At last, the truth!
Frank Lindh cannot be blamed for the emotions behind his need to reinvent history or doing what he can to get his son out of jail. But he is lying. His son did not “love America”, he fought for bin Laden against us, his son is not “honest”, he lied to his parents and others. His son is not a “decent” young man; he trained to be a murderer. His son went to kill strangers in a stranger land. A spiritual quest? What part of grenades and AK 47’s can be described as spiritual?
What part of patriotism is eating bin Laden’s food, listening to Usama’s droning hate-filled speeches against America and sitting obediently within strangling distance of our greatest single enemy? To think that the American public is that stupid is an insult. John Walker Lindh was an Arab speaking member of bin Laden’s terror legions. He called it Al Ansar (the correct term) we call them al Qaeda. He was never a member of the Taliban. Why because Lindh only spoke Arabic and English he would have been useless in a combat situation among Pashto or Dari speaking troops. I have seen Taliban ID cards and spent time with bin Laden’s “055 Brigade, “al Ansar” members and al qaeda.
Lindh was exactly the person we were trying to kill in Afghanistan and now around the world. An educated, idealistic young Muslim who chose murder of innocent people as his path in life. He is no different that Mohamed Atta, Zarqawi or thousands of other terrorists that come from nice middle class families.

As if hurricanes, roaches, sea lice and insurance bills weren't bad enough, Floridians can add a new menace to their list of worries.
What the Africanized bees lack in size, they make up with a severe lack of anger management. All honeybees defend their hives, but the Africanized bees erupt against disturbances that European bees might shrug off -- a noisy leaf-blower or nosy dog, for example. And they attack in much greater numbers.
"People end up with 300, 400, a thousand stings," said Bob van der Herchen, who runs a bee removal service in Englewood, south of Sarasota.

Guard the Borders Blogburst
This first month of 2006 has seen a spate of unprecedented media attention to on-going border breaches such as drug smuggling tunnels and Mexican Army incursions. Deceitful Mexican government officials have disavowed any knowledge of such breaches, instead presenting laughable theories of "American soldiers disguised as Mexicans". Even our own Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, has covered for the Mexicans by dismissing border incursion as mere navigational "mistakes". (He's failed to comment on the gunfire from said "lost" Mexican soldiers.)
No one is fooled. Our border agents continue to risk their lives confronting heavily armed Mexican soldiers and smuggling gangs, while our own American citizens living on the border continue to petition our government for security - to no avail. Two American states, Arizona and New Mexico, have declared a state of emergency in their states, as the financial and societal obligation of caring for illegal immigrants crushes their economy and resources.
In four states, the two above plus Texas and California, the new majority is the Hispanic, though mostly illegal. Such a disparity between law-abiding, tax-paying American citizens has caused the unconscionable situation to develop that the minority now pays for the services and support of the majority.
In the meantime, trillions of American dollars flow out of our economy and into Mexico's in the form of tax-free cash remittances from illegal labor. These cash disbursements are the largest form of income for the country of Mexico:
Remittances "are our biggest source of foreign income, bigger than oil, tourism or foreign investment," Fox told reporters after a meeting with Mexican-American businessmen."The 20 million Mexicans in the United States generate a gross product that is slightly higher than the $600 billion generated by Mexicans in Mexico," Fox said, adding that his country has the ninth-largest economy in the world.
"If we could add up the two products, Mexico would be the third or fourth economy in the world," he said.
Three years later, the number of illegal Mexicans in America is higher than ever, their impact on U.S. social services even more draining, and the free income is flowing ever-faster into Mexico's coffers. Think of it, their largest source of income costs them nothing in terms of infrastructure, research and development, education, and social services! They export their poorest, neediest citizens (at no cost to themselves) and sit back to wait for the free income to flow. No wonder they feel the need to ease their citizens' illegal entry into America by providing handbooks and maps - it has a direct impact on their economy! What other income-producing activity could they undergo that would require no construction, no training, no law enforcement, and no responsibilities whatsoever to their citizens? Why would they want to curb a free and very lucrative income? The illegality of it bears no consequences or costs, so the Mexican government has no incentive to fix a system that works wonders for them!
I do not know how much longer we can afford to single-handedly support an entire nation through second-hand disbursements. The trillions of American dollars that boost Mexico's economy are trillions of dollars not strengthening our own. Possibly even more important, the cultural impact of the burgeoning class of illegals is superseding American traditions and values and having a severe impact on our elections and government.
Our country was founded upon the premise "of the People, by the People, for the People" - and those People are constitutionally meant to be AMERICANS. Yet, foreign interest lobbies are having an ever-increasing detrimental effect on our local, state, and federal government as non-citizens are accorded most of the rights and privileges of American citizenship and garner actual governmental representation. This corruption of the intent of our Constitution has been allowed through the steady erosion of our national sovereignty.
Today, there are an estimated 23 million Mexicans working and living in America, according to Vicente Fox, who claims he is the leader of 123 million citizens: 100 million in Mexico and 23 million in America. Is it any wonder that he and like-minded special interest lobbies feel the RIGHT to demand more and more from our acquiescent government? Americans watch incredulously as they get most of what they demand, at our expense. To our shame, our nation's government has abdicated our rule of law concerning national sovereignty and national security.
We now have a large foreign presence within our borders that is NOT American, has no intention of ever becoming American, has no regard for American law, nor loyalty to America. This is akin to hosting a nation within a nation - and worse, one that is loyal to a foreign power.
Last week, in a related article, we summarized our current scenario as such:
Let’s recap: we’ve got your basic violent criminals (mafia, drug smugglers, rapists, killers, etc) crossing UNDER our border with impunity…we’ve got heavily armed Mexican military blatantly crossing OVER our border to protect such criminals…firing on American Border Patrol agents to collect $200,000 bounties…plus, we’ve got ongoing sightings of enemy soldiers from other nations, possibly China or North Korea, crossing our border…also firing at our Border Patrol agents…we’ve got Muslim terrorists infiltrating easily and regularly from Mexico…we’ve got Muslim terrorists that have already successfully smuggled in nukes from Mexico…we've got American citizens living armed in a border zone that has become lawless...though we are at war, our borders are undefended and breached on a regular basis... our sovereignty as a nation is defiled…and WE’VE GOT AN AMERICAN GOVERNMENT THAT KNOWS ALL OF THE ABOVE AND HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!
Our government today has monumentally failed in its most foundational duties to our lawful citizenry, as guaranteed by our Constitution. There is no doubt in my mind that our conflicted and disloyal elected "leaders" politicians desperately need the following reminder, from President Theodore Roosevelt:
"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all.We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile. Rav Kaduri, zatza'l
Rav Yitzchak Kaduri zatza"l (of saintly and blessed memory) - the world's beloved 108-year-old sage and Kabbalist master - returned his soul to the Creator earlier today after Shabbos terminated, following a 2-week bout with pneumonia.
Words cannot describe the tremendous loss that Rav Kaduri's passing causes for the Jewish people. Rav Kaduri devoted his entire life to Hashem, the Torah, and the Jewish people. Thousands benefitted from his blessings and guidance.
May Hashem in His everloving mercy end our long and arduous exile, and send a complete redemption to the Jewish people. May the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim be comforted, and may our agony - especially at the loss of our holy tzaddikim - turn into the joy of Geula and Moshiach, speedily in our days, amen.

