Who needs rules?

U.S. Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) punched a Capitol police officer on Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses say McKinney pulled her arm away, and with her cell phone in hand, punched the officer in the chest.

An unconfirmed statement attributed to McKinney has been released on the Internet, where she allegedly claims to have been harassed by Capitol Hill Police.

The statement's writer says that she has been harassed by white police officers she says do not recognize her due to her recently changed hairstyle.

"Do I have to contact the police every time I change my hairstyle? How do we account for the fact that when I wore my braids every day for 11 years, I still faced this problem, primarily from certain white police officers," the statement says.

Never mind that you're supposed to wear your lapel pin as your credentials, Cynthia, oh no, the rules don't apply to you, do they and therefore, its okay to assault a police officer?

You are a disgrace to your state, your office, and this country.

UPDATE: This was her 5th run in with the law on the same issue. Last time she said: "I am absolutely sick and tired of having to have my appearance at the White House validated by white people."

What a racist.

Reason # 65858674534

Why I'm a dog person...

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Residents of the neighborhood of Sunset Circle say they have been terrorized by a crazy cat named Lewis. Lewis for his part has been uniquely cited, personally issued a restraining order by the town's animal control officer.

"He looks like Felix the Cat and has six toes on each foot, each with a long claw," Janet Kettman, a neighbor said Monday. "They are formidable weapons."

The neighbors said those weapons, along with catlike stealth, have allowed Lewis to attack at least a half dozen people and ambush the Avon lady as she was getting out of her car.

Some of those who were bitten and scratched ended up seeking treatment at area hospitals.

Animal Control Officer Rachel Solveira placed a restraining order on him. It was the first time such an action was taken against a cat in Fairfield.

In effect, Lewis is under house arrest, forbidden to leave his home.

Solveira also arrested the cat's owner, Ruth Cisero, charging her with failing to comply with the restraining order and reckless endangerment.

It must be Bush's Fault

Clinton chauffeur an illegal immigrant

NEWARK, N.J., March 27 (UPI) -- An embarrassing hole in security surrounding former U.S. President Bill Clinton turned up when one of his chauffeurs was found to be a wanted man.

Shahzad Qureshi, 42, was in one of three cars awaiting Clinton at Newark Airport last week when a Port Authority policeman happened to check license plate numbers.

The computer came back showing the Pakistani national had skipped a residency-status hearing in 2000, and a deportation order had been issued by the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the New York Post reported.

Qureshi was still in jail Monday awaiting immigration processing, the report said.

It was the Joooos...

Last year, I received some pictures of a bunch of arabs running over a little boy's arm, supposedly as a punishment for stealing bread in Iran. The pictures were disturbing, and I posted them here. So, it turned out that the pictures were taken during a bit of "arab street theater," its amazing what passes for entertainment for the followers of the prophet of doom. I am sure it wasn't as entertaining as a hanging, or a stoning, or a beheading, but in pinch, I suppose running over a little boy's arm will do. That such a thing could be considered entertainment in the arab world, that they would stand around and watch such a thing, was the true lesson of that little photo essay.

Anyways, the old post got flagged by a few motorcycle and car forums last month, and it became very popular. Thousands of viewers from these forums flocked to my site to take a peek. Some stayed and commented there, including this asshole from Australia:

Sorry cessey, but I'm not posting your comment back there, I'm posting it here along with your email address and your ip address, because I want everyone to see your lying cowardly statement and I want everyone to know who you are.

Trying to blame such an atrocity on the Jooos only proves once again that whenever they are caught doing something so repulsive that the world cries out in horror, the followers of the prophet of doom will blame it on the Joooos. Its like a scene straight out of...

Pallywood - Click to watch!!

Screw you cessey, you speak from both sides of your mouth, your heart is black and your soul is forfeit. You worship a demon straight from the bowels of hell and you will burn for eternity. Allah fubar and so on and so forth.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Asshole.

How the Left Supports the Troops

The scumbags have again defaced the memory of one of our Troops. This time, it was Army Sgt. 1st Class Daniel H. Petithory, a Green Beret who was killed in action in Afghanistan:

The family of a Green Beret who was one of the nation's first casualties in the war on terror in Afghanistan was outraged after discovering vandals had defaced a sign honoring the soldier with anti-war graffiti.

"I felt like I was going to vomit," said Michael Petithory, the brother of Army Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Petithory.

"It was just pure rage," he told the North Adams Transcript.

Daniel Petithory was killed Dec. 5, 2001, along with two other soldiers when a U.S. bomb landed about 100 yards from their position north of Kandahar.

Sgt. 1st Class Daniel H. Petithory ODA-574, Co. A, 3rd Bn., 5th SFG (Abn.)

Petithory, 34, was a communications sergeant assigned to OAD-574, Co. A, 3rd Bn., 5th SFG (Abn.), in his 14th year of service. He participated in contingency operations in Kuwait, Haiti, Africa and throughout Southwest Asia. He is survived by his parents, Louis and Barbara Petithory, a brother, Michael and a sister, Nicole.

Lest We Forget: Remarks by Captain Jason Amerine, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne)

Note: Capt. Jason Amerine commanded the special forces team that was hit by an errant airstrike on Dec. 5, 2001. Three 5th Special Forces Group soldiers were killed: Master Sgt. Jefferson Donald Davis, Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Henry Petithory and Staff Sgt. Brian Cody Prosser. Twenty other 5th Special Forces Group soldiers, including Capt. Amerine, were injured. Capt. Amerine made the following remarks at a commemoration service at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

Oliver Wendell Holmes said, "We have shared the incommunicable experience of war. We have felt -- we still feel -- the passion of life to its top. In our youths our lives were touched by fire."

On September 11th, the men of my detachment were in a Central Asian country training young soldiers who were commanded by veterans of the last war in Afghanistan. That night, as we were sitting down to eat, I received a phone call from [Sgt. 1st Class] Dan Petithory who was at the American embassy. I could tell he was fighting back tears as he described what was taking place in New York and Washington. [Master Sgt.] Jefferson Davis, the team sergeant, sat down with the detachment and began to prepare them for the war that we wanted to fight. Our greatest fear was not death but the fear that we would not get a mission that would let us make a difference.

Only weeks later my team was in Afghanistan working with Hamid Karzai and his anti-Taliban forces to rid Afghanistan of the terrorists responsible for that tragedy. We grew close as a detachment . . . and we grew close to the brave Afghani fighters with whom we fought. Our mission was not one of revenge. It was a mission to help the people of Afghanistan and in so accomplishing this noble duty to rid their country of the terrorists who wounded America so grievously.

On November 16th, the town of Tirin Kowt deposed their Taliban administration and declared themselves free from the tyranny of that regime. The Taliban launched 500 men to retake that town but my team and Karzai’s rag-tag force of freedom fighters arrived first. We defended the town in a tense battle that lasted several hours. When it was over, we held the town. Hamid Karzai later learned that the Taliban planned to sack the town and slaughter the innocent families that lived there as a form of retribution.

The pride we felt that day will stay with us forever. Even now it sustains us in our sorrow. We came to kill the enemy -- to rid Afghanistan of the terrorists who dwelled there. We departed for war with fresh memory of what Al Qaeda had done to the men and women of our country on September 11th. We stopped the people of Tirin Kowt from facing a similar tragedy at the hands of their countrymen.

Less then a week ago, my team and the headquarters with us suffered terrible losses.

Master Sergeant Jefferson Davis was a father to the men of the detachment.

Sergeant First Class Dan Petithory was our older brother.

Staff Sergeant Cody Prosser was my friend.

Brave pilots took to the skies immediately to fly across Afghanistan in broad daylight to get us out. The doctors, nurses and technicians who cared for our wounded kept us alive. The quality of the care we received. . . the love and devotion showed by everyone to my wounded. . . will never be forgotten by my men or me. We could not have penetrated so deep behind enemy lines without faith that they would be there for us. Our faith was requited on that dark day.

The war continues in Afghanistan. Our prayers are with the servicemen and servicewomen who continue to perform their duties with the greatest measure of devotion across the world to ensure that the attacks of September 11th will never be repeated. Our prayers are with the families of our fallen brothers and our brothers who struggle to recover from their injuries. Our prayers are with the families of the victims of the attacks upon America and their fallen loved ones.

Now my team must recover just as our nation continues to recover. We will mourn our dead, will heal our wounded, and with heads held high, we will anxiously await the next opportunity to serve our country. Our fallen will not be forgotten. September 11th will not be forgotten.

"In the words of Tennyson:

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
we are not now that strength which in old days
moved Earth and Heaven, that which we are, we are,
one equal temper of heroic hearts,
made weak by time and fate, but strong in will,
to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."

