If this Bill ultimately passes, it's over for conservatives- what happened in California will spread across the States, where once formerly Republican states were overrun by the influx of Mexicans and other Latinos who defend the welfare state and vote Democratic. We make a stand now- might as well die with our boots on if we're not successful in killing this.

Vince, come and visit South Florida, it is already here.

Double U-
I already live here in South Florida, so I know the deal- but there's a difference between a Cuban-American population that largely supports Republicans, versus importing an entire underclass of low-skilled uneducated workers who will vote Democratic by 5 to 1. Yes, I know that Cubans arent the only group that can be classified under "Hispanic" or "Latino" that are present in large numbers down here, and their refusal to assimilate and learn English is frustrating to put it mildly, but granting amnesty to millions of illegals who are overwhelmingly uneducated Mexicans plus their extended families will truly be the straw that breaks our backs, and Republicans' thin political majorities. If you think it's bad now, just wait until the consequences of the welfare state are imposed upon you.

I have seen the encroachment in Washington State, Sondra K lives here too, the entire east side is little Mexico, enclaves of crime and welfare where very few speak English. Ronald Reagan made the first mistake of granting them amnesty, they then moved in their Mexican relatives while the state and federal officials turned a blind eye toward enforcing the influx of illegals. In less than 20 years they took over most of the small farming communities, that now have the look and feel of Mexican villages. Since Washington is a sanctuary state illegals get preferential treatment especially from former state attorney general and now Socialist Governor Gregoir.

Vince, maybe it is just the Palm Beach area, I no longer live in Broward) the Cubans are not the problem, it is the Mexicans and Guatemalans in the area. There is a truck that drives around here painted in a Mexican flag with "CHE" on the tag.

Im in Palm Beach too, and I agree with you, there's no doubt the "undocumented American" (heh) problem is growing. Ive seen Mexican looking individuals passing out on front lawns in the middle of the night here in the city whose name rhymes with "Loca"- front lawns of houses that they don't own. Anyone down here in South Florida wearing a CHE T-Shirt- (by the way, I saw lots of Che fasion garb in Dublin, Ireland, when I was over there a couple of weeks ago) is obviously an ignoramous of the highest order, and I dare him to where that down in Little Havana. Suffice to say, most other Latinos don't like Cubans, and they are quite content to see Cuba shackled by Castro, because it only means one less country for them to compete with in the international economy.
But I digress- the Shamnesty Bill must be killed-and as I type we are 2 friggin votes from killing this thing off until President Thompson takes office. Courage, DoubleU, Courage!
