FBI = Fooled by Islam
Nada Nadim Prouty, just another illegal immigrant, doing the spying that Americans won't do:
Nada Nadim Prouty, a 37-year-old Lebanese national and resident of Vienna, Va., pleaded guilty today in the Eastern District of Michigan to charges of fraudulently obtaining U.S. citizenship, which she later used to gain employment at the FBI and CIA; accessing a federal computer system to unlawfully query information about her relatives and the terrorist organization Hizballah; and conspiracy to defraud the United States.
According to documents filed in court by the government, Prouty first entered the United States from Lebanon on June 24, 1989, on a one-year, non-immigrant student visa. After her visa expired, she remained in the country, residing in Taylor, Mich., with her sister, Elfat El Aouar, and an individual named Samar Khalil Nabbouth. In order to remain in the United States and evade U.S. immigration laws, Prouty later offered money to an unemployed U.S. citizen to marry her. On August 9, 1990, Prouty married the U.S. citizen. As planned, Prouty never lived with her fraudulent “husband,” but continued to live with her sister and Nabbouth.
Prouty later submitted a series of false, fraudulent and forged documents and letters to federal immigration officials to verify the validity of the fraudulent marriage in order to obtain permanent residency status, and, later, U.S. citizenship, thereby committing naturalization fraud. On Aug. 5, 1994, the former Immigration and Naturalization Service granted Prouty U.S. citizenship under the name “Nada Nadim Deladurantaye.” The following year, she filed for a divorce from her fraudulent husband, and later obtained a U.S. passport, which she used to travel overseas.
In April 1999, through a series of false representations and use of her fraudulently procured proof of U.S. citizenship, Prouty, then known as “Nada Nadim Alley,” obtained employment as a special agent of the FBI. It was a prerequisite to FBI employment that she be a U.S. citizen. As a special agent with the FBI, Prouty was granted a security clearance and assigned to the FBI’s Washington Field Office to work on an extraterritorial squad investigating crimes against U.S. persons overseas. During her tenure with the FBI, Prouty was not assigned to work on investigations involving the international terrorist group Hizballah.
In August 2000, Prouty’s sister, Elfat El Aouar, entered into a marriage with Talal Khalil Chahine, the owner of La Shish Inc. In September 2000, Prouty, while employed as an FBI special agent, used the FBI’s computerized Automated Case System (ACS), without authorization, to query her own name, her sister’s name, and that of her brother-in-law, Talal Khalil Chahine. In addition, on or about June 4, 2003, Prouty accessed the FBI’s ACS and obtained information from a national security investigation into Hizballah that was being conducted by the FBI’s Detroit Field Office.
According to court documents, in August 2002, Prouty’s sister, Elfat El Aouar, and her brother-in-law, Talal Khalil Chahine, attended a fundraising event in Lebanon where the keynote speakers were Chahine himself and Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah. Sheikh Fadlallah had previously been designated by the U.S. government as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist based upon his status as a leading ideological figure with Hizballah.
In June 2003, through a series of false representations and use of her fraudulently procured proof of U.S. citizenship, Prouty, then known as “Nada Nadim Prouty,” voluntarily left her position with the FBI and obtained employment with the CIA. It was also a prerequisite to CIA employment that she be a U.S. citizen.
--------
That's the story, according to the press release issued by the Department of Justice. How could such a thing happen? According to this article by CBS...
"She had a complete, full investigation," Kodak said, referring to the FBI's background check on Prouty before she was hired.
Oh well. I feel much better. After all, the FBI is completely trustworthy. Don't believe me? Just ask the CIA:
"The CIA may have been a little too trusting of the FBI's ability to do a background check, as the bureau's own pre-employment investigation of Prouty would have covered her first years in country," the official said. "That won't happen again."
According to mainstream media outlet CBS...
While officials say there is no evidence of actual espionage and no evidence that she was working as a spy, she is accused of passing information to sympathizers of Hezbollah, a group the US has labeled a terrorist organization.
No evidence of actual espionage? Okay then. According to the Detroit News:
One of the allegations against Prouty is that while an FBI agent she went into a computer system
without authorization in 2003 and obtained information about the Detroit's FBI office's investigation of Hezbollah.Hezbollah, also known as the "Party of God," is an Islamic militant group based in Lebanon that has been designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. government since 1997.
Hezbollah, in addition to attacks on Israel, were blamed for the 1983 bombings of the U.S. embassy and Marine barracks in Lebanon, which killed 258 Americans.
The Shiite group has financial ties and other links with Iran.
No evidence of actual espionage? Prouty entered this country illegally, she lied and manipulated her way first into the FBI, and then into the CIA. Her family members are linked to a terrorist entity, Hezbollah, and her unauthorized computer searches concerned her family members and Hezbollah, and she took that classified information home with her and passed that information into the hands of a terrorist entity which is actively working to destroy America.
I guess it all depends on what your definition of "espionage" is.
Hat tip to Bloggie, who gave us the DOJ Press Release and sent my blood pressure through the roof.
remember... there is no terrorist threat.
You're perfectly safe. Don't you feel safe?

