had mothers coming up to me with two-year-old children in their arms saying: “Don’t you have any kind of morality? This child’s future is being destroyed.’’’ Plimer’s response to the last one is typically robust. ‘If you’re so concerned, why did you breed?’

What will the United States of America be like after 30 years of cap and trade, socialism and spreading the wealth? Take a good hard look at Cuba, I fear therein lies the answer.

Job Hunting?

Good Luck!

With unemployment at 16%, and maybe even at 20%, we are in a lot of trouble. Once rising taxes start having more of an impact on the business, unemployment will go even higher. We are about to see once and for all exactly what an unchecked liberal agenda will do the economy and this Country. It ain't gonna be pretty.

The video report spends a bit of time talking about the difficulties that convicts are having in the job market. Yeah well, surprise, surprise. There are consequences, and in this job market, with millions of people unemployed, why hire a convict to stock your shelves or sweep out your store or serve your customers when you can hire an over qualified college graduate to do it? The way things are going, you could probably hire an ex-policeman to do it.

I know, it's hard to get worked up about criminals who can't find a job, especially since some of us are looking ourselves and most of us know at lease one person who is now looking. But if you don't care about all those criminals, you should, but not for the reasons they're talking about in the report.

Just the other day my very good friend Rodg had a post up about a group of self proclaimed anarchists who are planning what they call "the Coming Insurrection." The post prompted an interesting discussion that did not necessarily stay on topic, as sometimes happens, and I'm going to duplicate my contribution to the discussion here:

Earlier this week here in Miami, we had a guy pulled over by a couple of trolls with a phony police light on their dash. They robbed him, beat him, and left him on the side of the road.

With actual unemployment numbers up at around 16%, crime is going to go right throught the roof. All states are laying off police and court personnel. LEO response time is going to be worse then ever and only the really bad stuff is going to be prosecuted anyways. We're gonna have to protect ourselves as best we can in the coming shit storm.

If these insurrectionists wanna gang up and go after the 0bama army of community organizers, well, I'd be tempted to pop some popcorn and turn on the TV.

I believe the real problem is, that 0bama will label anything they do as right wing extremism, and use it to take our guns and our rights away, just I believe as he'll use any moslem terrorist attack on US soil to do the same thing.

Call me paranoid.

The insanity of the crime wave going on here in South Florida is unbelievable. Home invasions are becoming pretty much a daily thing. Grocery shopping is putting your life on the line. They follow you home and get you when you're carrying your groceries into the house. At the end of May, a man was shot several times while he was mowing his lawn, two guys tried to rob him, he put up a fight and they shot him.

Very early this past Easter, I think I narrowly escaped a mugging myself outside of the local 7-11. I was coming out, a little after 8am. I had 2 bottles of coffee (starbucks mocha frap) in one hand and my wallet and keys in the other. As I came up on my truck, reflected in the window, I saw this black guy running right at me with one hand in the air, and something in his hand, it could have been anything. I didn't think, I just dropped the coffee, snatched the door open and jumped in the truck as quick as I could. Pulled the door shut and locked it. I looked out and he had turned around, was running the other way. I think the bastard was gonna hit my head with what was in his hand, a sap or a coosh or whatever, and snatch my wallet except I got lucky and saw him, got in the truck too quick for him.

And you know what? If he had hit me in the back of the head, he likely would have collapsed my skull. I just can't absorb a blow to the back of my head, not since I had brain surgery. My skull would simply cave in and I would probably die.

At the time, I was very calm about it. I just put the key in the ignition and drove away. I went down the road to the gas station and bought myself some more coffee, went home. But the thought kept coming back to me, I think I could very well have died right there in that 7-11 parking lot. Later that day, it caught up to me, I got the shakes and I actually cried for a bit.

I suppose he might have been lost, maybe he just needed directions and tried to catch me before I got in my truck. Maybe I overreacted and imagined the danger. Could be, but I don't think so and can't bring myself to go anywhere near that 7-11 again.

Anyways, the point is, crime is on the rise, and cities and states are laying off law enforcement and court personnel. The prosecution of criminals is happening less and less, and according to the report in that video up there, the next cost saving step is to reduce the number of prisoners presently incarcerated. To empty the prisons. This way, the city and state doesn't have to feed, clothe and house thousands and thousands of criminals.

The report in that video talks about prisons being emptied and how those thousands and thousands of criminals in that one state are going to swell the ranks of the unemployed, as if that's the only thing that matters. As if those criminals are all perfectly rehabilitated and are going to spend their time looking for a job. Yeah. Right.

What that report doesn't talk about is the fact that those thousands and thousands of criminals in that one state translates to millions of criminals across the country.

What that report doesn't talk about is that prisons are going to be emptied and millions of criminals are going to swell the ranks of criminals already on our streets. Because that's the reality of what's going to happen.

What that report doesn't talk about is how the prisons are going to be emptied, and milliions of criminals are going to swell the ranks of criminals already on our streets at a time when we have less and less police officers on the streets to catch them.

What that report doesn't talk about is that millions of criminals are going to swell the ranks of criminals already on our streets at a time when we have less and less police officers to catch them and less and less court personnel to prosecute them.

What that report doesn't talk about is that millions of criminals are going to swell the ranks of already criminals on our streets at a time when we have less and less police officers to catch them, less and less court personnel to prosecute them, at a time when we are not locking them up anyway because the cities and the states are emptying the prisons because they claim they can't afford to keep criminals locked up in the first place.

If your house is burglarized, if you're mugged, or raped, or otherwise the victim of crime, do you think anyone is going to care? Do you think your local police force is going to have the manpower to investigate? And if they do investigate, and if they actually catch the troll that did it, do you think they're gonna lock your troll up at a time when they're emptying the prisons of every other troll who was convicted of doing the same thing last year or the year before or even last month?

Bernie Madoff they'll keep in prison until he croaks. But the troll who raped your neighbor's daughter when he robbed their house? They're letting him out early.

It's a cold hard world out there, and it's getting colder and harder by the minute. I'm armed, but the cold, hard reality of life is, on Easter morning, my weapon would not have done me the slightest bit of good. I could not have gotten it into my hand and into a position to protect me in time to save my life. I got lucky, that's the plain and simple truth.

If your ass needs saving, you're gonna have to save it yourself, as best you can, because your government is too busy saving polar bears to worry about you. That's what the liberal agenda calls for and that's what this government is spending your money on, squandering away your future and putting your personal safety on the chopping block.

Children don't die from the Chicken Pox

Unless they live in third world countries where health care is unheard of, or, unless they live in civilized nations where the government is in control of health care:

On the February 14 last year Mr Alva-Nunes desperately rushed his son to A&E for a second time.

Doctors spent 20 to 30 minutes with him before sending him home with painkillers and antibiotics.

Three days later Fabio lost consciousness at home in Redhill and paramedics were called.

His mother, 36, told the Daily Mirror the paramedics decided to take him into hospital after three hours.

It was then more than 24 hours until Fabio was taken to Evelina Children's Hospital in south London where he died.

This is what Fabio looked like when he died:

Mrs Alves-Nunes told the Daily Mirror: "We held his hand as he slipped away."