De Oppresso Liber

My heart and my prayers are with Sgt. Petithory and his family, today, and everyday. The moonbats responsible for the defacing of the Memorial do not speak for the majority of America.

The United States of America stands behind our troops, and their families. We are ever grateful and thankful for the sacrifices made by our Military and their families.

America is proud of our Troops and their actions to put an end to the brutality, terror and barbaric acts suffered by so many for so long and to finally put an end to terrorism.

America is thankful and grateful for the sacrifices that our troops and their families make to protect and preserve our way of life.

As for me, well I can never thank our Troops enough for all they do to protect the United States and my personal freedom.

Please visit the Online Memorial and leave some kind words for Sgt. Petithory''s family.

What a crock of crap

The latest insanity from Berzerkley:

"Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints? Chances are he grew up to be a conservative."

Nope. That issue has already been decided thanks to advanced, scientific research.

Political scientists have long held that people's upbringing and experience determine their political views. A child raised on peace protests and Bush-loathing generally tracks left as an adult, unless derailed by some powerful life experience. One reared on tax protests and a hatred of Kennedys usually lists to the right.

But on the basis of a new study, a team of political scientists is arguing that people's gut-level reaction to issues like the death penalty, taxes and abortion is strongly influenced by genetic inheritance. The new research builds on a series of studies that indicate that people's general approach to social issues - more conservative or more progressive - is influenced by genes.

That's right. Liberals are liberals because of a genetic defect for which they are not responsible, and in fact, they can blame their parents for it.

So, next time you are confronted by a dirty, smelly, ranting, raving, flag burning, patchouli reeking, troop hating, Bush bashing, liberal moonbat, don't blame it for its anti-social, anti-American behavior.

Blame their faulty genes inherited from their parents for the fact that they betray, prostitute, corrupt, shame, and weaken this nation time and time again.

Liberalism... its not just a mental disease, its a genetic mental disease.

Should we be concerned? I think not. After all, every year in the United States of America, these dirty, smelly, ranting, raving, flag burning, patchouli reeking, troop hating, Bush bashing, pro-choice liberal moonbats kill off 1.3 million of their own offspring as a matter of convenience.

So, if the mental disease known as liberalism is indeed genetic, eventually, and hopefully, the moonbat will kill itself off and inconvenience us no more.

Guard the Borders Blogburst

This is a CALL TO ACTION:

On Thursday, March 16, the Senate Judiciary Committee told their staff to meet behind closed doors to construct an immigration bill that would include provisions from the Kennedy-McCain bill. Known as S. 1033, the McCain-Kennedy bill includes an amnesty for illegal aliens, a massive "guest" worker program that leads to citizenship, and an estimated one million additional permanent immigrants each year.

Millions of illegals to become citizens?
Kennedy-McCain immigration reform bill likely to pass Senate committee after recess

A bill that would give millions of illegal aliens in the United States the opportunity to earn citizenship is closer to becoming law today as members of the Senate Judiciary Committee signaled likely passage of a proposal by Sens. Edward Kenney, D-Mass., and John McCain, R-Ariz.

Though a committee vote will not be held until after a week-long congressional recess, likely March 27, committee members appeared ready to back the Kennedy-McCain bill.

"The votes are there," said Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.

Congress is working to pass a reform bill that includes enforcement, a policy on dealing with illegals already in the country and a guest-worker program pushed by President Bush.

Under the legislation, illegal aliens in the United States would obtain six-year nonimmigrant visas under which they could work in the country and travel outside the country. The aliens would have to pay a $1,000 fine and undergo background checks.

After six years, the aliens would be able to meet certain requirements and then apply for a green card, or permanent residency.

Besides voting on the bill after the recess, committee Chairman Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said the panel also would vote on a bill by Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., that would give illegal aliens up to five years to leave the U.S. After returning home, they could then apply to return, either as temporary workers or for permanent residency.

"Our intention is not to strand anyone outside the country," Kyl said, according to an AP report. But he asserted the McCain-Kennedy plan would give an illegal alien allowed to stay and work in the country a "huge advantage" over a person having to wait for years in his or her own country for a green card.

The McCain-Kennedy bill would start off with offering 400,000 of the new visas.

To compare the various bills please click here to view a .pdf chart created by NumbersUSA.org. You will be able to see for yourself that what the spin-meisters are telling us about the various bills clearly does NOT match the actual provisions of the bills themselves.

Although Sens. McCain and Kennedy adamantly deny that S. 1033 is an amnesty for illegal aliens, it clearly spells out a path to jobs and residency for illegal aliens. Among the significant immigration-increase provisions of the bill are: a new visa category (H-5A) for 400,000 low-skill foreign workers (this cap can be adjusted upwards); a new temporary 6-year visa category (H-5B) for illegal aliens (and their spouses and children) already in the country; an amnesty for illegal aliens who apply for an H-5B visa and pay a $2,000 fine; a provision for the H-5A temporary workers to apply for permanent resident status after four years; and an exemption of immediate relatives (spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens) from the annual level of 480,000 family-sponsored immigrant visas thereby providing additional visas to the family preference categories.

Supporters claim S. 1033 contains measures to increase border security, yet it contains virtually no such provisions. Aside from creating a Border Security Committee and requiring a few reports, the main "enforcement" provisions are aimed at helping Mexico control its borders!! S. 1033 does, however, require machine-readable immigration documents, and create a new electronic work authorization system that would eventually replace the current "I-9" system. S. 1033 would require the federal government to reimburse states for the cost of providing emergency health care to H-5A and H-5B workers.

Aside from the fact that any guest worker plan would be nothing more than a disastrous amnesty deal tied with a big red bow for lawbreakers, there is another reason to reject it: Our government can’t handle it!

Our government is not capable of handling roughly 13-20 million temporary worker applications when our illegal alien population suddenly becomes eligible through guest worker legislation - USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service) simply cannot handle the administration overload it already has. The only solution would be to massively increase the government. The link above outlines a report from the GAO that shows how the USCIS is already irrevocably buried under a backlog of immigration adjudication. It's a whole other perspective on the various administrative amnesties proposed by the Senate. Mundane? Perhaps. Crucial to the overall scope and size of our bloated and sprawling federal government? Absolutely.

Imagine Moderate Muslims

Imagine a country with a population of 220 million. Imagine that country is around 85 percent Muslim. Imagine that the muslims who live in this country are following a "moderate" form of Islam.

You would be imagining Indonesia, the moderate muslim paradise.

Except...

"Religious radicalism, when it is translated into violent methods in the name of religion, has received enough support -- one in every 10 Muslims in Indonesia," LSI senior researcher Anies Baswedan said. "It seems small, but this is already quite a big support for extreme acts."

huh?

One in ten of those moderate muslims support the suicide bombings that have killed hundreds of their fellow moderate muslim in recent years.

But... suicide bombing is an extremist militant muslim tactic and these are moderate muslims!

Eight percent of those moderate muslims support the Al-Queda leader in their country who is the mastermind behind those suicide bombings that have killed hundreds of their fellow moderate muslims in recent years.

But... Al-Queda is an exremist militant muslim group and these are moderate muslims.

Half of those moderate muslims support stoning as a punishment for adulterers while support for other extreme elements of Islamic sharia was also significant.

Jeepers. I didn't know stoning was a moderate muslim value.

An Indonesian expresses the "moderate view" on Israel

Of course, Indonesia's moderate muslim population doesn't like Christians much either.

Muslim means "adherent to islam." Islam is a death cult.

Moderate Muslim is an oxymoron.

'fraid not, you bitch!

A move by Jane Fonda's home state of Georgia to honor the bitch for her US charity work has been defeated by the Georgia Senate with a vote of 38-1.

Republican Senator John Douglas said Fonda, who picked up the nickname "Hanoi Jane", was "guilty of treason".

"I can think of no living American who is less worthy of this honor," he said.

Senator Douglas, John F'ng Kerry comes close.

Flying Cows and Illegal Immigrants

It was a wild night in Texas.

First up, a cow comes flying out of its trailer:

"We believe the gate of the cattle trailer came open, and the cow, for lack of a better phrase spilled out onto the Interstate. It was pretty chaotic for a while."

Several cars hit some of the cows. One cow died. DPS troopers called for backup.

and... bring on the illegal immigrants:

That's when one officer was nearly run down by a speeding truck, carrying two illegal immigrants inside.

Turns out the police were literally hot on the trail, and chased the two on foot. But the police parked their cars in the hot grass, and the cars burst into flame.

"Well, all of a sudden, another officer who'd arrived on the scene, alerted the sergeant that there was a fire."

End result, everything inside the vehicles was destroyed, including tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment designed for the patrol cars.

"You start off with kind of a bizarre accident with these cows spilling onto the interstate. That leads to other accidents, that leads to a car chase, that leads to a foot chase," Watson recalls.