Meet Samina Malik
a/k/a the Lyrical Terrorist:
Samina Malik, who liked to call herself a "lyrical terrorist", called for attacks on the West and described "poisoned bullets" capable of killing an entire street in her poetry.
The 23-year-old Muslim wrote of her desire to become a martyr and listed her favourite videos as the "beheading ones".
Described as a "committed Islamic extremist", Malik, a shop assistant at Heathrow, hoarded an extensive collection of terrorism manuals, the Old Bailey heard.
She was a member of an extremist group linked to Omar Bakri Mohammed, a hate preacher who fled to Lebanon from Britain two years ago.
Yesterday a jury found her guilty of possessing documents likely to be used for terrorism under the Terrorism Act 2000, by a majority of ten to one, after deliberating for 19 hours.
Malik, who wore a black head scarf, wept as the verdict was read out.
Jonathan Sharp, prosecuting, told the court the defendant liked to be known as the "lyrical terrorist" or "a stranger awaiting martyrdom".
"She is a committed Islamic extremist, who supports terrorism and terrorists.
"She had a library of material that she had collected for terrorist purposes.
"That collection would be extremely useful for someone planning terrorist activity."
The court heard how police raided her home in Southall, West London, after an email from her was found on the computer of a terror suspect in October last year.
She had a profile on the social networking website Hi-5, where she called for the execution of "depraved" Westerners .
The British-born Muslim listed her interests as helping the Mujahideen "in any way I can".
She also wrote of how she enjoyed video messages from Osama Bin Laden and "videos that showed massacres of the kuffars", or non-Muslims.

Just another moderate moslem, and remember... there is no terrorist threat. I'm sure you'll be glad to know that after she was found guilty, Judge Peter Beaumont told Malik that she was an enigma and then, he set her free on bail pending sentencing.
Nothing to see here but a really lousy poet, eh?

In Honor of Islamofacsist Week
I thought you might like to meet the man who has dubbed himself "Osama Bin London."
An Islamic leader who called himself "Osama Bin London" groomed and corrupted young Muslims - including the 21/7 bombers - at terror training camps across Britain, a court has heard.
Mohammed Hamid told his followers the 52 deaths in the July 7 attacks on London were "not even breakfast to me", the jury was told.
Hamid organised Friday prayer groups at his home in East London and went on a camp in the Lake District with all four of the men convicted of the July 21 attempted bombings, Woolwich Crown Court was told.
He ran an Islamic bookstall on Oxford Street with Muktar Ibrahim, one of the guilty bombers, where he was arrested for being aggressive to members of the public and making a racist comment to a policeman, the jury was told.
Hamid was said to have given his name as Osama bin London and to have told the police officer: "I’ve got a bomb and I’m going to blow you all up."
The court heard that Hamid, 50, of Clapton, east London, is accused of soliciting to murder, a charge to which co-accused Atilla Ahmet has already pleaded guilty.
"It is the prosecution’s case that Hamid, assisted by Ahmet, was a recruiter, groomer and corrupter of young Muslims,” David Farrell QC, prosecuting told the jury.
"His purpose was to convert such men to his own fanatical and extreme beliefs and having given them such a foundation, thereby enabling them to move on to join others in the pursuit of jihad [holy war] by acts of terrorism.
"The fact that some did exactly as he desired is, we suggest, highly relevant to his real purpose and his continued purpose after July 21 2005.”
A few of Bin London's followers (the ones that got caught):

Osama Bin London. Sounds like the start of a bad joke, doesn't it? You think there is no terrorist threat? Think again.
What this man accomplished, the death of 52 innocent people, by using his so-called religion to encourage others to kill for him, is what islam is all about. Laughing at him won't save your life, because he, and others like him, are dead serious about killing you. If you think their grand plans are laughable, you need only remember 911. I am sure that in 1990s, Clinton and his ilk scoffed at the thought of a few terrorists hijacking a few airplanes and flying them into the WTC. It likely seemed as farfetched as the idea that they might blow up our tunnels in New York.
Those are the faces of islam and make no mistake, these men want to kill you. There is no use in trying to figure out why they want to kill you, normal, rational people will never understand or relate to the kind of person who would worship an illiterate and epileptic mass murderer, rapist, pillager, thief, terrorist and pedophile. Those who follow the teachings of a terrorist can only be terrorists themselves. Their goal is to dominate the world, reduce it to ashes, and bring forth the evil that is islam.
You can choose to help them, or fight them.

