Just for the fun of it
Last nite I called into Wide Awakes Radio to chat with my friends Vinnie and Merri, it was the test run for their new show.
This is one of the things I ended up talking about... and I blame it on Merri, who got me started by talking about exploding condoms. I don't think they quite believed me... and so... just for the fun of it... here are the Spray on Kondoms I talked about...

Now, you can click the pic and go directly to the page that discusses this innovative new product, except... the page is in German, which may be a problem for at least some of you. Never fear... Gear Factor has got ya covered (pun intended), with this translation via Babelfish...
The new condom comes from the spray can and adapts to each member optimally. Cap off and condom over the Penis spray: The Latexhaut sits perfectly and is operational in few seconds. ... The advantages of the spray condom are obvious: it is easily and fast applicable, adapts to each Penisgroesse. Damage by transport or sun exposure belongs then exactly the same to the past like the question of the disposal: The natural rubber product decomposes and becomes humus. Thus the spray condom functions. ... Similarly as with the Deodorant we with aerosol liquid Latex sprayed on the Penis ... has the characteristic to vulcanize at room temperature. The india rubber changes thus from the plastic into the flexible condition and becomes in few seconds, rubber. ... Still condom testers are looked for, which already gained experience in handling condoms.
So there ya have it. Spray on kondoms.
See what you miss when you miss the Vinnie and Merri show on Wide Awakes Radio?
UPDATE: Guess I scooped Reuters.

Educating Women ~ Moslem style
Disembowelled, then torn apart: The price of daring to teach girls
The gunmen came at night to drag Mohammed Halim away from his home, in front of his crying children and his wife begging for mercy.
The 46-year-old schoolteacher tried to reassure his family that he would return safely. But his life was over, he was part-disembowelled and then torn apart with his arms and legs tied to motorbikes, the remains put on display as a warning to others against defying Taliban orders to stop educating girls.
The Religion of Peace treats women equally and fairly and don't you forget it.

Darfur Genocide - It's time to blame the Joos!
If you think that the Jihad in Darfur is being perpetuated by arab moslems, think again.
Sudan's President Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir claimed Tuesday that reports in western newspapers of hundreds of thousands dead in his country's brutal civil war are all part of an Israeli-led worldwide conspiracy.
Al-Bashir asserted that all talk of a serious conflict - and accusations that his Government has supported, trained and armed the brutal Arab Janjaweed militia, which has displaced, raped and robbed an estimated 2.5 million people in Darfur - were a western conspiracy engineered by Israel to divert attention from the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Palestinian territories.
In statements that appeared to be more in keeping with 1920s anti-Semitism than statesmanship, Field Marshal al-Bashir added that Israeli influence was at the center of the conflict, and all the world's disputes.
"You cannot at all rule out the Israeli role in any problem that any Arab country is facing because the security of Israel is based on weakening Arab states," he said.
"Israel would do everything through their media and their different mechanisms - you can't deny they have such influence in circles all over the world so they can do what they want."
Boggles the mind, don't it?

Illegal Voting
On November 28, 1872, a U.S. deputy marshall came to Susan B. Anthony's door and arrested her. The crime: on November 5, 1872, Susan B. Anthony cast her vote in the Presidential Elections. The charge: Illegal voting.
The Fourteenth Amendment, adopted in 1868, had declared that all people born in the United States were citizens and that no legal privileges could be denied to any citizen. Anthony decided to challenge this amendment. Saying that women were citizens and the amendment did not restrict the privilege of voting to men, she registered to vote in Rochester, New York, on November 1, 1872. Four days later, she and fifteen other women voted in the presidential election. All sixteen women were arrested, but only Anthony was brought before a court.
Her trial, United States v. Susan B. Anthony, began on June 17, 1873. The presiding judge opposed women's suffrage and wrote his decision before the trial even had started. Refusing to let Anthony testify, he ordered the jury to find her guilty, then sentenced her to pay a $100 fine. She refused to pay "a dollar of your unjust penalty," and no further action was taken against her.

Anthony spent the next fifty-plus years of her life fighting for the right to vote. She would work tirelessly: giving speeches, petitioning Congress and state legislatures, publishing a feminist newspaper--all for a cause that would not succeed until the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment fourteen years after her death in 1906.
-----
The right to vote.
On November 7, 2006, I voted a straight Republican ticket, despite my misgivings about the direction the Republican party has taken, despite the fact that it has abandoned every one of the conservative values that are the core of my political agenda. I cast my vote based on one issue, the War on Terrorism, despite the fact that I have seen this administration make concessions to and negotiate with terrorists. I did this because anything is better than the cut and run appeasement policy that the democrats stand for. I cast my vote for people who want to do things I am dead set against, such a pro-amnesty Charlie Crist, who, thanks to my vote, is now Governor of my state.
I was not alone in this and although I shared their feelings, I was horrified at the number of conservatives, and the number of republicans, who stayed home. None of the democrat wins were really big wins, races were decided by a few thousand votes, but in the end, it was a big win, and they won, because we stayed home. If you think your one vote doesn't matter, look at the numbers on the Webb/Steele race.
And now, I am watching President George Bush all a flutter on the chance to give amnesty to criminals who have snuck over our border and I am watching him roll over and give the democrats his belly on the War on Terror.
Yesterday, while waiting for my lunch, I was staring at a television with the sound off. Little bits of the show where put up in text quotes and first it said that the "neocon movement was dead" and then it said that the "neocon movement started with George W. Bush's presidency." And then it said that "neocons pushed his father into Desert Storm." And sitting alone at the bar in Gordon Beirsch on Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami, I started to laugh. If "neocons" started with George W. Bush's presidency, how did "neocons" push his father into Desert Storm?
Either the entire world has gone crazy, or I have.
And now I'm supposed to believe that a man who believes that Americans have the wholesale right to kill babies, a man who believes that I should pay for healthcare for criminals who sneak across the border, a man who believes in taking away my right to bear arms, is the great white hope for this Country and for the conservative movement. Sorry, but I don't believe it and I'm already sick of having Rudy shoved down my throat, what will next year be like?
I owe something to people like Susan B. Anthony, who tirelessly and endlessly sacrificed for my right to vote, and I realize that the perfect candidate is not going to ride out of the sunrise on a white horse in the next year. I know there will never, ever be a perfect candidate.
But how much compromising on my personal beliefs am I supposed to do? When we give amnesty to millions of criminals in this country, when we reward them with free healthcare and social security at my personal expense, when we forgive them their tax debt, when Spanish becomes a mandatory language, I will have no right to complain, because I voted for representation by people who are pro-amnesty. I hate that!
So, I ask myself, what would I do if the primaries were tomorrow and I had to choose between Rudy Guliani and John McCain? And if one of them takes the primary? I considered it on November 7, but now, for the first time ever, staying home truly seems like a viable option.
and I hate that!

It's really the Teutonic rune of death
but in Denver, the footprint of the Great American Chicken might be a symbol of satan...
DENVER - A homeowners association in southwestern Colorado has threatened to fine a resident $25 a day until she removes a Christmas wreath with a peace sign that some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan.
Some residents who have complained have children serving in Iraq, said Bob Kearns, president of the Loma Linda Homeowners Association in Pagosa Springs. He said some residents have also believed it was a symbol of Satan.
Yep, that looks evil to me, always has, always will.
Lisa Jensen said she wasn't thinking of the war when she hung the wreath.
ahahaha! I bet she said that with a straight face too! Oh, but wait... there's more!
Kearns ordered the committee to require Jensen to remove the wreath, but members refused after concluding that it was merely a seasonal symbol that didn't say anything. Kearns fired all five committee members.
ahahahahahahahahaha. He fired them! All of them! ahahahahahahaha!
I might comment on this if I could stop laughing long enough to do so. Maybe later, m'kay?
ahahahahahahahahaha!

