Shield it with Your loving kindness, envelop it in Your peace, and bestow Your light and truth upon its leaders, ministers, and advisors, and grace them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land, grant them deliverance, and adorn them in a mantle of victory.

Ordain peace in the land and grant its inhabitants eternal happiness. Who'da thunk it?

Yesterday, I received this little ray of sunshine:

Congratulations, you have won a Thinking Blogger Award!

Not just a meme, but an irresistable meme, and it came from my bestest buddy Wild Thing. Although I'm not much one for memes, (I've only done one a couple of years ago, because I was tagged by Dorman and it was all about music) I don't see how I can possibly resist it.

So, I'm supposed to pass the award to five other blogs that "make me think" (and who haven't been tagged already), and link to the original post.

I kinda wish it were blogs that make me laugh, but if there's a meme for that, please don't tag me.

Okay... here goes... in no particular order...

1. The one and only Patrick al-Kafir at Clarity & Resolve, who has the blog I'd like to have, if only I was as witty, clever, charming and good looking...

2. The Sultan Knish, who writes so well on the issues that I care the most about.

3. AbbaGav, whose hard hitting and biting commentary pumps me up, and who should have won that other award I nominated him for. Sorry my frined, but this is the best I can do!

4. The original, not to be imitated, Van Helsing of Moonbattery, summing up the insanity in this crazy world we live in.

5. Finally, my dear friend Alan at Anti-Mullah, where you will always find the insight and information you want and need about Iran.

So, there you have it my friends, five people who make me think. If you are one of the five, congrats and go read the rules so you can participate.

and now... I'm late for work!

Let's pull out of Iraq!

Yes! Let's do it for the children...

Near the shops, a group of children — Sunni and Shia — were playing football on an empty site. As Selim, his wife and brother, walked past, two cars pulled up. Four or five men in tracksuits got out and opened their car boots. They pulled out belt-fed BKC machineguns, a weapon known in Iraq as “the harvester” for its ability to kill lots of people quickly.

“We heard the shooting of the machineguns. It was so loud and continuous we thought they were targeting us,” said the 28-year-old Shia, his eyes red and brimming with pain.

But they were not the targets.

“I started looking, and they are shooting the kids,” he said. “Eight of the kids already fell on the ground. The guys kept shooting, they just wanted to make sure everyone was dead.”

Yeah yeah, I know, those are just extremists and your average moslem wouldn't do such a thing...

As the killers drove away unharmed the local men rushed home to fetch their guns. Instead of trying to catch the gunmen or help their victims, Sunnis began shooting at Shia houses and Shias began firing on Sunnis.

“It was so horrible, you saw neighbours who’d been sitting outside together shooting at each other,” Selim said.

What, is this the moslem version of a block party with your neighbors? A friendly little shootout and kill-fest? Is this why they call it the Religion of Peace?

As the neighbours blasted away at each other no one dared to venture out to help the children bleeding on the makeshift pitch for two hours, until people started to run out of ammunition. It was only when the firing subsided that the nine small bodies were picked up and taken to the mortuary of Yarmouk hospital.

Yeah, its the Religion of Peace. Yeah. Sure.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but somehow, never got around to it.

Click on that, watch the film, sign the petition. It can't hurt, and it might help.

Thank you Vince, for the reminder! It's nice to know you're my neighbor!

How the left supports the troops

Yeah, I heard about it, moonbats burning a soldier in effigy. I knew the video was out there, but somehow, I managed to avoid watching it. Mostly because I knew how it would make me feel. So. I finally watched it at Rodger's. Have you? If not, you should. Everyone in America should.

"Build a bonfire, put the soldiers on the top.
Put the fascists in the middle. Burn the fucking lot.
"

This is not free speech. This is treason. This is inciting hatred and a call for violence against members of the United States Military.

Everyone in America, everyone, knows a soldier serving now, or who has served, or maybe just getting back or just on their way. The soldier they burned in effigy, that could be your son or your daughter, your father or your mother, your sister or your brother, your neice or your nephew, your neighbor, your co-worker, your friend.

They are expressing their desire to hurt, torture and yes, to kill, the soldiers who protect their freedom, my freedom, your freedom. The soldiers who I love, the soldiers that are your sons, your daughters, your fathers, your mothers, your sisters or brothers, your neices or nephews, your neighbors, your co-workers, your friends.

Yes, these are your anti-war liberals, part and parcel of the democrat party. Their elected "leaders" in the house have just voted to force our troops to surrender to the enemy as early as next year. Hang in there terrorists, the democrats are fighting for you.

Do you stand with them against the war, against our country, against our troops? I don't and because I don't, I mock them. I call them moonbats, and I ridicule them. But how do you make fun of something as horrible as this? I see this, and I want to give them what they say they already have, a fascist state where people such as this are locked behind bars, in dark, dank cells, denied contact with the world, tortured even, and made to suffer.

I shudder to think that this is really the face of America's future. If it is, then we are truly doomed.

The Jerusalem Post screwed up

when they went with this headline:

"'Former US sailor assisted terrorists'"

The headline should have read:

"Moslem terrorist infiltrated the U.S. Military, spied for Al-Qaida"

Although a better headline would be:

"Moslem Terrorist shot dead while trying to escape"

Wake up America!

Today's Racist Post

Brought to you by... The LA Times:

AS EVERY CARBON-BASED life form on this planet surely knows, Barack Obama, the junior Democratic senator from Illinois, is running for president. Since making his announcement, there has been no end of commentary about him in all quarters — musing over his charisma and the prospect he offers of being the first African American to be elected to the White House.

But it's clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the "Magic Negro."