Welcome to Michigan
Home to the largest population of moslems in America:

Police picked up Houssein Zorkot at night, in a park in a Detroit suburb. He was wearing dark clothes and camouflage makeup and armed with AK-47. He resisted arrest and was tasered by the officers.
I'm sure he's just another troubled youth and its all just a mistake. Those nasty racist policemen misunderstood his motives. There's a perfectly good reason for Zorkot to be crawling around in the dark with a AK-47, dark clothes and covered in war paint. Call the ACLU and que up concerned parents claiming he's a good boy who loves America.
Of course, there's nothing to worry about, if there were, well, the networks would surely interrupt coverage of OJ Simpson to tell you about it.
Oh... BTW... this is from Houssein Zorkot's personal website:

Remember... there is no terrorist threat. But... yannow, if you get tired of hearing about OJ, the Jawa Report has been all over this story.

Counterterrorism Officials Analyzing Islamic Web Post Warning of 'Special Gift'
DEVELOPING STORY: Federal counterterrorism officials are analyzing a posting on an Islamic forum Web site that warns of "a special gift" to be given on the sixth anniversary of Sept. 11, FOX News has learned.
The warning was posted Sept. 2 on a site frequented by radical groups and said in part that "there will be a special gift coming on the day of the blessed invasion of Manhattan."
Federal officials told FOX News they are trying to determine if it might be a specific warning or just part of broad chatter that has been heard during the last few months.
Postings talking about "gifts" have been seen before in the days leading up to the anniversary of Sept. 11
Sheesh, and I posted about that website just yesterday... scroll down or click here.

Nothing to see here
I'm sure its just a couple of troubled asian youths, so just move along...

Except, they don't look like troubled asian youths to me. They look like a couple of happy moslem terrorists, but hey, what do I know?
Reihl World View has excellent coverage, complete with links. I'm just gonna steal some of the quotes...
Berkeley County police pulled over a vehicle in a routine traffic stop near Meyers Road and Highway 1-76 around 6 p.m. The vehicle with Florida tags was driven by two men of Middle Eastern descent. Inside police found explosive devices. Highway 1-76 near Goose Creek has since been shut down.
---------- Cannon said two men who were in the car were still at the scene at 2 a.m. An FBI agent said officials were trying to determine whether a crime had been committed.
---------- WIS News 10 spoke with officials at the Berkeley County Detention Center who said 24-year-old Ahmed Mohamed and 21-year-old Yousef Megahed, the occupants of the car, are still in police custody.
So far they have only been charged with possession of explosive devices, but the FBI is working to see if more crimes have been committed.
---------- Goose Creek - Two men are being held in the Berkeley County Detention Center after police find explosive making devices in their car. The men had at least one ready to go bomb and bomb making materials that include chemicals.
---------- There are conflicting reports as to the quantity of explosive making materials in that vehicle. FBI (website) reports are saying that there is not believed to be a link to terrorism.
---------- WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The FBI said on Sunday that there was no evidence of a terrorism link in the case of two college engineering students who possessed explosive materials in South Carolina over the weekend.
The two men, described in local media reports as non-U.S. citizens of Middle Eastern descent, were taken into custody late on Saturday near Charleston, South Carolina, after local police noticed what looked like explosives in their Toyota sedan during a routine traffic stop.
The FBI said the material proved to be for making homemade fireworks, not dangerous munitions.
"There's no (terrorism link) that we've identified at this point," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told Reuters.
---------- Police became suspicious when one of the men tried to hide a laptop computer. A search of the car turned up pieces of pvc piping, various model rocket motors and other items considered suspicious.
---------- An officer at the detention center said explosives and possible immigration charges will likely be filed Monday. A news conference is scheduled for Monday at 11:30 a.m.
The law enforcement source, who insisted on anonymity, said the materials included at least one bomb and a number of bomb-making elements, including chemicals capable of being used in the production of bombs, fuses and igniters -- small gunpowder charges used to ignite some explosives.
and here's the Quote of the Day:
Officials say the men did not show up on any terror suspect list, and authorities don’t think they posed a threat.
So you see, first it was a bomb, then it was bombs, then was not a bomb, then it was firecrackers, then it was a bomb and bomb making elements. You should have no worries, because authorities don't think they posed a threat.
Boy, am I ever glad to hear that!
Please don't point out that the Glasgow terrorists were not on any terror suspect list either, its a petty and stupid point.
There's a press conference scheduled for today at 11:30, and I expect we will be told that the two "asian" guys in the car are students, that it wasn't a bomb, this is not terrorism, and they are probably troubled youths.
Because, after all, there is no terrorist threat.