Students of the righteous Rabbi say that the blessing of the Ben Ish Chai (considered the leading rabbi of Sephardic Jewry, d. 1904) and that of the Lubavitcher Rebbe - both of whom blessed him that he might live to see the Final Redeemer - came true. The Rabbi's closest followers say that Rabbi Kaduri told them he met the Messiah on Cheshvan 9, 5764 (Nov. 4, 2003). He reportedly said that the Messiah is not promoting himself, and that a study of his [Rabbi Kaduri's] words in recent months would provide hints of his identity.
"He is not saying, 'I am the Mashiach, give me the leadership.' Rather the nation is pushing him to lead them, after they find [in my words] signs showing that he has the status of Mashiach." So said Rabbi Kaduri to one of his close relatives.

Meet Um Nidal:
Arab mother Um Nidal, is also known as Mariam Farahat, and she became famous when she was filmed bidding her 17-year-old son Mohammed farewell to die through a terrorist attack. She ordered him "not to return except as a shahid [martyr for Allah]." Ordering one son to die was not enough, Um sent three of her sons to die and murder others in the process.
When a mother orders three of her children to kill themselves and to kill innocent civilians with them, what better candidate could you have to help run the new Palestinian government?
Yesterday, Mariam Farahat was a star in the Arab world, because her son murdered 5 high school students.
Today, Mariam Farahat, was elected to the Palestinian parliament.

