Honoring Islam
Four years after United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a reclaimed strip mine near Shanksville, Somerset County, on Sept. 11, 2001, the design that will serve as the national memorial has been unveiled in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hall of Flags.
Called the "Crescent of Embrace," the Memorial is designed to honor the Religion of Islam and features one of its primary symbols, the red crescent moon.

The red crescent moon is the symbol of The Red Crescent Society, the arm of the International Federation of The Red Cross dedicated to serving Islamic countries and the crescent moon with a star is the internationally-recognized symbol of the faith of Islam. It is featured prominently in some variation on the flags of most Islamic states.
The memorial honors the Islamic murderers rather than the those murdered in the name of Islam.
This atrocity was commissioned by the National Park Service Memorial Project under the direction of Ms Joanne Hanley.

I'm not going to sweat this one. The memorial has the support of the families of the Americans who died on flight 93.
The crescent moon is not just an Islamic symbol. Off the top of my head, the crescent moon is also the corporate logo of Proctor & Gamble and appears on the flag of South Carolina. If nothing else, I'll be damned if I surrender the crescent moon, something I like, to be solely representative of Islam.