Today's Bumper Sticker

WASHINGTON - Airport security officers around the nation have been alerted by federal officials to look out for terrorists practicing to carry explosive components onto aircraft, based on four curious seizures at airports since last September.
The unclassified alert was distributed on July 20 by the Transportation Security Administration to federal air marshals, its own transportation security officers and other law enforcement agencies. The seizures at airports in San Diego, Milwaukee, Houston and Baltimore included "wires, switches, pipes or tubes, cell phone components and dense clay-like substances," including block cheese, the bulletin said. "The unusual nature and increase in number of these improvised items raise concern."
Security officers were urged to keep an eye out for "ordinary items that look like improvised explosive device components."
The four seizures were described this way:
• San Diego, July 7. A U.S. person — either a citizen or a foreigner legally here — checked baggage containing two ice packs covered in duct tape. The ice packs had clay inside them rather than the normal blue gel.
• Milwaukee, June 4. A U.S. person's carryon baggage contained wire coil wrapped around a possible initiator, an electrical switch, batteries, three tubes and two blocks of cheese. The bulletin said block cheese has a consistency similar to some explosives.
• Houston, Nov. 8, 2006. A U.S. person's checked baggage contained a plastic bag with a 9-volt battery, wires, a block of brown clay-like minerals and pipes.
• Baltimore, Sept. 16, 2006. A couple's checked baggage contained a plastic bag with a block of processed cheese taped to another plastic bag holding a cellular phone charger.
Remember... there is no terrorist threat.

Nothing to see here
Because there is no terrorist threat!
Federal sources told Dallas CBS affiliate KTVT that law enforcement officers have confiscated a large cache of weapons found in an apartment near the federal building in downtown Dallas.
Sources say a maintenance man entered the apartment to work on some plumbing. Once inside, authorities say, the man found the weapons.
According to sources, among the weapons discovered were two AK-47 rifles, an Uzi 9 millimeter submachine gun, a TEC-9 submachine gun, a 40 millimeter ordnance launcher, a handheld ordnance launcher, and about 500 rounds of ammunition.
Authorities have not yet arrested anyone, but were searching for the tenant of the apartment. Authorities told the television station that the tenant travels to the Middle East frequently and just returned from there this morning.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Holy Land Foundation trial starting in that nearby federal building, where jury selection is not going well at all.

Repeat after me
A Muslim convert who talked about his desire to wage jihad against civilians was charged Friday in a plot to set off hand grenades at a shopping mall during the Christmas rush, authorities said.
"He fixed on a day of December 22nd on Friday ... because it was the Friday before Christmas and thought that would be the highest concentration of shoppers that he could kill and injure," said Robert Grant, the agent in charge of the Chicago FBI office.
I know... I'm not supposed to be here... but there was this laptop just sitting there!

Repeat after me... again...
There is no terrorist threat:
SKOWHEGAN -- The explosion of two homemade bombs inside Wal-Mart Saturday afternoon sent a store full of holiday shoppers scurrying for the exits.
Two acid bombs detonated in two separate aisles as the store was crowded with shoppers around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, said Sgt. Joel Davis, fire investigation supervisor for the State Fire Marshal's Office. One of the bombs detonated in the pet area. The second was in the store's toy section, Davis said.
For the record, Skowhegan is in Maine. Maine is in the United States. And a similar bomb in another part of the state seriously injured a police officer. However, you should still feel safe, because the democrats are in the house, and there is no terrorist threat.
If I were a gambler, I'd put my money on a couple of white boys just having a little fun, because after all, there is no terrorist threat.
Nope, nothing to worry about...

UPDATE: Teenagers, that's all we know.... that and the fact that they placed a few other bombs...