One Tin Moonbat...
Billy Jack’s Crusade to End the War in Iraq
and Restore America to its Moral Purpose
Yes, Billy Jack is back, er, I mean Tom Laughlin is back and together with his sidekick Jean and lots and lots of your money, Billy Jack is going to save the world! Yup.
How can he do that, you ask? Well, in case you didn't know, Billy Jack is imminently qualified to save America and the rest of the World based upon his bad acting in a low-budget cult movie from 35 years ago. Yes, because that's how Hollywood works. It's true! Just ask Barbra Streisand and Mike Farrel.
So. Bad acting aside, what can we expect from Billy Jack this time around? Well, it seems Billy Jack has got a Plan. That's right, a Plan.
What is this Plan you ask?
Well, according to the "Official Billy Jack Website" Billy Jack has a plan to save the world, starting with Iraq:
Billy's Plan is... "a realistic, immediately doable Exit Plan - “Give back the Oil – Bring home the Troops” Plan - that will immediately end the insane daily flow of the blood of American heroes and innocent Iraqi civilian women and children, bring real stability and peace to Iraq, and bring our troops home immediately… not next year, but by Labor Day."
Wow, Immediately by Labor day? Yay! We're saved!
That's right kiddies, Billy Jack has a "New, Foolproof Strategy for Ending the Mess in Iraq" which is premised upon the “demon/Satan” Americans" (that would be us) getting out of Iraq and forcing "a coalition from Russia, China, France etc." to take over the rebuilding of Iraq and Afghanistan. Iraq of course, will pay them for the rebuilding effort with oil! That's right! Forget about Oil for Food and bring on Oil for Reconstruction! That Billy Jack is a genius!
Now how does this Plan come about? Well, there are steps to be taken:
First Step: The first step involves checkbooks, your checkbooks, as Billy Jack and Jean need $500,000 of your money to
... implement "The National Ad Campaign" presenting a series of 6 full-page ads, each one presenting a different overwhelming reason no one can refute that will immediately end the bloodbath in Iraq, and by replacing our troops with non-hated coalition forces, bring all Americans home by Labor Day.
Oh and... "Donations are not tax deductible. There is not [sic] limit to the amount you can donate, and no donation is too small."
Billy Jack and Jean even have catchy slogans for us: “Give back the oil – Bring home the Troops” and “No more orphans for Halliburton Oil.” Both are original ideas that are sure to catch on!
Billy Jack is also armed with a poll of 341 Americans that "proves that once Americans learn of this “Give back the oil – Bring home the troops” Exit Plan, 92% of them want this Exit Plan enacted now."
Yes, you raed that correctly, that would be now, as in right now! Wow! Yes, "this survey proves that 92% of 341 Americans were passionate about demanding Bush enact this plan immediately, and will aggressively join in any protest marches, petitions or vigils to make it happen."
Thank G-d for polls, now we know that Billy Jack's plan willl work, of course it will! 312 Americans say so! Okay. Now, one to the next step...
Second Step: A 10 Million Person Rally and Vigil. That's rigjht. a Rally and a Vigil. Now there's a unique concept...
Because these ads have made mainstream America aware there is a way to end the war in Iraq immediately - stage a 10 Million Person National Vigil & Protest Rally in Washington DC, and a hundred similar protest marches and vigils in 100 cities and towns all across America to pressure Congress to force Bush and Cheney to give up their Iraq oil colony, enact an Exit Plan stopping the flow of American blood and bringing our troops home.

Guard the Borders Blogburst
Last week, those of us who keep an eye on border issues noticed that several mainstream media sources had featured articles about the regular Mexican military incursions over our borders and into our country. This is nothing new, as the Border Patrol has documented hundreds of such illegal incursions by an armed Mexican military over the past decade, and our government has done nothing to curb these incursions. In fact, it seems our government has looked the other way. While I'm relieved that this information is getting out into the mainstream, I have little confidence that our governement will actually do its job and secure our borders.
Some confrontations between the Mexican military troops and our own Border Patrol agents have become violent as Mexican soldiers have fired their weapons at the Border Patrol. It's a mystery why our government refuses to acknowledge these hostile invasions. They surely know about it, and the Mexican Embassy in Washington D.C. has gone so far as to publicly deny that the Mexican soldiers are hostile, but rather there to "patrol for illegal border jumpers". Contrary to that public statement, however, most of the Mexican military troops on the border are moonlighting as security escorts for drug smuggling gangs the coyotes who are running large groups of illegals across the border.
T.J. Bonner, a 27-year Border Patrol veteran who heads the National Border Patrol Council [said], "Intrusions by the Mexican military to protect drug loads happen all the time and represent a significant threat to the agents. "Why else would they be in the area, firing at federal agents in the United States? There is no other explanation," said Mr. Bonner, whose organization represents all 10,000 of the nonsupervisory Border Patrol agents.He also challenged reports that Mexican military units had crossed mistakenly into the United States, saying, "Every country's military has a [global positioning system] nowadays, including the Mexicans. "If the border is so poorly marked, why don't the thousands of Border Patrol agents working 24/7 along it ever seem to get lost, and none of us have been issued a GPS," he said.

Attacks on Border Patrol agents in the past few years have been attributed to current or former Mexican military personnel. U.S. law-enforcement officials have long thought that current and former Mexican soldiers are being paid to protect drug shipments bound for the United States.Several agents said the attacks have escalated in the past two years as U.S. security efforts on the border have increased -- including the July shooting of two agents in an ambush near Nogales, Ariz., by assailants in black commando-type clothing, who fired more than 50 rounds. Authorities said the gunmen used military-style cover-and-concealment tactics to escape back into Mexico. No one has been arrested.
Without any federal commitment to secure our borders, the Minutemen, a volunteer citizen's group, has performed an invaluable civic service in patrolling our borders to document and verify the location of illegal border crossers. They, too, have encountered Mexican soldiers on the WRONG side of the border. The video clip below comes directly from the Arizona Minutemen who told the Mexican soldiers, when confronted, they were there as "media" to document the border situation. It is incredibly important to note that there is no reason why American citizens should EVER be required to justify their lawful activities on American soil to a FOREIGN military presence. That is anathema to our rights as American citizens!
(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) January 20, 2006 – The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps ("MCDC") announced the release today of video footage of an incursion by a unit of the Mexican army across the U.S. border in Arizona.Chris Simcox and a group of Civil Defense Corps volunteers encountered a squad of approximately eight armed Mexican soldiers about 500 yards inside American territory. The Mexican soldiers started running back through the brush to Mexico when they realized they had been spotted.
The video shows a uniformed Mexican soldier climbing through a barbed wire fence on American soil to return to the Mexican side of the border as he races to catch up with the other Mexican soldiers who had also climbed back through the fence as they retreated back into their country.
A group of armed Mexican soldiers then returned to the barbed wire fence (on American soil) and confronted Simcox and the volunteers. A discussion in Spanish ensued, with the agitated soldier 'in charge' saying the Americans had no business being there.
Simcox and the volunteers did not budge. The Mexican soldiers left and drove off. Judging from earlier activity observed at the ranch that morning, Simcox is of the belief that a trafficking operation had been disrupted by the volunteers.
The footage, filmed in 2004, was sent to then Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge. His office did not respond. The video has remained in the Minuteman video archive and is being released in response to recent news reports that over 200 cross-border incursions by the Mexican army have been documented since 1996.