The two mexican immigrants, ages 21 and 23, were taken into custody for illegally entering the country and evading arrest.

However, I am sure they will be released by the time you read this.

I'm speechless

The United States hopes to find a way to increase humanitarian donations to the Palestinians following Hamas’ election victory, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Sunday.

"We are looking at ways to even increase our humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people during this period of time," Rice said.

Oh for crying out loud!

All I can say is.... what he said!

The Shameful Truth

The History of Republican Evil

The Republican Party was formed in 1854 specifically to oppose the Democrats, and for more than 150 years, they have done everything they could to block the Democrat agenda. In their abuses of power, they have even used threats and military violence to thwart the Democrat Party’s attempts to make this a progressive country. As you read the following Republican atrocities that span three centuries, imagine if you will, what a far different nation the United States would be had not the Republicans been around to block the Democrats’ efforts.

Of course, much of this occured before I was born, and/or most of these things were done by Republicans I was too young to vote for. But still, the things detailed in this list were an outrage, and I thank G-d that most of the attempts were blocked and that those politicians who suggested them were defeated.

Still, I feel ashamed that such things were even suggested in the United States of America. If you have any morals, scruples, or plain common decency, you will feel ashamed too, whatever party you claim as your own.

Pat Robertson... Again!

But this time, he's right!

Robertson Finds Radical Muslims 'Satanic'

Television evangelist Pat Robertson said Monday on his live news-and-talk program "The 700 Club" that Islam is not a religion of peace, and that radical Muslims are "satanic."

... These people are crazed fanatics, and I want to say it now: I believe it's motivated by demonic power. It is satanic and it's time we recognize what we're dealing with."

Robertson also said that "the goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen, whether you like it or not, is world domination."

Monday's comments were similar to remarks he made on his program in 2002, when he said Islam "is not a peaceful religion that wants to coexist. They want to coexist until they can control, dominate and then, if need be, destroy."

Monday's comments are similar to remarks made by me, right here.

This is mohammed, the prophet of doom. Evil leader of the death cult known as islam. Killer and rapist. Child molester. May he rot in hell.

Another Naked Moonbat Moment

In keeping with the liberal policy of using any excuse whatsoever to force regular people to look at their naked bodies, twelve over-forty men and two teenagers took a stand against the war by riding semi-naked through the streets of Tampa yesterday, holding signs that said: "No Iraqi died to fuel this body, George," and "Torture is not an American value, George."

It was part of the World Naked Bike Ride, except the good city of Tampa enforced a "g-string policy" that made them cover up their genitals.

Organizer John Palm, pictured below preparing for his ride, said "We don't want to do anything offensive. We're just riding naked. That's all."

John, hate to tell you but, your scrawny naked body is offensive. Ain't there no Gold's Gym nearby?

Illegal Aliens March On Chicago

"Si, se puede!" was the cry of the crowd in Chicago today -- "Yes, we can!" Thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens and their supporters gathered in Union Park, then marched down Jackson Street to The Loop. Jamming the plaza, as well as the surrounding streets and sidewalks, they rallied to cheer on those who had come to speak.

They demanded legalization for all immigrants. They patted each other on the back for working hard and having dreams. They lauded politicians who devote themselves to representing "the people," which evidently, in their minds, includes "the people" who have come here illegally and don't get to vote. They demanded justice. They jeered HR4437, the House bill passed last December that would make coming here illegally a criminal offense, rather than a civil one, that calls for a fence on the border, and that would penalize anyone who hires and/or helps someone to come or stay here illegally.

Mayor Daley even got up to add his support, which made no sense:

"Don't let anyone tell you you're an immigrant," he shouted. "We're all immigrants!"

???

"Si, se puede!" Yes we can WHAT, one wonders?

Yes we can...make demands of the government, even though we're here illegally? Yes we can...break your laws then demand to not only not be penalized, but to be rewarded for it? Yes we can...take taxpayer-funded services like education and healthcare, and in exchange we'll drive down wages and refuse to assimilate? Yes we can...shout loud enough about our civil rights that the politicians will forget that civil rights are, by definition, for citizens?

Watching these people flood the streets of Chicago today, shouting angrily for what is not theirs to ask, let alone demand, I listened. Amid the shouts of "Si, se puede!" and among the signs and banners calling for legalization and guest worker programs, I listened.

I listened for an answer from within myself and found that, walking along with these thousands of people cheering and yelling and demanding, my answer hadn't changed.

No, you can't.

Vignettes From The Reconquista

I noticed this lady was crying so I asked permission to snap a photo and then asked why she was crying. She informed me that she had been working with "these folks" for a number of years and she wanted them to feel at home here.

Let me start by saying this was a very nice lady, she truly was. I'm sure those who know her would say she has an enormous heart.

But she's an idiot and indicative of a phenomena I noticed along the marches path. Upper crust white women lined the path and had a look on their faces I can only describe as a mother watching her child. It was a species of pride that galled my soul.

It was almost unbelievably arrogant, but arrogance cloaked in compassion. And this type of empty headed compassion is killing this country. We can't allow every person on the planet to enter so where do we draw the line?

While attending the illegal immigrant reconquista march today I made a point of stopping every so often and chatting with observers.

Which leads us inexorably to our second vignette. I came upon a bank where most of employees had gathered on a raised brick planter to watch the march pass by. A gentleman in his mid-thirties stood nearest the end where I hopped up to join him.

I asked him his thoughts on the march. He replied that he thought it was great, that these people definitely deserved to hold a march like this. He was waxing quite eloquent when he uttered an oopsie. He went on to say that we should welcome everybody.

I queried, somewhat astonished, everyone on the planet? It was fascinating to me to watch his facial expressions cycle through surprise to astonishment. I honestly don't think he'd ever thought it through before, that we can't welcome every person on the planet no matter how much the president might want to. My interviewee had just bumped nose first into a hard reality. I noticed over and over how many people merely recited cant whenever you asked them questions about immigration, nation of immigrants, immigration has always been good, etc., etc., etc.

Yet if you followed up and began asking hard questions such as "well, should we just allow a couple of billion people to move here then?" Their eyes would get big and they'd stammer for a bit before saying no. I'd ask, so where do you draw the line? They never had a cogent answer.

I think that really sums up the public debate on immigration in America today. We want to be a nation of immigrants, yet realize this may no longer be possible as it was in the past.

A young black gentlemen provided a slightly different take. When I asked him his thoughts on the march he at first tried to avoid answering but I kept at it and finally he allowed that he thought it was a good thing. Again, that they should be allowed to march, then he uttered his own oopsie. He said he thought they should be allowed to march because they came from a poor country. When I pointed out that in terms of the whole world Mexico was actually a fairly rich country with a decent standard of living compared to many countries he was literally dumbstruck.

If today's march taught me anything it was just this. In terms of the average Jane and Joe American, the two biggest enemies proponents of sane immigration policies face are rank ignorance and romantic notions.

Immigration: An Ending And A Beginning

We've been posting about the march and rally supporting ILLEGAL immigration in Chicago today. I've really been thinking about a feeling I had as we were fighting our way out of the crowd of 100,000+. We spent about 40 minutes pushing through half a city block of the throng to make our way to public transportation.

As we finally made it through the shouting, chanting horde, we turned the corner to walk past Berghoff, which sadly shut its doors at the end of last month. For those not familiar with Chicago, Berghoff was a traditional, family-run German restaurant, an institution famous for holding the first liquor license issued by the city after Prohibition ended.

Gazing into the darkened windows of the restaurant, I felt a real sense of something ending and something beginning. Many who disagree with me on the need to fight ILLEGAL immigration often bring up our country's history of immigration and diversity, as if I am somehow maligning them by speaking out against ILLEGAL immigration.

One of the things I love most about Chicago, my favorite city and current home, is the great diversity of its residents and neighborhoods. Berghoff embodied how immigration is supposed to work in my mind. It honored the traditions of its owners' cultural history while celebrating the opportunities and freedoms of America.

That is what I did not see much of in the crowd today, and certainly did not hear from the speakers who egged them on to demand legalization and denounce HR4437. As I listened to Gutierrez and Daley and Blagojevich, I did not hear an enticement to become Americans in any real sense.

What I heard was a call to demand rights and opportunities that have to be earned. These are precious gifts bestowed upon those who are born here, and those who come here legally. They are most certainly not something to be unrightfully demanded or stolen by those who would disrespect this country and its citizens by those who choose to come, stay, and work here ILLEGALLY.

What I saw today was a defiant mission to impose a mass of people, their culture, and their language on another country. There were many claims of loving America, but talk is cheap. It is your actions that truly speak. If anyone loves this country, they will show it by their efforts to make it a better place. Since when do lawlessness, a constant breech of national security, and economic and cultural destruction make this a better place?