Mr Alves-Nunes, 36, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We'll remember our little boy like this, his eyes so swollen he could barely see, his body covered in open weeping sores, his favourite pyjamas soaked through with blood, sweat and pus.

"He was hallucinating and so wiped out from the pain and dehydration he could not even lift his own head.

"We knew something was terribly wrong. So why didn't two doctors and three nurses?"

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, said it accepted there were sytematic failings, but denies they contributed to Fabio's death.

Indeed, that's why on the hospital report, all of the names of all of the people who took "care" of Fabio during his hospital stay were "blanked out."

Well hey, at least Fabio got to visit the hospital, and he was seen by a health care professional before he died. He received his fair share of bargain basement health care courtesy of the government. In the end, that's what really matters, isn't it?

Because nothing says Freedom

like barbecue and firecrackers:

and why not, what else would you expect, after all, while his Fourth of July honored guests slaughtered their people in the streets, the best thing 0bama could think of to do was to eat an ice cream.

How wonderful of 0bama to give the dictators a day off from killing those protestors, I'm sure they must be exhausted, busting heads and surpressing dissent certainly looks like hard work. I'm sure the hot dogs will be appreciated too, I bet they don't get that every day! I guess beer is just plain impossible but maybe they could have ice cream too! Such a kindness will surely be remembered and it's bound to help the peace process between our countries, dontcha think?

That 0bama is amazing, I mean, really! Bush never would have done such a thing. Never!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go throw up.

The Dictator 0bama is so willing to talk to

is busy killing his people even as I write these words. The chatter coming out of Tehran is horrifying:

The video:

The crowd is chanting "I will fight, I will die, I will take back my vote." What comes next?

and now:

That's less than 12 hours from now.

Please pray for these poor people who just want to be free of the tyrant that has stolen their freedom. They'll get no help from 0bama, who will only offer them pretty words, the same pretty words he offers us, while he sucks up to the same bastard who has denied them even basic human rights and civil liberties and who is now making a mockery of the election process, and killing them dead in the streets when they object to being railroaded by a dictator.

I bet you think such things could never happen here.

UPDATE: JUNE 15, 2009 7:36 AM EST

it's 4:00 pm now in Iran, six minutes past as I write this. Latest chatter says the protest march will go on, that former Iranian President khatami is with the students, and that Mousavi will appear as well. The Iranian "government" has denied "permission" to hold the march.

The Universities have been stormed, tear gas, pepper spray. known activists picked up and jailed. cell towers are down. Internet is sporadic and slow, difficult to load anything. most of the video coming out is one or two minutes. Anything longer crashes before it will load. Reports are that the nutjob has appeared on TV claiming that he is decendent from the prophet himself now but no one has loaded video of it yet. I've seen quite a few reports of that already, and that my friends, is the scariest thing yet.

The Iranian youth are marching in protest, and the government is shooting them in the streets. He will keep killing them, until they shut up.

Of course, don't expect 0bama to do anything, or the rest of the international world either. Oh no. They're much too busy trying to keep those damn Jews in Judea and Samaria from having babies to pay much attention to the peaceful democratic election process in Iran.

Speaking truth to power

as only the Sultan Knish can...

A year ago I was homeless, a little violent, a little crazy. I was living on the street and stabbing people in the face over crystal meth deals. And then I got paid 20 dollars to vote six times for Barack Obama, under six different names, and I was born again into six different men, one of whom was actually a woman, two of whom were dead, and one of whom was Donald Duck. Amen. Praise be Barack.

Today the glory of Barack Obama fills every corner of my life and it can fill yours too. People ask me all the time, "Jim, How can I be touched by the grace of Obama?" The answer is simple. All you have to do is believe. And pay up. Because Barack Obama needs your money. He can't do anything without your money.

Why should I give Barack Obama my money, you might be asking yourself?

I know you want the answer to that question, if fact, I know you can't wait to hear it. That's why you're gonna click right here to get it.

Obamessiah

No more beating around the bush, now they just plain say it:

That's Newsweek editor Evan Thomas, first calling President Reagan "parochial, chauvinist and provincial," and then declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God."

I saw that at Ace of Spades and all I could think was, stop the damm planet, I wanna get off.

WTF is happening to this country?

Just words?

In his Cairo speech, immediately after talking about the Holocaust, Obama said that "on the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people - Muslims and Christians - have suffered in pursuit of a homeland."

"Obama shockingly equated the destruction of European Jewry to the suffering Arabs brought upon themselves when they declared war on the nascent state of Israel," National Union MK Arye Eldad said. "If he doesn't understand the difference, perhaps he will when he visits the Buchenwald concentration camp [on Friday]. And if he still won't get it then, the Muslims will teach him a painful lesson that his predecessor learned on September 11."

Diaspora Affairs and Public Relations Minister Yuli Edelstein (Likud) blamed Obama's comparison between the Holocaust and the Palestinians' plight on previous Israeli governments for accepting the Palestinian narrative. He singled out Kadima leader Tzipi Livni, who he said emphasized Palestinian interests over Israel's as foreign minister.

Eldad's National Union colleague, MK Michael Ben-Ari, compared Obama to Pharoah and said that just as the Jewish people overcame one, the Jewish state would overcome the other.

Likud MK Danny Dannon wrote a letter to members of Congress criticizing Obama for his "new and disturbing trend of intensifying pressure on Israel," and asking them to join him in highlighting the dangers of Obama's policies.

While Netanyahu asked his ministers not to attack Obama after the speech, some refused to remain silent.

"Obama ignored the fact that the Palestinians have not abandoned terror," Habayit Hayehudi chairman Daniel Herschkowitz said during a tour of settlements south of Hebron. "The government of Israel is not America's lackey. The relations with the Americans are based on friendship and not submission, and therefore Israel must tell Obama that stopping natural growth in the settlements is a red line."

and... The citizens committees of Judea and Samaria refused to remain silent as well:

"... Hussein Obama chose to adopt the lying versions of the Arabs, which were always stated persistently and brazenly, over the Jewish truth, which is stated in a weak and stuttering voice," the settlers said in a statement.

It was time for Netanyahu to join the ranks of Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, "arise as a proud Jewish leader and declare that he rejects with repugnance the rewritten history that Obama attempted to dictate today," they said.

G-d help us. There can be no doubt as to the intentions of this president.

Forget Hump Day

Wednesday, June 3, 2009 has been declared...

Uh, that would be in "honor" of the infamous fist bump that Mr. and Mrs. Obamessiah did on the campaign trail on June 3, 2008.

Sigh. This post is made purely for informational purposes only. I ain't saying nothing about it, because anything I might say would only get me in trouble. Big trouble.

Today's Multiple Choice:

By now, you've all heard or read "The Duel on Terror" speech by both Cheney and 0bama. so, let's play a little game. Without peeking at a transcript... take a guess at who made the following statements in his speech:

Obama or Cheney?:

We are less than eight years removed from the deadliest attack on American soil in our history. We know that al Qaeda is actively planning to attack us again. We know that this threat will be with us for a long time, and that we must use all elements of our power to defeat it.