Karimov - No longer a contender
Moonbat David Wallechinsky's annual Ten Worst Dictators has been released. A virtual Who's Who of the United Nations, U.S. President George W. Bush did not make the list.
The top three has not changed, Sudan's genocidal Omar Al-Bashir retained his number one spot, followed by Kim Jong-il of North Korea and Than Shwe of Burma is still holding at number 3. Zimbabwe's Mugabe, whose government has killed or tortured and displaced nearly 100,000, made the jiump from number 9 to number 4. His mother must be proud.
Last year, I was surprised to find that Uzbekistan's Islam Karimov didn't make the list, and this year, he jumped to number 5! I guess boiling people alive does count for something after all, or maybe he made it just because he's rumored to be Bush buddy. Gotta keep the fires hot under El Presidente!
Speaking of El Presidente, its interesting to note that the Liberal's darling dictator, Fidel Casto, is conspicuously absent from the top ten, as he was last year. Castro did make it as a contender this year, as he did last year, however, he dropped down two spots to number 15. That's practically bottom of the barrel for old Fidel.
Muammar al-Qaddafi got bumped from the top ten but there is no explanation for his demotion, other then that he "made his peace with the outside world by renouncing his quest for weapons of mass destruction and opening his oil fields to foreign companies." Perhaps the fact that criticizing Qaddafi is considered a crime punishable by death had something to do with it.
Number 6 from last year, bumped down to number 10 on the list is Equatorial Guinea's Teodoro Obiang Nguema, who has declared: “There is no poverty in Guinea.” Rather, “The people are used to living in a different way” while the bulk of the country's oil income goes directly into his U.S. bank. His people survive on about $1 a day. Last year, state radio announced that Obiang “is in permanent contact with the Almighty” and “can decide to kill without anyone calling him to account and without going to Hell.”

Gonna be a tough day
My MuShu is suffering from secondary pneumonia and he is having surgery today to try to clear his lungs. I'm terrified. I really love my little dog.
My Favorite Moosh Story is "under the fold" if you're interested...
UPDATE: The Moosh came through okay, now we have to kick the pneumonia. We are waiting for the test results to see if he is on the right antibiotics. Thank you for all the notes, encouragement and prayers.
Moosh is a Chow Chow, his name is MuShu but mostly I call him the Moosh, Cute ain't he?
Okay...
It's early morning and I let the pooch out into the yard to do his business. I go back in the house for a cup of coffee. Just as I pick up the pot, MuShu starts this frenzied barking. So I drop the pot and go running out and what do I discover? I discover my boy in battle with a land crab. Have you ever seen one? They are blue, huge (this one was as tall as my knees), with these horrible giant claws and they run sideways, fast as lightening. This is a blue land crab:
Eeeewwww!!! As you can see, they are the stuff nightmares are made of. What it was doing in my fenced-in yard, I'll never know.
So anyway, Mr. Crab is running all over the yard and MuShu is chasing him and practically howling. I'm chasing MuShu (and practically howling too). I was terrified that the crab would get MuShu's nose or tongue, or even his eyes, those claws are really sharp.
Mr. Crab is faster than MuShu and MuShu is faster than me. I can't catch the dog and we are going back and forth all over the yard. MuShu is barking and I'm screaming and all of sudden, Mr. Crab goes left with MuShu in pursuit and me in pursuit of MuShu. And I realize I left the back door open just as Mr. Crab runs into my house!
So the chase is still on, through the house and into the living room. I finally get hold of MuShu who is still barking and struggling in my arms but I run and throw him into the bathroom and shut the door. I'm out of breath, covered in sweat and completely traumatized. I still haven't had any coffee and I'm ready to collapse.
But, as you know, there is no rest for the wicked, and I have to go back after the crab. So I grab a broom and a laundry basket and I go right back at it, except... Guess what? Now I can't find Mr. Crab. So I'm pulling out couches and tables and looking behind things, my heart is pounding and I'm actually whimpering and I still can't find him!
Then... I hear this tick tick tick noise, turn around and spot Mr. Crab making a mad dash down the hall, heading for my bedroom. As you know, crabs in the bedroom are a bad thing (or so I've heard).
So, broom in hand, I charge down the hall after the crab but like I said, they are fast as hell. Just before he gets to the bedroom I hit him a solid blow with the corner of the broom, so solid in fact that Mr. Crab pretty much exploded, covering the walls and the ceiling of my hallway with crab guts.
Oh yeah, and covering me with crab guts too.
Just in time to go to work.