Snark Jerusalem Style-Part II
Graffiti spotted in Jerusalem, back in August and during Olmert's Lebanon fiasco...

For the Hebrew impaired, the graffiti says: "Sharon wake up - Olmert is in a coma!" and the caption at the bottom says "No additional words are required."
But that's old snark, it is however, somewhat related to the new snark making the rounds via email, titled "If Arik (Sharon) would wake up today...."
It is a rainy night and we are at Tel Hashomer Hospital. Only one assistant is around, named Shmiel. He is on night duty tonight in the room of "sleeping" former PM Sharon.
Everybody, but Sharon himself, knows he is no longer the Prime Minister of Israel. Shmiel is sitting peeling an apple and G the Shaba"k agent is nodding off.
Suddenly, all the machines start to beep. The PM is waking up!
Sharon says, "I haven't slept like that for a long time! Get me [Reuven] Adler, I have some ideas for a new direction."
Shmiel says, "Good morning, sir. How do you feel?"
Sharon answers, "I am dying of hunger. Where am I?"
The shabak agent continues to sleep while Shmiel explains to Sharon what had happened to him.
Sharon does not take him seriously and says, "So tonight you fooled with the PM, eh Shmiel?"
Shmiel says, "Sorry sir but you are really no longer the PM."
After a few minutes Sharon asks, "So who replaced me?"
Shmiel answers, "Ehud Olmert."
Sharon reacts, "Olmert? That Jerusalemite putz? What will happen if war breaks out, he does not know how to run the army! At least Shaul [Mofaz] is still there!"
Shmiel answers, "Mofaz is the Minister of Transportation."
"So who is the Defence Minister?"
Shmiel says, "Peretz."
"That old man is still alive?!" asks Sharon in wonderment.
Shmiel whispers trembling, "not Peres, Peretz. Amir Peretz."
"What? Are you crazy? I close my eyes for a minute and you guys let a labor leader take over the defence of the country?! Not all the factories in Dimona are the same. Does he know that? Listen, get Omri here right away. He will fix everything."
"Sorry sir, Omri is on his way to jail."
"Jail?? for that shtus? I do not believe it. So get me my lawyer quickly. Get Klagsbald."
Shmiel responds, Klagsbald is on his way to jail."
Sharon calms down and says, "I knew I could count on Klagsbald. he will get Omri out of it."
Shmiel corrects him and says, "No, sir. Klagsbald is also on his way to jail. He was driving and not paying attention and caused an accident unintentionally running over and killing a young woman and her son."
Sharon said, "So bring me [Avigdor] Yitzchaki. He always knows how to fix these situations."
"Sorry, sir. Yitzchaki is under his own investigation for tax fraud. He fixed things too much this time."
"Can't be. I know Yitzchaki. They must be framing him. So get me the Head of Police."
"Sorry, sir, but Karadi is in investigation."
"Of course he is. He is the head of police. I am sure he is in the middle of a number of investigations!"
"No, sir. This is an investigation against him!"
Sharon takes a deep breath. It can't be. The whole justice system has been ruined! We must get them out of this. Get me the minister of Internal Security, Tzachi [Hanegbi]."
"Sir, Hanegbi has been indicted for fraud, bribery and job fixing. He is not a minister anymore."
"So get me the Justice Minister. Who did Olmert appoint?"
"Haim Ramon"
"So get him here!"
"Sorry sir. I can't. He has been indicted and is on trial for misconduct."
"What? So get me the president. That is still Katzav, right?"
"sorry sir, but Katzav is under investigation as well, for misconduct and wiretapping."
"So get me the Chief of Staff, Boogie [Moshe Ayalon]. Sorry I mean Halutz, right?"
" Sir, he got into some trouble in the Lebanon War. Nothing criminal. he sold some stocks. He will soon be giving testimony to an investigative committee."
"Halutz?? he was a young Piper pilot during the Lebanon War!"
"Sir, that would be the second Lebanon War, while you were sleeping. We... how should I say? lost the war but the PM said we should be patient, victory is coming."
Sharon looked around his room. "What is your name and what is your position?"
"Shmiel, sir. I am a hospital attendant."
"Ok, Shmiel. Do not tell anyone about this conversation."
"You can count on me, sir."
"I am going back to sleep."

Repeat after me... again...
There is no terrorist threat:
SKOWHEGAN -- The explosion of two homemade bombs inside Wal-Mart Saturday afternoon sent a store full of holiday shoppers scurrying for the exits.
Two acid bombs detonated in two separate aisles as the store was crowded with shoppers around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, said Sgt. Joel Davis, fire investigation supervisor for the State Fire Marshal's Office. One of the bombs detonated in the pet area. The second was in the store's toy section, Davis said.
For the record, Skowhegan is in Maine. Maine is in the United States. And a similar bomb in another part of the state seriously injured a police officer. However, you should still feel safe, because the democrats are in the house, and there is no terrorist threat.
If I were a gambler, I'd put my money on a couple of white boys just having a little fun, because after all, there is no terrorist threat.
Nope, nothing to worry about...

UPDATE: Teenagers, that's all we know.... that and the fact that they placed a few other bombs...

Duck and Cover
Mac over at Beast Media turns back the clock to a time of innocence, when Americans believed they could somehow survive a nuclear attack on our country, to a time when children and adults practiced "Duck and Cover" for safety, coached by Burt the Turtle.
I got a little teary-eyed watching it, watching children dive under their school desks, dive into doorways and dive off their bikes to curl up against the curb. Oh, the innocence of believing that "Duck and Cover" could help you survive a nuclear bomb!
Yet, at the same, they all had the jaded acceptance and recognition of the very real threat to our country, and our lives.
How times have changed. Today, we know that Duck and Cover ain't gonna work and if the bomb comes, you put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye. Today, our enemies are not the commies across the pond, our enemies are the followers of islam, and they are everywhere, even here.
Despite a nuclear Iran chanting death to America, many of us believe that we need not fear one giant blast, but we all know that dirty suitcase bombs are a distinct possibility. And yet, at the same time, there are so many Americans that believe that there is no terrorist threat.
We are not as innocent as we were in the 50s, but G-d help us, we are certainy not as smart either.