The Magic Negro is a figure of postmodern folk culture, coined by snarky 20th century sociologists, to explain a cultural figure who emerged in the wake of Brown vs. Board of Education. "He has no past, he simply appears one day to help the white protagonist," reads the description on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_Negro .

He's there to assuage white "guilt" (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest.

Despite my Jewish sense of responsibility, I don't feel any white guilt whatsoever, except... maybe I should for posting this little ditty:

Barack the Magic Negro

nah. If Rush can do, so can I! Thanks Paul, for the song! and thanks Ken... for the tip!

Add this to the Boycott of Israeli Products!

'Cause the world don't need no steenkin' water:

"Sokol is a sweet water purification system for emergencies and crises which can purify water in a much bigger amount," explained Shani. "In a situation like the New Orleans flood when the water was contaminated, water can be loaded in to the Sokol tank, it goes through the Sulis process and within a half hour, you have 100 liters of fresh drinking water."

"It's really a universal solution to the problem of contaminated drinking water."

"Above everything else, the product we've developed is going to save lives," explained Yossi Sandak, the CEO of Watersheer, the Israeli company which has developed the Sulis PPS. "Over 1.6 million children under the age of five die each year in the undeveloped world from drinking untreated water. What we have is a solution to reduce death in the world that is not a medical solution, but simply providing people with clean drinking water."

Of course, if you're boycotting Israel and you happen to be thirsty, islam has the answer:

Bottoms up!

Sigh

07.03.20.Emblematic-X.gif

Iraq steps up anti-Israel boycott.

The US-backed Iraqi government is enforcing the Arab boycott of Israel with increasing frequency, The Jerusalem Post has learned, with the number of boycott-related incidents involving US firms operating in Iraq nearly quadrupling last year, according to official US statistics. ...

US law bars American firms from complying with boycott-related requests and requires them to report any such incidents to the authorities. These might include demands made of companies to verify that their products do not contain components made in the Jewish state or signing forms attesting that they do not do business with Israel.

What can I say? Read the article below this one, about the euroweenies and tell me, when will the world wake up?

Why is it that all the rules change when it comes to Israel, the only place on earth where terrorists are partners in peace? Why does my country kill terrorists who kill Iraqis in Iraq and support terrorists who kill Jews in Israel?

In 2006, international aid to palestinians and its terrorist government rose from $1 billion in 2005 to more than $1.2 billion in 2006. (and that's not counting some $68 million smuggled into Gaza by Hamas officials in 2006). Despite its vow not to support a Hamas government, the United States contributed $468 million last year, up from $400 million in 2005.

This shames me and there are days when I am overwhelmed by the urge to Aliyah.

This is one of them.

Posted by LindaSoG at 08:11 PM | Comments (1)

Irony is so... Ironic

So. It seems that the Euroweenies who came to Gaza specifically to keep the evil joos from oppressing the peaceful palestinians, are now terrified that the peaceful palestinians will slaughter them and have turned to the evil joos for rescue!

The European Union monitors who so enthusiastically took up positions on the Gaza-Egypt border in 2005 to help make sure Israel could not close it for security reasons no longer want to be there.

The monitors have raised concerns for their safety following a number of threats to their lives over the past few weeks. An Israeli defense official reportedly told The Jerusalem Post that a bomb was found on a road frequented by the monitors in Gaza several weeks ago.

"They are genuinely concerned for their lives," a senior defense official said of the EU monitors.

The head of the 80-man EU team, Italian Maj.-Gen. Pietro Pistolese, met last week with IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi to plot an escape route should the Palestinians decide to attack them.

The meeting came before the scheduled signing of an agreement to extent the group's permission to monitor in Gaza for another year. The agreement was first signed following Israel's withdrawal from Gaza in 2005.

"They want to know that we will help them escape if the need arises," the Israeli defense official said, according to The Jerusalem Post. He added, "Their concerns are understandable if you take into account the large number of threats they face."

The escape proposal that was reportedly accepted would have the Europeans make a dash for the security fence that separates Gaza from southern Israel, where the much-maligned IDF would then rescue them from the oncoming hordes of peace-loving Palestinians.

YCMTSU!

Of course, the UN pulled out of Gaza earlier this month after peaceful palestinians tried to kidnap John Ging, head of U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, and when that failed, fired 11 bullets at his car as he tried to drive off.

Military Families: don't trust Montel!

That bastard!

If you're in the military or have family in the military, you may have received what—on the surface—appears to be an appealing offer, to appear on the Montel Williams show for a sympathetic episode about your perspective as a military family. If you're aware that Montel is himself a veteran, you might feel safe in agreeing to appear on his show.

Don't feel safe. Montel sold out. He's just as bad as any other lying, politically motivated media figure who looks down on the military and thinks of your life and sacrifice as nothing more than a political football and a way to get ratings.

They're lying to you. They're waiting to ambush you with their own agenda, embarrass you on national TV, and make you out to be weak, vulnerable, exploited dopes. They want to use you as a tool to attack your chain of command and our elected leaders. As milblogger airforcewife on military.com's SpouseBuzz tells it, they've already tried it on one brave group of military families, who responded by letting them have it and walked out on the taping. It looks like they haven't given up, and they lack all sense of shame, honor, or dignity—they're trying to round up more unwary, trusting people to feed to the wolves. Don't be Montel's sucker! And let them know exactly what you think of their dishonest tactics. Call producer Michelle Pearson at (800) 987-5446, extension 392, and give her a piece of your mind. Or email her your thoughts at m_pearson@montelshow.com. Do either or both of these things-but the last thing you should do, right after joining the Taliban, is agree to appear on this exploitative liar's show and help his vicious agenda.