Obama or Cheney?:

After 9/11, we knew that we had entered a new era – that enemies who did not abide by any law of war would present new challenges to our application of the law; that our government would need new tools to protect the American people, and that these tools would have to allow us to prevent attacks instead of simply prosecuting those who try to carry them out.

Obama or Cheney?:

[T]oo often – our government made decisions based upon fear rather than foresight, and all too often trimmed facts and evidence to fit ideological predispositions. Instead of strategically applying our power and our principles, we too often set those principles aside as luxuries that we could no longer afford. And in this season of fear, too many of us – Democrats and Republicans; politicians, journalists and citizens – fell silent.

Obama or Cheney?:

Military commissions have a history in the United States dating back to George Washington and the Revolutionary War. They are an appropriate venue for trying detainees for violations of the laws of war. They allow for the protection of sensitive sources and methods of intelligence-gathering; for the safety and security of participants; and for the presentation of evidence gathered from the battlefield that cannot be effectively presented in federal Courts.

Obama or Cheney?:

Al Qaeda terrorists and their affiliates are at war with the United States, and those that we capture – like other prisoners of war – must be prevented from attacking us again.

Obama or Cheney?:

In our constitutional system, prolonged detention should not be the decision of any one man.

Obama or Cheney?:

[T]he American people are more interested in doing what is right to protect this country than in political posturing.

Obama or Cheney?:

Unlike the Civil War or World War II, we cannot count on a surrender ceremony to bring this journey to an end. Right now, in distant training camps and in crowded cities, there are people plotting to take American lives. That will be the case a year from now, five years from now, and – in all probability – ten years from now.

Surprisingly, every last one of those of those statements were made by 0bama in his speech, as noted by Charles Krauthammer in his article, "Obama In Bush Clothing.”

I found that over at The Stiletto, along with this most excellent bit of commentary:

The “duel” on Thursday wasn’t Obama vs. Cheney, it was Obama vs. Obama. His speech could only have been given by someone with multiple personality disorder – or a deeply conflicted liberal who (to borrow a phrase from the 1964 Goldwater campaign) in his heart knows Cheney is right. Obama must summon the backbone to squelch his inner McGovern and embrace his inner Cheney, because he is not going to be able to talk his way out of the national security threats we face in Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and even here at home.

If you're not reading The Stiletto on a regular basis, you should be.

Trial Balloon?

Much ado about nothing seems to pretty much sum up last week's meeting between the 0bamamessiah and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Neither one gave in to the other, nothing was resolved or even agreed upon, and Bibi went home without any DVDs or even an iPod. No fuss no bother, no real news bites, at least, on this side of the world.

However, once Bibi arrived home, things got a little interesting, that is, if you were paying attention. I was, after all, it was a landmark anniversay for Israel last week, Yom Yerushalayim, Jerusalem Day, the celebration of the Liberation of Jerusalem from the Jordanians in 1967 in the Six Day War. And Bibi showed up at Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva is the Yeshiva where an arab scum murdered eight young yeshiva students last year in a brutal terrorist attack that Israel's "Partners in Peace," the palestinians, celebrated in the streets and the rest of the world refused to condemn. But I digress.

The headline you didn't see in the American newspapers:

Prime Minister Netanyahu declared, "The flag that flies over the Kotel is the Israeli flag... Our holy places, the Temple Mount -- will remain under Israeli sovereignty forever.”

Between 1949 and 1967, the religious sites in the City, as well as all of Judea and Samaria, had been under the control of Jordan, which forbid entry of Jews to the Western Wall (Kotel) and other holy places, as well as barring Christians from churches. Israel immediately opened all holy sites to all religions after the entire city was re-united in 1967, returning the Old City to Israeli sovereignty after nearly 2,000 years.

That says so much, and yet so little.

It was a victory against all odds. The moment is preserved for eternity on this old clip, the soldiers and their commanders are in awe of their accomplishment. Watch as soldiers announce that they are in the Old City. Their CO signals back “Mazal Tov, Mazal Tov!” “The Temple Mount is in our hands.” “All honor to you” is the reply. Gen. Mordechai Gur's paratroopers raise the Israeli flag, and sing the Hatikvah, the national anthem. Jewish soldiers weep as they touch the Western Wall. Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren carries a Torah into the Old City. General Dayan and his staff arrive. The shofar is blown signaling victory in battle and the joy in, once again, having access to holy Jewish land. (thanks to Robert J. Avrech at Seraphic Secret for the translation)

All of Jerusalem is now united and it will stay united. The Flag that flies over the Kotel is the Israeli Flag.

If you know anything about the history of Jerusalem, you know that before Israel took control of the Old City, the arabs had no interest in it whatsoever. The only Arab head of state to visit Jerusalem was King Abdullah of Jordan. He did so in 1951 and during that visit and because of that visit, Abdullah was assassinated on the steps of the Al Aqsa Mosque by an Arab who accused him of making peace with Israel.

Until Israel united Jerusalem, the arabs had in interest in it, none at all.

Of course, the American Media is not going to tell us that 0bamamessiah had the arrogance to tell Israel to turn the Kotel over to the United Nations, an entity run by thugs and dictators whose purpose seems to be first the destruction of the State of Israel, and then the destruction of America. They might have told us, if only Israel had bowed to 0bamessiah's demand, but Bibi declined. I wonder what else the media is not telling us.

They tell us seventy-five percent of the Jewish vote went to this man, okay then. I find it somewhat amusing that hardly anyone I know will admit to voting for him, so those that did are now deeply ashamed and nearly all of the 0bama bumper stickers have disappeared, I hardly see any on the road these days.

Can't say that I blame them. If I had voted for him, I'd be ashamed too.

Oh Joy. They're gonna start here

That's one sure way to trim healthcare costs, cut out testing, deny older patients admission to the hospital and send them home to die. Yes indeed, that's the European healthcare model, coming soon to a hospital near you.

Leaders in Washington and the healthcare industry agree that costs must be slashed to find the money to pay for care for the 45 million uninsured Americans, whose annual medical expenses on average are about twice that of Europeans.

"Leaders in Washington." I don't know why anyone in this country would think it's a good idea to put our healthcare decisions into the hands of these same "Leaders in Washington" who run the DMV and the Post Office, the same "Leaders in Washington" who have bankrupted Social Security and Medicare. The same "Leaders in Washington" who have put our grandchildren into debt so they could mail millions of dollars in stimulus money to dead people.

When they talk about those "45 million uninsureds," what those "Leaders in Washington" don't bother to tell you is that the number of uninsureds includes 10 to 15 million criminal immigrants who have snuck into this country in violation of our laws and those "Leaders in Washington" should be more concerned with kicking them the hell out instead of providing them with free healthcare at the taxpayers' expense.

And... that number includes 10 million uninsureds who live in households earning considerably more than $50,000 per year, all of whom have access to healthcare, who could afford healthcare, but who have chosen to opt out of their spouses medical plans because they choose to spend the money on something else. Seeing how they are uninsured through their own choice, those "Leaders in Washington" should allow them to live with that choice.