Surprise Surprise!
You'll be glad to know that the Truce between Israel and Hamas is off to a good start:
Hamas claimed responsibility for firing rockets into Israel on Sunday morning after a truce aimed at ending five months of violence in Gaza was supposed to have taken effect.
The last count was six rockets.
Of course, some of us remember what happened after the last "Truce" or "Hudna" or whatever you want to call it agreed to by Sharon and Abu Mazen that began February 8, 2005, the one that was predicated on the expulsion of Jews from Gaza:
Feb 25, 2005 - Five people were killed and 50 wounded Friday night, when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside the Stage club on the Tel Aviv promenade at around 11:20 P.M., on the corner of Herbert Samuel and Yonah Hanavi streets. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
The victims: Yitzhak Buzaglo, 40, of Mishmar Hayarden; Aryeh Nagar, 37, of Kfar Sava; Yael Orbach, 28, of Rehovot; Ronen Reuvenov, 30, of Tel Aviv. Odelia Hubara, 26, of Jerusalem, died of her wounds on February 28.May 2, 2005 - St.-Sgt. Avi Karouchi, 25, of Beersheba was killed and two soldiers were wounded in a coordinated Palestinian attack in which RPG missiles and gunfire were fired at an IDF engineering force conducting construction work on the Philadelphi route along the Israeli-Egyptian border. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 20, 2005 - Yevgeny Reider, 28 of Hermesh was killed and a 16-year old teenager was wounded in a terrorist shooting attack in the village of Baka A-Sharkiya in the northern West Bank. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 24, 2005 - Avihai Levy, 17, of Beit Hagai was killed in a drive-by terrorist shooting at a hitchhiking stop about 200 meters from the entrance to Beit Hagai, south of Hebron. Aviad Mansour, 16, of Otniel, fatally wounded in the attack, died on June 26. Three others were wounded. The Islamic Jihad and Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jun 29, 2005 - Hezbollah attacks an Israeli position at Mt. Dov from across the Lebanese border, killing one and injuring three.
Jul 12, 2005 - Rachel Ben Abu, 16, of Tel Aviv; Nofar Horowitz, 16, of Tel Aviv; and Julia Voloshin, 31, of Netanya were killed and about 90 people were wounded when a suicide bomber detonated himself outside Hasharon Mall in Netanya. Jul 14, 2005 - Dana Gelkovitch, 22, of Kibbutz Bror Hayil, was killed by a Qassam rocket fired at Netiv Ha'asara in the northern Gaza Strip. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah all claimed responsibility for the attack.
And then... Israel emptied Gaza for peace, the Truce was still in effect and all we got was more dead Jews:
Jul 23, 2005 - Dov, 58, and Rachel Kol, 53, of Jerusalem were killed shortly after midnight on Saturday night near the Kissufim crossing in the southern Gaza Strip while returning home from visiting family in Gush Katif. Shabbat Shalom
Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory.
Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness. Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.”
Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.
Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world, and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.
Amen

Something to be thankful for
The Sleepy Terrorist is gonna get a dirt nap!
The death sentence for convicted murderer Sgt. Hasan Akbar was approved late last week at Fort Bragg, N.C., by Lt. Gen. John R. Vines, commander if XXVIII Airborne Corps and court martial convening authority in the case.
Ya'll remember Akbar don't ya?
Akbar wrote in his diary that once he was sent to Iraq, "I am going to try and kill as many of them as possible."
Prosecutors have said Akbar told investigators he was worried that U.S. forces would harm fellow Muslims in the Iraq war.
Another entry said: "I will have to decide to kill my Muslim brothers fighting for Saddam Hussein or my battle buddies. I am hoping to get into a position so I don't have to take any crap from anyone anymore."
Elsewhere, he wrote: "I may not have killed any Muslims, but being in the Army is the same thing. I may have to make a choice very soon on who to kill."
In the end, Akbar made his choice, he killed Army Capt. Christopher Seifert, 27, with a shot in the back, and Air Force Maj. Gregory Stone, 40, suffered 83 shrapnel wounds. Another 14 soldiers were injured.
Akbar used grenades and a firearm to murder his fellow members of the 101st Airborne Division at Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait days after the start of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
Army Capt. Christopher Seifert, 27, and Air Force Maj. Gregory Stone, 40, were killed; 14 other soldiers were injured.
They charged Akbar with two counts of premeditated murder and three counts of attempted premeditated murder.
Whatever they do to him, I hope it hurts!

The Day After
Found this in my comments... courtesy of babalu:
The stuffing was spicy.
The turkey was plump.
In those instant potatoes
We found not one lump. The creamed corn was delish.
The yams were so sweet.
The ham was quite tasty.
Cranberries, a treat. The biscuits were perfect.
The gravy just so.
The meal was a triumph,
A feast, don’t you know. Two pies topped it all off,
One lemon meringue.
One pumpkin with whipped cream
Was quite just the thing. We all drank fresh coffee
And loosened our pants
Our stomachs the size of
A bull elephant’s.We all swore to never
Eat that much again.
We’re all starting diets
To lose at least ten.Tomorrow it’s oatmeal
For breakfast, we vow.
“And salads for lunch,”
We all say, at least now.But I see that turkey
Sliced up so precise
Just waiting for mayo
On white bread, how nice! The dark meat all stripped off
The carcass, now cold,
To be baked in a pasta
And cheese casserole. For days I’ll be eating
From leftover store
‘Til I can’t look a yam
In the face any more. But four weeks from today
There will be a repeat
Of that exact same meal
And we’ll all overeat.
Thanks babalu!

and... words
TEHRAN (AFP) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said the world is "rapidly becoming Ahmadinejadised" and global leaders have started following in his footsteps, press reports said.
"I have travelled to all the continents except for one and I know what is going on out there. Everybody is eager to hear the Iranian people's message," the reformist Aftab-Yazd newspaper quoted the president as saying Tuesday.
"The world is rapidly becoming Ahmadinejadised."
The austere hardliner said that Iran's "two big missions are constructing the country and introducing a model for humanity."
Ahmadinejadise Huh? I guess that's how you say "annihilated" in arabic.

It snowed!
Okay, not here, but in Central Florida, it did! Here its just.... cold!

I've lived in Brooklyn and it snowed, I've lived in Upstate New York where it snows, and I've lived on top of a mountain in West Virginia where it snows. In West-By-G-d, the snow was up to our armpits and we couldn't drive all the way to our house. We had to leave our vehicles about halfway, and then pull ourselves up the mountain with a rope/cable strung along the tree line. I used to tie a sled to my waist to drag the groceries up.
So, no thank you. I've been there, done that, and life is difficult enough without having to shovel snow.
Bring on the Global Warming!