Shame on you, Montel Williams.

Airforcewife's experience with the Montel show is here, and it sent my blood pressure through the roof. Read it, and yes... pass it along to your Military friends.

No need to worry...

I'm sure its just another troubled youth...

PARKLAND -- A small homemade acid bomb detonated at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Tuesday morning and several people were treated for irritations from a flying liquid, the Broward Sheriff's Office said. There were no serious injuries.

The school at 5901 Pine Island Road was immediately placed on lockdown. The lockdown ended around 9:30 a.m., when parents were allowed to pickup their children and take them home.

No one is in custody.

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when the homemade device in a liter soda bottle exploded in the middle of a courtyard at the high school just before it was scheduled to open.

BSO said five or six students were treated for mild skin irritations from flying liquid – probably muriatic acid – that mostly splashed on their arms and from smoke that irritated some eyes. No other injuries were reported. Paramedics treated students at the scene and the BSO Bomb Squad was called in.

"It's a big deal, but luckily no one got hurt," said BSO Commander Dave Carry.

Sure, it's a big deal, but not big enough so that you'll see it on the national news.

UPDATE: Yup, it was a troubled youth.

Summing up

I couldn't go, for a variety of reasons. But like you, I've seen a ton of pictures and read a ton of commentary by those who did, my heart swelling with pride for the patriots and vets who stood up to the moonbats. But, by way of Misha, I found a bit of commentary at Tantor's Conservative Propaganda, who faced down the likes of this:

I found that at Tantor's and you won't see it on the front page of the New York Times!

Tantor summed up the experience in some of the best commentary I've read on the topic. So, run along and read what he had to say and check out the rest of his photos. You won't be sorry.

No intelligent, rational, decent person is for war

Today, I tip my hat to the one and only Dr. Laura who, in response to a wounded soldier's comments about his family and how they felt about the war, had this to say:

Anybody who doesn’t show absolute respect for what we’re trying to do, who’s using Iraq and Afghanistan and all the rest of this simply for political power, are becoming more and more like Al Qaeda and Taliban in their thinking. And that’s what I watch when I see Republicans, sub-Republicans, Democrats, sub-Democrats, all of this fighting - it’s only for elections and power. It isn’t for what is good for the world or for America. I don’t believe that for a minute! I see people saying the most God-awful things strictly for power.

No intelligent, rational, reasonable, decent person is for war. No intelligent, rational, decent person is for war. But if my father and your fathers didn’t go off to fight World War II, I would have been incinerated in a German concentration camp oven. So I’m very grateful to the guys who didn’t believe in war, but fought it to protect the free world from vile evil. And that is exactly what’s going on now. Militant Islam is vile evil. Every day, they’re blowing up their own people for power. It’s inhuman. And you really believe we shouldn’t stop that?

Should we go to Africa when one tribe tries to eliminate another? It’s funny….some of the same Hollywood types who say we should go to Africa and stop one tribe from eliminating another don’t seem to understand what’s going on in the Middle East. But this gentleman who called, my son, your sons and daughters, your fathers, your brothers, your children, are fighting the good fight. Am I for war? Are you nuts? Who in their right mind would be? But the rest of the world doesn’t necessarily show evidence of being in its right mind.

When I hear pain in a soldier who then says he would go back…do you realize this is a volunteer army, and we have guys re-enlisting to go back three, four times? Because they’re over there and they see the danger, and they know that they’re just watching CNN spin or the New York Times spin-they know what’s going down. They’re watching body parts fly all over the place as one Islamic group kills another Islamic group - men, women, and children.

That's not all Dr. Laura had to say, go read the rest, and pass it on...

Remembering Rachel

On March 16, 2003, in the town of Rafah in southern Gaza, Rachel Corrie, 23, an "international peace protester," dropped to her knees in front of an Israeli bulldozer during an IDF anti-terrorism action. She was squished flat, and therefore shall forever be known as St. Pancake.

On the anniversary of her squishing, rather than think about a stupid, brainwashed, terrorist apologist, I'll spend the day thinking about a few other Rachels, all of whom were murdered by the palestinian terrorists who were Rachel Corrie's friends:

Rachel Thaler, 16, was enjoying dinner with her
14-year old brothers and friends at an Israeli
pizzeria when a palestinian bomber detonated
himself at the restaurant.

Rachel Levi, 19, murdered when a Palestinian
rammed a bus into a crowded Israel bus stop,
killing Rachel and five others on February 14, 2001.

Rachel Levy, 17, was a high-school student
who was killed when a Palestinian suicide
bomber detonated herself at an Israeli supermarket.
Her death came on the heels of the death of Rachel's
cousin one month earlier in a terrorist shooting.

Rachel Charhi, 36, was killed when a
Palestinian terrorist detonated himself in a
café in Israel on April 4, 2002.

Rachel Gavish, 50, was murdered by a Palestinian
terrorist who infiltrated her home in Israel,
shooting dead Rachel, her husband David,
her son and Rachel's father.

Rachel Kol, 53, who worked for 20 years
in the neurology lab at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital,
was murdered with her husband in a drive-by shooting by the Fatah.

Rachel Ben Abu, 16, killed with her teenage friends by a suicide
bomber at the Netanya shopping mall, in July 2005 (in the midst
of a supposed Palestinian truce)

Rachel Shabo, 40, (top right) and three of her sons
were murdered on June 20, 2002 when a Palestinian
terrorist entered the family home and opened fire.

If you want the truth about Rachel Corrie's death, The Rachel Corrie Round-up is here, and here is a list of other murders by Rachel Corrie's friends.