Finally, a good many of the rest that number of uninsured already qualify for existing government programs but are too lazy to apply for themselves or their children. Let them get off their asses and do something for themselves for a change.

The healthcare crisis in this country is manufactured by the government as a means to an end, to make more government. More government can only be a bad thing for the quality of healthcare in this country and in the end, for the quality of life in this country.

What do we have to look forward to when it comes to healthcare in this country? Well, if we are going to follow the European model, we just have to look at Europe, where healthcare is cheaper, and supposedly, better.

Healthcare in Europe is cheaper than healthcare in America and that means it's better because it's cheaper? nah, it couldn't be that, only a moron would believe that. So, it must be that a higher mortality rate is better, because other than price, that's the only area in healthcare that Europe is doing better than America.

That must be it! Europeans have a much higher mortality rate than Americans for common cancers. In fact, breast cancer mortality is 52 percent higher in Germany than in the United States, and 88 percent higher in the United Kingdom. Prostate cancer mortality is 604 percent higher in the U.K. and 457 percent higher in Norway. The mortality rate for colorectal cancer among British men and women is about 40 percent higher.

It's obvious that more people are dying of common cancers like breast cancer, prostate cancer and colorectal in Europe than in America, proving that healthcare in Europe is not only cheaper than healthcare in America, it’s much better and the higher mortality rate proves it!

Even the Canadians enjoy a cheaper healthcare system and higher mortality rate for common cancer than Americans. In Canada, breast cancer mortality is 9 percent higher, prostate cancer is 184 percent higher and colon cancer mortality among men is about 10 percent higher than in the United States.

Testing is another area that European healthcare is well ahead of us by falling way behind us. Compared to the cheaper better European healthcare model, there is too much wasteful expensive testing going on here in the states.

9 of 10 middle-aged American women (89 percent) have had a mammogram, compared to less than three-fourths of Canadians (72 percent).

Nearly all American women (96 percent) have had a pap smear, compared to less than 90 percent of Canadians.

More than half of American men (54 percent) have had a PSA test, compared to less than 1 in 6 Canadians (16 percent).

Nearly one-third of Americans (30 percent) have had a colonoscopy, compared with less than 1 in 20 Canadians (5 percent).

According to the European healthcare model, those tests are not part of a better, cheaper healthcare system and there must be less of them.

Once we have cut down on all the testing, stop finding diseases early, and stop treating them too early, and stop expensive preventative medicine, once things like cancer are allowed to get a good hold before it is discovered and people are seriously ill before they go to the doctor, then healthcare in this country will be cheaper. Once we stop wasting money on older folks who are going to die in a couple few years anyway and once we stop this useless and wasteful and expensive prolonging of life, then healthcare in this country will be cheaper and better. We will finally have achieved the European level of healthcare, instead of a doctor, the government will be in control and more people will just die instead of using up expensive medical resources.

It appears that according to the European healthcare model, the level of better and cheaper is also gauged by the level of personal satisfaction with one's personal medical healthcare. Most Americans are in fact satisfied with their personal medical coverage. Most Europeans are not. Therefore, it stands to reason that, if you're basically satisfied with your healthcare, then the government has to step in and fix it enough until you're unsatisfied with it. Then, and only then, will it be better.

Source of quoted medical statistics is here.

What is America is thinking about?

The New York Post has an article up, it seems that no less than 106 blank, pre-stamped NY birth certificates have gone missing form the NY Dept. of Health. The speculation is that they were likely stolen by an employee and sold to an illegal immigration identification ring, or perhaps even to - gasp - terrorists:

On March 12, an employee discovered that 106 certificates with the agency's stamp on them were missing from the department's offices at 125 Worth St. near City Hall, sources said.

It was the first time in 10 years that blank birth certificates have been stolen from the department.

The NYPD and the city's Department of Investigation are investigating.

"It's like hitting the Lotto for a terrorist," one investigator said.

"Forged documents are one of the primary concerns of Homeland Security. After you get that birth certificate, you can get any document you want. This is extremely serious."

The missing documents were in a box of blank certificates that was stacked on other similar boxes.

The employee noticed they were missing because there was a break in the numbers on the certificates.

The department notified the Department of Investigation and the NYPD. It also alerted other agencies who deal with vital records.

Investigators believe the theft was carried out by someone who has access to the offices, probably an employee.

They are looking to see if credit card information submitted by people who orders birth certificate copies has been compromised.

Investigators suspect the thief might have sold the blank certificates to a ring that provides phony identifies for illegal aliens.

They also theorize the certificates could be used in identity theft -- or the in the most extreme case, they could have been sold to terrorists.

The Post's headline reads "Certifiable Disaster" but I don't understand why, after all, didn't the head of our very own DHS recently state that being an illegal immigrant is not a criminal act? And, since the same head of DHS has downgraded terrorists acts to man made disasters, there can be no terrorists anymore, so what's the fuss? What certifiable disaster? Sheesh. I expect Janet will denounce the NY Post for this headline any minute now, who knows, maybe the chief headline writer for the Post will be fired by the Pentagon.

But, I digress. What I really wanted to talk about was what the commentors to the article were talking about:

See that Janet, you did a good job. Looks like at least some Americans are not as concerned about illegal immigrants and terrorists anymore, or anyways, at least not as much as they are about... well, other things, even if those other things aren't veterans and patriots. In fact, I didn't see right wing extremists mentioned once. Although, along with these comments, I did see the democrats mentioned quite a few times.

You ask yourself whose side he's on.

I don't have to ask. I've always known.

US wants Iran hostage suit tossed out

The Obama administration has asked a federal judge to throw out a lawsuit against Iran filed by Americans held hostage at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran 30 years ago.

The request comes in a $6.6 billion class-action lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Washington. Fifty-two American diplomats and military officials were held captive for more than a year at the end of Jimmy Carter's presidency by a group of Islamist students who supported the Iranian revolution.

The hostages were released on Jan. 20, 1981, just minutes after Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the new president.

In court papers filed Tuesday night without any announcement, the Justice Department argued that the agreement to release the hostages, known as the Algiers Accords, precluded lawsuits against Iran.

The hostages argue that Iran supported their confinement and abuse, with visits from government officials, stays in government prisons and buildings and threats of trial in Iranian courts. The lawsuit says current Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was one of their interrogators.

The lawsuit says the hostages were tortured, beaten sometimes until they lost consciousness and kept in fear of their lives, at times even lined up in front of marksmen locking their guns. It says they were imprisoned without adequate food, clothing or medical care, blindfolded with their hands tied, interrogated for hours at a time and kept in isolation for months at a time.

There is no rational reason for the President of the United States to get involved in this lawsuit, and to take such an action against American citizens to protect Ahmadinijad. It's a damn outrage, and even more than an outrage, make no mistake, it is a betrayal of American citizens by the President of the United States of America.

The media is obviously covering 0bama's tracks instead of covering this story. CNN had a quickie on it, glossed over with no details, and there was this AP blurb in the Las Vegas Sun, but if it was carried by any major news outlet, I couldn't find it and while I was looking, I found that Newsbusters was looking too and they couldn't find the story covered anywhere either. There are no questions being asked, no "journalists" doing any journalism on this.

