Why we fight

On the same day that we learned about our troops' rescue of these children, Nancy Pelosi spoke about what our troops are doing in Iraq...
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the war in Iraq a “tragedy” and a “grotesque mistake...”
Last November the same Nancy Pelosi claimed "The three most important congressional issues of today are “our children, our children, our children: their health, their education, their economic security, their families, the environment in which they live, and safe neighborhoods.”
What is the war about?
On Saturday, April 14, 2007 a terrorist exploded in Kerbala. He killed and/or wounded more than 250 civilians. Most of the victims were shoppers and street salesmen. Among them were children on a school trip. Some of the victims burned to death.
This is what it looked like:

The war is not about Osama bin Laden, its about the ideology behind Osama bin Laden, the war is about the ideology behind the brutal and senseless murder of the child you see in the picture above, a child who should be laughing and playing and learning and living, a child who instead, perished in flames and agony, a victim of terror.
The war is about children like the ones our troops rescued.
If we lose this war, it means the people responsible have won, and it means that they have won because they killed enough children to make us give up. And it means they are free to continue kill, to continue their reign of terror.
Obviously, Nancy wasn't talking about the children in these pictures, and she wasn't talking about the other children who are killed in terror attacks. Because Nancy, and the rest of the democrats, have decided to reward the terrorists who kill innocents by turning over to them Iraq and its people. The democrats have decided to support and encourage the terrorists, instead of supporting our troops and their mission to put an end to terror.
I'm sickened by the hypocrisy of people who would claim that they are "all for the children" while they have decided not only to allow the abuse of that child, but are trying to convince us that to abandon Iraq to the terrorists responsible for bringing death to countless others is somehow the right thing to do. How do these democrats rationalize their support of the "resistence" that is responsible for such things?
How can anyone look at those pictures and decide that what our troops are doing is a tragedy and a grotesque mistake? How can anyone look at the end result of evil and decide to allow it continue? Because its there and not here? Is evil less evil because it happened over there and not over here?
Why can't harry Reid and John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the democrats see that if we have lost this war, then that means the terrorists have won this war?
Those aren't "our" children in those pictures, but it could easily be so, and it will be so, because if we let the terrorists win over there, they will be coming over here.
Losing is simply not an option.
G-d bless our troops for what they do, and yes, that includes you, Colonel Fred. You are my hero!

Ya know, everytime I read your blogs/website and what you have to say about the democrats and the war I get so upset and mad because it is soooooo true. The DUMBOCRATS are more two-faced than the terrorists, they put a smile on their faces and then turn their back on our troops, our country, and our values. It make me want to puke and I hope Pelosi and Reid choke on a chicken bone. If I say anymore than that, I might have the government after me!
You speak nothing but the truth my Jewish friend.
Thank you Linda

Why dont these people protect themselves?? Why dont they stand up for their lives?? Do they ALL want to die?? I have a hard time understanding why they dont stand up and protect themselves. Not all Islamotards want to be blown up...

I remember when you first posted that picture Linda, it made me cry then and it makes me cry now.
These people are without souls, and I'm not talking about the terrorists, I'm talking about the cut and run democrats.
Our Military has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty, they are all that stands between us and chaos, madness, death and destruction.

If we leave, these will not be isolated events. They will be the norm, just like in Lebanon and Palestine. And when Iran, allied with Syria and working through it's surrogate Hamas and Jaysh al Madhi, consolidates it's gains and builds its nukes, it will happen here. The only other choices at that time will to accept dhimmitude, convert, or fight. Will our stalwart representatives decide to fight, or will they pander to the weak by following the easy path? A look at what's happening in the immigration debacle should provide insight into that outcome.
The time to have a pair and a spine is now. Truly, America hangs in the balance.