By Heidi at Euphoric Reality
Last week, two Muslim leaders in Boston were arrested for immigration fraud - illegally filing fraudulent visa documents and obtaining religious workers' visas. The arrests were the culmination of a multi-year investigation in Boston and New York:
The ICE agents arrested Hannan Wednesday along with 32 other people in eight states and the District of Columbia in connection with an alleged nationwide scheme to help many foreigners, mostly from Pakistan, immigrate and remain in the U.S. by filing false applications for religious workers' visas. Most of those taken into custody did not have religious training or experience to qualify for the visas, and held secular jobs here in the U.S., such as working at gas stations and factories or driving trucks, according to the ICE. Others were religious workers but had used fraudulent identity documents to get their visas, the agency said. The agency claims the petitioners of the visas took substantial cash fees from the foreigners for the false paperwork filed on their behalf.
Despite the fact that the imams were not arrested precipitously, but only after a multi-year investigation, they have an excuse ready:
"All it is is a minor administrative technicality error" in his immigration paperwork, said Vilal Kaleem, associate director of the American Muslim Society's Boston chapter. "It's completely disgraceful in the manner they dealt with it," he said of the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. [...] Kaleem said Hannan was driving his family to an immigration office for an interview for the green-card proceedings on Wednesday when the federal agents arrested him. Hannan's son and daughter were crying following the arrest, Kaleem said.
So, so sad. My heart breaks.
Meanwhile, the Muslim community in Boston is doing what Muslims do best: seething.
Muslim leaders in the Boston area expressed outrage yesterday over the arrest and jailing of two senior clerics..."It's just so flabbergasting the way they would do this" ..."This seems to be a direct attack at our religion and community"..."it is deeply humiliating when a man of such high religious status in our community is treated as a criminal in front of the world"..."Why do you just arrest some respected members of the community and haul them away?"..."People are attached to the imam. They will be very upset. Everyone loves him."
Oddly enough, it is apparently not humiliating for "a man of such high religious status" to act as a criminal. Because though our government rarely enforces it, it is still technically illegal to break our immigration laws. Unfortunately, when it comes to our immigration law, this will likely turn into the following scenario: They broke the law. They got arrested for breaking the law, but now it's the government's fault for enforcing the law.
The Muslim American Society provides contact information to their community so that they can demand a "safe and speedy return" and to demand "fair, speedy, and respectable treatment" of the imams. I'll provide the contact info here for you should you prefer to register thanks that our laws are actually being enforced:
The MAS provides contact information, so folks can insist on "fair, speedy and respectable" treatment of the imams.
Senator Edward Kennedy (617)565 3170 Request to speak to Tom Cohan, (ext. 119)Senator John Kerry (617) 565-8519
Request to speak to Carmen Velazquez
Yeah, I know - fat lot of good it will do to contact those two Senators, but if you've got nothing better to do, have at it.
At a time when Muslim immigration to America is at an all-time high, even more are sneaking into the country illegally than ever before. In July, Homeland Security discovered that more than one-third of religious workers visas were obtained using fraudulent means, and the fraud was particularly rampant among Muslims.
The probe found a particularly high fraud rate among applicants from countries the government deemed to pose a security risk, such as Egypt, Algeria, Pakistan, Syria and Iraq, the report found. [...] Some immigration watchdogs say that the program should be seriously curtailed because, even in cases where the applications are legitimate, the visas could bring radical clerics into the country.Last year, for example, the FBI arrested three Pakistani men associated with a mosque in Lodi, California. All had entered on religious-worker visas. Two were accused of ties to a terrorist training camp in Pakistan before coming to the United States, and the third, an imam, allegedly delivered sermons endorsing violence against non-Muslims before he came to America.
This is only one more reason among many why our immigration enforcement is the front line of our national defense. The two issues are inextricably intertwined. To remain lax in immigration enforcement is to invite infiltration and attack. This is why all those whose first act on American soil is a criminal one MUST be deported, no matter their ethnicity or nationality. Our immigration laws have to be strictly enforced if we are to have any hope of future security.

I don't do blogwars
But ignorance abounds and sometimes I just get so damn angry at uninformed people who talk about things they know nothing about and don't bother to research.

The slimebag is you Dean, for passing judgment on a movement based upon the actions of one individual, with no regard as to whether those actions are representative of, or endorsed by, the movement as a whole. You have become the laughing stock of the internet for attacking anyone who condemns islam, screeching into the void that its unfair to condemn islam because of the actions of what you call a few extremists. And then you turn around and do the same thing to Reb Kahane.
You have two separate standards for terrorism Dean, one for the poor oppressed islamists and one for the evil Joooos.
You asshat!
and G-d Bless the Emperor, who sums up nicely here.

Oh Happy Day!
This is only one reason why Curmudgeonly & Skeptical is one of my daily reads:
Hallelujah! Now that Democrats have taken control of Congress, we can expect:
• Gas prices to drop to $1.25, because Republicans will no longer be able to feather the nest of Big Oil with obscene profits.
• Cars to run on hydrogen, corn syrup and refried beans, because Republicans will no longer be able to control the laws of physics.
• The wage gap to become non-existent, because differences in intelligence, drive, determination, personal responsibility and common sense will be outlawed.
• Unemployment to drop to zero when the minimum wage increases to $22.35 per hour, because the demand for labor increases when the cost of labor increases, and not the reverse, as ignorant, mean-spirited Republicans had stupidly claimed.
• Test scores of below-average students to skyrocket to above-average levels, because Democrats will outlaw the Republican-invented Bell curve.
• The Dow to hit 18,000 in 2007, because it's an economic fact that the best way of growing an economy is to penalize risk-takers, innovators and the industrious.
• The price of medicine and health care to plummet, because it's another economic fact that when you give people free stuff, demand goes down.
• Foreign investors to swamp the country in capital, because they really don't care about the return on their investments, as the Republicans had led us to believe.
• Government to control even more of the economy, because government is clearly better at allocating scarce resources, as the Soviet Union, Cuba, North Korea and France have proven.
• Single-parent households to grow exponentially, because Republicans won't be able to spread the lie that such households are the primary cause of poverty, crime and school dropouts.
• Wal-Mart to go out of business, because Republicans won't be able to perpetuate another myth that people prefer low prices to high prices.
• Muslim extremists to stop killing Americans and enslaving women, because their extremism was caused by Republicans, who never understood the glories of multiculturalism and the fact that all cultures are equally good, except the American culture.
We have a lot to look forward to, don't we?

Israel's Secret Weapon
Here is an article on John Bolton's latest speech Friday night at the UN, from the Calcutta News. The biased anti-Israel American media won't tell you about it.
The Malaysian Sun reports that John Bolton, the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, has been described by Israeli Ambassador Dan Gillerman as, "Israel's secret weapon."
John Bolton is the first USA representative to the UN who has had the courage to stand up and speak out against the obscene abuse that the UN heaps upon Israel and upon the USA.
and the Democrats want to remove him.
The U.S. Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, launched a scathing attack on the United Nations Friday.
Bolton was furious over the adoption by the General Assembly of a resolution which said the assembly regretted the deaths of 19 civilians in an attack by the Israeli military in the town of Beit Hanoun last week.
Despite the resolution being significantly watered down at the behest of the United States, and being passing by 156 votes to seven, Bolton launched a blistering attack on the UN, and many of its members.
"Many of the sponsors of that resolution are notorious abusers of human rights themselves, and were seeking to deflect criticism of their own policies," he said.
"This type of resolution serves only to exacerbate tensions by serving the interests of elements hostile to Israel's inalienable and recognized right to exist."
"This deepens suspicions about the United Nations that will lead many to conclude that the organization is incapable of playing a helpful role in the region," Bolton continued.
"In a larger sense, the United Nations must confront a more significant question, that of its relevance and utility in confronting the challenges of the 21st century. We believe that the United Nations is ill served when its members seek to transform the organization into a forum that is a little more than a self-serving and a polemical attack against Israel or the United States," he said.
"The Human Rights Council has quickly fallen into the same trap and de-legitimized itself by focusing attention exclusively on Israel. Meanwhile, it has failed to address real human rights abuses in Burma, Darfur, the DPRK, and other countries," Bolton charged.
"The problem of anti-Israel bias is not unique to the Human Rights Council. It is endemic to the culture of the United Nations. It is a decades-old, systematic problem that transcends the whole panoply of the UN organizations and agencies," he continued.
The United States, and Australia joined Israel in voting against the motion, together with four small Pacific island nations. All countries in Europe, including Britain, voted to support the resolution.
I will never, never, never understand why Jews continue to vote for democrats.

Islamotards on Parade

to this:

Now... how much fun is that?
But wait... there's more!
These islamotards are arguing over which terrorist groups have the best looking terrorists. Ahahaha! And they linked a Al-Sadr picture from my site. It too has been changed.