I love this country. I embrace and appreciate our melting pot of cultures and traditions. But our country only works when our country and its citizens come first. I would never ask another nation to put the interests of America before their own -- it's ridiculous!

It makes me angry and sad when people come here ILLEGALLY and demand that of America.

Purim Parody Carnival

Happy Purim! Click the pic and enjoy the best of the Jewish Blogosphere...

From Aish.com:

The official "Jewish day of laughter" is Purim. We get dressed up in funny costumes and act silly -- which is surprising since the Purim story is all about an impending annihilation of the Jewish people!

But then the story turns upside down. The Jews went from being the target of annihilation, to being the heroes and victors. Haman is hung and the Jewish people are rescued. It was a miraculous 180-degree shift in fortune. One who thought he was in danger and suddenly discovers he's safe laughs aloud in relief. One who thought he lived alone in a hostile world and suddenly discovers that God is really there laughs aloud in joy.

Human beings see the world from a finite perspective. Since we're tied to the physical world by our bodies, we're forced to live with the illusion of what we perceive.

Laughter is an opportunity to transcend limitations that blind us to seeing God more clearly. Even when things look bad, even if we're suffering, in some way it has got to be all for the best, because there's a beneficent God behind everything, manipulating events for our good.

And that's the story of the Jewish people.

The Talmud says that in the times of the Messiah, "THEN our mouths will be filled with laughter." Why then and not now? Because today, the world is beset by jealousy, greed, violence, intolerance and fraud. We are suspicious of our neighbors and cynical of our leaders. We are manipulative and seek advantage at the expense of others. Rather than cooperate, we compete.

But in the Messianic era, all that will turn around. As the prophet says: "The lamb will lie down with the lion ... and young children will play at the cobra's nest" (Isaiah 11:6). At that time, when all truth is revealed, "THEN our mouths will be filled with laughter."

If we were truly clear on the idea that the only real power in the world is God, we wouldn't have nearly as much worry and anxiety. With trust in God, we would be fully relaxed. So we need a good laugh in order to loosen up, forget our anxieties -- and break down our walls. Then we can reaffirm our belief that God's world is good, and everything will work out.

Palestine's Mother of the Year

Arab mother Um Nidal, is also known as Mariam Farahat, and she became famous when she was filmed bidding her 17-year-old son Mohammed farewell to die through a terrorist attack. She ordered him "not to return except as a shahid [martyr for Allah]." Ordering one son to die was not enough, Um sent three of her sons to die and murder others in the process.

When a mother orders three of her children to kill themselves and to kill innocent civilians with them, what better candidate could you have to help run the new Palestinian government?

Today, Mariam Farahat, is part of the Palestinian parliament and she has this to say to mothers everwhere:

Umm Nidal on raising children:

Ever since [my son] Muhammad was a little boy, he carried and used a weapon. This was natural for him. It is not that he all of a sudden took up a weapon, carried out operations, and so on. This was a gradual process for him, ever since he was little.

Umm Nidal on sibling rivalry:

There was an operation that was about to take place - the same operation that he eventually carried out. [My eldest son] Nidal, may he rest in peace, said to me: "I want to give this operation to my brother Muhammad." He insisted on this because he loved Muhammad very much. He chose him. He chose him for the operation over the rest of the guys. Some of the guys were even a little mad at him for not considering them for this operation, but he said: "By Allah, this operation leads to Paradise, and I will choose nobody but my brother."

Umm Nidal on what boys want:

Allah be praised, we have thousands of young men. They all yearn for martyrdom for the sake of Allah. Some of them even cry when they do not get the chance to commit martyrdom. As long as we have such determination, we will prevail, Allah willing.

Umm Nidal on the meaning of life:

We believe in the faith charted for us by Allah, and believe that if someone is destined to die, he will die, even if he hides in a crate - but why shouldn't we take the initiative and die as martyrs? There is an abyss between one form of dying and the other. So why shouldn't we choose martyrdom? Allah has chosen us, from among all people, and has bestowed upon us the honor of Jihad in the front line of Palestine. So it is all the more fitting for us to initiate martyrdom, before death reaches us while we sit at home.

and finally, Umm Nidal's message to all the Muslim mothers, who want to raise their sons, and hope they will attain worldly things, university degrees, luxurious palaces, and fancy cars:

A Muslim mother should raise her children on prayer, good deeds, and, of course, on Jihad, which is one of the duties on which we should raise our children.

Jihad in Islam is a duty that one cannot forego. It is like any other religious duty. If we understand the true meaning of Islam, the notion of Jihad will be included among the Islamic duties, and in Palestine - an individual duty. If we are remiss in this duty, we sin.

Kinda makes you feel all warm and mushy inside, don't it?

RIP Tom Fox

So, the brave and admirable "freedom fighters" that Tom Fox went to Iraq to nurture, support and protect first tortured him, then killed him, and dumped his bound and bullet-riddled body beside a Baghdad railway. I guess we can be grateful that he was shot, and not beheaded.

Siding with the terrorists in this war didn't save his life.

Basically, Tom died of terminal appeasement. There is a lesson to be learned from his death.

Don't miss Six Meat Buffet's most execellent post: A Tale of Two Deaths. It is, hands down, the best I have read, anywhere.

Slobodan Milosevic is Dead

Belgrade. Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic has died, the UN tribunal said on Saturday, the Serbian Radio B92 reported Saturday.

"Milosevic was found lifeless on his bed in his cell at the United Nations detention unit," the tribunal said in a statement.

"The guard immediately alerted the detention unit officer in command and the medical officer. The latter confirmed that Slobodan Milosevic was dead."

The tribunal said the Dutch police and a Dutch coroner were called in and started an inquiry. A full autopsy and toxicological examination have been ordered. Milosevic's family has been informed, it added.

Milosevic, 64, suffered a heart condition and high blood pressure which had repeatedly interrupted his trial in the Hague on charges of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes during the bloody disintegration of Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

Help lock her up for life

THE SENTENCING WAS SCHEDUILED FOR TODAY, BUT THE JUDGE HAS POSTPONED IT. YOU CAN HELP LYNNE STEWART RECEIVE THE MAXIMUM SENTENCE ALLOWED FOR HER CRIMES AGAINST AMERICA BUT YOU GOTTA DO IT NOW!!!!!!

Too many of us complain about the ease in which the liberal left commits treason to this county, and the ease in which they get away with their treason. Now is a real opportunity to say your piece on this issue and make a difference in how the law treats this traitor to all we hold dear. Pick up your pens, dammit, and do something! Tell your friends and have them do it too.

On February 10, 2005, Lynne Stewart was convicted of helping terrorists by smuggling messages of violence from one of her imprisoned clients -- a radical Egyptian sheik -- to his terrorist disciples on the outside.

Lynn Stewart was convicted of providing material support, through a press conference and allowing access by her translator, to a terrorist conspiracy to kill persons outside of the United States and conspiring to defraud the U.S. government when acting as counsel to Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind Egyptian cleric who was convicted in 1996 of plotting terrorist attacks against various sites in the New York City area.

Lynn was recorded bragging about her skills as an actress which she used to fool the prison guards into believing she was a lawyer instead of a terrorist, saying, "I can get an award for it" which was translated to the Sheikh: "She is saying, Your Eminence, that she can get an award for acting (all three laugh).

"The September 11 terrorist attacks on America were an "armed struggle" like Hiroshima and Dresden. I have a lot of trouble figuring out why that is wrong, especially when people are placed in a position of having no other way." Lynne Stewart

That's just the tip of the iceberg. This woman is truly an enemy of America. In her own words:

"I don't have any problem with Mao or Stalin or the Vietnamese leaders or certainly Fidel locking up people they see as dangerous. Because so often, dissidence has been used by the greater powers to undermine a people's revolution." Lynne Stewart

and during her trial:

"To rid ourselves of the entrenched, voracious type of capitalism that is in this country that perpetuates sexism and racism, I don't think that can come nonviolently." Lynne Stewart

"I don’t believe in anarchistic violence, but in directed violence. That would be violence directed at the institutions which perpetuate capitalism, racism, and sexism, and the people who are the appointed guardians of those institutions, and accompanied by popular support." Lynne Stewart

You can help lock Lynne up for life by writing the Judge and asking him to show no leniency to Lynne Stewart for her crimes and asking him to impose the maximum sentence allowed for plotting with terrorists.

The Judge's address is:

Honorable John G. Koeltl
United States District Judge
Southern District of New York
United States Courthouse
500 Pearl Street
New York, New York 10007

Briefly say who you are - your position in work and in society. State that you are aware that Lynne is to be sentenced following a jury verdict of guilty on charges of crimes against America. Tell the Judge why you believe she should be made an example of, and not given any leniency whatsoever. Feel free to remind the Judge of who she by using the quotes above.