If the media has its way, the average American will never know of this betrayal of its citizens by the same man who, less than a hundred days ago, took a vow to protect them and this country.

It didn't take long for 0bama to show us what his priorities are, did it?

So, the only real question is, whose side are you on? And once you've answered that, what are you gonna do?

Well, it's interesting to note that the latest Rasmussen poll reflects that despite the mainstream media's best efforts to put a happy face on the nightmare of this administration, "For the first time since Barack Obama was elected president last November, more than half of U.S. voters (53%) say it is at least somewhat likely that the next occupant of the White House will be a Republican. Thirty-one percent (31%) say it is Very Likely." Buyer's remorse from this election is a fact of life here in the good old USA.

So, being active in the mid-term elections is the most important thing you can do for this country, and it's something you can do right now. The seats in your state are what you should be concentrating on right now, it's time to get rid of the bastards that can't be bothered with reading a bill, or standing up for their principles or who have been sitting in their seats so long they've forgotten that we put them there to do our will.

Never mind who will be the next president, that comes later. Mid-terms are first, and if we're going to stop 0bama from destroying this country, the mid-term election is how we're gonna do it.

April 14, 2009

It occurs to me

as I am sure it has occured to you, that in the very likely event that there is an islamist terrorist attack on American soil, the release of this DHS report will allow the government to blame the attack on rightwing extremists.

That said, the report is an outrage and an insult to our intelligence. To link the white supremist neo-nazi movement and the recent shooting sprees perpetuated by criminals and psychos with your average conservative republican is ridiculous.

But even more so, it is reprehensible to denigrate, demean, insult and demonize our returning active military and veterans in the way that this report does. There is not one shred of evidence presented to substantiate such allegations and no truth to the accusations, they are obviously made for political reasons alone, and for making those accusations, Janet Napolitano and everyone connected with that report should immediately and publically apologize for making them.

As David K. Rehbein of the American Legion so wisely points out to Secretary Janet Napolitano:

The report states, without any statistical evidence, “The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.”

The American Legion is well aware and horrified at the pain inflicted during the Oklahoma City bombing, but Timothy McVeigh was only one of more than 42 million veterans who have worn this nation’s uniform during wartime. To continue to use McVeigh as an example of the stereotypical “disgruntled military veteran” is as unfair as using Osama bin Laden as the sole example of Islam.

Your report states that “Rightwing extremists were concerned during the 1990s with the perception that illegal immigrants were taking away American jobs through their willingness to work at significantly lower wages.” Secretary Napolitano, this is more than a perception to those who have lost their job. Would you categorize union members as “Right Wing extremists”?

It would appear that Ms. Napolitano has chosen to ignore the fact that the majority of violence in this country has come from the left, in the name of change, most recently, just last night at UNC, a speech by Tom Tancredo decended in violence and mayhem as a group of angry leftists decided to crash the event. The police broke out the pepper spray and the tasers, although they weren't used, and no one was arrested, despite threats of physical violence and warnings from the leftists to the event attendees that "we will fight, we know where you sleep at night!"

Why do I get the feeling that Janet's next report will feature these violent leftists as right wing extremists as well.

It doesn't appear that facts are going to matter all that much going into the future and so, my fellow right wing extremists, the joke is on us. We are about to be the patsy.

I think I'll move to Texas.

Across the pond

it appears the wonder and awe of hopey changey has worn off, and reality has set in:

Then came the dramatic bit, the authentic West Wing script, with the President wakened in the middle of the night in Prague to be told that Kim Jong-il had just launched a Taepodong-2 missile. America had Aegis destroyers tracking the missile and could have shot it down. But Uncle Sam had a sterner reprisal in store for l'il ole Kim (as Dame Edna might call him): a multi-megaton strike of Obama hot air.

"Rules must be binding," declared Obama, referring to the fact that Kim had just breached UN Resolutions 1695 and 1718. "Violations must be punished." (Sounds ominous.) "Words must mean something." (Why, Barack? They never did before, for you - as a cursory glance at your many speeches will show.)

President Pantywaist is hopping mad and he has a strategy to cut Kim down to size: he is going to slice $1.4bn off America's missile defence programme, presumably on the calculation that Kim would feel it unsporting to hit a sitting duck, so that will spoil his fun.

Watch out, France and Co, there is a new surrender monkey on the block and, over the next four years, he will spectacularly sell out the interests of the West with every kind of liberal-delusionist initiative on nuclear disarmament and sitting down to negotiate with any power freak who wants to buy time to get a good ICBM fix on San Francisco, or wherever. If you thought the world was a tad unsafe with Dubya around, just wait until President Pantywaist gets into his stride.

President Pantywaist. It would be funny if it weren't so damn true.

Don't miss the comments. 45govt... wow!

UPDATE: buried in the comments, was a link to another bit of brit commentary which made a few good points about 0bama's worthless trip, but buried within all that was a few paragraphs about our troops, which needed only a tad of polish to shine like gold...

The United States have never produced a finer generation of Marines, soldiers, airmen and sailors than those deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan today. For the most part, they are volunteers who have freely joined the armed forces of their country at a time of war, knowing full well they could be killed or maimed in the line of duty.

Their patriotism, their selflessness, their sense of honour -- these are all beyond any description I am capable of. Their willingness to risk life and limb in their country's service makes Europe's artful and devious refusal to take a substantive place in the line of battle all the more shameful.

The author's name is Kevin Myers, and he said that well, didn't he?

You can read the rest of what he wrote about 0bama here, if you like.

You wanna know who's ass that is?

That's your President's ass sticking up while he bows down in supplication to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Yeah. That's right. 0bamessiah bowed down, as President of the United States of America, he bowed down before that tinpot dictator of a moslem cesspool.

Take a good hard look at the single most shameful moment in American history.

Meet Chris DeHaven

He's Organizing for America:

Jeepers. It's nice of Chris to say in plain English that Organizing for America is really liberal double speak for organizing an army, but then, most of us knew that anyway, didn't we? I really wish this would have gotten more coverage, that someone would find it newsworthy enough to pin him down hard on what he hopes to do with that army, exactly who it is he hopes to fight.

I'm tempted to do it myself.

Buyer's Remorse

Selected Quotes from around the web:

Boo hoo. I'm finding it hard to feel bad for you guys, especially since you came out so strong for Obamessiah. It looks to me like you guys got just what you voted for. I hope this is enough to put a fright into you, and I hope you learn a little something about what happens when you put the liberals in charge.

But I'm not so sure this warrants all this panic, because I doubt this nutso tax will really happen. At least, not now, not yet. I'm sure Congress is that dumb, but I'm not so sure Obama is that dumb. This is not the time. I could be wrong, but, he is staying neutral, and I think he'll avoid it in the end.

Although I have say, it would serve you right if it does. You deserve the government you voted for, even if we don't deserve the government you voted for.

So, even though it would serve you right, and even if politically, it would sink those damn liberals once and for all, we simply can't let such a thing happen here in America. The democrats must be made to know that the United States Government may not be allowed to use the Tax Code as a weapon against the citizens of the United States. No true American will stand for it, it is an outrage that cannot be tolerated. Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank, they may be too stupid to see that, but Obama, I think he knows.