One more time
Repeat after me: There is no terrorist threat.

It was just a radioactive pipe bomb. Nothing to be concerned about.
Oh... and while we're on the subject...
A SELF-proclaimed British multi-millionaire named Mohammed Islam who was arrested on the Gold Coast with almost $120,000 in cash is under investigation as to whether he has terrorist connections.
Queensland police yesterday refused to comment on their investigation into the man, 22, but at this stage there is reportedly no evidence to link him with terrorist activity.
Islam allegedly had $118,000 in $50 notes in a suitcase and a mobile phone concealed in his rectum when he was arrested at a Surfers Paradise bus station on Thursday night.
Islam faced Southport Magistrate's Court yesterday charged with possessing tainted property but police prosecutor Sarah Fox said more serious charges could be laid.
Constable Fox said Customs officers in Sydney had found no large sums of money in Islam's luggage when he arrived in the country and he had not declared any.
A check with Interpol revealed Islam had supplied police with a false address in London.
Constable Fox told the court Islam had a criminal history in England relating to fraud, theft, public disorder and drug offences.
Spotted in the comments at the Rott: "It seems perfectly reasonable and rational for Mohammed Islam to have a phone up his ass. That is where his head is."

Amen

Thinkers to think about
In case you had any doubts about whether or not radical islam has arrived in America, yesterday afternoon, Glenn Beck took a call from a member of the Islamic Thinker’s Society of New York.
My good friend Vinnie took the audio of that call and converted it to video format to facilitate easier posting. Due to size and time constraints, the audio is in two parts. The image that goes along with the audio comes from an Islamic Thinker’s rally held in New York City to protest the Mohammed cartoons.
Please listen to both segments.

Repeat after me
A man was arrested at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after officials say they found him carrying more than $78,000 in cash and a laptop computer containing information about nuclear materials and cyanide.
Sisayehiticha Dinssa, an unemployed U.S. citizen, was arrested Tuesday after a dog caught the scent of narcotics on cash he was carrying, according to an affidavit filed in court.
When agents asked him if he had any cash to declare, he said he had $18,000, authorities said. But when agents checked his luggage, they found an additional $59,000. When they scrolled through his laptop, they said they found the mysterious files.
Dinssa, who is from Dallas, arrived in Detroit from Nigeria by way of Amsterdam and was headed for Phoenix.
I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation.

Teens Arrested For Gluing School Doors Shut
Hollywood police said they've arrested two teenagers who they believe broke into a school and put super-glue in all the locks last week.
The teens are being charged with burglary and criminal mischief. The damage cost McArthur High School nearly $30,000.
Police and school officials were able to break into most of the classrooms before students arrived but others were stranded outside classrooms.
Investigators used surveillance video to help catch the pair. Authorities said one of the students is 16 years old and the other 17.
Gosh I love Florida and boy am I glad they ain't my kids.

How do you spell Hypocrite?
A South Dakota state senator who's under investigation has resigned his current term, but plans to show up for the new session that starts in January.
Democratic state Senator Dan Sutton of Flandreau has been accused of acting improperly with a high-school student who served as a page during last winter's legislative session. One of Sutton's lawyers has said Sutton did nothing wrong.
Sutton was re-elected last week with 57 percent of the vote.
The father of a high school page during the 2006 session says Sutton sexually groped the page. It seems the former page's father filed a formal complaint alleging that Sutton invited the page to stay overnight in his motel room and then groped the young man. The incident was reported in October, but it seems they managed to keep it quiet. In a letter dated today to Governor Rounds, Sutton resigned for the rest of this term but did not step down from the 2007 session. The plan is to avoid dealing with the present senate and wait till the next senate is in:
His lawyers say the issue should be handled by the next Senate and not by the current lame-duck chamber.
One of Sutton's lawyers -- Patrick Duffy of Rapid City -- says the resignation means the special session planned for November 27th over the allegation will not be held. That means the senators who take office in January will have to decide whether to seat Sutton or otherwise discipline him.
Why is no one talking about this? Where is media outcry on this? Where is the outrage?

The Sultan Speaks
And you shoud be listening...
"... I'm not saying there should be an official war declared between Christianity and Islam. But the war cannot be declared as one between 'right and wrong' because to most right and wrong are abstract ideas interpreted subjectively. My right is not necessarily your right. It may be your wrong.
Muslims feel that right involves murdering their daughters, bombing skyscrapers and expanding the dominion of Islam. Convincing them that's wrong requires displacing their current moral system with an alternative moral system. Since their moral system is religiously based, you cannot displace their system of belief without displacing their religion. Islam."

The Coffee and the Fly
What happens when a fly falls into a coffee cup?
The Englishman - throws the cup and walks away.
The American - takes out the fly, and drinks the coffee.
The Chinese - eats the fly and throws away the coffee.
The Japanese - drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra with no charge.
The Israeli - sells the coffee to the American, the fly to the Chinese, and buys himself a new cup of coffee.
The Palestinian - blames the Israeli for the violent act of putting the fly in his coffee, asks the UN for aid, takes a loan from the European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase explosives and then blows up the coffee house where the Englishman, the American, the Chinese, the Japanese all try to explain to the Israeli that he was too aggressive.
Thanks Dan!

CREW Blasts Pelosi Endorsement of Unethical Murtha for Majority Leader
Washington, DC - Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) questioned soon-to-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) commitment to eradicating corruption with her endorsement of one of the most unethical members in Congress, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), to be Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.
Rep. Murtha was listed in CREW's report Beyond DeLay: The 20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress (and five to watch). As reported in the study and by the news media, Rep, Murtha has been involved in a number of pay-to play schemes involving former staffers and his brother, Robert "Kit" Murtha.
CREW is nothing but an acronym for George Soros, the billionare behind the democrat agenda. Soros personally spent millions trying to put the democrats in charge and now that he has some success, he is obviously not happy with the end results. Bummer George!

Last Tuesday, the Democrats won the majority in both the House and the Senate. Within a day, President Bush was gloating on national TV about how he could now finally pass his Amnesty bill with a Democrat-controlled Congress. This galling statement by the President was reinforced by the White House spokesman:
White House spokesman Tony Snow reacted to the change in House control by allowing they’re disappointed, but that it presents some intriguing opportunities, such as passing comprehensive immigration reform which failed in the previous Republican House.
Meanwhile, conservatives are shocked - SHOCKED! - by this open defiance of the vast majority of Americans' wishes. "What on earth is Bush thinking?!," they wonder.

If you were worried about the state of the world today, all the conflict, violence, all the war, well, you can sit back and relax now, 'cause help is on the way! That's right!

It's Synchronized Global Orgasms for Peace! Yay!
Will it work? Oh yee of little faith... of course it will work! The concept has been researched by The Global Consciousness Project of Princeton University and they've been measuring the general randomness of the world! I watched the movie, its all about these little golden eggs everywhere that measure stuff, its very scientific and based on the Zero Point Field or Quantum Field which surrounds and is part of everything in the universe. It can be affected by human consciousness, as can be seen when simple observation of a subatomic particle changes the particle’s state. The golden eggs prove this!
We hope that a huge influx of physical, mental and spiritual energy with conscious peaceful intent will not only show up on Princeton’s REGs, but will have profound positive effects that will change the violent state of the human world.
It's good to know that the world now has a real and viable solution for peace on earth in our time, and one we can all participate in and make happen!
It's Global-O baby, for peace!
So, where will you be on December 22, 2006?