From Naomi Ragen

Friends,

Who can forget David Hatuel, the young father from Gush Katif whose beautiful wife Tali and four beautiful daughters were murdered in cold blood by a Palestinan terrorist, who opened fire on the pregnant mother and her four little girls, killing them all as they sat in their car?

Tali Hatuel, with her daughters.

As we think back on the events of the Intifada, so many horrors, nevertheless this stands out in our minds as the ultimate expression of barbarity from our enemies, and the ultimate challenge to our strength to continue our lives in the land of our forefathers.

David, quiet, modest, said that he had two choices: To disintegrate and fall, or to live. He chose life. A year ago, he remarried. Today, 37 year-old David holds in his arms another baby girl, born of his second marriage to Limor, an occupational therpist.

This is the ultimate answer we Jews have to give our enemies. This is our secret, why we are still here when so many other peoples have become extinct. It is David Hatuel's answer: choose life. Rebuild.

May God bless him and his wife and child with every blessing known to mankind. My he and his kind flourish and prosper, and give example to the rest of mankind.

And may our enemies, who choose death and destruction, reap what they sow.

This just in... from Poland

Just dayum, but this makes my day:

WARSAW, Poland — An anti-Zionist rabbi who attended a conference in Iran that questioned the Holocaust said Wednesday he was beaten while in Poland by Jews furious at him for his actions.

Moishe Arye Friedman, who lives in Vienna, Austria, was attacked last Friday in Lezajsk, a small town in southeastern Poland. His attackers included Yehuda Meshi-Zahav, a member of the Israeli humanitarian group ZAKA, and two others, Friedman said in a telephone interview.

Meshi-Zahav, an orthodox Israeli Jew, confirmed to The Associated Press in a brief telephone interview from Jerusalem that he had been among Friedman's attackers.

Meshi-Zahav told Israel's Maariv newspaper that he and his friends had just paid an emotionally distressing visit to the Nazi death camp Auschwitz and were incensed to see Friedman.

"With every blow I felt like I was speaking in the name of the Jewish people," the paper quoted him as saying.

His attack came during annual commemorations for an 18th century Hassidic rabbi buried in Lezajsk, which were attended by both Friedman and Meshi-Zahav.

"I was attacked with such brutality," said Friedman, 35, who said he was kicked and punched. He said he was badly bruised and still recovering at his home in Vienna.

Friedman said that his attacker yelled out "he's the one from the pictures of Ahmadinejad!" before beating him.

Meshi-Zahav told Maariv newspaper he had heard Friedman was at the event and went with a friend to find him.

"We gave him a good beating, the kind we haven't given out for a long time," Maariv quoted Meshi-Zahav as saying, adding that others in the crowd joined in the attack shouting "go to Ahmadinejad" before Friedman was aided by local policemen.

Police confirmed responding to the incident but did not report any arrests.

A thousand thank yous to Austin Petree, who tipped me to the story in my comments.

La la la...

Teach your children well

Rim al-Riyashi, a resident of Gaza from a well-to-do family, 23, married and the mother of two small children, was recruited by Hamas and was the first Palestinian mother to carry out a suicide bombing attack . She blew herself up at the workers' crossing point at the Erez industrial zone by fooling the female soldiers who examined her.

"It was always my wish to turn my body into deadly shrapnel against the Zionists and to knock on the doors of heaven with the skulls of Zionists." - Rim al-Riyashi

So much for the myth that they do such things because they are poor and desperate and oppressed. Rim's legacy? Meet the children she left behind:

Interviewer: Let's talk with the two children of the jihad-fighting martyrdom-seeker Rim Al-Riyashi - Dhoha and Muhammad. Dhoha, you love mama, right? Where did mama go?

Dhoha: To Paradise.

Interviewer: What did mama do?

Dhoha: She committed martyrdom.

Interviewer: She killed Jews, right?

Interviewer: How many did she kill, Muhammad?

Muhammad: Huh?

Interviewer: How many Jews did mama kill?

Muhammad: This many...

Interviewer: How many is that?

Muhammad: Five.

Interviewer: Do you love mama? Do you miss mama? Where is mama, Muhammad?

Muhammad: In Paradise.

If children learn what they live, what have these children learned? What can we expect of them when they come of age? Can we expect this generation to seek peace with its neighbors?

I haven't seen 300 yet, but I'm really enjoying the commentary, and especially this from Beth at MVRWC:

What visionary artists! Oh, perhaps you’d like something more in the documentary style? I mean it’s not like 300 was a documentary, but the Iranians have all sorts of film that portrays their true genius!

Oh yes, there's more, so go get the rest!

Who's sorry now?

Pelosi hears boos at AIPAC

Members of the main pro-Israel lobbying group offered scattered boos to a statement by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that the Iraq war has been a failure on several scores.

The boos, mixed with some polite applause, stood in stark contrast to the reception House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) received minutes earlier. Most of the crowd of 5,000 to 6,000 stood and loudly applauded Boehner when he said the U.S. had no choice but to win in Iraq.

Pelosi and Boehner were speaking at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) annual meeting. AIPAC has not taken a position on the war in Iraq or the supplemental spending bill to be considered this week by the House Appropriations Committee, but much of Boehner’s speech was about the future of the Iraq conflict.

Boehner sought to link the fight in Iraq to the future of Israel, as he said a failure in Iraq would pose a direct threat to Israel.

Pelosi said the U.S. military campaign in Iraq had to be judged on three accounts: whether it makes the U.S. safer, the U.S. military stronger and the region more stable.

“The war in Iraq fails on all three counts,” Pelosi said. Some of the crowd applauded before catcalls and boos could be heard.

