Armed America

Next year, you'll find this book on my coffee table:

The question of gun ownership in America is a fractious one. Even the number of guns in the country is in significant debate. The National Rifle Association (NRA), the country's largest pro-gun lobbying group, quotes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE)'s estimate that in 1999 there were about 215,000,000 guns in America and one gun in about half of the households in the country. The Brady Campaign (the nation's leading anti-gun coalition) estimates there are 192,000,000 guns in America, owned by 39% of the population.

This isn't a book about guns. It's a book about people.

What is keeping the jackboots of the left from barging in, attacking and arresting you on some trumpted up charge? Knowledge that they will die if they try. Our Constitution separates us from the demise of the Venezuelian, or North Korean governments, the same kind of government that Pelosi & Co. want for us. Two border agents are in prison and one more under arrest for defending the country and enforcing the law, our citizens had better pray that more Americans arm themselves, because more than half of them won't lift a finger to help themselves or those that defend them.

What is ironic is how many anti-gunners want guns when they are frightened. Like during the LA riots and people found out that by law they had to wait 5 days to purchase a handgun.

A friend here in South Florida always gets called that "gun nut"... until after a hurricane then people want to make sure he is around for security.

Interesting photo. Might buy the book if it's sold over here.

I don't object to the right to bear arms for defence but the glorifying of guns and also the range of models that seem to be available to the general public, many which I wouldn't class as defence wepons, is an issue of concern for me. Whatever the case, checks need to be rigorous.

Look at all the models of TVs, autos, appliances etc, why are you so worried about all the models of firearms?