Still, we must make no mistake about how and why we got into this mess in the first place. We didn't arrive here by accident. U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry put it all together neatly and sweetly when he said: “We got here because the Democratic majority insisted on passing a 1,000-page bill which nobody read and which was not exposed to the light of day. And in the hundreds of provisions in that bill was one that allowed bonuses to be paid.”

That's right, and the provision that gave AIG the ability to hand out those bonuses was part of a closed door deal negotiated by U.S. Senator Chris Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat who is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Senator Dodd has admitted that he played a primary role in negotiating the provisions that allowed the bonus payouts. Dodd made sure no one was looking and he slipped it in.

Funny thing about those closed door negotiations, they were duly reported and objected to by Republicans and other people of conscience and those reports and objections were glossed over and ignored by Congress, the media and the general public.

No objections to the closed door negotiations were raised by the same people who are now up in arms, objecting to the end result and calling for blood.

Just think, there are over a thousand pages of provisions in that bill, provisions negotiated in the same manner and spirit as the bonus payouts, no one knows the extent of what's in the bill, no one. This is just the beginning. As the fruits of these closed door negotiations come to light, as the end result of the double dealing becomes obvious, as mainstream America begins to see where its money is going, we can expect more outrage and more congressional bait and switch of emotions, because that's all this is, a bait and switch of emotions.

You see, you're not supposed to be mad at Chris Dodd, who snuck around behind closed doors and did a deal to make it possible for $165 million of your money to be given away as bonus payouts, and you're not supposed to be mad at the other democrat party elite in congress who took part in the closed door negotiations and you're not supposed to be mad at the rest of the democrat congress who voted for the stimulus bill without bothering to read a single provision. Oh no. They're only the ones responsible but you're not supposed to be mad at them. You're supposed to be mad at the poor schmuck who signed a contract that provided for that bonus to keep him in what can only be described as a dead end job. You're supposed to drive by the poor schmuck's house and intimidate him, you're supposed to want him to commit suicide, not the senators.

In any event, when it comes to the stimulus bill, $165 million is chump change. You want to something to complain about, how do you feel about paying $150 million to insure honeybee farmers? When you get mad about that, remember to be mad at the damm honeybee farmers and not the government that gave them your money. How dare those honeybee farmers take your money for insurance? Let them buy their own insurance. Who pays for your insurance? They have no right to that money, and they should give that money back, all of it. How about a bus tour of honeybee farms?

What's $165 million in bonuses compared to $650 million for TV coupons? When you get mad about that, remember to be mad at Oprah, and Geraldo, and the executives at ABC, NBC, and CBS, after all, it's their shows on the TV that people are going to be watching, they make money when people watch, they get the benefit, not you! They're already rich, why don't they pay for the damn TV coupons? Do a bus tour, drive by their homes, see how they live, and intimidate them into paying.

How about $600 million for the federal government to drive new cars? When you get mad about that, remember to be mad at the people who are driving those cars, not the government that bought them. Go to your federal buildings, find those new cars and the people who drive them. Follow those people home, why are they driving the cars home anyway? That's not government business, that's an abuse of taxpayer money. Harass them into giving those cars back, after all, how old is your car? Who is buying you a new car?

How about $335 million to prevent sexually transmitted diseases? When you get mad about that, remember to be mad at the people who have sex with a different person every nite without bothering to use a condom, and don't get mad at the government who rewarded their sexual misbehavior with $335 million of your tax dollars. Ask yourself, is that getting you a job? Hell no! We should get that money back too, I don't know how, but I do know they can keep their legs closed for free. We'll have to wait for congress to tell us who to chase down on that one, or maybe those bastards at ACORN can help, hell, they probably got some of that money themselves, I bet they did, they're just the type.

Oh, there's also that $54 billion that will go to federal programs that the Office of Management and Budget or the Government Accountability Office has already criticized as "ineffective" or unable to pass basic financial audits. How do you feel about that? Ineffective or unable to pass basic financial audits and they're getting $54 billion! Now, who do suppose Congress will blame for that screw-up? and how do we go about getting that money back? Any suggestions?

Using the Congressional Punishment Method, these are just some of ways you can fight being taken advantage of by evil people who are using the recession and government programs to enrich themselves. Fear and intimidation, we saw it work with AIG, some of those guys returned the bonus when they had every right in the world to keep that money.

It's a good thing so many of us are unemployed, because if Congress is going to use American citizens as a mob to intimidate stimulus recipients into returning money, it looks like we have our work cut out for us. But don't be discouraged.

Hopey changey.

Is this a great country or what? Makes you proud to be an American, don't it?

We saw... They saw

I didn't bother to watch the TV clips of Obamessiah’s special message to Iran on the occasion of Nowruz, which I'm told is a holiday that celebrates the first day of spring and the New Year in many countries. I didn't watch because I don't think it's possible for me to care less and besides, I don't watch TV. However, I did happen to catch an interesting post about it over at Mark Finkelstein's blog, not only did he watch it, Mark did a little research on it. Turns out, the White House released more than one video of Obama's speech.

If you're an American and you watched it here in America, you would have seen Obamessiah looking like this:

If you're an Iranian, and you watched it over there in Iran, you would have seen Obamessiah looking like this:

Well. How do you like that? The Obamessiah edited the video to make the American Flag completely disappear from the background before sending his message to the mullahs and Amadinejad, and not only that, but Obamessiah cropped it so close, so tight that the subtitles manage to cover up the American Flag lapel pin through pretty much all of the clip as well.

Seems like the Obamessiah went to an awful lot of trouble to wipe that video clean of all American symbolism to avoid offending his new friends.

What a shameful, cowardly and despicable thing for the President of the United States of America to do.

UPDATE: Just to be clear, for those of you who have asked "is it possible that Iran had the flag voided before transmitting the message rather than Obama's team doing it?" I guess you didn't follow the link back to Mark Finkelstein's site. I put the link there because I meant for you to go to his site and read his post.

If you had, you would have noted that Mark lifted the screenshots from the White House website. The answer to your question would be no. The removal of the flag from the video was done by the White House, not by anyone else, not by the Iranians, not by evil republicans, not by Karl Rove. It was done by the White House and presumably under orders from the Obamessiah himself.

And... to those of you who have written to me about the file format differences, well. It appears from the final result of the Iranian version that what was needed was for the video to be wider and higher than the American version. So, what the White House did was to first render the video smaller by cropping out the flag and the other side of the video to keep it balanced and then blowing it up a bit and was left having to add a border to make it big enough to suit the size format needed for the final product.

Like I said, they went to an awful lot of trouble to remove the flag from the video.

Introducting the Terrorist Visa

Attorney General Eric Holder, chosen by President Barack Obama to lead the administration's efforts to close the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, has begun his review of what to with prisoners hanging around and presumably suffering ill effects and mega resentments from their days of torture under the evil Bush regime.