Thirty-nine hours

Long before 911 and long before the 1993 WTC bombing, islam was among us:

"A girl came in screaming, 'There are men with guns!' " Ehrlich, 83, recalled. She and others locked themselves in her boss's office, she said. "The next thing we heard were men coming in and saying, 'Unlock the door or we're going to kill you all.' "

They shattered a glass panel in the door and then took everyone downstairs, she said. "When I entered the second floor, there were bodies on top of bodies. I thought everyone was dead," she said.

One of the captors told them that "if anyone does anything wrong, he'll cut their head and throw it out of the window," she recalled.

It happened in our Nation's Capital, Washington D.C. I was 16 years old, and I lived in Brooklyn. Do I remember? No.

The siege started March 9, 1977, at a time when security was still relaxed in government buildings and hostage videos weren't a few clicks away on the Internet. It was before people searched mail for white powder or suicide bombings claimed regular headlines.

"This was an early wake-up call about violence and terrorism and the extent to which groups will go to engage in violence either for the sake of violence or to make a point," Daniel S. Mariaschin, executive vice president of B'nai B'rith International, said yesterday. "Little did we know 30 years ago that this kind of issue would be a daily concern for all of us, not only here in Washington but abroad as well." He will speak at today's event.

The 12 gunmen had several demands. They wanted the government to hand over a group of men who had been convicted of killing seven relatives -- mostly children -- of takeover leader Hamaas Abdul Khaalis. They also demanded that the movie "Mohammad, Messenger of God" be destroyed because they considered it sacrilegious.

Most of the hostages, more than 100, were captured at the B'nai B'rith headquarters.

A journalist was killed, and Marion Barry was shot in the chest.

Hamaas Abdul Khaalis, formerly known as Ernest T. McGee, joined the Nation of Islam in an attempt to bring the sect into line with orthodox Sunni Islam. By 1956, he had become national secretary. His efforts proved unsuccessful, so in 1958, he broke with Elijah Muhammad and founded the Al-Hanif, Hanafi, Madh-Hob Center, Islam Faith, United States of America, American Mussulmans. Based in Washington DC, the Hanafis still adhere to the basic tenets of Sunni Islam.

On January 5th 1973, Khaalis sent a proclamation to a number of mosques (including Philadelphia's Temple 12) in which he excoriated Elijah Mohammad and the Black Muslims. Calling them "false prophets" and denouncing Elijah Mohammad as "a lying deceiver". On January 17th the Black Mafia crew invaded Khaalis' home. Khaalis was out. Over a period of hours seven members of his family were slaughtered, including four infants between the ages of 9 days and 22 months. The babies were drowned in a bathtub and sink. When one enforcer had qualms and asked another why the babies had to die, the answer was "because the seed of the hypocrite is in them".

Another bloody, painful chapter in American history brought to you by the death cult of islam.

Should you Vote?

It seems that a good many people shouldn't

DontVote.org

People should Vote, but only AFTER they have educated themselves on the policies and individuals for which they are voting. Voting should be considered a privilege and exercised with responsibility and discretion. Just like a final exam, responsible voting requires self-education and thought. When the time comes to cast your ballot, if you don't know for what or whom you're voting, then DON'T VOTE.

I didn't think I'd do this well... I missed Paris Hilton!

Shabbat Shalom

Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption.

Lead them, swiftly and upright, to Your city Zion and to Jerusalem, the abode of Your Name, as is written in the Torah of Your servant Moses: “Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your fathers.”

Draw our hearts together to revere and venerate Your name and to observe all the precepts of Your Torah, and send us quickly the Messiah son of David, agent of Your vindication, to redeem those who await Your deliverance.

Manifest yourself in the splendor of Your boldness before the eyes of all inhabitants of Your world, and may everyone endowed with a soul affirm that the Lord, God of Israel, is king and his dominion is absolute.

Amen

Question of the day:

Why can't we just kill our enemies?

Electromagnetic Personnel Interdiction Control, or "EPIC"

The idea is that intense radio-frequency emissions – capable of passing through walls – would be used to temporarily disrupt the balance and coordination functions of targets' inner ears, knocking them down relatively harmlessly.

The Navy notes that "second order effects would be extreme motion sickness," suggesting that in fact the order given by future Captain Kirks may be "set phasers on 'puke'".

Our enemies try to kill us and we try to make them puke.

The intention of the programme is to avoid unnecessary harm to the target, but unconscious vomiting would seem to present something of a choking hazard.

Oh, the horrors of war.

An unlikely islamotard

Doaa Fares believed she could be somebody other than herself: a 17-year old high-school dropout from a deeply conservative Druze village, where most women marry young and settle into traditional roles. The striking brunette with sea-green eyes and pouting lips changed her name to Angelina and entered the Miss Israel beauty pageant hoping to be crowned queen, a title that comes with a cash prize, modelling contract and a car.

Instead, Angelina — the first Druze to compete in the pageant — was threatened with death, allegedly by two uncles and other men from her village who accused her of disgracing the family name with promiscuous behaviour.

When police uncovered the apparent plot to kill her last week, Ms Fares disappeared into protective custody. When she emerged from hiding she announced that she was withdrawing from the competition, fearing for her life.

“My life is much more important than a contest, but it’s very difficult for me to give up my dream,” she said, sitting in the darkened living room of her family home in this small Galilean village. She is too frightened to answer her mobile phone or leave the house.

Last week, police received a tip that a group of men in the village, including two of Ms Fares’s uncles, were plotting to kill her. Anwar and Hatem Fares allegedly hired two men to buy guns and a third man to murder their niece. She was taken into protective custody and all five men were jailed.

