British poll: French are rude and boring:
The French were voted the world's most unfriendly nation by a landslide in a British poll published on Saturday. They were also voted the most boring and most ungenerous.
A decisive 46% of the 6,000 people surveyed by travellers' website Where Are You Now (Wayn) said the French were the most unfriendly nation people on the planet, British newspapers reported.
But wait.... there's more:
To add insult to injury, British newspaper The Daily Telegraph put the boot in on Saturday by saying in an editorial that the French stank.
"The French may like to think that Chanel No 5 is their scent but we all know that garlic and stale Gitanes are much more representative."
The Germans came in second on all three counts.

ok, re. Boring. Interesting because the Telegraph also ran a story recently about a poll taken (who takes these things?) that said the Brits were polite BUT, the most boring ppl anywhere.
I can't remember who the paper said took that poll, but they sure must have been hitting the bottle when they took it. I don't find the Brits boring at all.
PS Linda, my late grandad from Romania was named Benny also. Came thru Ellis about 1903 or 06.

Did we really need a poll to know the French are ungenerous and boring; people who are that self absorbed usually are.