Send a copy of your letter to the lawyers who prosecuted Lynne, so they can present them all to the Judge at sentencing time, they will have the maximum impact as he considers the matter:

Joseph E. Bianco, Esq.
Christopher T. Morvillo, Esq.
Assistant United States Attorneys
Southern District of New York
United States Attorney's Office
One St. Andrews Plaza
New York, NY 10007

I say let Justice be served:

Just a suggestion...

I'm surprised!

The Washington Post has a poll:

As the war in Iraq grinds into its fourth year, a growing proportion of Americans are expressing unfavorable views of Islam, and a majority now say that Muslims are disproportionately prone to violence, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

So. What's surprising about that is:

The poll found that nearly half of Americans -- 46 percent -- have a negative view of Islam, seven percentage points higher than in the tense months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, when Muslims were often targeted for violence.

Nearly half? Hmph. I guess the other half missed this.

How low can she go?

I can’t believe THIS:

"I'm not doing this for Casey. Casey's already dead. I wish I would have done it for Casey before he was killed." - Cindy Sheehan

Of course she's not doing it for Casey. Mother Sheehan has already gone through Casey’s $250,000 insurance payout like a drunken sailor on shore leave, but her poor son doesn’t even have a marker on his grave.

…Cindy Sheehan recently “treated herself” to a brand new Volkswagen Beetle convertible. She still can’t be bothered to buy a grave marker for her son, though.

What kind of mother would leave her son to lie in an unmarked grave? This has to be one of the worst things I have ever heard. It makes me want to cry.

An Awesome Farewell

An update on Army SGT Rickey Jones, who was killed in action Feb. 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during patrol operations in Hawijah, Iraq. You will remember reading about the "brave dissenters" who expressed their "support for our Troops" by vandalizing his family home and telephoning his parents.

SGT Rickey Jones graduated from Kokomo High School in the class of 2002 and I found this thread by someone I assume is a student at KHS on The Official Black Label Society, it was linked to my earlier post:

That is from my schools website.

Today we went out in the cold and rain to honor Kokomo's fallen soldier on US 31. There were about 50 of us all with flags and some with a big flag. When the procession started at about 11 am it didn't get over til about 11: 45 am. There were over 500 cars, 100 motorcycles(Patriot Guard Riders), and 10 to 20 military vehicles. Govenor Daniels was there along with the mayor of our town. I think I saw general, as well. Its was about 30 degrees, windy and rainy. Luckily the "Westboro Baptist Church" didn't show up, either. It was a good experiance and the people looked at us, and knew we cared.

Thank you Kokomo High School! Ya done good!

Do you hear what I hear?

In what can only be called a spectacularly impotent and annoying display, moonbats around the world will commence to wailing today to protest the war.

Lead by Australian Kerry "Whiner" Bowden, and sponsored by colorful groups such as Code Pink and the Women in Black, these moonbats will commence to whining and wailing today to protest the war. Kerry will read whine out her wailing poem at dawn today, and post the film on her website.

Near as I can tell, the event is based upon a promise "Granma Kerry" made to her grandchild, to make the world a better place.

"Unfortunately it is no longer just your family that decides your future - some of the so called leaders of the world are deciding your future.

At this time in history - this frightens me greatly. So much so that I now make this promise to you

I will work the rest of my life to make it a better world for you, by your 15th birthday in the year 2015. To do this I must work to make it a better world for all children not just you.

My gift to you to mark your birth on the November 30th 2000 at the Nambour Hospital on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia - is the above promise."

Six years later and all Granma can think of to bring this promise to fruition is to set a bunch of moonbats to wailing?

Yo Granma, whine if you want but when you're done, why don't you get off your ass and do something about pollution, violence, children who can't read, housebound elderly people, litter in the street, the homeless. Why don't you head into the inner city, and help teach some kids to read? Cook for the hungry? Help the homeless? Visit the housebound? Pick up some litter in the street? Run a clothing drive?

All the whining in the world ain't gonna fix a damn thing.

Let 'em eat pancakes

The Rachel Corrie Memorial Committee of Victoria Invites you to a pancake breakfast at Denny's Restaurant Sunday March 12 , 2006 10 am to celebrate the squishing of Rachel Corrie, Peace Activist with the International Solidarity Movement.

I'll pass, thanks, and perhaps spend the day thinking about a few other Rachels, all of whom were murdered by Rachel Corrie's friends:

Rachel Thaler, 16, was enjoying dinner with her
14-year old brothers and friends at an Israeli
pizzeria when a palestinian bomber detonated
himself at the restaurant.

Rachel Levi, 19, murdered when a Palestinian
rammed a bus into a crowded Israel bus stop,
killing Rachel and five others on February 14, 2001.

Rachel Levy, 17, was a high-school student
who was killed when a Palestinian suicide
bomber detonated herself at an Israeli supermarket.
Her death came on the heels of the death of Rachel's
cousin once month earlier in a terrorist shooting.

Rachel Charhi, 36, was killed when a
Palestinian terrorist detonated himself in a
café in Israel on April 4, 2002.

Rachel Gavish, 50, was murdered by a Palestinian
terrorist who infiltrated her home in Israel,
shooting dead Rachel, her husband David,
her son and Rachel's father.

Rachel Kol, 53, who worked for 20 years
in the neurology lab at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital,
was murdered with her husband in a drive-by shooting by the Fatah.
al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, in July 2005 (in the midst of a
supposed Palestinian truce)

Rachel Ben Abu, 16, killed with her teenage friends by a suicide
bomber at the Netanya shopping mall, in July 2005 (in the midst
of a supposed Palestinian truce)

Rachel Shabo, 40, (top right) and three of her sons
were murdered on June 20, 2002 when a Palestinian
terrorist entered the family home and opened fire.

The Rachel Corrie Round-up is here, and here is a list of other murders by Rachel Corrie's friends.

Thirty-Six Years Ago Today

March 6, 1970 at 11:55 a.m.

Three members of the radical activist group known as the Weather Underground, Diana Oughton, Ted Gold and Terry Robbins, blew themselves straight to hell. The bomb they were making was intended to blow up a dance, a dance held at Fort Dix. Had they been better bomb-makers, instead of killing themselves, they would have killed an untold number of American soldiers. All in the name of peace.

Luckily, the Weathermen's expertise at bomb-making left much to be desired.

The Weathermen's hatred of the United States manifested itself in the bombings of the U.S. Capitol building, New York City Police Headquarters, the Pentagon, and the National Guard offices in Washington, D.C. The Weathermen's leader, Bill Ayers summed up the Weathermen's ideology as follows: "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents."

The Weathermen were radicals. They wanted their people to get involved, demonstrate, get arrested and force change down the throat of the "establishment." They fought at the Democratic Presidential Convention in 1968 and converged in Chicago in 1969 for an event that came to be known as "Days of Rage." The more violent extremists during that era were responsible for a score of bombings in places like Harvard University, various corporate headquarters and a number of government institutions. They praised Charles Manson and freed Dr. Timothy Leary from prison. Wherever there was violence and chaos in the name of dissent, the Weathermen were there.

Meet Bernadine Dohrn, leader of the Weather Underground:

IMG: Dohrn mugshotAt a "War Council" in Flint, Michigan in 1969, their leader Bernardine Dohrn praised the serial murderer Charles Manson: "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim's stomach. Wild." She then proclaimed that the time had come to launch the war against "Amerikkka" (the Weathermen always spelled America this way) and to form a Weather Underground to carry out terrorist activities.

The Weathermen claimed credit for 25 bombings over the next several years. They set bombs at the rebuilt Haymarket statue; a bathroom at the Pentagon; the Capitol barber shop; the New York City police headquarters; and a variety of other targets.

Dohrn's husband, Bill Ayers confessed that the bomb that killed the aforementioned Weather Underground members in New York was an anti-personnel weapon filled with nails and screws that would have killed or injured many at the Fort Dix dance. Ayers has recently, publicly acknowledged his feeling that his group should, in his opinion, have set off even more bombs.

For those of you who might be wondering where the rest of the Weathermen are, you need only look to our Universities, Bar Associations, and, the ACLU. That’s right. The ACLU. The unrepentant Dohrn is currently a law professor at Northwestern University. She also serves on the Board of the American Civil Liberties Union and committees of the American Bar Association. Her husband, and co-leader of the Weathermen Bill Ayers, is now Professor of Education at the University of Illinois.

Dohrn, Ayers and other members of the Weather Underground are currently under investigation in connection with a police officer killed by a bomb in 1970.

If they are indicted, they will likely have some trouble finding a lawyer, Ramsey Clark is busy in Iraq, and Lynne Stewart, who has represented other members of the Weather Underground, was convicted of helping terrorists by smuggling messages of violence from one of her imprisoned clients -- the radical Egyptian sheik behind the 1993 WTC Bombing-- to his terrorist disciples on the outside.