The Fares family refused to press charges against the uncles, and they were released.

-----
The cancer that is islam, a symptom of which is "honor killing," is spreading to other cultures. Druze are not moslem, yet "Angelina" let the uncles who tried to murder her to protect their own honor go free, claiming that "These are people who love me and I love them."

I met Ron Jeremy at a party in Key West several years ago. I talked to him for a while, about this and that and later, someone told me who he was and what he did for a living. I had no idea!

He seemed so... normal and to tell the truth, kind of boring.

Just stay home Harry

Terrorists have vowed to kidnap or kill Prince Harry when he fights in Iraq, it is reported.

The 22-year-old is due to be sent out in May with colleagues from the Blues and Royals regiment.

Threats have been posted on extremist websites since his deployment was revealed, The Sun says.

One message said: "Prince Harry will be sent to Iraq to be killed by Muslims."

Another added: "May Allah give him what he deserves - like his fellow crusaders."

Army officials fear the Prince will be paraded on television if he is kidnapped.

The prince will serve in armoured vehicles A Blues and Royals source told the paper: "Officially Harry is being treated just like any other soldier but in reality everyone knows how desperate the insurgents out there will be to get their hands on him."

Internet terror expert Neil Doyle was quoted as saying: "Harry would be the ultimate prize for one of these insurgent groups.

"He would be worth his weight in gold in propaganda terms if killed or captured."

From the end of May, the prince will be patrolling in Scimitar armoured reconnaissance vehicles in Maysan.

Harry will this week pose as a hooded hostage in a special training exercise, the paper says.

His men will use tear gas and stun grenades to free him.

-------
I respect you, Harry for wanting to serve and for not wanting to be coddled just because you're the prince, but for crying out loud, like it or not, you are not the average soldier, you will be a number one target for terrorists, your presence in Iraq will excite the enemy, and there will be increased attacks across the board in an effort to get you.

Stop thinking of yourself and your determination to be treated like everyone else. You are not everyone else and what you insist on doing is not only increasing the risk for your unit, but for all troops on the ground.

This war is not about you and going over there is going to make it about you. What you are doing is just plain selfish.

and your little dress rehearsal is no preparation for what you are going to face and if you think it will prepare you in the event of capture, think again.

For the sake of the troops, stay home Harry! There are plenty of other things you can do to support the effort.

Another American Moslem

Or maybe just another troubled youth.

03/05/07 -- ORANGE COUNTY) - Authorities in Orange County had their hands full keeping Mohammed Taheri-azar in line while in court.

Taheri-azar is accused of driving a sport utility vehicle through a crowd of UNC students last March.

Monday he was in court to discuss letters he wrote to Eyewitness News and other news organizations from prison shortly after the attack. In those letters he admitted to driving his vehicle into "The Pit" at UNC to avenge the deaths of Muslims around the world.

During today's hearing, Taheri-azar yelled "death to America" as he entered the Orange County courtroom. "I hate all Americans," he said. "All Jews. May they all burn in hell. Death to Israel," yelled Taheri-azar.

Come on buddy, tell us how you really feel!

Thirty-Seven Years Ago

March 6, 1970 at 11:55 a.m.

Three members of the radical activist group known as the Weather Underground, Diana Oughton, Ted Gold and Terry Robbins, blew themselves straight to hell when the bomb they were building, which was intended to blow up a dance at Fort Dix, exploded in an otherwise quiet New York neighborhood.

Had they been better bomb-makers, instead of killing themselves, they would have killed an untold number of American soldiers. In the name of peace.

Luckily, the Weathermen's expertise at bomb-making left much to be desired.

The Weathermen's hatred of the United States manifested itself in the bombings of the U.S. Capitol building, New York City Police Headquarters, the Pentagon, and the National Guard offices in Washington, D.C. The Weathermen's leader, Bill Ayers summed up the Weathermen's ideology as follows: "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents."

The Weathermen were radicals. They wanted their people to get involved, demonstrate, get arrested and force change down the throat of the "establishment." They fought at the Democratic Presidential Convention in 1968 and converged in Chicago in 1969 for an event that came to be known as "Days of Rage." The more violent extremists during that era were responsible for a score of bombings in places like Harvard University, various corporate headquarters and a number of government institutions. They praised Charles Manson and freed Dr. Timothy Leary from prison. Wherever there was violence and chaos in the name of dissent, the Weathermen were there.

Meet Bernadine Dohrn, leader of the Weather Underground:

IMG: Dohrn mugshotAt a "War Council" in Flint, Michigan in 1969, their leader Bernardine Dohrn praised the serial murderer Charles Manson: "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim's stomach. Wild." She then proclaimed that the time had come to launch the war against "Amerikkka" (the Weathermen always spelled America this way) and to form a Weather Underground to carry out terrorist activities.

The Weathermen claimed credit for 25 bombings over the next several years. They set bombs at the rebuilt Haymarket statue; a bathroom at the Pentagon; the Capitol barber shop; the New York City police headquarters; and a variety of other targets.

Dohrn's husband, Bill Ayers confessed that the bomb that killed the aforementioned Weather Underground members in New York was an anti-personnel weapon filled with nails and screws that would have killed or injured many at the Fort Dix dance. Ayers has recently, publicly acknowledged his feeling that his group should, in his opinion, have set off even more bombs.

For those of you who might be wondering where the rest of the Weathermen are, you need only look to our Universities, Bar Associations, and, the ACLU. That’s right. The ACLU. The unrepentant Dohrn is currently a law professor at Northwestern University. She also serves on the Board of the American Civil Liberties Union and committees of the American Bar Association. Her husband, and co-leader of the Weathermen Bill Ayers, is now Professor of Education at the University of Illinois. Teaching our children. Dig it.