You kinda have to wonder what New York Times editor and reporter David E. Rosenbaum was thinking as he was beaten to death by his attackers. After all, he was anti-gun.
Perhaps at the very end he thought... "Thank G-d guns are outlawed or they might shoot me instead of just beating me to death?" Or maybe it was just "I'm glad don't have one of those evil firearms because I might be tempted to shoot these bastards before they beat me to death."
No matter. Even without a gun, his killers still killed him for the money in his wallet. But since nobody got shot, we should all feel safer, right?
Rosenbaum is survived by his wife, two children, two grandchildren, and a couple of unarmed violent murderous criminals. Yup. Gun control works!!

Guard The Borders Blogburst
I watched a documentary last summer about the loss of jobs in America. Small, middle class towns formerly supported by jobs in maufacturing (such as Thompson TVs, Rubbermaid, RCA, etc) are dead and defunct because the plants closed. Can you guess why? The Trade Agreement with China (thanks Willie!). Here's a few interesting facts:
Wal-Mart is the largest corporation in the world. Dell+IBM+GM+GE+Microsoft+HP = Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart buys its product from 6,000 suppliers. Wal-Mart built its gargantuan buying headquarters in China, because 80% of those suppliers are in China. They buy finished products in China (where the factory workers are paid $25-50/month) and then RETAIL them for LESS than what it costs American manufacturers to make them.
This is how they do it: Wal-Mart, as THE buying giant of the world, cuts costs by TELLING manufacturers what product they want, and how much they'll pay for it. The manufacturer who can meet Wal-Mart's lowest price is the winner - all the rest die. This strategy is what killed American manufacturers like Rubbermaid, and guess who bought all the auctioned off pieces? China.
When Clinton signed the Trade Agreement giving China Most-Favored Nation status, he promised that the burgeoning population of China would be a vast, endless market for American goods. Well *shocker* he was wrong: the trade deficit with China is now at $136 BILLION, up 31% from last year, and still rising. The Chinese can't afford American products, so they don't buy American products.
Long Beach, CA, serves as a major port for Chinese import and export. Last year, America shipped to China $3 billion worth of raw materials: scrap paper, scrap metal, cotton, and leather hides. The Chinese exported to America $36 BILLION worth of consumer products: clothes, shoes, electronics, toys, etc. We send them raw materials, they turn it into finished products and send it back. We sell $3 billion and BUY BACK $36 Billion.
I personally won't shop in Wal-Mart. I haven't for about 5 years since they put the little main street in our town out of business (including me). That, to me, was a micro-economic view of what Wal-Mart has done to the country on a macro-economic scale. (Besides, going into Wal-Mart in Texas is like walking into Mexico, and invariably irritates me.)
The documentary I mentioned above (by Frontline) basically outlined the impact Wal-Mart has had on our national economy. On a philosophical level, you've seen a shift from American products, manufactured in America by motivated and productive Americans, being the BEST, highest quality in the world to Americans becoming the largest consumer of cheap crap from China. In the meantime, those productive Americans are now without jobs, those little main streets are empty and derelict, and Wal-Mart bags $286 BILLION dollars in profit. If you believe that American corporations have the right to refuse decent wages to Americans in favor of importing crap from the government "labor camps" of China, then you are the perfect Wal-Mart customer. Think about THAT, the next time you gloat over how cheap the stuff is in Wal-Mart.
More to the point, the same geniuses who touted the disastrously failed Trade Agreement with China are the same ones who whine about how we need the illegal aliens "to do jobs American aren't willing to do." Well, if you've formerly made $56,000/year, plus benefits, running a machine for Rubbermaid, how easy do you think it would be to run to a job picking lettuce for $4/hour?! What makes it okay to import and exploit illegal labor from Mexico to undercut the American worker? How much sense does it make for corporations to pay Mexicans less than a fair living wage, so that the TAXPAYER then has to support that illegal Mexican and his family?! NONE at all.
Furthermore, how can the small business that provides physical services to customers compete with illegal laborers that cut corners by using extended family labor? On a radio program a few weeks ago, I heard countless American workers recount how they lost contracts because illegal aliens agreed to do the work for far less and much quicker - and no wonder, because they had their entire family working, including the kids! One man who couldn't find work as a sheetrocker saw his jobs going to a man whose wife and children worked on the site. How are American workers supposed to compete with illegal (but free!) child labor?!
My husband supervises multiple construction subcontractors who ALL use illegal Mexican laborers. He is aggravated beyond belief because his inspectors find fatal flaws in each and every phase of construction - without exception. The sub ends up having to demolish and remove all the faulty construction and replace it, sometimes more than twice! Costs skyrocket and schedule delays cost so much more than budgeted, and it all comes down to this bottom line: the illegal aliens do not have the proper know-how or expertise or capability to do the job right the first time. I cannot fathom how many millions of dollars the subs will have to squander before they reach the conclusion that they'd be better off hiring skilled American laborers who understand their instructions and produce a more professional product than cutting corners by hiring illegals who don't know what they're doing and produce a shoddy product.
Back up and look at the bigger picture: you may think our products are cheaper because the corporations are paying illegal workers far less than they would have to pay American workers, but those ILLEGALS have to survive somehow and they do it it by sucking off the American TAXPAYER. So, the stuff you buy isn't as cheap as you thought it was, you're just paying more for it in the form of higher taxes! (City, State, and Federal)
Who hasn't seen their property taxes skyrocket because the schools are bursting at the seams and constantly need money? In San Antonio, the hospital system had their own separate tax included in our homeowner's property tax to PAY THEM for all the free care they provide to illegals. Yes, my property tax supported a hospital system that would've bankrupted due to the strain of caring for illegals. So not only was I paying more for my medical services (as a citizen who actually paid for care), but now I was paying for free medical care for ILLEGALS in the form of my increased property taxes.
The economic burden of unbalanced trade and illegal immigration is stripping Americans of options. But the cultural and societal impact is even greater. While the American birth rate is barely at replacement, illegal immigrants are reproducing far faster - nearly 3 times as fast. Poverty is spreading; crime and instability follow. Movements pushing bilingual integration are proliferating, and more and more American traditions fall away in favor of ethnic celebrations. American money flows freely throughout the world, propping up the toothless European governments who are all incapable of their own defense; and supporting the entire eceonomy of nations like Mexico. The best interests of China, Mexico, Canada, etc, all seem to weigh more heavily on our politicians than the best interests of Americans.