Word is that "the administration," and that would be um,the Obama Administration, seeks to transfer some detainees to Europe or other countries while freeing others. Problem is, Europe said no. We don't want 'em, you take them. Other countries will take them, and kill them, but that offends the liberal point of view when it comes to terrorists. So the transfer is out and we're left with freeing others option and trying to figure out what they're gonna do with the non-transfer ones.

Holder told reporters at the Justice Department that the administration's review, made on a case-by-case basis, would determine whether the prisoners need to be put on trial or whether they can be released.

So we have some that will be freed, with essentially means released. Others will be put on trial or released. They can't be transferred, no one wants them. So basically, it's trial or released. So we're left with, released where? If they can't be transferred to other countries, then it stands to reason that they can't be released there either. Our options are shinking.

"For those who are in that second category, who can be released, there are a variety of options that we have. Among them is the possibility that we could release them into this country," he said.

Holder said it was possible the 17 Chinese Muslims who have been held for years at Guantanamo, and two or three others prisoners, could be freed in the United States

Yeah. You knew that was coming, didn't you. Yes. Here. Right here. Holder wants to set those terrorist free, into the good old USofA. Why? Because no other country is stupid enough to take them and if they're sent to their home country, they'll be "persecuted" and we can't have that, can we?

Amazing. Even if we're only talking about these chinese nationals, they were in al qaeda training camps learning what they need to know so they could go home to China and attack a few targets over there. Rather then send them back to China to be dealt with as they should be, the Obama Administration will set them loose on U.S. soil so they can attack a few targets here or pass their schooling along to others.

The rest of the terrorists in Gitmo, well, same problems, so, the Obama Administration is about create the Terrorist Visa, Girmo is America's new Ellis Island, gateway to the destruction of America.

Holder was wrong. We are not a nation of cowards, but a full 52% of us are idiots. And when the attacks come, when Americans start going boom in the streets and malls of America, I hate to think of how many of us who knew better will be hurt because of the stupidity of those within that 52%.

1933 looms ever closer

During the Great Depression, unemployment was at 25%, and the not so funny thing about that statistic, it was a non-farm job statistic. It didn't include farm workers.

Just the thought of double-digit unemployment is enough to strike panic through the heart and soul of America, and 8.1% unemployment reported last week was enough to send us reeling.

Last month, hundreds slept on the streets of Miami hoping to keep their place in line for a open firefighter's position, and at last week's local community college job fair, they turned away over a thousand hopeful participants.

8.1% national unemployment? Hmph. Here in Florida, they say it's 8.8%, Metro Orlando is reporting 9%, Brevard County is reporting over 9%, in California, they say it's over 10%. and... according to Shadowstats... if we used the same methodology to track unemployment today that we used in 1933... the U.S. unemployment rate would at 19%. Now, take it easy, I know all the controversy that a mere mention of Shadowstats will generate, but before you go off the deep end, there are other things to consider before you run with the 8.1% national average the government claims. Remember, trust... but verify.

So... when it comes to verification of national unemployment numbers, where else do you go but to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, yes? Well, it turns out that BLS releases unemployment statistics under six separate numbered categories every month, U-1 through U-6. U-3 is the Official Unemployment Rate, the 8.1% number the newspapers gave us for February, 2009, which is up from 7.6% in January, and which was up from 7.2 in December, 2008.

But U-3 on it's own ain't much. You see, it doesn't reflect the total unemployed in this country.

U-3 includes only a percentage of the unemployed and it's not immediately clear what that percentage includes. What is clear is that it specifically excludes several categories of unemployed Americans, including those defined as "marginally attached workers" who are persons who currently are neither working nor looking for work but indicate that they want and are available for a job and have looked for work sometime in the recent past, the recent past being defined as 4 weeks. It also specifically excludes "discouraged workers" which are a subset of the marginally attached, those who have given a job-market related reason for not looking currently for a job.

So. What's the real unemployment rate in the United States, the total unemployed? For that, you gotta go to U-6, and it's clear. It's very clear.

If you add everyone in, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the real unemployment rate in this country is currently at 14.8%.

Not quite the 19% that ShadowStat is claiming, but it's far cry from 8.1% claim the government is telling you about and well into the double-digit unemployment we are all so afraid of.

Sometimes a rumor is just a rumor

You know that rumor that's going around, the one I talked about yesterday?

The rumor that Israel's Minister of Defense said during his address at the Herzliya Conference that Obama was going to lift the Bush sanctions on Iran:

The United States has abandoned its policy of sanctioning companies that aid Iran's nuclear and missile program, they said.

The officials said the new Obama administration of has decided to end sanctions against Iranian government agencies or companies that aid Teheran's missile and nuclear program. The officials said Israel has been informed of the new U.S. policy.

"We were told that sanctions do not help the new U.S. policy of dialogue with Iran," an official said.

Barak confirmed the new U.S. policy. In an address to the Herzliya Conference on Feb. 3, Barak said Washington did not say whether it would resume sanctions against Iran.

The rumor that was published in that pay per view article at Geostrategy-Direct, an open source intelligence (OSINT) newsletter that is supposed to have a good track record?

Well, I had doubts, big time and it bugged me all day. So, I did a bit of investigation and now, I'm about ready to call bullshit on this one.

You see, I can tell you right now that Geostrategy-Direct most certainly did not get that information from Ehud Barak's address at the 2009 Herzliya Conference and I can tell you that with certainty because I just listened to Barak's entire presentation and Barak most certainly did not say anything about Obama lifting sanctions against Iran.

Absolutely, positively not. And if you have any doubts, you can listen to it yourself.

Now, in all fairness, I haven't seen the Geostrategy-Direct article, only the claims that say the article is based on Ehud Barak's address at the Herziya Conference. Now that we know Ehud Barak did not speak those words during his presentation at the Conference, the question is, if he really did say those words, when did he say them and why is there no confirmation of this anywhere by anyone.

After listening to what Ehud Barak did say about Obama in his presentation, I don't think he said what Geostrategy-Direct claims he said. If you listen to the presentation, you'll see what I mean.

Here's a funny thing... after thinking about it all day, I wouldn't have been surprised to find that it was true and now I almost expect that Obama will lift those sanctions, because that's the kind of man he is. But I don't think Ehud Barak expects it for the same reason, because that's the kind of man he is.

UPDATE:

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to my visitors from the NY Times:

Feel free to look around. Who knows... ya might learn something...

Today's Really Scary Rumor

Found at Gateway Pundit via Israel Matzav, the word comes via Tel Aviv where Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak reports that United States President Barack Hussein Obama has decided to lift all sanctions against Iran. Supposedly, it's based on an address given by outgoing Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak at the Herzliya conference last week:

The United States has abandoned its policy of sanctioning companies that aid Iran's nuclear and missile program, they said.

The officials said the new Obama administration of has decided to end sanctions against Iranian government agencies or companies that aid Teheran's missile and nuclear program. The officials said Israel has been informed of the new U.S. policy.

"We were told that sanctions do not help the new U.S. policy of dialogue with Iran," an official said.

[Israeli Defense Minister Ehud] Barak confirmed the new U.S. policy. In an address to the Herzliya Conference on Feb. 3, Barak said Washington did not say whether it would resume sanctions against Iran.