Dohrn, Ayers and other members of the Weather Underground are currently under investigation in connection with a police officer killed by a bomb in 1970.

If they are indicted, they will likely have an easy time finding a lawyer since Ramsey Clark is no longer busy in Iraq, and Lynne Stewart, who has represented other members of the Weather Underground, received only a slap on the hand after her conviction for helping terrorists by smuggling messages of violence from one of her imprisoned clients -- the radical Egyptian sheik behind the 1993 WTC Bombing-- to his terrorist disciples on the outside.

Oh, and by the way... Weather Underground member Susan Rosenberg, implicated in the Nyack robbery, and Linda Evans, at different times wanted on a number of criminal charges, were apprehended carrying 740 pounds of explosives in 1985. Both acknowledged that the explosives were to be used to carry out additional bombings. Rosenberg was given 58 years in prison, Evans 40.

President Bill Clinton pardoned both women.

Written by his own hand, former U.S. Border Patrol Agent Gary Brugman tells how, in the performance of his duty, he was falsely charged and convicted of violating the civil rights of an alien caught entering the U.S. illegally at the Mexican border. This case, along with the cases of Ramos and Compean, Hernandez, Sipe, and who knows how many more, serves as proof of the agenda of malicious prosecution by Johnny Sutton against law enforcement officers who dare to uphold our immigration laws. Okay, I'm Offended.

Enough emails. My official opinion:

I have said things about John Edwards, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and the rest of the democrats that are certainly offensive and that make Ann Coulter sound like a nun. I speak for myself, and not the republican party, or conservatives. As does Ann Coulter.

I note that in the video you can hear a good many of the conservatives who were in the room at the time applaud her "offensive" remark.

There is now a petition for bloggers to sign that seeks to bar Ann Coulter from future CPAC events. Are they going to bar all of the conservatives in the audience who applauded too? And what do you want to bet that at least some of those conservatives who applauded Ann's little barb have now signed that petition?

I am more offended by the "conservatives" at CPAC who welcomed and applauded a gun-grabbing liberal candidate for president who is so pro-abortion that he thinks our tax dollars should pay for them, who is pro-gay rights, who is so pro-amnesty for llegals that he not only worked tirelessly to create a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants but gave them free healthcare at the taxpayers' expense, than I am offended by Ann's comment.

I am more offended by the "conservative" bloggers at CPAC who applauded a liberal candidate for president who supports mccain-feingold than I am offended by Ann's comment.

But then, that's just me.

UPDATE: Turns out not everyone is signing on the outrage. Emperor Misha issued a bitch slap! and I agree, Ann directed her comment to the wrong candidate. Whoa, at Cold Fury, Mike is furious, and so is Joe! PoliPundit thinks its all about the money honey!

Mike at Cold Fury makes this point:

... a year from now, all of this — every last bit of it — will be forgotten, and it will have all the lasting impact on future elections of…last year’s CPAC. Anybody remember the significance of that one? Anybody remember anything at all about it?

Besides Coulter’s “raghead” remark, that is.

So there!

Final Update: The icing on the cake!

Wish I had a watermelon

MIAMI, United States (AFP) - A prominent Miami developer was arrested Friday for allegedly skimming official funds to buy himself a 150,000-dollar sculpture of a giant watermelon slice.

Raul Masvidal turned himself in to authorities after he was charged with organized fraud and grand theft.

Masvidal had obtained millions of dollars from the Miami-Dade county to build new offices for the Housing Agency, but used part of the money to buy the sculpture by artist Julio Larraz, according to an affidavit filed in court.

The sculpture, called "Mars", portrays a huge watermelon slice that has been bitten.

To hide the purchase, he allegedly asked an art broker to write a fake invoice that listed only a sculpture of stacked cups that was to grace the new building, but charged for both artworks.

The Cuban-born Masvidal had gained prominence in Miami as a political advisor, philanthropist and businessman.

"What a great disappointment," said State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. "He turned on his community. He turned on his friends."

Masvidal is pleading innocent, and claims he was framed by the artist, who was his childhood friend. It should be interesting to see how he explains away the fact that he used the watermelon sculpture as collateral for a $125,000 ''personal loan'' -- listing the item as his personal property.

Both sculptures were found at the Medley storage yard of Delant Construction -- the contractor on both the Hometown Station project and on renovations to Masvidal's Coral Gables home.

Here's a coincidence: Masvidal had a brief stint as a watermelon farmer.

Hillary Panders to the South

Complete with a phony Southern accent...

"I just want to begin by giving praise to the Lord Almighty," said Mrs Clinton, 59, with a Southern twang not normally detectable in her speeches, as she announced she had come as "a sister in worship and a grateful friend and beneficiary of what happened in Selma 42 years ago".

"I don't feel no ways tired..." so said herself...

Ah but who can forget when she spoke to the NAACP: "And youse know wha I'ma a talkin 'bout!"

Meet Jihad

Just another horror story of an innocent moderate moslem being oppressed by islamophobia.

The German interior ministry is appealing against a decision by the Berlin authorities to allow an Islamist to name his son Jihad, the Arabic word used for holy war.

Reda Seyam fought for 18 months for permission to give his sixth child the name after the registry in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg initially rejected his application, saying the name was inappropriate because of its association with terrorism, and "may endanger the child".

Mr Seyam, 47, a self-declared Islamist, was shown on television this week presenting his son. Grinning into the camera, Jihad on his knee, he said: "You had barely come into the world and you were in court. Your fight has already begun."