Close the borders, deport the illegals, cut off China, f***the UN, and shut off the flow of money to the rest of the world since we're always the bad guys anyway.

Affirmative Action at Work
Oh for crying out loud....
A black police bodyguard who protected the Duchess of Cornwall has won $70,000 compensation after suing Scotland Yard for “over-promoting” him because of political correctness.
Sgt Leslie Turner—the first black personal protection officer to guard the royal family—will receive the “racial discrimination” payout after reaching an out-of-court settlement with London’s Metropolitan Police.
Hmph. Sounds like he was passed over for promotion because he was black, don't it? Well, actually, the opposite was true.
His representatives argued he landed the prestigious job as Camilla’s bodyguard only because he was black.
Turner was promoted into a job he was completely unqualified and unable to do, simply because he was black. Of course, Turner wasn't upset about getting a job he was unqualified to do. Turner wasn't upset about being promoted over others who were qualified simply because he was black. No. Turner was upset because they reassigned him for screwing up.
It was claimed that as a result of being over-promoted and not receiving proper training and support, Sgt Turner made mistakes which led to him being re-assigned
So, like most affirmative action beneficiaries, Turner was unfairly advantaged. Turner sued and collected some hush money because we can't have the Royal Security Secrets aired before the public.
Jesse Jackson would be proud.

Ariel Sharon
I have posted some very harsh words here for Ariel Sharon, resulting from the very harsh thoughts and feelings I hold in my heart. I am angry at Ariel Sharon, I do not understand how he came to be what he is, how he has gone from being a hero of Israel to a destroyer of Israel.
Ariel Sharon has betrayed the political party platform upon which he was elected. Ariel Sharon has placed parts of Eretz Yisrael into the hands of the enemy. Ariel Sharon has all but destroyed the lives of 9,000 Jews, leaving them homeless and taking away their livelihoods. Ariel Sharon has appeased the very terrorists who have murdered Jews consistently and continuously for decades. The people of Israel have paid the price for what Ariel Sharon has wrought in blood and tears.
The horrors that have befallen Eretz Yisrael have effected me deeply. The grief I feel for what has happened in Eretz Yisrael is real and painful. Like most American Jews, I have considered Aliyah many times. Aliyah to where? Gaza? If I had, Ariel Sharon would have made me homeless. Considering that today, Israel is the only place in the world where Jews can be forced from their homes for being Jewish, where should I Aliyah to?
Hell is a Jewish state devoid of Jewish values that picks up where the anti-Semites, the pogromers, and the exilers left off. Hell is a Jewish prime minister who has become a cannibal of his own people. Hell is when a country has lost its will to exist and begins a process of national suicide. I have prayed for Ariel Sharon, I prayed the power he has over Israel be taken from him. I did not pray for the death of Ariel Sharon, the weight of such a deed would crush my heart and my soul.
Today, Ariel Sharon is at the end of his political career, and he lies at the brink of death. While I would have preferred that Ariel Sharon see defeat at the polls, I believe everything happens for a reason, and yes, there is a reason for what has befallen Ariel Sharon. His illness is the result of the way he has chosen to live his life. Ariel Sharon is 77 years old, horribly overweight, he himself has destroyed his health and today, he suffers the consequences of his own actions. I do not believe his illness results from a punishment by G-d, I believe Ariel Sharon is responsible for his own suffering, it is the result of his own choices.

And so, I will continue to pray for Ariel Sharon. I will pray that Ariel Sharon be relieved of his pain and suffering. As for how that comes about, be it through healing or death, is in the hands of G-d , where it has always been.