Too bad for them because Lynn has been a strong supporter of terrorists since she began her career as a lawyer, Lynne loves representing terrorists of the home grown variety only slightly less than she likes representing the imported islamic variety.

On March 10, 2006, Lynne Stewart will be sentenced. You can help Lynne receive the maximum sentence allowed for her crimes against America but you gotta do it now, time is running out. You can make a difference. Click here.

Oh, and by the way... Weather Underground member Susan Rosenberg, implicated in the Nyack robbery, and Linda Evans, at different times wanted on a number of criminal charges, were apprehended carrying 740 pounds of explosives in 1985. Both acknowledged that the explosives were to be used to carry out additional bombings. Rosenberg was given 58 years in prison, Evans 40.

President Bill Clinton, in two of a number of highly suspicious late-term pardons, pardoned both women.

Abolish The EOIR!
By Juan Mann

There is a dangerous misconception lurking in America’s growing public consciousness about immigration law enforcement. From the man on the street to the halls of Congress, the fatal error persists in the belief that if only current immigration laws were just enforced, the illegal alien invasion of these United States would be over for good.

All would be well if we put the legal mechanisms in place into effect . . . right?

Wrong.

Few Americans even recognize that there’s any problem at all with HOW the federal government goes about deporting illegal aliens and criminal alien residents. Securing the Arizona desert was a piece of cake in comparison—remember that the volunteer Minuteman Project showed the world that they could do it in a month!

So what’s the problem?

It’s too many lawyers, too much litigation and a four-letter word called EOIR.

The problem that hides in plain sight in the current immigration "catch and release" controversy is the litigation bureaucracy of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

The EOIR is a little-known federal agency within the U.S. Department of Justice. It comprises the nationwide U.S. Immigration Court system and its appellate body, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) in Falls Church, Virginia. The EOIR is the centerpiece of a largely unknown de facto stealth permanent amnesty and non-deportation program for illegal aliens and criminal alien residents.

  • The hidden truth about the EOIR is that America’s deportation process for illegal aliens and criminal alien residents is designed for failure. What starts out as deportation becomes perpetual litigation - and relatively few deportable aliens ever leave.
  • Other than the few summary removal provisions implemented at ports of entry, the deportation of foreign nationals in the United States is largely voluntary.
  • With the complicity of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the EOIR litigation bureaucracy forms the concealed piece in the puzzle of institutionalized mass immigration sponsorship by the federal government.

  • The lengthy EOIR system of hearings and appeals enables illegal aliens and criminal alien residents to remain in the United States both legally and illegally for years, often in perpetuity.
  • The EOIR and the DHS bureaucracy enable thousands of detained aliens facing deportation to be released back to the streets on an immigration bond or paroled out of federal custody during the EOIR hearing process - giving them the option of disappearing back into the United States regardless of the outcome of their Immigration Court hearings.
  • The lack of physical security on the land border exposes the EOIR process for the charade that it is. Deported aliens just walk back in.
  • The EOIR literally makes a federal case out of every illegal alien and criminal alien resident in deportation proceedings by offering a litigation gateway to the federal circuit courts of appeal, and, sometimes, even to the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • With endless available options for filing appeals and motions available to a competent immigration lawyer, EOIR hearings and appeals are never really over until the alien wins.
  • Considering the never-ending nature of federal litigation, as well as the laundry list of relief from deportation available in Immigration Court, EOIR "removal" proceedings are really "get to stay" proceedings.
  • [...]
Although alleged to be a system for determining whether particular illegal aliens and criminal alien residents are deportable under the law, in reality the EOIR hearing system is designed to give aliens a mechanism to apply for relief from removal and remain in the United States. The EOIR’s immigration judges routinely award "green cards" (lawful permanent resident status) to illegal aliens through adjustment of status, and also allow convicted criminal aliens to remain in the United States.

While virtually unknown in the major media, the EOIR is the four-letter word of federal immigration policy.

EOIR litigation represents the livelihood of thousands of immigration lawyers, whose interests are represented by their nationwide lobbying group, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). The country's over 200 EOIR immigration judges earn from $109,587 to $142,500 per year, plus generous federal benefits.

The bottom line for America’s taxpayers is that the EOIR is just one more monumental waste of government resources. The EOIR unnecessarily formalizes simple review processes that already are entrusted to specially-trained (and most likely lesser-paid) federal employees including consular officers, district adjudications officers, immigration inspectors, special agents, immigration agents, deportation officers and asylum officers all over the country and the world.

A system dedicated to giving formal hearings and appeals for even previously-deported illegal aliens and criminal aliens is a system begging to be abolished - if only immigration reformers in Congress knew it existed.

So after twenty years of fostering federal litigation instead of deportation, it is high time that the EOIR's specific functions be parceled out to federal law enforcement personnel already in the Department of Homeland Security who can do the job of deporting illegal aliens and criminal alien residents.

In reality, the EOIR litigation bureaucracy is the antithesis of real homeland security. As a deportation system, the EOIR is designed to fail, and it does. But as a machine for facilitating mass immigration, the EOIR is a raging success.

    WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?

Peter Brimelow, editor of VDARE.com, identified the solution in so many words in his 1995 book, Alien Nation—Common sense about America’s Immigration Disaster (page 260). According to Brimelow:

"Deportation procedures, for both legal and illegal aliens, should be streamlined, and criminal aliens automatically deported. . . .

U.S. immigration law has already been significantly weakened by activist judges. But there is nothing sacred about a wrongheaded ruling. The answer is to pass another law. When Americans do seize control of their immigration policy again, it will inevitably take the form of an epic clash between legislative and judicial branches."

So how does Congress go about creating a process to actually deport aliens?

    Here are the nuts-and-bolts details:

  • Take away the EOIR’s jurisdiction piece-by-piece in a move towards abolishing the EOIR’s nationwide U.S. Immigration Court system and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Institute summary removal of all illegal aliens and pre-determined classes of criminal alien residents by federal immigration officers without judicial review.
  • Abolish all stealth amnesty adjustment of status provisions that reward law-breaking (as well as all discretionary "second chances" for criminal aliens) in the Immigration and Nationality Act that are currently administered by the EOIR.
  • Eliminate the immigration benefit fraud magnet of U.S.-based asylum processing at DHS asylum offices run by its Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) division. Create a system where all asylum processing is done exclusively at U.S. Consulates abroad, or by the U.S. State Department for those countries where the U.S. does not have a consular presence.
  • Eliminate non-immigrant visa-jumping from one category to another, as well as adjustments from non-immigrant to lawful permanent resident status for aliens already in the United States. All aliens wishing an adjustment of status or change of status should be required to exit the United States and receive a valid visa at a U.S. Consulate abroad, in order to make another lawful entry into the United States. Upon reentry, all applicants must then be able to satisfy the requirements for admissibility to the United States once again, including the unlawful presence grounds of Immigration Act Section 212(a)(9).
  • The most expedient strategy for handling the EOIR litigation bureaucracy and the candy store of immigration benefits it administers (such as asylum and adjustments of status) comes from the playbook of General Colin Powell. It’s the same plan he used for the Iraqi army in 1991—"first we’re going to cut it off, and then we’re going to kill it."

    The EOIR is already marooned.

It is an orphaned agency. Ensconced in Falls Church, Virginia, the EOIR oversees a nationwide Immigration Court system and a Byzantine appellate body, the Board of Immigration Appeals. With the INS abolished and cast out of the Department of Justice, the EOIR now represents a complete mismatch among remaining DOJ agencies, including the FBI, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service and the United States Attorneys.

In the deportation abyss of EOIR litigation, attorneys haggle over "orders of deportation," while over 300,000 fugitives from those orders and as many as 20 million illegal aliens [as estimated by Bear Stearns—PDF] remain loose on the streets.

In short, the EOIR process is the major reason that the federal government remains paralyzed in confronting the millions of illegal aliens and criminal alien residents running free in the United States, despite the supposed intent of policy, and the existence of at least somewhat appropriate laws.

Congress can threaten to "close the border" all it wants, but as long as the EOIR remains in place, all is well for open borders. The system will remain sabotaged behind the scenes.

If the borders are hemorrhaging illegal aliens every day, and there is no reasonably efficient process in place to detain and summarily deport foreign nationals who do not belong on our shores, no one is going to be leaving anytime soon . . . and more aliens will keep coming.

The damage created by the EOIR on federal immigration policy is a scandal of monumental proportions. But so far, the first journalist to call for the EOIR to be abolished was Michelle Malkin. She wrote as much in her book, Invasion (pages 232-33):

"End deportation delays: Abolish the EOIR and BIA—The most under-recognized obstacle to deporting illegal aliens is the shadowy immigration court system and it unaccountable appellate body, which routinely puts aliens’ rights over citizens’ safety. Attorney General John Ashcroft should abolish the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals and transfer their functions to existing law enforcement officers within the immigration bureaucracy."