ABC's Rosie O'Donnell: 'Don't Fear the Terrorists, They're Mothers and Fathers'
No one told me Rosie was doing comedy these days...

Rosie O'Donnell: "Faith or fear, that's your choice. You can walk through life believing in the goodness of the world, or walk through life afraid of anyone who thinks different than you and trying to convert them to your way of thinking. And I think that this country–"
Elisabeth Hasselbeck: "Well, I'm a person of faith, so I, but I also believe–"
O'Donnell: "Well, then, get away from the fear. Don't fear the terrorists. They're mothers and fathers."
I guess Rosie has never heard of Palestinian Mother of the Year and Hamas politician Um Nidal, who is also known as Mariam Farahat. Um became famous when she was filmed bidding her 17-year-old son Mohammed farewell to die through a terrorist attack. She ordered him "not to return except as a shahid [martyr for Allah]." Ordering one son to die was not enough, thus far, Um sent three of her sons to die and murder others.
When a mother orders three of her children to kill themselves and to kill innocent civilians with them, what better candidate could you have to help run the new Palestinian government?

Today, Mariam Farahat, is part of the Palestinian parliament and she has this to say to mothers everwhere:
Umm Nidal on raising children:
Ever since [my son] Muhammad was a little boy, he carried and used a weapon. This was natural for him. It is not that he all of a sudden took up a weapon, carried out operations, and so on. This was a gradual process for him, ever since he was little.
Umm Nidal on sibling rivalry:
There was an operation that was about to take place - the same operation that he eventually carried out. [My eldest son] Nidal, may he rest in peace, said to me: "I want to give this operation to my brother Muhammad." He insisted on this because he loved Muhammad very much. He chose him. He chose him for the operation over the rest of the guys. Some of the guys were even a little mad at him for not considering them for this operation, but he said: "By Allah, this operation leads to Paradise, and I will choose nobody but my brother."
Umm Nidal on what boys want:
Allah be praised, we have thousands of young men. They all yearn for martyrdom for the sake of Allah. Some of them even cry when they do not get the chance to commit martyrdom. As long as we have such determination, we will prevail, Allah willing.
Umm Nidal on the meaning of life:
We believe in the faith charted for us by Allah, and believe that if someone is destined to die, he will die, even if he hides in a crate - but why shouldn't we take the initiative and die as martyrs? There is an abyss between one form of dying and the other. So why shouldn't we choose martyrdom? Allah has chosen us, from among all people, and has bestowed upon us the honor of Jihad in the front line of Palestine. So it is all the more fitting for us to initiate martyrdom, before death reaches us while we sit at home.
and finally, Umm Nidal's message to all the Muslim mothers, who want to raise their sons, and hope they will attain worldly things, university degrees, luxurious palaces, and fancy cars:
A Muslim mother should raise her children on prayer, good deeds, and, of course, on Jihad, which is one of the duties on which we should raise our children.
Jihad in Islam is a duty that one cannot forego. It is like any other religious duty. If we understand the true meaning of Islam, the notion of Jihad will be included among the Islamic duties, and in Palestine - an individual duty. If we are remiss in this duty, we sin.
Now, that might make you feel all warm and mushy inside Rosie, but mothers like Um Nidal scare the crap out of me.
Is Rosie listening to Condi Rice? Now that's really scary.

I love Rummy
Always have, always will:
In a question and answer session at Kansas State University on Thursday, outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was posed the following: “If you were going to give yourself a letter grade for your performance as Secretary of Defense, what grade would that be?”
As he answered, "Oh, I'd let history worry about that," Rumsfeld used his middle finger to scratch his nose.

It was classic Rummy moment.
While we're on the subject, I must say, I don't blame Rummy for retiring, why would he want to work under a Congress that doesn't support the troops or their mission? The answer to that question leads to another, what's next for our military?
A few thoughts on that from Out of the Race:
When all is said and done in connection with the Pentagon management shakeup, the Baker commission report and the Dems actively taking control of the legislative branch, I for one will be watching the reenlistment rate among the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. I suspect many troops will opt to return to civilian life if they feel that they no longer have support from the policymakers, rather than be jerked around by people who think like John Kerry. And if the re-up rate goes down, original enlistments will probably decrease, too. Nobody wants to fight in a war that the movers and shakers don't want to win. That was true in Korea and Vietnam, and it's true now.
Any new trends should be apparent by March or so, if they are to happen. I guarantee you that any such change will be spun by the lamestream media as Bush's fault, probably accompanied by NYT and WaPo opinion pieces bemoaning what a dumb thing it was to get rid of Rumsfeld.
It sure would be interesting if Charlie Rangel's (D-NY) idea of reinstating the draft had to be implemented by a Democratic congress in order to maintain military force levels. I wonder what the political fallout from that would be in '08.
As an aside, I also think that diminished capacity of our conventional forces, especially the Army and Marines, tends to make nuclear war more likely, because weakness encourages the enemy to attack, and when you must fight, you fight with what you have. The alternative is capitulation.
It is indeed something to think about.

Thank You!
Veterans' Day will come and go
Quicker than the blink of an eye
But memories of heroes present and past
Will never, ever die.
The youth of today, do you understand?
The price brave men did pay
To preserve the freedom we enjoy
Each and every day.
They were called to duty, and so they went
Not knowing what was to be
Many came home, some never did
They sacrificed so we could be free.
How lonely some must have felt
How scared some had to be
They paid the bill with their own blood
What a great cost to be free.
The heroes of our country
Are the ones who paved the way
For freedom and the many rights
That we enjoy today.
Next time, young folks, you pass someone
Who may be old and gray
Remember — thanks to him or her
You have your freedom today.
Support our President, support our troops
Support our country, too
As they go fighting for what is right
For freedom the price is due.

November 11 is also General Patton's Birthday, but we never seem to remember that. Below is the famous "Patton Prayer" sent to the men of the Third Army December 8, 1944:
"Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies, and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen."

Amen

Ooops
An explosion destroyed the house of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) leader Talal Abu Safiyah late Thursday in Gaza City, apparently a "work accident" with explosives, Palestinian security officials said.
Two people were rescued alive from the rubble. The security officials said the blast was caused by explosives inside the house.
The PFLP said the house was hit by a missile fired from an Israeli F-16 warplane, but other Palestinians said they did not hear a warplane overhead.
The IDF said there was no airstrike.
There was as yet no information on whether Abu Safiyah was in the house at the time.
Doing the happy dance here.

Case Closed!
Female Kentucky National Guard soldiers who allegedly posed nude for pictures before being sent to Iraq will face nonjudicial, administrative sanctions rather than courts-martial, the Army said.

The women were not suspended and were "busy supporting the war effort," Maj. Jay Adams, chief of public affairs for the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), told The Courier-Journal of Louisville on Tuesday.
Administrative sanctions can include measures such as docking soldiers' pay or confining them to barracks. Adams said he could not release details because of federal privacy restrictions.
The Courier-Journal reported in September that the Army was investigating whether women assigned to the 410th Quartermaster Unit, based in Danville, had brought discredit to the military by agreeing to be photographed.
The newspaper said it had obtained a compact disc containing 232 photographs of at least a half-dozen nude and seminude women posing with military rifles and covering their breasts with American flag decals.
The unit shipped out for Iraq on Aug. 26. Eleven of the 107 soldiers in the unit are women.
Lt. Col. Phil Miller, a spokesman for the Kentucky Guard, said Tuesday that "as far as the leadership of the Kentucky National Guard is concerned, this incident is now closed."