"We must arrive at a strategic understanding with the United States over Iran's military nuclear program and ensure that even if at this time they opt for the diplomatic option, it will only last a short time before harsh and necessary sanctions are imposed," Barak said.

Obama decided to end sanctions against Iran after determining that the U.S. measures had failed to block Teheran's missile or nuclear weapons program, officials said. Under the administration of former President George Bush, the United States accelerated sanctions on Iran in 2008.

In his address, the Israeli defense minister indicated that Obama had forged an entirely new approach toward Iran. He said the Israeli government has sought a briefing from the new U.S. administration.

A U.S. defense source said the White House would no longer enforce sanctions imposed by the Bush administration. The source said the decision has already been relayed to Iran.

"The administration has abandoned sanctions entirely," the U.S. source said. "It is a completely new ballgame."

I refuse to believe this. It cannot be true.

G-d help us if it is.

A rude awakening

I am so sorry for this poor woman.

I know how horrible I feel watching this administration destroy this Country with it's stupidity, even as I knew it was coming. At least I have the comfort of knowing, even as it happens, that I tried to keep it from happening. I can only imagine how horrible it must be for her to watch it happen, knowing she bears the responsibility for it.

Where was she during the run up to the election? Obama made no secret of his intention to talk to terrorists, to appease our enemies, to close GITMO and bring those prisoners to our shores. These are the things he promised, these are the changes he promised and presumably, the changes she voted for. Maybe she thought he meant all the other terrorists and just not the terrorist who happened to have killed her son. I know that sounds harsh, but really, what was she thinking when she voted for him?

I wonder at all those people who fell for his rhetoric. What were they thinking then, what are they thinking now? I know whenever I think of Barack Hussein Obama, I will think of Shanice Denise Osbourne, who was stuffed in a plastic bag and thrown in the trash, where she died alone and struggling for breath in the dark, because people like Obama don't believe she had a right to live. That is the reality of the man who is now the president of the United States of America.

That's okay. In the end, G-d will sort it out.

Oh... the stimulation

of stimulus:

It's $900 Billion now and counting...

Speaking at the Energy Department, Obama made a fresh plea for the stimulus plan that the Senate is debating. He cited the latest bad economic news of jobless claims as another reason for quick action.

He said: "The time for talk is over, the time for action is now."

Republicans and some Democrats have expressed reservations about the growing price tag of the package—more than $900 billion. Senate Democratic leaders hope to have a bill completed by Friday.

Earlier today, Obama warned that failure to pass an economic recovery package could plunge the nation into an even longer, perhaps irreversible recession, as senators searched for compromises to whittle down the enormous bill.

Senate moderates gathered behind closed doors in an effort to find at least $50 billion in spending reductions that might make the $900 billion-plus package more palatable to centrists. Democratic leaders hoped to pass the legislation by Friday at the latest.

Obama painted a bleak picture if lawmakers do nothing.

In an op-ed piece in The Washington Post, the president argued that each day without his stimulus package, Americans lose more jobs, savings and homes. His message came as congressional leaders struggle to control the huge stimulus bill that's been growing larger by the day in the Senate. The addition of a new tax break for homebuyers Wednesday evening sent the price tag well past $900 billion.

"This recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse," Obama wrote in the newspaper piece.

He rejected the argument that more tax cuts are needed in the plan and that piecemeal measures would be sufficient. His latest plea came on the same day the economy dealt with another dose of bad news: A big jump in jobless claims and another round of weak retail sales.

Yeah, no tax cuts for the people, tax cuts are not stimulating, $70 million for super computers to research climate change is stimulating, $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts is stimulating, $335 million to prevent sexually transmitted diseases is stimulating, $650 million for TV coupons is stimulating, and $150 million to insure honeybee farmers is stimulating. Oh yes, you have to admit, that's some stimulating stimulus, along with...

... House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats in Congress left town for their annual retreat at Kingsmill Resort and Spa in nearby Williamsburg, Va., which offers "unforgettable golf, luxurious accommodations... and an abundance of recreational opportunities."

The three-day retreat is part of an annual tradition enjoyed by both parties in Congress -- an opportunity to bring families, take off their jackets and relax as they plan their agenda for the coming year.

oooo! "unforgettable golf, luxurious accommodations... and an abundance of recreational opportunities." Now that's stimulating! Yup, Williamsburg is certainly stimulated this week with taxpayer money, and we're footing the bill, if not for the accomodations (at least they pay for something themselves - good thing they got that raise in pay, huh?), we the people pay for the rest of that stimulation, including the transportation, food, room service, beefed up security, photographers, telephone and internet, yadda yadda. and this year, we get to pay for Obamessiah flying in on AF One.

No matter what side of the politcal spectrum you fall on, I'll bet most of you have thought of spending a few days in a place like the Kingsmill Resort but have never quite made it there. How stimulating it must be for the average American to know that even if they can't stay in such luxurious accomodations and their families can't enjoy the abundance of recrational opportunities available there, well, even in this time of recession, even while we're on the brink of disaster, even as we are rushing toward catastrophe, thanks to the efforts of congress, even if the average American can't stay there, they can pay for someone else to stay there. Is this a great country or what? Why not send a thank you note to your congress critter for allowing you that opportunity? Don't leave out your republican congress critter, they had their luxurious annual retreat on your tax dollar a few weeks ago.

Oh, and if you're thinking maybe this compares to AIG and their happy happy joy joy bailout parties, well, you can stop that right now. What AIG did was bad but they only did it once, or was it twice, and this, well, this is an annual thing but hey, don't think about that part, no, this is hope and change coming to America right before your very eyes, with extra bonus stimulating stimulus, surely you can see that and if you can't see that, well, then you're probably not a honey bee farmer.

And now.... the news

In case you're wondering what's happening out there in the world tonight, here it is, according to CNN:

Wow! Benjamin Button, a prison fight in Florida, an arson investigation, Obama cashing in on some political capital, and the market bracing for some "awful news." Oh, and an exclusive tribute to Obama, something about 'Lipstick Jungle' thefts, they got an important article about what tots want Obama to accomplish, some crap about Michelle Obama and the great fashion debate, more crap about the Year of the Ox and an anti-Bush article titled "No love for Bush," along with an oh-so-important blurb about why women should feel good naked. That's the news according to CNN tonight.

So. If you want to know what's happening, forget about CNN. There's important stuff going on out there and if you want to know about it, you have to look elsewhere.

A little change in your Nativity?

The Santa Llucia Christmas market in Barcelona sells everything you could need for your nativity scene. Little statues of Joseph and Mary? Check. A little baby Jesus? Check. Donkeys, sheep and cows? Check. Defecating world leaders? You betcha!

The 'caganer' (literally 'defecator') is a feature of Catalan nativity scenes. The figure is usually tucked away in a corner of the model, far away from the manger itself, for children to find. The caganer represents fertility and equality.

The figure was traditionally a representation of a Catalan peasant wearing a red stocking hat but oh my, how times have changed...

It appears that's only one with a slogan. Makes you proud, don't it?