Update: A interesting side note to this is that the last two times that the Red Sox won the World Series, Hockey's Stanley Cup playoffs were cancelled. The 1918-19 Stanley Cup playoffs were cancelled because the Spanish flu pandemic raging at the time had incapacitated members of both teams, and the 2004-05 Stanley Cup playoffs were cancelled with the entire 2004-05 season, resulting from a labor dispute between the NHL owners and the NHLPA. In Iraq an IED explodes,
An American soldier dies,
But that blast will grow as the media blow
It up before our eyes.

Like sheep they bleat we face defeat,

Jan 2, 2005 - Nissim Arbiv, 25, of Nissanit in the Gaza Strip was mortally wounded in a mortar shell attack while working in the Erez Industrial Zone. He died of his wounds on January 11. Two others were wounded in the attack, for which Hamas claimed responsibility.
Jan 7, 2005 - St.-Sgt. Yosef (Yossi) Atia, 21, of Petah Tikva, was killed and three fellow off-duty soldiers were wounded when Palestinian gunmen opened fire on their car on the Trans-Samaria Highway. The Fatah al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jan 9, 2005 - An Israeli officer is killed, and three others injured, in a Hezbollah rocket attack along the Lebanese border (Shebba Farms).
Jan 12, 2005 - Gideon Rivlin, 50, of Ganei Tal was killed and three IDF soldiers were wounded when a bomb was detonated as a military vehicle patroled the route near Morag in the southern Gaza Strip. Two terrorists were killed by IDF forces. The area was booby-trapped with explosive devices, in addition to the bomb that exploded. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jan 13, 2005 - On Thursday night, shortly before the closing of the Karni Crossing, terrorists activated an explosive device on the Palestinian side, blowing a hole in the door through which Palestinian terrorists infiltrated the Israeli side of the crossing and opened fire at Israeli civilians. As a result of the explosion and exchanges of fire, six Israeli civilians and three Palestinian terrorists were killed, and five Israeli civilians were wounded. Hamas and the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed joint responsiblity for the attack. The victims: Dror Gizri, 30, of Sderot; Ibrahim Kahili, 46, of Umm al-Ghanem; Munam Abu Sabia, 33, of Daburiyeh; Ivan Shmilov, 53, of Sderot; Herzl Shlomo, 51, of Sderot; and Ofer Tiri, 23, of Ashkelon.
Jan 15, 2005 - Ayala-Haya (Ella) Abukasis, 17, of Sderot was mortally wounded when a Qassam rocket landed near her and shrapnel penetrated her cerebellum, leaving her brain dead. She was struck while protecting her younger brother, who was lightly wounded. Kept on life support throughout the week, her parents agreed to stop treatment when doctors told them there was no chance of recovery. She died on January 21.
Jan 18, 2005 - Oded Sharon, 36, from Gan Yavne, an ISA officer, was killed, an IDF officer seriously wounded, and four IDF soldiers and three members of the ISA were lightly wounded in a suicide bombing attack at the Gush Katif junction in the central Gaza Strip. While search procedures were being implemented at a post at the junction, the suicide bomber with explosives strapped to his body detonated himself. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jan 18, 2005 - 17-year-old Israeli girl dies trying to protect her 10-year-old brother from a Hamas rocket attack (on 1-15 in Sderot).
The "Truce" or "Hudna" or whatever you want to call it agreed to by Sharon and Abu Mazen began February 8, 2005. The following attacks occured during the so called Truce:
Feb 25, 2005 - Five people were killed and 50 wounded Friday night, when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the Stage club on the Tel Aviv promenade at around 11:20 P.M., on the corner of Herbert Samuel and Yonah Hanavi streets. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
The victims: Yitzhak Buzaglo, 40, of Mishmar Hayarden; Aryeh Nagar, 37, of Kfar Sava; Yael Orbach, 28, of Rehovot; Ronen Reuvenov, 30, of Tel Aviv. Odelia Hubara, 26, of Jerusalem, died of her wounds on February 28.May 2, 2005 - St.-Sgt. Dan Talasnikov, 21, of Nir Galim was killed and another soldier lightly wounded in an exchange of fire during an operation to arrest wanted terrorists from the Islamic Jihad in the village of Saida, north of Tulkarem. One of the terrorists, responsible for the February 25 suicide bombing in Tel Aviv, was killed. The second terrorist was apprehended.
Mar 7, 2005 - Two Israelis are wounded by a Palestinian sniper in Hebron.
Jun 7, 2005 - Three workers were killed and five wounded when a Qassam rocket hit a packing shed in Ganei Tal, in the Gaza Strip, penetrating the building's roof and exploding indoors. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 19, 2005 - IDF NCO Sgt.-Maj. Avi Karouchi, 25, of Beersheba was killed and two soldiers were wounded in a coordinated Palestinian attack in which RPG missiles and gunfire were fired at an IDF engineering force conducting construction work on the Philadelphi route along the Israeli-Egyptian border. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 20, 2005 - Yevgeny Reider, 28 of Hermesh was killed and a 16-year old teenager was wounded in a terrorist shooting attack in the village of Baka A-Sharkiya in the northern West Bank. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 24, 2005 - Avihai Levy, 17, of Beit Hagai was killed in a drive-by terrorist shooting at a hitchhiking stop about 200 meters from the entrance to Beit Hagai, south of Hebron. Aviad Mansour, 16, of Otniel, fatally wounded in the attack, died on June 26. Three others were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 29, 2005 - Hezbollah attacks an Israeli position at Mt. Dov from across the Lebanese border, killing one and injuring three.
Jul 12, 2005 - Rachel Ben Abu, 16, of Tel Aviv; Nofar Horowitz, 16, of Tel Aviv; and Julia Voloshin, 31, of Netanya were killed and about 90 people were wounded when a suicide bomber detonated himself outside Hasharon Mall in Netanya. Anya Lifshitz, 50, of Netanya, who was mortally wounded, succumbed to her wounds on July 13. Cpl. Moshe Maor Jan, 21, of Netanya died of his wounds on July 14. The bomber was identified as Ahmed Abu Khalil, 18, from the West Bank village of Atil. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jul 14, 2005 - Dana Gelkovitch, 22, of Kibbutz Bror Hayil, was killed by a Qassam rocket fired at Netiv Ha'asara in the northern Gaza Strip. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah all claimed responsibility for the attack.