The final word on all that
I've received way too many emails asking for my thoughts on the election. I've tried to put it into words, but found it difficult to express myself. Now, I find my good friend Vinnie, in expressing his own thoughts, has also expressed mine. Perfectly.
That is all.

Night of Broken Glass
On this day in 1938, Nazis looted and burned synagogues as well as Jewish-owned stores and houses in Germany and Austria in what became known as "Kristallnacht."
The term "Kristallnacht" ('Night of Broken Glass") refers to the organized anti-Jewish riots in Germany and Austria, November 9-10, 1938. These riots marked a major transition in Nazi policy, and were, in many ways, a harbinger of the "Final Solution."
Seventeen year old Herschel Grynszpan was living in Paris in the autumn of 1938 when his family in Hannover - father, mother, sister and brother - were among ten thousand Jews ruthlessly removed from their homes and deported to Poland in boxcars. His sister Berta managed to send a postcard to Herschel in Paris, describing the torments his family went through. Enraged by what he read, Herschel bought a pistol and went to the German Embassy in Paris on November 7, 1938, to take revenge and kill the ambassador, Count von Welczek. But the Third Secretary, Ernst vom Rath, was sent out to see what the young man wanted and Herschel shot him.
Herschel Grynszpan was arrested and in a poignant statement taken immediately after the arrest the young Jew told the police: "Being a Jew is not a crime. I am not a dog. I have a right to live and the Jewish people have a right to exist on this earth. Wherever I have been I have been chased like an animal." He declared that he had to avenge the Jews, to draw the attention of the world to what was happening in Germany.
For Adolf Hitler, the shooting in Paris provided an opportunity to incite Germans to "rise in bloody vengeance against the Jews." It supplied the pretext for massive Nazi pogroms launched against Jews in Germany, Austria and the Sudetenland - the orgy of Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass. The tide of anti-Semitism under Nazi rule was given impetus: in the next 24 hours Nazi storm troopers along with members of the SS and Hitler Youth beat and murdered Jews, broke into and wrecked Jewish homes, brutalized Jewish women and children, destroyed 265 synagogues, looted 7,500 Jewish businesses, smashed Jewish cemeteries, hospitals and schools. At least 96 Jews were killed and hundreds more injured, more than 1,000 synagogues were burned (and possibly as many as 2,000), almost 7,500 Jewish businesses were destroyed, cemeteries and schools were vandalized, and 30,000 Jews were arrested and sent to concentration camps.
The official German position on these events, was that they were spontaneous outbursts. The Fuehrer, Goebbels reported to Party officials in Munich, "has decided that such demonstrations are not to be prepared or organized by the party, but so far as they originate spontaneously, they are not to be discouraged either."
Kristallnacht was a crucial turning point in German policy regarding the Jews and may be considered as the actual beginning of what is now called the Holocaust.

There are important lessons to be drawn from Kristallnacht, for it served as a bridge experience for both Jews and Nazis. For the Jews, there was the terrifying realization that political antisemitism can lead to violence, even in Western Civilization. It also demonstrated that apathy can still pervade the world when the lives of Jews or other minorities are threatened.
For the Nazis, Kristallnacht taught that while the world might condemn their pogroms, it would not actively oppose them. World opinion, however, taught the Nazis the value of secrecy in the perpetration of future actions against Jews. Added to the complaints of Germans offended by the random violence of Kristallnacht, the stage was set for the "Final Solution"--the organized, bureaucratically efficient genocide of 6,000,000 men, women, and children.
In retrospect, Kristallnacht was more than the shattering of windows and illusions. It portended the physical destruction of European Jewry. As such, this commemoration must be observed both as a memorial and as a warning. -- Simon Wiesenthal Center

Channeling Bin Laden

First comes the de-funding of the War on Terror and then, we cut and run to Okinawa. As history repeats itself, what is the message to our enemies?

In our childhood… When we were young boys… I cannot forget the sight of the America forces leaving Viet Nam in helicopters, which carried their officers and soldiers. Some Vietnamese, who had fought alongside the Americans, tried to climb into these helicopters, but the [Americans] threw them to the ground, abandoned them, and left.
This is the sight I anticipate in our region.
...I advise all those who place their trust in the Americans to learn the lesson of Viet Nam. ...they will abandon them… just like they did to all those who placed their trust in them throughout history.
It's amazing how much he sounds like Bin Laden:
"You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew. The extent of your impotence and weaknesses has become very clear," he said. “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.” Osama Bin Laden, 1996 on the U.S. retreat from Somalia in 1993
“After leaving Afghanistan, the Muslim fighters headed for Somalia and prepared for a long battle thinking that the Americans were like the Russians. The youth were surprised at the low morale of the American soldiers and realized, more than before, that the American soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows……would run in defeat.” Osama Bin Laden, 1998
"We have seen in the last decade the decline of American power and the weakness of the American soldier who is ready to wage Cold Wars, but unprepared to fight long wars. This was proven in Beirut in 1983 when the Marines fled after two explosions. It also proves they can run in less than 24 hours, and this was also repeated in Somalia. Osama Bin Laden, 1998
We have reached the point when rhetoric becomes meaningless, and noble words ring hollow. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has suggested that there is a very high probability (70%) of a successful terrorist attack in America with weapons of mass destruction in the near future. Our illegal immigration policy increases that probability.
If the perception of American weakness persists in the minds of the Islamic fascists in Iraq or elsewhere, then we will be fighting them in our streets.
It's just a matter of time.

Kindred Thoughts
I visit Shining Full Plate and a Full Broadsword several times a week, looking for enlightenment. After a month's worth of silence, Sir Banagor has penned a piece called Exasperated. I devoured it this morning with my coffee.
I am pissed off, you see. I’m pissed off because I’m tired of listening to the wonders of the Arab world, if only they were given a chance with freedom. I’m not buying it. We’ve been burned before. Remember Iraq? I was one of the few people who came out and wrote that it was about the oil, in part, but it was also about breaking the back of the Muslim world before anything else. And I was one of the few people who said on my side that democracy mattered less to me than defeating them first. I’m all for democracy, after we defeat them. And by defeat them, I mean unconditional surrenders of entire nations, Imams, and whatever else passes for authority in that decaying swamp of religious and fascistic despotism.
Here we are, three and a half years after the Iraq war, and we’re still fighting this crap. I’m not going to put this entirely on Bush because it isn’t entirely his fault. He’s to blame for some of it, but our entire collective societies are to blame as well. We’re too fucking soft for our own good. We think, for some unknown reason, that the way to succeed in the world is to have universal love and adoration. What we don’t appear to understand is that nobody loves you, or anyone else, in the world. It’s a cold and hard world out there. It has always been this way. That’s what is called nature. This should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone out there trying to make it in the business world, or even politics. But, some time ago, we figured that when it comes to getting power and using it, different rules would apply.
What a dumbass mistake that was.
Amen! (I know, funny thing to say to an atheist but... well, Amen!)
We’ve been burned in Iraq because we don’t understand this basic point: before you can rebuild an enemy, you have to defeat them. I’ll explain for those whose minds are reeling right about now with the novelty of this idea: we’re not fighting Iraq, guys. We blew up the Iraqi army and disbanded it. That isn’t our problem. We didn’t go to Iraq just to take out Saddam’s army. In fact, we said we weren’t aiming to just take out his army. We, in fact, told them to stand aside and that they wouldn’t get shot at if they did. We did this in a deliberate attempt to show that we are not out to get the Iraqi army, or mostly anyone else’s army.
So, for those brainless fools out there who still don’t understand: if we’re not fighting the Iraqi army, then what the hell are we fighting?
Well, we’re fighting Islam. I’m sorry to say it, but it’s true. We’re fighting the entire Islamic world. Before anyone suggests a comment along the lines of “Not all Muslims are terrorists”, I’ll say that I agree - not all of them are. But according to all the deaths on the ground, one hell of a lot of them are. And since we’re fighting something over in Iraq, and it isn’t Saddam’s army, I’d say it’s high time we recognize what the hell we are doing over there.
It's a long read, what I've posted here is just the tip of the iceberg, but if you want to be enlightened, take the time to read every word.