In the same programme he defended the terror attacks on the United States on September 11 2001, and on Bali in 2002.

in 2002 a Turkish couple living in Germany were denied permission to name their child Osama bin Laden.

Wouldn't you like to be his neighbor?

Burka Blues

In Afghanistan girls aren't supposed to play music or sing songs. But 25-year-old Nargiz didn't care. She started the Burka Band, the first Afghan girl band ever.

- At first I didn't believe it, when the German producer told me the song was a hit in Germany . It was fantastic, but at the same time, we also worried that somebody in Afghanistan would find out who we were because of all the attention, remembers Nargiz, who estimates that only 10 people in Afghanistan actually know who the faces behind the burkas in the band belong to.

- My mother wears a burka, I must wear a burka too.
We all wear a burka, we don't know who is who.
Blueee, burka blue.

- Of course it was a joke to sing in the burkas, but it was also necessary to wear them. If people in Afghanistan knew who the members of the Burka Band were, we could be attacked or killed because there are still a lot of religious fanatics here, says Nargiz, who hasn't told any of her friends that she has played in the Burka Band.

- I'd like to play again, but right now it is not possible. Last year there was a big bomb at a concert here in Kabul , and lots of people are still against female singers because the religous leaders condemn it. It will probably take 10 years before we will have real girl bands here in Afghanistan , says Nargiz, who now works in an international organisation in Kabul .

Amazing isn't it, that these girls could be put to death for such a thing.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Everyone loves Dr. Seuss. From Horton Hears a Who, right on down to One Fish, Two Fish, we read his stories, and we read them to our children. Bob Dylan made an album using his stories.

The question of the day... "How many words are there in Dr. Suess' Green Eggs and Ham?"

But, Fox in Socks aside, there was a lot more to Theodor Seuss Geisel than just Green Eggs and Ham...

In looking over Dr. Seuss cartoons for this post, I was struck by the similarity in theme from way back when and today. Judging from the message, not much has changed.

Today, we have Cindy Sheehan, back then we had Charles Lindbergh. and back then, they called themselves "The America First Committee." Basically, they were isolationists, and they opposed America's involvement in WWII. They didn't care who died overseas, as long as they had ice in their martinis here in the states.

Change the book title to "Saddam the Wolf" and this cartoon is as applicable to the anti-war movement today as it was in 1941. Sadly, there will always be those among us who are willing to assist evil by closing their eyes and pretending that they don't see, those who would hurry past the alley and ignore the screams.

In 1941, America First Committee's Founder, Charles Lindbergh, claimed that America was being pushed into war against Hitler by “the British, the Jewish and the Roosevelt administration.” Lindbergh claimed that the Jews were powerful because of their “large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio, and our government.”

Of course, Israel was not yet a state but, it sounds familiar, doesn't it?

A little research on The America First Committee brought up an excellent article by Ronald Radosh titled "Isolationism Strikes Again." Written in 2003, it addresses the similarities between peace activists during WWII and today.

The naysayers opposed to the campaign for liberation of Iraq, and the doomsday scenario they laid out, struck those of us with knowledge of history with an eerie sense of déjà vu. The isolationism that was employed to undermine American will and self-confidence in fighting the fascist and militarist aggressors in World War II has been revived, this time targeted against our President and our commitment to the liberation of Iraq.

So much is made of the polls that show that Amerrica is weary of the war, and today, Bush is being pressured to surrender in Iraq. And... in 1941, the polls showed that while 60 percent of the American public favored aid to Britain, less than 13 percent were willing to see the U.S. go to war with Nazi Germany, even if it meant that Britain would lose.

Is evil overseas any less evil because its overseas?

FDR acted against the tide, daring to show true leadership by advancing policies that would deal with the actual threat, while skillfully avoiding the wrath of the isolationist lobby and Congress. Today, George W. Bush shows his ability for comparable leadership, by moving ahead to do what is necessary, taking the nation with him, and ignoring the protestors, the disgruntled opposition anti-war Democrats, and the fierce opposition of the French and German governments.

Its true, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

---------------------

But... its still Dr. Seuss' birthday, In honor of the occassion, I thought I'd drag this out of the closet:

MREs are Yummy - NOT!

We Do Not Like Them Uncle Sam
"MREs. Yum. Not!"

A collection of Dr. Seuss Political Cartoons can be found at Dr. Seuss Went to War: A Catalog of Political Cartoons

and... the answer to the question of the day: There are only 50 words in Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham." In 1960 Bennett Cerf bet Geisel $50 that he couldn't write an entire book using only fifty words. Green Eggs and Ham was result.

BTW... Cerf never paid the $50.

Hey Grandma! What's for Dinner?

NAPLES, Italy (Reuters) - A 74-year-old Italian grandmother who bought a sack of potatoes at the her local market found a live grenade among the spuds.

"I found a bomb in the potatoes," Olga Mauriello said in a telephone interview with Reuters.

"I went to the market to buy some potatoes and that's where the bomb was. But this bomb was covered in dirt, and I put it in water and got all dirt off. And then I realized 'It's a bomb'!"

Police said the pine cone-shaped grenade, which had no pin and was still active, was the same type used by U.S. soldiers in Europe in World War Two. Authorities believe the mix-up happened at a farm in France, where the grenade was plucked from the ground along with potatoes.

To the woman's relief, police and explosives experts in the small town of San Giorgio a Cremano, near Naples, recovered the grenade and safely detonated it on Wednesday.

But Mauriello was still shaking off her close brush with death. It didn't look like a potato and it was heavier than one. But what if she had cooked it?