Jul 23, 2005 - Dov, 58, and Rachel Kol, 53, of Jerusalem were killed shortly after midnight on Saturday night near the Kissufim crossing in the southern Gaza Strip while returning home from visiting family in Gush Katif. Three others were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Aug 3, 2005 - Palestinian terrorists fire a rocket at a group of Israeli demonstrators in Sderot. The missile hits their own group instead, killing a 3-year-old boy and injuring nine others, including five children.
Aug 24, 2005 - Shmuel Mett, 21, of Britain, a Mir Yeshiva student, was returning from the Western Wall to the yeshiva in Jerusalem’s Beit Yisrael neighborhood when he was fatally stabbed near Jaffa Gate in the Old City. Two other students were wounded.
Aug 28, 2005 - A Fatah terrorist detonated a suicide bomb in Beersheba, eight Israelis are hospitalized, including two guards that were seriously wounded.
Sept 21, 2005 - Sasson Nuriel, 55, of Jerusalem was kidnapped and slain by Palestinian terrorists. His body was found on Sept 26 in a garbage dump in the industrial zone of Bitunya, west of Ramallah. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
Oct 16, 2005 - Matat (Rosenfeld) Adler, 21, and her cousin, Kineret Mandel, 23, both of Carmel, and Oz Ben-Meir, 15, of Maon were killed and three were wounded when Palestinians opened fire at the Gush Etzion junction south of Jerusalem. Another teenager was shot and seriously wounded near Eli, in Samaria. The Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for both attacks.
Oct 26, 2005 - Six people were killed and 55 wounded, six seriously, in a suicide bombing at the Hadera open-air market. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims: Michael Kaufman, 68, of Hadera; Pirhiya Machlouf, 53, of Hadera; Sabiha Nissim, 66, of Moshav Ahituv; Jamil Qa'adan, 48, of Baka al-Gharbiya; and Ya'acov Rahmani, 68, of Hadera. A sixth victim, Genia Poleis, 66, of Hadera, died of her wounds 11 days later, on November 5.
Nov 2, 2005 - St.-Sgt. Yonatan Evron, 20, of Rishon Lezion, was mortally wounded in a gun battle with terrorists near Jenin. He died en route to hospital.
Nov 21, 2005 - Eleven Israeli soldiers and one civilian are injured by a Hezbollah attack in Metulla, Northern Israel..
Dec 5, 2005 - Five people were killed and over 50 wounded in a suicide bombing at the entrance to the Sharon shopping mall in Netanya. The terrorist detonated the bomb when he was stopped by security guards, one of whom was killed. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims: Haim Amram, 26, of Netanya, a security guard at the mall; Alexandra Garmitzky, 65, of Netanya; Daniel Golani, 45, of Nahariya; Elia Rosen, 38, of Bat Hefer; and Keinan Tsuami, 20, of Petah Tikva.
Dec 8, 2005 - Sgt. Nir Kahane, 20, of Kiryat Tivon, was stabbed to death at the Kalandiya checkpoint, south of Ramallah. The assailant was apprehended. The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Dec 16, 2005 - Yosef (Yossi) Shok, 35, of Beit Hagai was killed in a shooting attack while driving home in the southern Hebron hills. Two passengers were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed joint responsibility for the attack.
Dec 29, 2005 - Lt. Ori Binamo, 21, of Nesher was killed when a terrorist en route to carry out an attack in Israel detonated himself at roadblock set up near Tulkarm following an intelligence tip. Two Palestinians were also killed, one the taxi driver who was carrying the bomber. Three soldiers and seven Palestinians were wounded.
The number of rockets and mortar shells on Israeli targets has sharply increased since the expulsion, with 130 attacks from January through July, the eve of the expulsion, and 179 since then. Most of them fell during the Truce. And many of them came from Gaza. Three Kassam rockets struck the western Negev today.
Now, the Truce over. What can Israel expect?