Another warning from the palestinians
"Palestinians protest Saddam death sentence" and threaten America. Again.
Schoolgirls marched and shopkeepers closed down their stores in Jenin on Monday in protest at the death sentence handed down against Saddam Hussein by a Baghdad court which found him guilty of crimes against humanity.
Carrying pictures of Saddam, about 250 girls from seven to 13 years old paraded through the town's refugee camp, chanting "Beloved Saddam, strike Tel Aviv," the same slogan shouted by jubilant Palestinians when Iraqi rockets slammed into Israel during the 1991 Gulf War - before the marchers were born.
Under Saddam's rule Iraq donated $25,000 per household for Jenin residents to rebuild homes destroyed in a 2002 Israeli military offensive there.
In the Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, masked gunmen from a previously unknown group calling itself Arafat's Army threatened reprisals against foreign citizens in the Palestinian territories if the sentence against Saddam is carried out.
Reprisals?
"We warn the American administration and its collaborators not to hurt Saddam Hussein because ... we will target all foreigners, especially the Americans and their British supporters," one of the men said, without giving his name. "We warn all foreigners in the Gaza Strip, especially the Americans, that they will be kidnapped and killed in front of witnesses."
Yeah, right, as if palestinians have never done anything like that before!
Let us not forget, these are the same people passing out candy, and dancing in the street to celebrate 9/11.

Common Ground?
Ask yourself, what does Fox News have in common with Al Jazeera? Or, what does CNN, NBC, MGM, CBS, ESPN, AsiaNet, Eurosport, and MCNBC have in common with Al Jazeera? What does Reuters have in common with Al Jazeera?
The answer is... RRSat.
RRSat Global Communications Network Ltd. is an experienced comprehensive world-class provider of end-to-end transmission via satellites and production services to the global broadcasting industry. The company was founded in 1981 and operates under license from the Israeli Ministry of Communications.
Yup. You read that right.
Al Jazeera relies on an Israeli company to distribute its anti-Israel propaganda, including calls to boycott Israeli companies, and other companies that do business with Israel.
Irony is so... ironic.

The Price of Pork
If you want to know what we'll get if the Democrats take over, you really have to look at what they propose... and what they propose is 90 time more pork on useless and stupid socialist crap.
The nonpartisan National Taxpayers Union has the facts on spending:
* Potential Democratic Chairmen in the House of Representatives propose to spend over 90 times what their Republican counterparts propose. The average Democratic Chairman has a net annual agenda that would increase spending by $931 billion, compared to an average net agenda for a Republican Chairman of only $10 billion (even if the GOP retains control, new Chairs would be named due to retirements and term limits).
* In the Senate, the numbers are far lower, yet potential Democratic Chairmen still have endorsed over $40 billion in new outlays, in contrast with $12 billion for potential Republican Chairmen.

Will Franklin destroys the myth of a Republican Congress engaging in out-of-control spending: Would-be Democratic committee chairs have proposed, on average, 90 times the spending their Republican counterparts have proposed. Read it, and VOTE!
If you're sitting this one out to send a message, the only message the American media will hear is that you are ready for a left-wing agenda, with higher taxes and much higher spending, in this country.

UNIFIL - Getting the Job Done
You'll be glad to know that the UNIFIL peacekeeping force in Lebanon is doing one heck of a job with the terrorist forces of Hezbollah:
Despite the 20,000 troops deployed in southern Lebanon, the United Nations admits that weapons smuggling from Syria continues unhindered. A German report finds UNIFIL does not patrol after dark.
Hizbullah terrorists are free to roam at night without fear of being identified by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), according to a report by the German paper Der Spiegel.
UNIFIL commanders were interviewed by the paper, saying their function is to "observe changes in the behavior of the local population," with Spanish UNIFIL official Richard Ortax admitting that no patrols are carried out at night “because of the danger involved.”
One junior officer told Der Spiegel he was glad that his battalion only left their camp once. "It's absurd," he said. "We landed here and set up our tent city, but since then we've only left the camp to drive around and to make sure that we're seen."
The report cites a long tradition of UNIFIL inaction, which it says allowed time for a Finnish contingent to construct a giant sauna and an Indian contingent to decorate its base with tradition Indian artwork.
Fabulous! I don't know about you, but I'm truly heartened to know that there is finally a giant suana decorated with Indian artwork for UNIFIL to relax in during those dark and scary nights while the terrorists smuggle in weapons to slaughter Jews.
But, if you think that it's all fun and games for UNIFIL in Lebanon... think again!
UN and Israeli tanks were involved in a brief face-off Thursday on a road in southern Lebanon where the Israeli army has been setting up checkpoints, AFP correspondents said.
Four French Leclerc tanks with the UN peacekeepers moved up the hill to stand 500 meters (yards) from the entrance to the border village of Marwaheen, as two Israeli Merkava tanks operated nearby on Lebanese soil.
Standing some 50 metres (yards) apart, the tanks were locked in a 20-minute face-off, the first between the Israeli army and UNIFIL, which has been boosted to oversee the current truce.
The French tanks then withdrew, as observers of the UN Truce Supervision Organisation came to the scene.
I guess I missed the fine print of UN Resolution 1701 that called for keeping Israel out of the way while Hezbollah re-armed, but luckily for UNIFIL, they don't have to do that job all by themselves:
The Lebanese army even attempted to shoot down Israeli fighter jets.

Project Valour IT: Do it for the Captain!
Project Valour-IT is a simple idea with profound impact. It's grateful Americans, providing laptops with voice-activated software for severely wounded troops. Project Valour IT offers a way for us to tell them we have not forgotten their sacrifices, and that is truly priceless. In many, many ways what we are trying to do is reconnect them to the world; remind them that they are not alone. That they still have something to contribute, that they are still a vital part of this nation, and that even though they may have lost parts of themselves that they can never recover, though they may temporarily be feeling hopeless, helpless, even alone, they aren't.
Someone remembers. Someone still cares. And when they get out of the hospital, America will find a way for them to rejoin the community and be useful again. For a wounded vet facing traumatic and painful injuries, that knowledge alone is beyond price.
Please dig deep. You cannot know the value of the hope your small contributions can bring to those who have already given so much on our behalf.
And, as long as you're here, hit the button for the Marines Fundraising Team.
Your choice. For incentive, the Army Team has to rely on snark and the Marines Team... well... we have a little more to offer...