The EOIR is just another example of criminals’ "rights" being expanded and glorified to overwhelm an entire law enforcement process. Under current federal law, all illegal aliens and criminal alien residents have the "right" to a hearing before an EOIR immigration judge, as well as the "right" to appeal their case to the BIA—and then on to the federal courts . . . and back-and-forth almost indefinitely. That’s the problem with expecting to expel illegal aliens and convicted foreign criminals from our country through litigation. It just doesn’t work.

But even though the mainstream media has maintained strict radio silence about the EOIR, the truth about the EOIR bureaucracy manages to leak out one illegal alien at a time.

As aliens benefiting from the EOIR’s "catch and release" process continue to wreak havoc on America, slowly but surely the picture comes into focus . . . that the EOIR bureaucracy is a detriment to the "homeland security" mission of immigration law enforcement.
    [...]
Just as building a physical barrier is absolutely necessary to stop illegal immigration across the southern border, summary removal of illegal aliens and criminal alien residents is the silver bullet for real immigration reform.

Legislation expanding summary removal and taking jurisdiction away from the EOIR would be a laser-guided missile down the main air conditioning vent of America’s entrenched non-deportation system. Abolishing the EOIR through summary removal would be the vampire-repelling garlic to ward off the legions of AILA lawyers making a living from federal immigration litigation.

Summary removal of illegal aliens by federal officers, with the cooperation of state and local law enforcement, would upset the existing rigged immigration litigation apple cart by simply kicking illegal aliens and convicted criminal alien residents out of the country.

[ER editor's note: The EOIR, and the laws that are supposed to uphold our immigration process are irrevocably broken. It's not the sexiest of topics, but it's important to know that we can't just talk about "enforcing our current immigration laws" without fully realizing that there is a revolving back door that completely undermines our laws. How many times have you heard somebody grumble that illegals know our laws better than WE do? It's true! They know how to work the system and milk it for all it's worth. Nevertheless, it's our concern, and our duty to become more aware, even though the topic itself may be kind of "dry". To learn more about issues concerning the EOIR, go here for a comprehensive wrap-up, including the following subjects:

  • THE CASE FOR SUMMARY REMOVAL
  • FEDERAL COURT MEDDLING IN IMMIGRATION LITIGATION
  • REINSTATEMENT OF REMOVAL STRUCK DOWN
  • SAVING THE IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY ACT
  • EXPEDITED REMOVAL PROVISIONS SHELVED
  • EXISTING ALTERNATIVES TO EOIR LITIGATION
  • DISMANTLING EOIR JURISDICTION PIECE-BY-PIECE
  • [/editor's note]

The Department of Justice’s EOIR is the power behind the scenes in immigration law enforcement and the greatest obstacle to real immigration reform in the federal government. The EOIR is the legal bureaucracy that regulates, and in effect cripples, the deportation of illegal aliens and criminal alien residents in the United States.

Summary removal, not EOIR litigation, should be the future of immigration law enforcement.
    [...]
In analyzing the entire jurisdiction of the EOIR piece by piece—reviewing all types of relief from removal—every single component is already accomplished by other federal government divisions. And if not already covered, the particular form of relief could be easily moved out of the country for overseas adjudication, or abolished outright as being an ill-conceived reward for criminal behavior in the first place.

Summary removal in effect represents the other side of the coin from the "summary visas for all" impulse of the Bush Administration, exemplified by its ongoing drive for a non-deportation amnesty for existing illegal aliens under the guise of a "guest worker" or "temporary worker" program. By seeking to implement open-ended immigration status hand-out, the Bush Administration apparently sees nothing wrong with making a policy decision about which illegal aliens to let in the country, and then summarily carrying it out on a massive scale.

So why not do the same for summary removal?

We as a nation, through Congress as our policy-makers, should make a decision once and for all on which foreign nationals are going to be let into the country, who remains here, and who is going to be kicked out. Congress should overhaul the Immigration and Nationality Act and decide once and for all which clearly-defined classes of aliens to summarily prevent from entering the United States, as well as which clearly-defined classes of aliens to summarily deport from the United States.

Congress should make its decision, implement a summary process, and stick to it. No questions asked. No EOIR Immigration Court hearings. No redundant BIA review. No federal litigation.

Under the current state of affairs, the EOIR’s decides its own case-by-case personal "amnesties" being decided behind closed doors every day. Congress has abdicated its responsibility by leaving immigration policy to the whim of executive agency bureaucrats and power-hungry federal appellate courts to grant relief one case at a time to illegal aliens and criminal alien residents.

So rather than posturing about "closing the border," Congress should strike a blow for real immigration reform by abolishing the EOIR litigation bureaucracy once and for all.

    Define Paradise

Today is the third anniversary of the murders glorified and justified in the film "Paradise Now."

Paradise Now is a movie that attempts to explain away the actions behind mass-murderers. It legitimizes the murder of innocent people and portrays the murderers themselves as victims. Hundreds of innocent men, women and children have been murdered by "palestinian" suicide-murderers.

Paradise Now conveniently ends before the carnage begins. This is the end result of the bombing of Egged Bus No 37 in Haifa on March 5, 2003:

These are the real victims of the events portrayed in Paradise Now:

    Maryam Atar

    Smadar Firstater

    Kamar Abu Hamed

    Daniel Haroush

    Motti Hershko

    Tom Hershko

    Meital Katav

    Liz Katzman

    Tal Kehrmann

    Eliyahu Laham

    Abigail Litle

    Y.Mendellevich

    Be'eri Oved

    Mark Takash

    Asaf Zur

    Anatoly Biryakov

    Moran Shushan

Paradise Now has already been awarded the Golden Globe for glorifying the act of terrorism that took their lives. And tonight, on the third anniversary of their deaths, Hollywood will likely award Paradise Now with its highest honor, the Oscar.

Giving an Oscar to this movie will further glorify these murderers and the groups that have sent them. It will encourage more murder.

The first arab sponsored terrorist attack upon Jews occurred in 1920, long before the establishment of Israel and long before there were any so-called palestinians.

Eighty years later, the death toll from arab terrorism in Israel continues to grow. Where is the outrage?

You want to know what arab terrorism is really like? The film Three Days in Israel will sum it up for you in six minutes. Three Days in Israel is approximately six-minutes long and uses photos, video and text to show in no uncertain terms exactly what it is like after a terrorist attack.

Three Days in Israel shows you what Paradise Now refused to show you, the end result of evil. But it won't get an Oscar, or a Golden Globe award.

    Three Days In Israel.

It is not Paradise Now. Its hell.

    Spooky is Back

Wild thing reports that Spooky Is Back ~ 10,000 Rounds A Minute Baby:

During Vietnam, gunships destroyed more than 10,000 trucks and were credited with many life-saving close air support missions. AC-130s suppressed enemy air defense systems and attacked ground forces during Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada. This enabled the successful assault of Point Salines airfield via airdrop and airland of friendly forces.

Spooky is, well, spooky. You call it in when you don't give a fuck who's offended by your presence anymore.

Of course, the $64,000 question is... Al-Sadr or Ahmadinejad? Iraq or Iran? One or both?

Spooky has been to Iraq before, in November 2004 they helped our Troops clean up Fallujah. Its about time they returned, I've never backed the notion that our soldiers should be fighting in the streets in Iraq, nope, that makes no sense to me.

    The AP reports:

“It’s got tons of guns, and it’s got all kinds of stuff on it that can be applied to the problems you have,” Brig. Gen. Frank Gorenc, who refused to discuss the current AC-130 deployment, said in an AP interview.

That “stuff” includes “the ability to take these high-tech pods and to use them to find guys planting (bombs) and to find other nefarious activity,” he said.

Yes indeed, it looks like the gloves are coming off and the "insurgency" can look forward to a little fire under their ass. Its about time too.

    Letter Writing Request

Most of you have read about the "brave dissenters" who expressed their "support for our Troops" by vandalizing the home of Army SGT Rickey Jones, who was killed in action Feb. 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during patrol operations in Hawijah, Iraq. These "patriots" have actually called SGT Jones' family to tell them ‘I’m glad your son is dead.” If that wasn't enough for SGT Jones' family to deal with, Fred Phelps and his hatemongers will probably picket the funeral.

If you haven't heard about this, run on over and read what Emperor Misha has to say.

    Army SGT Rickey Jones

CJ at A Soldier's Perspective, is trying to help organize a letter writing campaign to the family of SGT Rickey Jones.

If you are as disgusted as I am and would like to write a letter to have delivered to this family, please email Lauren (MyWay716@aol.com) for more information. The good people over at Operation Military Pride are helping facilitate the delivery of these letters.

This family recently lost a son and shouldn’t have to deal with people like Fred Phelps and the people responsible for the egging of their home and irreverent phone calls. If you feel the same way I do, please email her and write this family a letter of support and love. Let them know that we appreciate their son’s service and mourn their loss. Let’s show them what America is really made of. This isn’t about whether or not you support the war. This is about common decency for a family that has suffered the ultimate sacrifice…having to bury a child. Thank you in advance. When this is over, I want the post office to have to hire new postmen just to handle the volume.

    Let's get it done!

    The Goat Bride

Feb 24, 2006 (MALAKAL) — A certain Mr Tombe was caught having an intimate relation with a goat belonging to a Mr Alifi at Hai Malakal — Upper Nile State, southern Sudan — on February 13. Tombe was ordered to pay the goat’s dowry and take the animal as his wife .

Mr Alifi said: “It was around midnight when Tombe came to do his nonsense on my goat, and I was already in bed inside my house. Suddenly , I heard the goat make a loud noise. Immediately, I rushed outside to find Mr Tombe was naked and engaged in a relation with my goat . When I asked him what are you doing there, he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up”.

Alifi then brought some elders to decide the fate of the goat defiler.

“They said I should not take him to the police , but rather let him pay a dowry for my goat because he used it as his wife.”

Mr Tombe agreed immediately to pay for the goat, and paid half the dowry 150,000 Sudanese dinars up front.

“We have given him the goat, and as far as we know , they are still together”, Mr Alifi concluded.

    Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Change the name of the book to "Saddam the Wolf" and this cartoon is as applicable now as it was then. Its true, the more things change, the more they remain the same. The left was as nuts back then as they are right now.

    ---------------------

In honor of Dr. Seuss, I thought I'd drag this out of the closet:

    MREs are Yummy - NOT!

We Do Not Like Them Uncle Sam
    "MREs. Yum. Not!"

A collection of Dr. Seuss' Political Cartoons can be found at Dr. Seuss Went to War: A Catalog of Political Cartoons

Here's an interesting tidbit: There are only 50 words in Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham." In 1960 Bennett Cerf bet Geisel $50 that he couldn't write an entire book using only fifty words. Green Eggs and Ham was result.

BTW... Cerf never paid the $50.

Kadima: Follow me to the Middle of Nowhere

I rarely post an entire article written by someone else, and rarely manage to post anything without some kind of running commentary from me. This is one of those rare occassions:

Kadima: Follow me to the Middle of Nowhere
    by Naomi Ragen
    March 01, 2006

During dinner one evening at the recent Herzlyia Conference I sat next to a well-fed local businessman, a man of middle-age with an expensive black suit and shiny black hair. We were there to hear Benjamin Netanyahu, so we got to talking politics. Are you going to vote for him? I asked. He shook his head no. "I'm going to vote for Kadima," he said, painting a straight line in the air with his finger. "Right down the middle."

"In what way," I asked him in surprise, "is Kadima in the middle?"

He looked at me blankly, astonished at the question.

Israelis love slogans. Come up with the right slogan, even if it makes no sense, if it's a total lie, and they will support anyone, and any cause. Sell them "Peace Now" wrapped up in little white doves, and they'll vote for that. And if instead they get exploding buses and pizza parlors, dead babies on the streets, they won't stop believing. They won't look back and say: "Gee, those politicians were incompetent liars, let's kick them out of office and keep them there. " Not at all. Come up with another slogan and the exact same politicians will get their vote again.

Take Shimon Peres, architect of Oslo. author of the "The New Middle East" which has to go down in history with "Peace in Our Time" as the political blooper of the century. Peres has a new slogan: Kadima! Peres is now "in the center."

Kadima is a great slogan. It's the cry of a general leading men on a battlefield. It means: Forward! Follow me! Don't look around at the fallen and dying all around you! Keep going. Don't look back! Never mind that it was founded by a controversial general known for his impulsiveness and determination - qualities sometimes helpful on the battlefield, but quite disastrous in matters of state.

Never mind that his greatest accomplishment in office, carried out with bulldozer determination, has in record time already proven an unmitigated disaster: The disengagement provided the Hamas with its successful campaign slogan:" Ten years of negotiation, five years of Intifada." Never mind that daily rockets now land in the Negev and Ashkelon and Ashdod and Sderot. Never mind that for the first time in our history the national consensus towards the IDF has begun to unravel. Never mind that. Kadima!

So the head of the party and its moving force is now incapacitated? Replace him! Never mind that Ehud Olmert was the worst Mayor Jerusalem ever had. A man whose coalition with the haredim turned the city into a filthy, poor backwater full of ugly high-rises. In between his own police investigations, Mr. Olmert has had a chance to totally change his political slogans with the times. He is a man who stands for nothing and has accomplished even less.
    But never mind that. Kadima!

Never mind that the Party has collected such Israeli political luminaries as Dalia Itzik, Haim Ramon, Ruhama Avraham, and Omri Sharon. Never mind that Tzachi Hanegbi now sits with them, and that Avi Dichter, a former head of intelligence, who said: "The numbers speak for themselves... it is clear that disengagement has decreased terror" is number five on their list. Never mind. Give them your vote. Kadima!

The Jews, the bible tells us, are a stiff-necked people. As everyone knows, when you have a stiff-neck, you can't turn around and look behind you. You have to face forward. Those voting Kadima can only do it if they stick with the slogans and don't check them against reality. If you turn around and look at where the party came from and who is in it, you, like my friend in Herzylia, would be astonished.

Why, you would ask yourself, would anyone vote for the biggest collection of losers in Israel's political history all gathered in one spot?

Brothers and sisters, we have a very little country. We have made so many, many mistakes. Isn't it time we stopped electing leaders who blindly put our women and children on the front lines against our enemies? Isn't it time we stopped listening to our not very intelligent journalists and TV news people, clueless leftists all? Isn't it time to look back before we jump over the cliff once more? Kadima is in the middle all right. In the middle of no where.

    Have you seen this man?

The Jawa Report tells us that the FBI has added a few terrorists to the Most Wanted Terrorists List. One of the additions to the list is Abd Al Aziz Awda.

It sure is strange that the FBI can't find Abd Al Aziz Awda, since after the Israeli Government's Disengagement and turnover of Gaza to the terrorist group Hamas, Abd Al-'Aziz Al'Awda has been welcomed him back to Gaza with open arms. Yes, Abd Al-'Aziz Al'Awda is now back in Gaza, living and preaching his hate in the open. It seems that everyone knows this, except the FBI.

Abd Al-'Aziz Al'Awda is considered the "spiritual leader" of the terrorist group Islamic Jihad. He has also spoken at rallies throughout the U.S. for The Islamic Committee for Palestine (ICP), which was established by Sami Al-Arian and was promoted as a philanthropic advocacy group devoted to alleviating the suffering of Palestinian woman and children; in reality, however, the ICP served as an American front for the amassing of funds for Palestinian terrorists abroad.

Since 1988, Islamic Jihad has carried out dozens of attacks on Israelis, including 19 suicide bombings, 15 shootings and 10 car bombings. More than 150 people, the vast majority Israelis, but also at least two Americans, have been killed. Among U.S. victims were Alisa Flatow, 20 and Shoshana Ben-Yishai, 16, both killed in bus bombings.

Abd Al-'Aziz Al'Awda, Islamic Jihad's "spiritual leader," was deported by Israel to Lebanon in 1988 (along with other members of palestinian terrorists groups) and Islamic Jihad moved its headquarters to Damascus.

But that was way back when the Israeli Government took a hard line on terrorism. Things have changed since then. Now, Hamas is in control and Abd Al-'Aziz Al'Awda is back in Gaza, and he's not hiding either.

Since Adb Al-'Aziz Al'Awda is wanted the FBI in connection with terrorist activities worldwide, I can't help but wonder why the FBI doesn't just ask the palestinians to turn him over. I mean really, Abu Mazen and the Palestinian Authority are supposed to a peace-loving, peace-seeking bunch, right? Surely they will cooperate with the United States of America in the War on Terror, right?

And if not? Well, that would mean that the Palestinian Authority supports, protects and harbours terrorists right?

Any government that supports, protects or harbours terrorists is complicit in the murder of the innocent and equally guilty of terrorist crimes. - George W. Bush

So. The Palestinian Authority supports, protects and harbours terrorists. By definition, that makes them guilty of terrorist crimes. That makes them terrorists.

But... wait just a cotton pickin' minute! The Palestinian Authority is guilty of terrorist crimes and the United States supports the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinian Authority is guilty of terrorist crimes and the United States of America funds the Palestinian Authority.

So. I have to ask the question: What does that make the United States of America?
